Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for April 2023

Its been a busy few days, but this morning before company came, I snuck in a Penny 30 min. Full Body Circuit Training. I really liked it and it was a challenging 30 min. She used a step bench. 3 circuits by body part. 5 exercises 30/10 repeated 2x. She had a core finisher.

I did some walking last week. It's supposed to be a beautiful week so I plan on doing a lot of walking this week and may just do 30 min workouts. 70's all week. Love it !

Hope everyone had a nice Easter.

This morning I did RAW Upper Body with Sammie and had an excellent workout. I have only done this one once, last year in July, and not sure why I haven't done it since. It is a good workout, a real burner. Music was pretty good as well.

This is how it went:

1 minute each exercise, 10 seconds rest

Triceps
Overhead Extensions: 8's
Kickbacks: 8's
Repeat

Shoulders
Lateral Raise: 8's
Alternate Front Raise: 8's
Repeat

Back
Lunge back Row: 12's
High Pulls: 8's
Repeat

Chest
Pullover/Flies: 12's
Chest Press: 12's
Repeat

Deb Added:
Biceps
Hammer Curls w/Twist: 12's
Dumbbell Curls: 12's
Repeat

Abs
Crunch
Bicycle

Kelly didn't have bicep work so I added that. Weird. This was a tough workout. I rested a bit between some of the exercises and stretched. I really liked this workout. Workout was 45 minutes (30 without my add-on), burned 335 calories, did 375 steps and HR was 124/157.

Roxie - What are the names of the Elf wands? I checked Ulta but didn't see anything new out there. I finally found the Halo Glow highlighter, that took me months to find. I like it ok, it's not as good as CT's but it's a good product.

Great workouts everyone and I hope you all enjoyed your Easter. Mine was very nice but I ate too much. I seriously need to reel in my eating, it is getting out of control, especially with the sweets. I'm off this week so I will try to get in some extra workout time and be good with my eating. Have a great day!!

Yesterday I took the day off from exercising to just enjoy the holiday. Today, I am tired and I think I may take today off as well. I feel sore and tired so I will listen to my body. I have taken the dogs for a walk, so at least I got some steps in for the day.

Debbie, great job on the workout today. Enjoy your week off, what do you have planned? I ate sushi yesterday but ended up having some chocolate and boy was it good. I am starting intermittent fasting again; I love how I feel, and I sleep better. I will be able to eat from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm and then nothing but water or tea after that. I will see how it goes, but I never eat dinner anyway, so it isn't that hard for me to do, it is just the snacking that gets me.

Doreen, great job on your workout today.

Cam, I am so happy for you that your weather is warming up!!!! I have cooler weather this week but by the weekend it should be a bit warmer.

I hope you all have great workouts today. BBL to read the posts for the day.

Tonight I did Michelle 30 min. Upper Body RIP and took a 1.5 mile walk with the dog. Beautiful night. It felt good to just wear a sweat shirt and not have to bundle up. Its supposed to hit 80 the next couple days. I know it will be short lived, so I will have to get out and enjoy it.

Diane, that Step & Strength looks like a good one.

Debbie, good workout today. I get irritated when an instructor skips a body part. BTW, my mom is doing well. Her memory isn't the greatest and she gets easily overwhelmed but she is healthier these days.

Doreen, good workout. I love Perfect Pump.

Roselyn, good workout.

Jolie, rest days are good.

Looks like it was dog walking day!

I had an awesome workout today!! I put together a mish-mosh of stuff and had a great workout. I started with a 1.3 mile walk on my treadmill to warm up plus I'm reading a good book and never seem to have time to read so I read that while walking. Then I did RAW Glute Finisher and used my green lighter band. My knee felt this workout but not in a bad way. But I sure can tell I did something. Then I did RAW Boxing Finisher using my 1.5# egg weights. Had a blast!!

Total workout time was 1 hr. 14 minutes, burned 672 calories! Not sure that's accurate because I charged my watch last night and it seems to give me an incredible calorie burn when I use it after it's charged, but I really like that number! HR was 144/196 and again, I don't think it was reading quite right because I never hit 180 let alone 196. But whatever, I know I had a great workout.

Jolie - I don't have much planned on my time off, just spring cleaning and a couple doctor appointments. Good luck with your fasting, I wish I could do that. I am always so hungry. I think I have a tape worm.

Cam - Great to hear about your mom! I understand the memory thing, my mom has problems with names sometimes and sometimes forgets what she is talking about. She will be 86 in July though. She still lives on her own. Good job with your workout!

Doreen & Roselyn - Great job on your workouts yesterday!

Roxie - Thanks for the heads up on the Elf. I am ordering a few. :)

Diane - Good job with your workouts! Did you enjoy Step and Strength? I'm not sure I can do a step workout yet, but I might try soon. I think I might be babying this knee a bit too much. I'm just scared to injure it.

Have a great day everyone! It's beautiful here this week, in the 70's and 80's all week. What a great time to have spring break!!!

Today I was supposed to do a Cathe Live Upper Body workout, but my son called me while I was on the TM warming up and an hour later, I was still walking and talking. I will do weights tomorrow for sure! Today's walk was uphill for 1 hour 16 minutes, traveled 4 miles and burned 665 calories. Max heart rate was 173 and average was 134.
Debbie, great workout you put together today, it looks like a great one. I am so happy that your knee is doing better, maybe soon we can do the Max Trainer workouts together :)

Cam, nice workout yesterday, especially the walk outside and the weather getting warmer!!!

Daine Sue, way to go on the workout yesterday, that one looks like a great workout.

My puppy is destroying my house right now so I have to run, bbl to read the other posts for the day.

Did Cathe Ripped w/HIIT Legs + Ab 2. Not a real fan of this series, but have always liked the ab segment. I really like ICE Lower Body better. Also took a 1.5 mile walk at lunch. Beautiful day. Going to sit outside before dinner.

Good workouts Ladies!

Evening,

walked on the beach today. It was very windy. It’s been raining nonstop since Saturday. It felt good to walk.

i am having a lot of problems with RP and my finger is still swollen. I talked to my Rheumatologist he wants to see me when I get back. I am on prednisone since January, I am taping down. He wants me to stay on a higher dose until I see him. If this keeps it up we have to leave Florida sooner.

Great job on your workouts today.

No workout today. I did not get much sleep as I had different areas hurting all night and could not get comfortable. I went to my ladies group gathering to play games and have breakfast then came back and took a nap. Hopefully things are all good tomorrow.

Belinda, I am sorry that you have all of that going on. It would be sad if you have to cut your vacation short. I hope you get some relief.

Debbie, I liked that workout that I did yesterday. I did edit it though as I realized I left a move out near the end. I was looking at it and thinking I remembered an overhead press in it. So I added on the squat/curl/press. It was a nice way to get in some of everything. I think we always have the fear of having to go back and fix something all over again or make it worse.

Nice workouts today. I need to get to bed as I am working on trying to get there before midnight.

perfect 30 low impact hiit this morning and wow- did that kick my butt!! I kept having to take personal breaks and stop early. I don't know if it was because I'm just that out of shape or if I slept bad or was hurgry/dehydrated but I'm going to need to re-try that one and see if I can do better!

Repeat

Finisher:
Standing Shoulder Press: 12's

Today I had an excellent workout, I did Cathe Live #136 Upper Body Challenge with the Ball, except I used a bench instead of a ball. I cannot find my pump for my ball and I went to use it and it is too flat to use. My workout was just as good with the bench and I could lift heavier weights too! The workout was 1 hour, I had to pause a few times to get situated for what was coming next. Next, I did the Max Trainer on an Interval Mode for 6 minutes and did better this time with it, even though I did used higher resistance. This thing is killer and I love how toned my legs are getting from using it. Total workout time was 1 hour 8 minutes and I burned 527 calories. There is a hard AB section at the end of the Live workout, but I had to substitute some exercises due to the fact that they were not low back friendly.

No time for personals, my tree trimmers just arrived, and I have to go outside with them. Make it a great day.

I did a Michelle 40 min. Strength & Cardio Intervals. It was tough. 1 min per exercise/15 sec rest. Jeesh! I had to pause the workout halfway through and take a longer break. The cardio was fun and had more moves involved.

Doreen, Our bodies adapt to the same type of exercise and after awhile we don't feel challenged. When you throw in different workouts weekly, your body feels the challenge and that's when change occurs. That workout is a goodie!

Jolie, good workout with Cathe Live UB.

Debbie, good workout. Hope you are enjoying your vacation.

Gotta walk the dog. Good workouts everyone!
