Getting Our Licks In!

Janie i fogot to say yes i also used one less riser lol, also i used pink bands not blue, I couldnt find the green ones or what ever was in btw those.
Great job yourself on the workouts!
I think Cathe will love the earings and necklace !! I did i know she will appriciate it as well.

Michelle hope you are doing well.

Oh forvot to add it is supose tp be 108 today. Michelle I hope up stay cool. I got under are sprinkler after I mowed the grass. Refreshing! Cant wait to hear how Rt is going to be! Excited for u!

One day after Crossfire and I've got Total Body Trisets lower on the rotation. Ugh! I did it--not sure how, but I am sure my legs will feel totally fried tomorrow. Also did STS ab circuits weights and plates. Been a while since I did that one. I see some improvement--the ab plate work is super tough after the first 10 minutes of abs with weights. Hardest plate work for me are those pike slides on an angle. Nothing wanted to move--LOL!

Hi 5s to both Janie and Renee for doing To The Max. I absolutely had to modify. Went one riser lower and only used 3 and 5 pound weights and I used my green band. Also did some of the exercises low impact. So, we all have some work to do, but that's what it's all about.

Janie: very sweet of you to send Cathe a birthday present. I am sure that she will love the earrings and necklace.

ReneeP: glad to hear that you made it through To The Max without any feet problem. Its the day after those workouts that my feet hurt. Hope you do not experience the same.

We are getting some thunder rumbles and my pup is doing his worried huff-n-puff. He is not a big fan of thunder. Guess I will have a retriever in my lap in a few minutes. Hope everyone is doing well.

Today I did STS disc 13, chest, shoulders and triceps. It's really nice to get to do weight training again. Bench Presses were 68#'s, fly's were 20#'s,Seated Front Press and lateral raises were 8#'s. All the triceps exercises were 8#'s. The only exercise I improved on was the Flat and Incline Bench Presses by 3 pounds. Not too shabby.:)

ReneeP, I think we all are good in modifying. Those are challenging new workouts for sure. You guys are sure enduring a lot of very hot weather. I don't envy you at all!:(

Michelle, Great job on TB triset lower on the rotation and STS ab circuits weights and plates. Haven't done that one yet, hmmmm. Sounds very difficult! You are really doing such good work. Hope you get some lower temperatures very soon.

Take care,

Janie

Okay you to. That one is a good one as well! I think today after work ill jump on bike.

Michelle i hope all is well and you stay cool. It is 7:30 and already feel clammy! Yuk lol.
Hope you all have a great day.

Tonight was disc 14 legs. 50# barbell for dead lifts. When we used dumb bells it was 30#'s in ea. hand. For the other exercises, I didn't go down as low as the crew, but I held my own and used 20-30#'s depending on the exercises. As I progressed through the workout I found myself using 20's. Had to listen to my body. Sweaty I was and jello I am. LOL:) Rolly and I took a 30 min. walk this afternoon in the forest. We now are at the BH. Will run on the beach tomorrow if weather permits. Looks a little foggy tonight with a very fine mist. Temperature around 68-70 degrees.

ReneeP, Were you able to jump on your bike today?

Have a good one everyone,

Janie

Great job on the weights Jane.. that is awesome and of course smart to be able to listen to your body. It is an art i think to know when to do that. I mean i will push so hard because i think at times if i push it will go away and i end up messing up lol. That is something im learning to do.. If i plan on keeping on keeping on.

No i didnt get on bike yesterdsay I did get this.............."crossfire" whoo hoo I actualy did the whole thing. I modified of course i used green bands not blue I did some jumping on most but alot of time i just did lower impact version if i coudl remeber how. I think michelle or some one mentioned it could be the running casueing the foot to flare and i guess i didnt want to beleive it i love to run. But i am thinking she may be right, not sure if it was her or not. But i thought it was jumping and step becasue as im running i feel no pain. I think it is the next day i do but after i did to the max sunday i took rest day mon no pain then i did tues crossfire no pain well sorry there is pain in morning still, but not like it was and not all day long to where i can not even walk. If that makes since. We will see. Today im not sure what to do yet im thinking a circuit so i can get some weights in on my arms and hopfully do a leg workout later on in the week. I think crossfire seems like a good workout on the legs as well. I cannot do heavey lifting on legs because of balance issues so im thinking afterburn adn crossfire and to the max are good to do in addition to i like legs and glutes because i can do leg presses " confused" with no balance issues. I love the ankle weights section and floor work. well talk to you later. Glad to see some activity n the thread i was wondering what happened to everyone. Hope you have a blessed day.

Hi everyone. Forgot to check in yesterday.

Monday, I took a break from exercise. My legs were fried after Crossfire and LIS lower body over the weekend. Yesterday, I did To The Max again. This time I used two risers all the way through the workout. I'm actually thinking I could grow to love this workout. Today was High Reps. Just got done. Trying to follow Cathe's July rotation. Oh yeah, and I'm off the rest of the week. Sweet. We were going to head over to the boat today but our mechanic is doing some work on the boat today, so we will go over tomorrow. Might run into town and do some window shopping, just for fun. Or I might just lounge outside and read a book. Maybe both after I get cleaned up and eat some lunch.

Janie: you are so impressive with your weight amounts. Can't believe you did AS again. Didn't you just do that a week or two ago? BTW, our hot weather finally broke Sunday night. Much more reasonable now--in the 80s.

ReneeP: Huh--maybe it is the running that is doing in your feet. When you run, do you run outside or on a treadmill? If outside, maybe the hard roadsurface is just too much for your feet. Way to go on doing Crossfire. Hard but fun, isn't it?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Quick Pop in to say hi and see how everyone is doing on their summer fitness!

Monday I had all 3 classes.
Tuesday my pilates class was cancelled as the Rec Center was under repair for damage due to a lightening strike over the weekend. So I go a nice quick hike up to Lost Lake. It is short and sweet but I got caught in a huge rain storm on the way down.oooohhhh well I guess that is part of it sometimes. I went to rec in the evening and did STS and a short run on treadmill.

Last night Misty had a bad tummy so she had to stay outside where she barkde all night long with out a break so I had a miserable night of no sleep and lots of stress hormones pumping in my body due to the barking!:(:confused: So it was hard to wake up to teach a 6:30 am yoga class!!! But I did...

Tonight is total tone and that will be it for the day!

Michelle enjoy the boat! that sounds like a tough rotation!!

Today I did STS Athletic step which completely kicked my booty! That one is so tough

Tonight went to a cute little town called Niwot for their free band series Rock on the Raila with my mom and the kids! It was. Fun Motet band? It's free every Thursday so think I will do that again next week?

Hope everyone's doing good and enjoying their summer

Great job on AT! I read itt made u sick. You. Did push yourself..
That sounds like fun.. listening to a band! Yes do it again! I wish they had stuff like that here. And free? Nice!

I did lowmax thinking it would be a light onee.. well not good day after cycle max! I forgot those leg blast. What was I thinking. Foot little sore tonight. But I think a light walk or light bikeing might give it a rest.. or a basic step. We will see tomorrow ..
Night everyone!

Today was 1 hour and 45 min., Rolly and I walking on the Beach. Tonight was Yoga based abs, and disc 15 back and biceps. On the barbell rows and deadlifts did 55#'s. I'm a little scared of these and always keep them lighter than I can do. The heaviest bicep were the barbell curl at 30#'s the rest was good too. I think a very good workout. Sweaty, whew!

ReneeP, Congrats for doing the whole CrossFire. That one for me is on this Sat. Modification is my middle name. Good for you. Your Foot: I just think you didn't give it a rest like your doctor told you to do for 4-6 weeks. I think you may have made it a couple of weeks. Either that or I'm lost on my weeks, as that happens to me all the time. Just want you to heal.

Michelle, So glad the weather is being kinder to you. I'm so glad you took a rest, your body must have needed it after doing Crossfire and LIS Lower Body. Great job on yesterday's To The Max. Hey using two risers is very impressive. Yea! Also great job on today's High Reps. It sounds like this rotation does wonders for you. You are doing such a amazing job. Enjoy the rest of the day what ever you decide to you. All sounds good. Our weather at the beach is around 65 degrees, maybe. Good for walking on the beach. Enjoy the boat when you go over tomorrow.

Laura, Nice to see ya. 3 classes, wow. Great job on hike up to Lost Lake. I've heard of that lake before. Must have been from you. So sorry you got caught in the rain storm. I know one day I'll be caught in it at the Beach. Also great job on STS short run on treadmill. Get some sleep. Great job on today's AS. Yep, it does that to me too. LOL:D I modify of course. It's alway fun to be with family, enjoy. Niwot sounds interesting.

ReneeP, Great job on LM. Enjoy your evening.

Janie

Janie that sounds so lovely walking on the beach! What a nice loong walk! You may be right not qite 4 weeks I think it was 3 ... I am modifing everything. Today was yoga max after low imppact step.. the one she has her red shirt. It iss easygoing. Nezzt few days is gonna be spin. But it may not b cycle max because that one seems ur standing on peddle a lot. And mmy back doesn't hurt until I sit!

Laura you need to live. By me I would love to take ur classes. How u keep up. Is surprising to me. Wtg. I'm actually getting tto love yoga. I hace a big mirrors In workout room from yrs ago. Well lets just say since I've gained a lot of weight back I can't stand SEEING myself do yoga lol looks very funny. So I turn around. But it sure feels nice I am gaining flexabilty back. Being able to bend over legs regardless of my tummy makes me feel better. Ha ha.
Michelle good job on high reps man that really burns! I did upper body premix this week and it stung and I even kept the weight a lot lower.
Have a great day guys. Thanks for being here. You all seem so smart with fitness. Hope everyone is eating well. That is the hard one for me. Hence the tummy I supose! Lol I wish I can go live with Cathe a while and eat what she eats and do classes when she does! Id lose then! Fun dream

I did CrossFire tonight. Whew! I loved this one a lot. It seems to me that you can make it easy or hard on yourself, it's up to me. To The Max, had exercises that you had to do and couldn't make it easy what so ever. These are both amazing workouts and I'm glad I have them. Will incorporate as both as often as I can.

ReneeP, Great job on Yoga Max and low Impact Step.

Take care everyone,

Janie

Thanks Janie. Congratulations on cross fire! I agree it can be made harder according to how u make it. I love these.
I did cardo and weights went well I actually burned 495 calories ! Whoot whoop lol.
