Getting Our Licks In!

Another very busy week at work. By the end of the day, my brain is numb and my eyes are tired. It is good to be so engaged. Yesterday was STS Total Body upper body only premix. It was all I had time for. Today was Double Wave Pyramed abd STS weights and plates abs. Ab work wasn't on the rotation, just a bonus. I did good with the weight section but was pooped out by the end of the plates. I think the plate ab workout is one of the most challenging sets of ab exercises that Cathe has done to date.

Got to run to a meeting. Will try to get back for personals later.

Well I have decided to try a rotation to see if that helps me keep on track a little better. I have always wanted to try the Rock Hard Bottoms one but it's pretty ambitious with sometimes two handwork outs in 1 day. But I started it today with CCC which for me always has had a dread factor so it was hard to do it BUT I DID and I even did the 300 Walking Lunges with no breaks!!!:eek::p I am going to feel it tomorrow and the next day I am sure!!;)

Last week I did Gym-style Legs and Chest and Triceps, I never did get to the Back, Shoulders and Biceps though.....and I taught my classes..

Michelle: well it's good to be busy and focused at work! I am glad you are still getting your work outs in as well! Good for YOU!:D
 
ShadowPup: how wonderful to hear from you and I am so sorry about your and yours health challenges! It amazes me how life can twist and turn and all we can do is decide to get up every morning and face it with as much grace and dignity as we can! And the pursuit of fitness is a hard enough goal without all the extra stressors! Sounds like you are doing great! (((((HUGS)))))
 
Didn't get around to exercising today. Will do it tomorrow.

Michelle, So awful to work hard like you do. You poor thing. Great job on Double Wave Pyramid and STS weights and plates abs. Proud of you when I know you must be so tired. Will do plate abs tomorrow, I have to do it because it's so challenging. Here comes modifications big time. LOL

Julie, Rotations are such a good thing to do. I'm just not there yet, but will soon be. Want to get some of the old DVD's I have in before I do it. So very proud of you for doing CCC, you have accomplished it plus the walking lunges and without any breaks. Wow. Good luck on your DOM's tomorrow. Yes!

Also great job on last weeks GS legs, chest and triceps and teaching classes.

I am glad to hear from you!! You are hanging in there. Are you starting to feel normal again as far as getting used to things? I hope so and hope your girls are awesome!!

Michelle it does seen like you work a lot but you too are still chugging along!

Today will be a yoga I think to stretch it all out not sure yet , yesterday was Sts total body and I'm so happy I am SORE today yaaa!!! I went pretty heavy so today I may stretch I think not sure but I was suppose to do insanity or Cathe HIIT I gave to check
 
Tonight was my own version of an upper body workout. Took 45 min. What? LOL it was a good workout. Last night when I went to bed (it's a very high bed) I jumped onto my bed and hurt my right knee. I don't think anything serious. I now have a step up so I can just step up to the bed and scoot onto my high bed. LOL

ReneeP, Great job on yesterdays STS TB and going heavy. Congrats on your DOM's. Yea!

Oh Janie a high bed sounds Devine!! I love my mattress but I wish it was higher! Plus I need to find a really good comforter with matching curtains lol. Good job on coming up with ur own weight workout

I did insanity pure cardio tonight and yah my back was feeling it today so I did a yoga DVD called yoga for a healthy back DVD by Marlo yogi it is an older one but really relaxes the back. Just stretching as I lay on the floor!! Nice lol
 
Was rainy and windy at the beach today so I did stair climbing for 30 min.

ReneeP, Yeah, I do love my high bed and it is soooooooooooo divine. Great job on Insanity pure cardio. Oh, I'm sorry your back felt that. Also great job on the yoga for a healthy back. I think I have that one.
Bought it for Joey awhile back.

Yah I decided to do step blast yesterday to give my back a brake but I awoke with it still sore so I did a weight workout today. Push pull and I love that one !! I always felt it can be challenging but I hear others say it is easy, but I have done it with light weights and it was easy but medium weights I could not do all the reps but this time I matched Cathe on the weights except the chest flys she did 15 I did 12 and on one arm rows was 25 for her I can only manage 20 but that is heavy then before and I did every single rep this time!! Oh I also went lower in weight on my squats because I know my back isn't strong to handle to heavy on a squat. So I have learned to really pay attention to what and where I am feeling the work and if my body can and can't gandle things. So I am loving this progress. So since I went as heavy as I could push pull made me sweat !! But I still feel energetic! That is a good workout.
 
Did 30/30 tonight. Whew, I love that workout.

ReneeP, Great job on SB yesterday. Sorry it's still sore. Also for doing PP. I love that one. It's hard for me too congrats for matching Cathe. YaHoo! And being careful where needed by listening to your body.

My body staged a full coup on Saturday--my back was extremely sore and my hip flexors were screaming. Listening to my body, I opted not to work out on Saturday and still feeling less than wonderful yesterday, I did YogaRelax. This 3-month get ready for summer rotation has just about done me in and my body is definitely waving the white flag. I did do GS back, shoulders, and biceps this morning. I backed off my weight amounts on the back exercises, but was able to stick with my weight amoutns for shoulders and biceps. Not sure if I will do Tabatacise tomorrow or something a little more low key. Will see how my back is feeling.

No gardening here this past weekend--it rained. Just too wet to do anything outside. Maybe next weekend. Boat is not in the water yet although the yard is working on getting it ready. But I need to find a ramp or steps for Ripken to make it easier for him to get on and off the boat.

Michelle, So sorry to hear your back is still feeling sore, and glad to see you are listening to your body and opted not to workout on Sat. Great job on Yoga Relax. Also great job on this mornings GS back, shoulders and biceps. Seems you are going through a rough period on workouts. It's OK, maybe do a couple of workouts with less intensity. Give your body a brake that way as well as resting a day. It's raining here today with bouts of sunshine. Don't know if I should go to the beach or garden. Hmmmmm. I love the thought of Ripken going on a ramp for him to get on the boat. Dear little soul he is.

Hi all. Writing from the road using Cathe 's app. Convenient to read but not so much for writing. Mostly walking and free weights in a few sets rather than anything intense . Radiation. Will be one third done today! Best to all.
 
Okay girls I am sorry I missed out on the conversations yesterday and day before I am so frustrated I can log into fb from my phone and get messege but for some reason I have trouble with Cathe.com on my phone since I got a new phone!! grr that s my fav APP I am so mad

I feel better since I have been warring earplugs and eye patches and then I have been eating a ton of raw veggies for lunch and I have to say I am really liking how I feel.. I am eating spinach salad for dinner with almonds and feta cheese and I have been eating less processed foods and lots of water I have lost five pounds in 2 and a half months!! I have been trying for so long and now I am finally seeing it pay off!! I didn't realize it but I do have more energy and I guess to I was afraid I would Jinx it!! My son even ask me one day where did I get my energy!! lol
I truly think this way of eating is a way to reverse a lot of damage!!
I will be in wv for a week so I may not get to post at all after Monday it is harder to get a signal there!!

Deb, Great job on walking and using free weight. Yea! 2/3 more to go. Hope you are not suffering. So sorry sweetie you have to go through this. Please keep us posted, we love hearing from you. Cause we love you.

ReneeP, I did miss you and was wondering. Glad you are feeling better and it seems you can never go wrong with eating healthy. Congratulations on your success. Will be looking forward to hearing from you when you can.

A quick check-in to say hello. I've switched yoga relax for my cardio workouts this week, but I stuck with the GS workouts, except on GS legs I just did the standing weight work and bypassed the floor stuff. The floor exercises on GS Legs work your back as well and I didn't want to go there. My back is feeling better, so I will swing back to the last week of the May rotation starting today.

ReneeP: Sounds like you are headed to WVa for the holiday weekend. Should be a lovely weekend for you all once this rain moves through the mid-Atlantic.

Janie: Even a rainy day at the beach is better than not being there, don't you think? Love 30/30; that was one of the workouts that I skipped last week when my back was hurting. I have a question for you because I know you have lots of different workouts: do you have any of Sean T's workouts and how would you compare him to Cathe? Right now beachbody is running a special on Sean T's Hip Hop Abs--you get like 10+ dvds for $27.95 (including the S&H). It seems like a really great deal. Sister bought the hip hop abs and seems to be enjoying it. She said it is something different and fun that she can add on after a Cathe workout. Just wondering if you have any thoughts to share.

Shadowpup: Hope the treatment is going well. Are you being treated at Hopkins? Are your DH and the animals with you yet? You were living in an apartment before, are you all moving into a house? It is great to have you back with us.
