Janie happy anniversary! I thought I said it but when I rechecked I didn't! Eek I'm so sorry..I did feel and meant to say it.

Its ok maybe since chocolate and cheese cake is very seldom done..ur tummy can handle it but if u did it more then that then it would act up. I guess that is where the moderation comes in. Lol I love cheese cake by the way!

Good luck on 4 ds I hope u have ffun! I am trying to figure out what to do today. A lite shuffle jog. Or a circuit. I just got keli Roberts old vhs fro.m Amazon. I hope it isn't a yawn fest. Lol I like it when cher is in there but there's only so many times I can do that one. I have her other one called ultimate step it is kinda boringg so thought id try circuit maybe it wont be to boring. Or I may do Cathe low impact step. The one with her red shirt on. I think that one is fun but I wish the music was like step jump and pump. Wow I'm blabbing arnt it. Lol.
Went shopping for cook out. Gonna have hot dogs hamburger drinks chips. For entertainment the ggood old radio or cd's and corn hole volyball.. horseshoes .. badminton ... hope ill get a jog on tomorrow. Iill probably be cooking n cleaning ..:( lol.
 
Well, I brought weights to the beach house. They are for the bar bell and weights you put together and it's not working out at all.:mad: It's a good thing I'm going home on Mon. and Tues. for appts. (will see doctor about my itching and cholesterol test) and shopping because I can bring the good ones (to the BH)all intact that you don't have to put together. That means no weight exercise for me until I get back, but I will do cardio. I guess I need the active recovery anyway. I just didn't plan it like that. Oh well. Tonight was no workout. I don't know why.:confused: I need to get back on track, darn it! No matter what, tomorrow has to be a cardio workout or even two.

ReneeP, Thank you for the Anniversary wish. That's so sweet. Whatever workout you did tonight I'm sure was fine. Sounds like a wonderful and fun weekend. Enjoy.

Hi everyone. A quick checkin before we head over to the boat. I've missed a few days, so first the exercise: Thursday was MMA Kickbox, yesterday was GS back, shoulders, and biceps, and this morning was Athletic Training. I will get my rest day in tomorrow.

ReneeP: drop set push-ups: you start with a set of 16 pushups, then you get a few seconds break, then you do a set of 14 pushups, then a little break, then 12 pushups, ets. You drop down 2 reps for each set, down to the last set of 2. They are hard work and the first exercise on GS chest and triceps. Fun stuff. The Gym Style workouts are great. I'm still feeling DOMS from the chest work on Wednesday. Enjoy the barbecue this weekend. Sounds like you have everything planned and will be ready to roll.

Janie: happy anniversary a day late. Sometimes you just fall off the applecart and splurge--I think it is okay to do every once in a while. Hope you have fun with 4DS. Do you do that for a month or for 2 weeks?

Last night was our anniversary and we ate the cheesecake. I eliminated the sauce. It didn't taste that good anyway. However, had a hard time exercising. Couldn't concentrate on form. Gave it up I was so frustrated. Will be doing HiTT 30/30 tonight and can't wait! Will post it when I'm done.

Michelle, Great job on MMA Kickbox and yesterday's GS back, shoulders, and biceps and this mornings AT. I had one more week of 4DS to do, then the weight problem that I can't solve until I get back to Shelton to bring some over. In the mean time an active recovery in place for the last week of 4DS. When I get back I'm thinking about doing the next phase of Cathe's rotation she recommended for me. The Shock Cardio Series for two weeks.

I think I might have gained. I'll know when I get back how badly I messed up.

Janie i really would like. To lnow how u do HITT it looks pretty higgh impact. It sounds like ur anniversary went well.

Yesterday I tried circuiit wwith keli Roberts she. Used a band for the
toning dag on that was a yawn fest! I did 33 minutes and stopped ii even used more risers then I. Normal do. So I did a 3 mile joogg. Wasnt to bad. I don't feel a lot of impaact jogging ii gues cause I'm slow. Lol I did 3 miles in 33 minutes.. I wish this weight would jog off. Lol. Today we r still doing a cook out. Its goinng well I'm tired lol. I willl do some kind of exercise not sure what. Til everyone leaves
Ill get back to let u gguys know what I decided. I hope I can do a Cathe one. My foot was Bad this Morning but it eased up. Back is stiff feeling gawd I hope I feel normal soon. Maybe I need to do nothing today aand tomorrow to see if I feel anny better that way. I hate not doing annything because? I feel lazy and fat. Confused.
 
Instead of doing 30/30 as planned I took advantage of our beautiful weather from rain all day to a fantastic sunny evening. Took two 45 min. speed walks on the beach. It was so lovely!

ReneeP, I love the high impact of the Hitt DVD's. Every time I do one of them I know my bones are getting stronger for it. I simply need that in my life. Great job on Keli Roberts (sounds boring for you) and the 3 mile jog in 33 min. There is no way I can do that.

No exercise yesterday, or today. Up all night. My foot on other siide was hurting as well. I'm hoping I. Have pinched nerve because anything else I'm thinking is wrong with me is scarey. I am going to my regular doctor on wed. I. Just been afraid of what it may b wrong. It isn't right the Way I'm feeling.

Last week of Cathe's June rotation: started with Kick, Punch, and Crunch this morning. I'm feeling pretty rested from the weekend so I was feeling good with this workout this morning. Even got through all those roll-ins and pikes on the ball at the end. Yeah!

ReneeP: I hate to say this, but gosh, you sound like you are falling apart. I am sure you are wondering what the heck is going on? I hope your doctor has answers for you. One thing that has occurred to me: when my feet start hurting alot it is a sure sign that I need to workout shoes. How old are your workout shoes/running shoes? Might you be due for some new shoes? I know this sounds simplistic but sometimes it's the little things that create those nagging pains.

Janie: is Rolly able to do the speed walks with you? And do you wear shoes when you speed walk on the beach or do you go barefoot? Just wondering. My little Rippy definitely is not up for speed walking these days, we just go at a happy dog pace for him, stopping to allow for good sniffs along the way.

I have HITT 30/30 on the rotation again this week with TurboBarre. Not sure I will get both done because I am on travel to California Wednesday through Friday. I'm thinking I might do yoga while on travel although I will have TurboBarre with me on my iphone. Just have to see how I feel. Might be nice to just do yoga for a few days. Good for the mind and the soul.

Michelle ..its not shoes I bought new ones a month ago... because of my feet I have. Running, shoes brookes and asics gel upshots for my cathe workouts.
Its okay I feel like I'm. Falling apart. It scares me. My mothher had RA so I'm petrified at what's wrong with me. I've always been so activve. Even 4 yrs ago at 38 I did basic training iin army.. the only female to pass my PT test n my platoon the first test! And that was with girls that was 18 or 20. So I know it isn't in my head orr that I'm lazy. I have always stayed physical. Even my jobs were physical at least in the way I qas off. My butt. Waitress then medical assistant and dental assistant working for thrree doc at a time.
Now I am front desk on mmy butt I hate that. And I do feel like I'm falling apart.
I want to b normal again..
 
A walk in the forest with my little doggy and did 30/30 today. I'm a wonderful sweaty mess. Now to lose those couple of pounds and begin again where I left off.

ReneeP, I hope you don't have RA as well. I'm glad you are going to see your doctor and once and for all figure out what it is that you have.

Michelle, Great job on KP&C this morning. Can't believe how you can do those darn PIKES! That's wonderful. Any tips for us that you can share? Rolly loves speed walking. He really goes along very well, it's me most of the time that needs to keep up with him. LOL ;) He's my inspiration to keep going that speed. I use tennis shoes, best for me. In the forest we Rolly and I don't speed walk, with all the little stones and rocks in the way we might slide and fall. So he gets plenty of sniffs along the way with our forest walks. Yoga does sound like a great alternative while traveling.

We are having a wonderful reprieve from heat and humidity for a few days. Ripken and I took a medium walk this morning and then I did Total Body Trisets upper body. Slowly working on 15 pound barbell curls. Eeked out the first set of concentration curls using 15 pounders. Tomorrow I'm on travel to CA--hope I can get yoga in after we get to Oceanside. Will try to check in while I am on the west coast. Flying back on Friday.

Janie: Doing pikes: I really concentrate on pulling/tighting my core UP. When I first started working on the inverted pikes on the ball, I just pulled up into a pike as much as I could. Probably looked more like a banana, but overtime my pike has gotten more v-like versus not. It's kind of like trying to do the sitting levitations--just trying helps to build the muscle.

ReneeP: it sounds like you were/are in the Army. Is that correct? That's a pretty nifty experience. And so much for the shoe idea. Back to hoping you are just experience some small annoying aches vice anything serious. Please keep us apprised of what you learn.

So--did ya'll check out the video clips for CrossFire and To The Max? WOW! They look like super tough workouts. I'm looking forward to the challenge. Don't know if I have received a shipping notification yet or not. I'm guessing Cathe will be trying out some parts of her new workouts on us at the roadtrip. As Cedie would say: uh oh....

I'm a creature of habit. I say this because I went for my cholesterol test today and I was suppose to fast and then can eat after the blood test. Which I did. Been dizzy ever since. I tried to do MMA:F but couldn't keep up so while I watched Cathe and crew I spinned. Still got a terrific workout, but man talk about weak and dizzy for not eating? Geesh!

, So glad the weather is being nice to you all. Great job on walking with Ripken and then TBT upper body. Wonderful on the poundage. Hope your travels go well and are safe. I'll take your advise on the Pikes the next time I do them. I can't wait for the new workouts, it's so exciting.

Janie! Thankyou for the ear rings! How did u make them? I know u said paper but the pics and the actual ear ring and pendent does not lok like paper. I was wondering when u told me because when I saw the pics I thought it looked like beads or glass... so I thought well must be a new word for glass I've never been exposed to. Lol so was afraid to ask cause I didn't want to sound stupid but today I have to ask regardless hpw I sound. Is it really paper? And if so how! They are gorgeous. Thanks.
 
Goodness! I've missed y'all! Sorry to be such a slacker! June is always crazy between the last week of school, my birthday, father's day and our anniversary not to mention all the summer activities I can hardly catch my breath! I also subbed for two teachers 4 extra classes a week the first three weeks of June..... So my apologies. FB is easy for me to do from my phone so hopefully you've seen glimpses of me there....

I haven't done that much in addition to all the extra classes... I did do that one long hike, a bike ride, a few yoga classes I think, 1 STS DVD...

I am on the 8th day of my raw food cleanse so also taking it easy on exercise since I am not getting the protein and wanting to rest and recover....


Thanks for the birthday wishes! I gotta run go teach now but hope to catch up on posts!

Got to the Beach House and it's now official. We have flooring in all rooms. Yea, it's done! Now to put up curtains and pictures... Another first is that we had some friends (my life long child hood friend) and her husband for dinner, walked the beach and played a card game. It was a blast. Didn't do a workout tonight, but will catch up tomorrow. It's always nice to have tomorrow. We ate healthy food, all of us and no big portions.

ReneeP, So glad you like the earrings.:) I used a round toothpick on those to get that shape and cut the paper in such a way to also make that shape, put some Elmers glue on it to make it stick that way, place one coat of top coat on it, then a finish and water proof (kinda) coat. Then use the hardware/wire for jewelry and you got earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings... Yes, it's really paper, usually from magazines, old books, maps, The Funnies in the newspaper, paper sacks, wrapping paper...anything really, I even use money.

Laura, We missed you too. It's been lonely around here without you joining in. Life has a way of doing that though. No problem, your life is so full with family, friends, and work. :) FaceBook is wonderful to catch up on. Congrats on day 8 of the raw food cleanse. Rest and recovery is very important. "RIPKIN THE HUNK"!

Quick check-in, before starting the work day here in lovely southern California. Long day yesterday, no exercise. Will try to get in some yoga later today. Hope everyone is doing well.

Yesterday I did Hitt P and today was Step Moves and Yoga Abs. We put up all our curtains. They are so long that they heap on the floor and will cut and sew them until they just touch the floor. Looking pretty good. Photos will follow once I get back to Shelton. It won't be until the 5th of July. Will be there for a week. Have a play on the 8th then on the 9th back to the BH. Yea! Each place is home away from home. :) My cholesterol last year was 259, this year 211. But the ratio between my good and bad cholesterol last year was 3.8, this year 3.9. That's because my good cholesterol went down and not up. I'm so disappointed. I can't for the life of me figure out why?:mad:
