Getting Our Licks In!

Forgot to post yesterday. Too busy watching baseball. The Nationals had a double-header, so I was doing stuff around the games and walking Ripken in between rain showers. Not complaining about the rain all weekend; we need it. Did STS disc 26, plyo legs, and STS ab circuits with no equipment yesterday. Today will be Crossfire. I hope my legs hold up. Of course, that's what I was thinking yesterday, after doing TTM on Friday. I'm also going to try the bonus core workout on Crossfire today. Right after I finish checking in.

Laura: well, I think we have a quorum on feelings about summer colds. They are just plain horrible. I can understand a cold in the winter, but in the summer, just doesn't seem right. Hope you are feeling better soon. And I cannot remember: are you working through STS? Which mesocycle are you on?

Janie: great job on STS. Did you ever hear from Cathe after you sent her the earrings and necklace for her birthday?

ReneeP: I've never tried Asics. I've been wearing Rykas for exercise for about 4 years basically because I cannot find Avias anymore. The Avias have always been my favorite but they are hard to find, even on the internet. The Rykas are very close to Avia in terms of support and cushion. In fact, I will probably wear my Avias today for Crossfire. It's great that your DH is doing the Cathe weight workouts with you. Sorry to hear that the headaches are plaguing you again. Maybe they are related to changes in the weather? We've gone from super hot to this cold dreary stuff the past few days--maybe the headaches are connected to different weather fronts?

Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Yesterday was two long walks on the beach. The last one I took photos of various objects for their patterns to make original zentangles (doodles). Will be doing it again once our sun comes out. Today is a rest day.

ReneeP, I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well. When it rains it pours. (hugs to you.) Good job on the yoga. What book are you reading?

Janie: great job on STS. Did you ever hear from Cathe after you sent her the earrings and necklace for her birthday?

Michelle, Great job on STS disc 26 plyo legs, and ab circuits with no equipment. How was CF and abs? Haven't heard anything from Cathe, at least by email, and I'm not at home to see if she sent a note my way. It would have been nice but that's OK if she doesn't. I sent them to her because I was so grateful for her changing my life as a person with GERD that was in pain to a healthy and stronger person who is happy and not in pain. Wished I could have done more. Can only Hope she personally got them though.

Joey and I will be going for the first time to a play here at the high school. I'll be wearing my size 5-6 "Little Black Dress". I'm so proud!

Have a good day everyone,

Janie

Did Crossfire and Crossfire core bonus today. The core work was about 9 minutes long but it goes pretty fast. We'll see how my abs feel tomorrow. We'll also see how my legs feel after To The Max on Friday, plyo legs on Saturday, and Crossfire today. These new workouts get you good.

Okay--time to walk the puppy soon.

Hi guys! Yesterday we got to meet on time yesterday! Goodness talk about organized chaos! Girls got right in and did their best! :). I wasn't even on planning on making them compete this year as we started more than 1/2 way through the season so I was surprised when they said they would! It was in the Triple digits and no shade so not so fun for the parents. The meets last 4 hours and there are 100's of people. I was hot tired and still not feeling great but made myself do 4DS KB, I did it half heatedly but still did it. The Gris and I went to see Brave at local theater which was a great mother daughter movie (Bo is in Aspen this weekend with old college buddies). I had clients at my house today but didn't workout myself because still not 100% and I am subbing two extra classes this coming week.

Michelle wow I like the sound of your rotation!is it the July one? Yes working on STS Meso cycle 2 still about half way brought..... Clearly taking my sweet time! It's been raining here which with the fires we desperately needed!

Janie I love your creative side! I bet we would have fun together. Walking on the beach, taking photos and drawing sounds like heaven I must confess!

Renee I am sorry about the headaches! That is no fun! My daughter gets them and she is devastated by them. How did you get your DH to join you in working out?

Hello ladies I did high step challenge today. I love that one!
Well ii don't know how I goot hin to do it. But he knows I have a smile on my face everytime I do the workouts. Some days even, if I'm limpy I still do something. He mentioned one day he. Wanted to be not just my man but a man I can be proud of! I thought that was so sweet. I told him I am proud of him but I worry about are health. I know he likes his beer and he smokes! I quite that smoking since September. I told him I cannot live my life without him and I am afraid if I did havee to. So he said he is gonna try. I don't know how long that will last. He didn't exercise today. He was to sore.
We have a bowflex to he was gonna use it but I askeed him to try MM and he said as long as the boys don't know lmbo! He is such a macho man lol. He did say gawd its like she (cathe)can tell what your doing! Lol.. she said something on cycle max dont stop here give me something lol. Yep that's y I love her workouts dear!

Laura I hope you are feeling better with All that you have to do. You must be so fit. I wouldn't be able to do all you do.

Michelle nice work! Give ripken a hug for me. I'm Glad he has you. I'm getting Excited for Rt for you!

Janie wow can we see pics? What do you not do. You are so talented.
You all sound blessed with wonderful gifftss and talent! Ii have not found a talent for anything.

Went to the play (musical) called Legally Blond. It was not a high school it was at the college. Great performance by these young people. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Michelle, Great job on CF and the core bonus. I bet your legs will feel DOM's with all the legwork you put in. Give Ripken a hug for me.

Laura, Sometimes things just happen with no plan. I'm glad the girls competed and did their best. So sorry about having to endure that heat. Hope you all had enough water to keep hydrated. The play "Brave" sounds wonderful. Hope you feel better soon. I know we would have a great time together exercising..., wish one day I could meet all of you. You never know, sometimes the world is a small place.

ReneeP, Great job on HSC today. I love that one too. Your DH is trying to move to a healthier place it seems, because of you I'm sure. I hope he continues on his healthy journey. He says the most wonderful things to you. So sweet. And you to him. So funny of his impression of Cathe. Seems we all think that way one time or another. LOL:) Would love to show you pictures of my doodles but my computer doesn't have a reader, so will have to wait until I get back to Shelton to show the pictures to you. I'm going back there pretty soon in a week or so, I'll keep the memory card and take it with me. I have an active mind and get bored very easily. I need outlets for my creativity so my hands are in a lot of different things. Just the way my brain is wired I think. I sometimes like to be more like my Joey, smart and witty. We all want more don't we? You do have something Renee. You make people feel good about themselves. I think that is a great skill and very special. And I'm blessed to get to know you more as time goes on.

Take care ladies,

Janie

Just trying to get through this week. Preparing (in terms of exercise) for this Cathe roadtrip has been tough. If Cathe's July rotation was aimed at getting us ready for this weekend, then I'm as ready as I will ever be. Got to get through To The Max tomorrow--did GS chest and triceps today. Needed a day away from the cardio--my lower body is really feeling these new workouts but I can feel a real difference in my aerobic/anaerobic endurance. Guess that's a good thing.

Got to run--posting between work stuff. Try to get back later.
Michelle

Back for another quick check-in. It got really cloudy and dark here, so I took Ripken for his walk before it maybe rains. I hope it rains. We could use a good shower every day. Anyway, the boy was feeling pretty good and it didn't seem as hot, so we went around our Circle (which is a quarter mile one time around) twice. Of course, now Rippy is huffing an puffing; but he is cooling off laying in front of his fan. In a few minutes I will make him his dinner.

Laura: were you at a swim meet with the girls this past weekend? It sounded like you might be but I'm not sure. Outside in the blazing sun in triple digit heat sounds like a dedicated mom to me. I am doing the July rotation, slightly modified. I'm on the third week and I started with TTM instead of CF so I just switch the sequence on those. It is a tough rotation. I'm going to ask Cathe if she put this rotation together trying to help us get ready for the roadtrip because I sure feel like I've been pushed extra hard.

ReneeP: High Step Challenge is a great workout. I'm just thankful Cathe didn't put any of the HS workouts in this month's rotation. Your DH is funny but I'm glad he is working out with you. He is going to discover that Cathe is no lightweight when it comes to exercising. Let us know what you get him to do next.

Janie: love walking on the beach. You sound like you really enjoy yourself. I love going to musical and plays but alas my DH is not so inclined, although he did enjoy CATS. Gosh--that was like 27 years ago!

Speaking of years. DH and I once again forgot our wedding anniversary. We've been married 20 years as of July 16. I don't know why, but we both always forget and then we are never sure if our anniversary is on the 15th or the 16th.
~michelle

Michelle that is so funny! I'm so happy we arnr the only couples that forget there anniversary! I know it is aug 1or 3 see my mom and step father got married in aug 1 and we got married on 3 two years later. Or reverse that. I have to look at certificate to be sure! I know its aug but whe. It gets here we usually forget til a few days after and we laugh a out it. Lol we just don't take stuff like that personal ...I thought I was the only female lol. I lov him and its important but just not gonna get spastic if he forgets because I do to. Not sure what that says about us but we are happy! I guess we know we're together forever and it is what it is. We do get a laugh about it.

Did disc 19, chest, shoulders and biceps. Also walked on the beach for an hour and did a very short Hiit (1 and half minutes). Started off with 58#'s for the chest press and ended up with 55#'s. Small improvement.

Michelle, Great job on GS chest and triceps. You are wise to listen to your body and save the cardio for another day. You are improving, congrats.:) Good job on walking Ripken. He has a fan all his own? How Sweet!

Joey and I always forget our Aniversary day. We think it's the 20th or 21st every time. Always have to look it up.:) No biggy.

Take care everyone,

Janie

I made it through To The Max this morning. Not sure how, but I got through the workout full out all the way. Now I get to look forward to Yoga Relax tomorrow. Ahhhh.

DH headed out this morning to CostCo to get new tires on his vehicle. He kept saying his appointment was at 10 am. So off he goes. Well, he just called; turns out his appointment in this afternoon at 2pm. Whoopsie. He feels majorly silly. I told him--no big deal. Even when we write stuff down on the calendar (which he did) sometimes we still get fixated on a different time. Don't know why that happens; it just does. So he is on his way back home and I will be leaving shortly for my yearly GYN checkup, the up the road to work. Ripken is in the front foyer sleeping. He was such a sweet boy this morning. He hung with me through the whole To The Max workout and joined me for the stretch. What a sweetie pie!

Hope everyone has a great day.

That is wonderful and exciting! So no modification? TTM is hard hard..I always have to go one riser less then Cathe and I don't jump as high all the way through that helps me to do hole thing. I can't imagine no modifications ! I'm already eating my heart with what I do. Id say Michelle ....you r ready for the RT! Congratulations! Lol.
yeah that's funny about ur DH! I do that a lot but that is normal for me.. I am an air head. Lol if you remember carol burrmett shows? That is my luck and how I am I have to laugh or id cry.

Not sure what I'm gonna do today after work. Ill bbl to let you guys know.

Rolly and I walked the beach for one hour and also did a 3 min. Hiit by Sprinting.

Michelle, Yeah! TTM is not easy. Good for you and with no modifications. That's is fantastic! Enjoy Yoga Relax tomorrow.

Your Poor Honey. I've done the same thing before. Embarrassing, but I think we all do it at times. It's OK. Good to hear you are keeping up with yearly check ups.

Take care ladies,

Janie

Hi y'all!

Monday was my normal 3 classes but I only 'did' one, the boot camp, & just instructed Pilates & yoga...

Tuesday I subbed the morning cardio burn class and the taught Pilates (again more teaching than doing! ). Than I took a vinyasa yoga flow class followed by a very yummy restorative yoga class... My upper mid back is pretty sore today! :-0

Today this morning I taught yoga and tonight I teach (&do). Weights...

Sounds like everyone is keeping on track with their exercises!

I can't believe all 3 of you forget your anniversaries! That's too funny! I never forget mine! :)

Michelle s the road trip this weekend?

Hi Laura I got a question ...I notice yoga has different names and of course there goals are different then. Where can I get that information? I have looked online and I get overwhelmed with information that I get lost. Id like the basics of what each tupe of yoga is called and what each are trying to accomplish. I hppe I'm explaining myself enough. You sound like you also are staying on track. That is so good! I thought you were going on Rt also. I don't know why I thought that.
I just did TTM firness tabata premix. Yhat is one with no compound legs. Dang it was harder! I then did a stretch workout.
I'm making potatoe soup now for family. I'm having salad and chicken.

First--let me correct myself--I use two risers on To The Max and move to 3 risers on the compound leg exercises. So, I guess technically using two risers is a mod. Don't know if I'd every try three risers on the HIIT section. Today was Yoga Relax and tomorrow will either be a light cardio/circuit or a total break day.

Laura: yes, the roadtrip is this weekend. :) Sister will drive up to my house some time tomorrow and we will head for Glassboro, NJ Friday morning. Leaving my house NLT 9 am.

~michellel

Yesterday my back hurt me so I will be doing legs today. I did walk an hour on the beach though. Also I've closed my website down. Just not enough interest.

Laura, Great job on your bootcamp class and instructed Pilates and yoga classes. How was the vinyasa yoga flow class?

Michelle, Using two risers is so awesome anyway and three on the compound leg exercises. You are doing so well. Great job on Yoga Relax today.

Have a good one everyone,

Janie

Janie I hope ur back gets better soon! I wonder what happened?

Michelle and renee! ....ARE YOU READY! Lol have fun! You resting today?

Laura hope all is well with you and you arnt Waring ur self out today!

Not sure what to do today maybe KCM muscle def workout two when I get home. I did TTM fitness tabata the 52 min premix wow that seemed as hard as the reg one! Confused on that! Lol. I guess the tabata is harder then the compound legs ..

Will be leaving tomorrow morning to visit with family East of the mountains. Won't be back until Tuesday night. Talk then and enjoy your workouts.

ReneeP, My back is better but still won't exercise until I get back home. That should do it. LOL:) Great job on TTM fitness tabata prem. Did you do KCM?

Have a good one everyone,

Janie
