cathe on ebay

Has anyone bought Cathe videos on ebay? i noticed that the two dvd's i want, imax 2 and slow and heavy, are both on ebay. When i click on them they both are from Discount DVD Store. Are they reputable?
 
Man I've been burnt twice on ebay. Two items that were so fake it wasn't even funny, pants and a dress. I never buy from e-bay unless I expect to get ripped off. It is a shame really because I know that there are some repretable sellers out there. When it comes to my Cathe DVD's I only buy from her site. You can also buy on FitTV.com and Amazon. There are some people on this site who have bought from ebay maybe they can chime in and give you their experiences. With ebay, it is always buyer beware for me. The only time I don't worry is when I'm buying fabric.
 
I haven't, but people have posted on here before about getting ripped off. People have also posted about getting scammed by storefronts with really good feedback. I think I'd be more hesitant to buy from a storefront than from someone who just wanted to sell a used copy. But, honestly I'd rather shell out the money to collage or this site for the peace of mind. You can always try the Video Fitness forums too. You might be able to trade with someone for something else you have.
 
advancedworkouts.com also goes by D & E Advanced Workouts on Amazon and i think that is her name on ebay as well. jen is a very good with customer service and she is very reasonable. if you order from her site now you will get things on sale as well as free shipping on orders over $20($50 for international). i don't know of others but hopefully others will have some names to drop for reputable ppl but i just love advancedworkouts and really do most of my business with her whether i order directly from the site or on amazon.

I have also gotten 'fakes' from eBay AND gotten ripped off once , all together.

But as far as Cathe videos, Advanced Workouts and also totalfitnessdvds were very good with excellent service and prices.

I have bought from Discount DVD and they were fine. But I'm using Advanced Workouts now. Better shipping rates. Also the girl who runs it was in Amy Bento's Slo Mo Strength, so makes me think she is not going to rip anyone off in the industry.

not to go off topic but she is also planned to be in two of upcoming workouts of amy's to be filmed this fall. i got all my amy's and half my cathe's through her,just superior. plus one time there was a shipping issue and she helped me through it even though there wasn't much she could do(paypal and mailman's fault). she was just very supportive. as you said she has better shipping rates. this $20 free shipping is very recent(must be for the sale) but she always offered free shipping on bigger orders.

I LOVE Advanced Workouts! I got burned buying a dvd through Ebay, toally fake and didn't work. When they are really inexpensive AND new, they are rip-offs. I will never buy from Ebay, unless possibly its someone selling from their personal stock and they can prove without a doubt they bought from either Cathe or Advanced Workouts, etc., that are reputable.

After that, I bought the other 10 from Advanced Workouts, customer service is very very good!
 
Another vote for Jen at Advanced Workouts. It is actually cheaper to get from her than that Discount DVDs place on ebay. I looked up their prices when I saw this thread. If you are getting a few, email her and see if she will give you a discount. I bought a ton of DVDs from her and she worked with me.
 
I"ve been eBayer for many, many, many years. NEVER got scammed. Just read over feedbacks & have fun. Listen to your own intuition and don't bid on anything that doesn't feel right. :)

Wow, I was getting ready to order a bunch of DVDs from Collage Video (including most of the Cathe titles from the 2006 series - yes, I am completely behind everyone else!). I'm so glad I saw this email, as the prices at Advanced Workouts are cheaper than College and you can't beat free shipping.

I know this sounds really dumb, but I'm assuming all her DVDs come from the manufactuer, are sealed, and are the real deal? Again, I feel silly asking, but I'm so careful about ordering online - I've only ordered my exercise DVDs from Cathe directly or Collage because I know I can trust them. Just want to put my mind at ease!
 
Yes, real deal. Many instructors also endorse her. I believe Amy & Tracey both mention her "by name". Well respected, great service. And, what do you have to lose? If you don't like them your can return/exchange them.

Me too. Bought many items and have never had a problem including Cathe DVDs, however, I generally purchase from people rather than the ebay stores. If you read the store details you can get a feeling if it's a bit off. Read all the fine print.
