Hi Ya!
Did some Clean Max, so quite here at the house with out the kids and my mom… also did some clean food shopping and prep for the week!
I did Xtrain Cardio Legs today and it was a killer for sure. I wonder if I will be as sore as my last leg workout with my big bro in Nashville with at the YMCA? Those were insane DOMS, we are definitely competitive and I realized today when I was working out to Cathe on TV that I didn't go as low as I did with my big bro next to me and the giant mirrors and those last few degrees of flexion might make a BIG difference in results! Any thoughts on that from other DVD athletes? How much do we cheat? If you were in a class would you push harder than you do at home?
Well I feel like I fit in here with some snow today! I had to pick my mom up at the airport tonight and it snowed all day. Her flight was delayed an hour and than the door was jammed and would not open so four hours later we got home safely!
I decided today while working out that I have so many Cathe workouts that I haven't even done or only done once or twice, I confess I went on a buying spree about 4 years into finding Cathe and she keep coming out with more and more that there are a few DVDs that arrived that I never even did…plus I can tend to get into my workout routes so for the New Year I have decided to go back and do all of the Cathe DVDs that I have starting with Low Impact Series that came in my toughest and most inconsistent workout time in a long time with the divorce and all though I have done some of the DVD;s a lot there are several I have never done. Which includes After Burn, Cardio Sets, and Athletic Training. And from what I have read I am in for an @ss kicking on those
Michelle I don't think I have Cardio Fusion! But I am cutting myself off from any purchases until I have done every Cathe DVD I own (never done any of the High step which I have for example….Waste not want not right? I think it is wise to take a moment between our beloved 4 legged companions. A new one can heal and some times they mask the pain of our loss. It is important to grieve and then love again when the time is right. I would be most happy and honored to write you a reference. Although I never met Ripken I felt I knew him over the years, I could almost imagine his facial expressions on his daily walks, his eager loving licks after your workouts, him curled up at your feet when you worked at home. Clearly no dog was loved as much or loved back his owner as the two of you. Even virtually it has been an honor to know your friendship. It is the things that books are written about. Say the word and I am a witness to that!
Janey it sounds like you are getting back to your old self! I love your posts of you're amazing art, soap making, jewelry which I Have and wear proudly, adventures on the coast, the baking, the new music endeavors as all of those things are what are special and amazing about you. I mean really you make it hard to keep up with all your talents! But I know it means a lot to you and all though you never dwell or complain I imagine your injuries have taken the wind out of your sails and it is good to hear that the wind once again has your back!
Cindy: I so can relate to the I am so tired I wan to lay down and sleep for hours or I SHOULD GO WORKOUT and you really really don't' want to but I also can relate to those times for what ever reason we can dig deeper and go and do it HOW MUCH BETTER WE FEEL!!! Right? Congratulations for establishing that feedback loop for yourself. I get the struggle I face it every day..
Kathy: you are in for a chill I hear! Keep your skin covered! Living out west we know the price on our faces for the cold weather and sunny days that we face. An average 30 + women (outside athletic) in the west looks 10+ years her senior of an east coaster.. Elements take a toll and we should protect ourselves to enjoy… Your new DVD's sound delightful, tempting and alluring but I am cutting of all purchases DVD wise as I have WAY more than I use presently.
