Yum a nap sounds good.
I did low impact step and total body sculpting. Very easy smooth workouts ...just what I needed. I was gonna do crossfire but I still have tomorrow for high Intense workout ..I may do crossfire or cardio amd weights or body max 2. To many choices!
Michelle I bet it is good to see ur weight go up you can lift. StS sounds complicated to me. But I need to write what weight I'm using for my woorkouts. Maybe ill feel better when I see progress.
Hubby is at military training this weekend but base is close so he can come home at night I'm lucky. I think ill get a nap In to before he comes home!
 
Paul's memorial service was to celebrate his life. It was really well prepared and everyone had a good time. Just like Paul would have wanted it. Lots of family, friends and funny memory stories. There must have been 100 people or more. So many that there wasn't enough places to sit. He was so well loved, and will be remembered for the rest of our life times. Found out through talking with his uncle that he(his uncle) may be looking for a place in Shelton very near by (just minutes away). That would be so good, Joey would like him, A very nice man.

Got home and just to burn off some of the calories I've eaten at the memorial I did a short but intense 15 min hiit on the spinning bike. Whew! Hopefully it will take away some of the damage.

ReneeP, I love push and pull too, that is a very good workout. I think your plan on doing that one twice a week and incorporating ST too, is a good one. Great job on SB today by the way.

Michelle, I don't blame you taking it easy for a little bit. Great job on TBS, SJ. And good for you and your sis to start STS again. Love your plan for cardio. Either Cathe is getting a little easier or you have more strength than you think. I would guess you have improved Cathe's road trip from a year ago. Hope you can get some well deserve rest sometime along the way. Good for you starting STS again. It is wonderful to gain muscle. Good for you. Hope you enjoyed your nap.

Day after STS disc 1--boy do my muscles hurt. If memory serves me correctly, the first mesocycle is where I feel it the most. Oh boy. Lowmax today. I'm combining the cardios from the August rotation with STS--that way I'm getting a mix of classic cathe and more recent cardios from Intensity, the Low Impact Series, and TTM, and Crossfire. Gosh I hope I make it.

Janie: the memorial for your nephew sounds like it was very nice--a celebration of life and a time for those left behind to grieve, start healing, and begin to move forward.

ReneeP: it sounds like your husband is a reservist if he is at military training this weekend. A good portion of the work I do is regarding reserve manpower issues--some of the most challenging and interesting work I've ever done. It sounds like you have a hard time somedays deciding which workout to do. I can understand that. It's the main reason why I tend to follow Cathe's rotations--cuts down on the decisionmaking. And STS is not that hard. It sounds more confusing than it is. But it is important to do the one rep max exercises before you start. My sister redid her one rep maxes but I have not. I just try to bump up the weight amounts a little even if it's just by a pound.

Did disc 22: chest, shoulders and triceps. Walked on the beach with Rolly for about 30-40 min. Cool here today, but felt so good compared to the heat in Shelton and East of the Mountains.

Michelle, Great job on STS disc 1 and LM today. Good plan for using up those cardios in that way. Love the idea, it sounds intense.

Janie. Sounds like a great workout! I like doing a little cardio before weights cause it makes me feel (ready) for weights lol. So do u do weight first? I was thinking of going to Amazon and getting meso 1 for 50 dollars. Not sure yet. But really I have enough workouts. I also need to lose weight first.

Michelle wow ur rotation sunds hard intense! Have u seen a change lately at all. It seems u really got more intense right before RT .. just wondering can you tell and what rotation seemed to lean you out more?. You r so right! I get confused! I have days off so more time to devote to it on those day and I am like all over the place lol. I think I'm getting in weights and I look back and got only one heavey in that week. Not sure how I'm supose to do it.
I would love to pick a rotation but I end up not having most in that the rotation, or it looks all confusing like one I was gonna do. Had a part of one dvd a part of another and ect. I don't like that yet. Im realitivly New to Cathe and that can be overwhelming!
I like to look at a clean rotation that workouts are as is. Easy to read crisp clean on paper. If I do an add on it will be a yoga or extra jog or walk. So Any suggestions guys on a rotation like that that focuses on losing pounds?

Yesterday I did a jog! Only 2.7 and I was slow but I loved being outside again! I loved feeling the deep breathing yet not breathless. I love steady state like that. I wish I can find a step aerobics like this. I think low impact step...the one cathe wares red shirt is a close one but id like to have another choice besides that one. I like step moves that was more like a jog feel tk it but it killed my feet! I wouldn't imagine why. I do more jumping in ttm then step moves.
I'm rampling arnt I? Sorry I seem to have a lot to say today. Lol.

He was in reg army over 15 yrs ago! He was in for 15 yrs to. But he wanted to get back in after I went in. I got out and he got in. Had to take lowerr rank then b4. But he doesn't care he used to love Military. Now he says he is oldest one there he thinks..lol they call him father time haha ha .. he wanted back in so he can have retirement and if he passes id b taken care of by military retirement and his civilian retirement as well. He is 53 so I think he is making a sacrifice I so appreciate yet I feel unnecessary because I wamt to spend time with him. He has 3 jobs or 4 if u count tile jobs here and there. He is a workaholic . I do respect his decision to join. I tell u when I went in at 38 I had a whole new respect for DH because I didn't like it. Id been ok but the younger ones drive you nuts. They did mads punishment so wed be up at 2 am doing pushups for punishment because someone was caught messing with the male soldiers lol. It was 9 wks for goodness sakes. They can't not have sex that long. Wow lol. I told them girls they are killing my joints ...other then that those young kids ended up doing better and actually wanted to talk to me a lot. I tjink they missed there mom. I was that mother figure for a while. Even if I did make them laugh a lot. Humor is the best medicine at anytime! Have great day ladies

Monday was a rest day and today Joey and I did a short bike ride. Then when we got home Rolly and I headed out to the beach to do sprinting intervals. It was great.

ReneeP, Great job on the 2.7 jog. If it feels good then do it. Kinda feeling sorry for myself. lately, things are just not balanced here in la la land.

Walked the beach with Rolly for about 45-60 min. Didn't feel like a workout today. I mean I fought with myself so decided not to. I must need another day of rest. Finding all kinds of ways to make probiotics and will incorporate them in my diet ASAP. From what I'm gathering on the internet, it is crusial to have them. It's like fresh fruits and vegis are an absolute way of eating and cleansing our bodies and probiotics are feeding and nourishing. Makes since from all that I've read so far. Sauerkraut, yogurt, kifer, miso, temph, pickles, kimchi, and buttermilk. All fermented foods and drinks that will give you thousands and thousands of probiotics in my diet. I'm making sauerkraut using purple cabbage. It's been doing it's thing for 3 days, tomorrow I'll taste it. Ymmmmmmm.

Wow! Tell me more about this! You know my mom always said. She craved pickles or sauerkraut and it helped her belly! I didn't see how. But wow she was right" :))
I think maybe all this tragedy going on with ur sister and nephew is vary draining. And it is ok to feel sorry for your self. Not to long! But I think it is natural at first.
Know I'm thinking of u and I know how it is to feel that way. I'm sending hugs ur way.
I did push pull on Tuesday wed was ttm my eating sucks. I'm eating to much after I go to bed. It is tom don't know if that's it but. I hate it don't know why I keep sabotaging my efforts! Like when I go to sleep all consciousness goes away.

Interval sprinting today for longer than ever before. Was on the beach an hour and a half, (not all interval sprinting) and lots of walking with Rolly. The Kraut is not ready yet, maybe in other couple of weeks I think. I'll keep checking though.

ReneeP, Great job on P&P Tues. and TTM on Wedn. I know when I eat food that is processed I get like that. Are you eating processed foods? If so, try to stop ASAP. Then you'll be your self again. Probiotics are suppose to be one of thee most important stuff we can eat to make our bodies nourished. Good for so many ailments, Arthritis, weight loss, thinking more clearly, curbs the appetite, just a host of wonderful things for our bodies. Thank you for the support, makes me feel better.

I don't know what happened to me this week. I think I have not checked in since the beginning of the week.:eek: Monday I woke up and just felt icky, so I crawled back in the bed after walking and feeding Ripken and just slept. Made a huge difference. No exercise Monday. Tuesday morning I did STS disc 2 then went to the funeral for Ben, the young man who died in the mountain climbing accident in Peru last month. That was sad and kind of put a damper on the whole day. Wednesday, I had an early morning, no exercise.:( Thursday, back on track--did Slide and Glide premix of cardio plus abs. Friday was STS disc 3 and today is STS disc 4, trying to get back on schedule. Cleaned out the closet in my guest bedroom this morning. Have a box of stuff to go to Goodwill. Might work on my office closet this afternoon.

ReneeP: I can't believe that you joined the Army at the age of 38. UGH! I bet bootcamp was a bit of a trip having to put up with mostly teenagers. Crazy stuff. But good for you, that you did that. And good for you husband too!

Janie: when you do interval sprints on the beach, do you wear sneakers or do you run in your bare feet? Just wondering. I know some folks like to run in their bare feet on the sand. Running is not my thing--and Cathe made us run this year at the roadtrip--3 times around the track--super UGH! I was so happy when she pointed at me to come off the track and back to the gym--YEAH! For some reason, sister had to go around 4 times. Lucky her.

Okay ladies, typing away on the computer is not helping get disc 4 done, so off I go.

Beautiful weather in the mid-Atlantic today. Today was a cardio day; did Intensity. Oh boy, that is a toughie, but a good one. I think crossfire and to the max have helped with these tougher Cardios. I can almost get through all the plié squats in the HITT section. Hope everyone is having a great Sunday!

I did nothing yesterday. I was lazy so I took a rest day. Today was bootcamp hard for me because I didn't feel Like exercise today either but did what I could. I know I could have done better.
Michelle congrates on intensity that one is a tuffie You did good ! You have been busy.
Jane hope u r doing better.
 
Today was a sprint day and the sprint intervals are the same as the last time. This has been the only time I got DOM's. Only in my quads though. Hmmmm. They hurt so good!LOL

Michelle, You must have needed some rest. Good to see you taking care of that. Great job on STS disc 2 and on Thurs. S&G prem of cardio and abs and Friday disc 3 and disc 4. Sounds to me that you are back on track. Good for you. When I do the sprints I wear sneakers. Wow, I'm surprised you had to run around the track when at the RT. Glad you went back to the gym. Your poor sissy.:( Great job on today's cardio Intensity. Yep, one of the toughest cardio I have done of Cathe's.

ReneeP, You must have needed a break, hope you enjoyed your rest day. Great job on BC. Well, the main thing is to keep up the consistency of working out. You did good.

Caught up on posts earlier this morning after my yoga class....but it wouldn't let me reply on my mobile device!

Been busy with kids godparents in town but did get one STS workout in over the weekend. I feel guilty exercising while I have company but I just need to say it's a priority and I need to do it! I am finally on the last week of Meso Cycle 2!!!:eek::eek::eek:

Have to run go teach but I did catch up on personals earlier! I got a flat tire on the way to the Rec tonight and just had a friend pick me up and drop me off here at work so I ran out of time to post....UGH:mad::mad::mad::(:(:(:(
 
Wow! You are having a time!! Sorry about flat tire. I also hate to exercise when I. Have company but I do it and. Whole timee I keep thinking they think I'm so rude! Except I do habe one sister iff she coomes in I like it because she is a runner and we run together.

Well I did yoga relax to get rid of headache it actually work then I did cardiip suppersets plus step. Well shortly, after I got A haedache agaiin.. I wass suppose to taake neice shopping, for cloths for my sister who lives iin diff state. Well. We went now were eating. Lol I picked a healthful meal at applebees. I tried on some stuff...hate those mirrors still! Lol
 
Did disc 25, back and chest. I typed up a beautiful post, but Lost it. Gosh Darn it! I'm making it short this time, it's getting too late.

Laura, Great job on STS workout. I workout when company are around too. It is priority.

Speed walked the beach with Rolly today. Not very long (about 15 min.), that quad is very sore. My fault for not stretching it before and after sprinting. Will remember for the next time.

Janie how have you been holding up? I know you're quads are. Bothering u.I hope thaat is just soreness and not a pulled muscle. I only did yoga today I woke with a bad headache. I'm just now finished with ttotm so I think its juust hormones leveling back out? Or it could b sinuses because I noticed trying? To breathe through the postures proved difficult at first it cleared up towards the end of my practice. So myy headache started disapating att that point! Nice! So it could even b tension as well. Mix of things I think.
Well I am scheduled for cf tomorrow haven't done it in two weeks. Id been doing ttm. I think starting sept 2 I'm going to try cathe intermediate rotation to see if. Ill get some energy back. I feel as if I am fatigued again. So I may see if I needed to take it back a few.
 
Joey put a memory card in and I can now show off some of my photos of what I've been doing. Later I will workout and post that as well.

This is the sauerkraut I made. Thought I better post it now or there will be none left. LOL. There is only two quarts left.
