A Very Sad Day!

I am so sorry for your loss on your beloved dog. I know just how you are feeling since I lost a puppy not long ago and now I am fighting to save yet another puppy and fear the worst for this sweet little pup.
You and your family are in my prayers.

Cathe,

So sorry to hear about the loss of your dog.

I feel your pain. I loss my 15 year old black lab, Sly, last April, and I still miss him terribly.

My heart goes out to you.
<<hugs>>

Cathe...I am so sorry....:(...I know the shock well. I had to put my wolf of 15 years down in May. Just old age but hated having to do it and I miss him so much. Then Last Nov my DH had to put his dog a lab cross down. He was only 9 and went everywhere with my DH. He had sarcoma in his shoulder...:(...I like to think of my dogs playing up there too....and with my Dad....:)...my thoughts, hugs, and prayers to you and your family....Carole

My heartfelt sympathy for your loss. I lost my Pugsley several years ago after having him in the family for 18 years. It is a terribly difficult time to go through. I am sure you have many happy memories to cherish and I hope they help you through this awful time.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am a big animal lover and my pets are family so I know this is hard.

peace

Cathe ~

I am so, so sorry. I had to have my 15 year old doberman put down last spring and I know how difficult it is. When you have had a pet in your family for that long, it so hard to get used to them not being there anymore. Just remember all the wonderful times you had with your dear friend.

Dana

Cathe - I am so sorry to hear about your puppy. My thoughts are with you and your family. I hope the kids are taking it OK.

Take care, Marcia.

Cathe,

I'll keep your family, including Hampton and Dakota, in my prayers.

Shelley

I love the last line to the following story.......

Dogs In Heaven?

An old man and his dog were walking down this dirt road with fences on both sides, they came to a gate in the fence and looked in, it was nice grassy, woody areas, just what a 'huntin' dog and man would like, but, it had a sign saying 'no trespassing' so they walked on. They came to a beautiful gate with a person in white robes standing there. "Welcome to Heaven" he said. The old man was happy and started in with his dog following him. The gatekeeper stopped him. "Dogs aren't allowed, I'm sorry but he can't come with you."

"What kind of Heaven won't allow dogs? If he can't come in, then I will stay out with him. He's been my faithful companion all his life, I can't desert him now."

"Suit yourself, but I have to warn you, the Devil's on this road and he'll try to sweet talk you into his area, he'll promise you anything, but the dog can't go there either. If you won't leave the dog, you'll spend Eternity on this road."

So the old man and dog went on. They came to a rundown fence with a gap in it, no gate, just a hole. Another old man was inside. "S'cuse me Sir, my dog and I are getting mighty tired, mind if we come in and sit in the shade for awhile?"

"Of course, there's some cold water under that tree over there. Make yourselves comfortable"

"You're sure my dog can come in? The man down the road said dogs weren't allowed anywhere."

"Would you come in if you had to leave the dog?"

"No sir, that's why I didn't go to Heaven, he said the dog couldn't come in.
We'll be spending Eternity on this road, and a glass of cold water and some shade would be mighty fine right about now. But, I won't come in if my buddy here can't come too, and that's final."

The man smiled a big smile and said "Welcome to Heaven."

"You mean this is Heaven? Dogs ARE allowed? How come that fellow down the road said they weren't?"

"That was the Devil and he gets all the people who are willing to give up a life long companion for a comfortable place to stay. They soon find out their mistake, but then it's too late. The dogs come here, the fickle people stay there. GOD wouldn't allow dogs to be banned from Heaven. After all, HE created them to be man's companions in life, why would he separate them in death?"

Cathe, I'm very sorry to hear about your and your family's loss. The love of and for a pet is very special. And letting a pet go is one of the most challenging and selfless things a loving pet owner can do.

Take care -

A-Jock

Oh Cathe I am so sorry to hear about Hampton! He did have long life and no doubt the best a sweet lab could dream of, being able to spend his days with you and your family.

I join everyone in wishing you the best during this time of difficulty. I am very sorry for your loss.

Cathe,
I am so sorry for the loss of Hampton. That is so sad.
I am glad you and Ingramsh posted about bloat, because I had never heard of it and have a 10-year old large dog (a Rottweiler) and will now know to look out for this issue.
Take care of yourself and your family.
Linda

Cathe,

My deepest condolences to you and your family on the loss of Hampton. I know what it's like to lose such an important member of the family. Sending you prayers and hugs.

Take care.

Lord, Cathe, I'm grieving along with you and your family. Our beloved King, DH's "son" was also 13 when we had to let him go...cancer. We've been blessed with two of his daughters who live with us. But we still miss King. My condolences and prayers are with you and your family, Cathe.

Cathe,

I wanted you to know that I am sorry for your loss. I sincerely understand the sadness because I have lost many pets also. I take comfort in that most pet owners consider their animals part of the family and they are treated like kings and queens. I know that each of my animals has had a wonderful life and we loved them very much while they were here.
