    Just Starting

Daisy, I think the suggestion of the classics or any of the older tapes is a good one. I've been doing Cathe strength tapes for about a year but just started her cardio in January. I started out with Step Heat, Power Max, and Step Jam. All older step tapes where she tends to repeat the...

    IMAX and MIC

Hi Angela, Don't really have an answer regarding the intensity question BUT MIC can easily be split into two workouts, Hi / Lo one day, step the next day. For example something like this: Day 1– IMax1 Day 2 – MIC Hi / Lo + a strength workout (if your feelin strong) Day 3 – MIC Step...

Flaxseed cals and what to put it on?

i grind about 2 tblspns in my blender and then just add a combo of juices. usually always cranberry , and sometimes a medley of, papaya, orange, banana, whatever. i blend it all together and it makes a sort of thick juice drink. i chug it in one swig! it's great. :9 HTH Susan

Can you help me pick out a good Heart Rate Monitor??

I have a Polar and love it. I don't remember the model number but I do know it calculates calories burned for that workout, which is a real motivator. I got mine about 2 years ago and it's still going strong. I think they have new models out now with more bells and whistles for the same price. I...

I think Clare's advice is right on. I've been doing Cathe for about 9 months now and I'm afraid to buy the Terminator, but am itching to buy the Pyramids. From what I understand of the Terminator it's supper tough. I just recently purchased the Imax 1, Rhythmic Step, MIC DVD and find it...

Hi Nancy! I'm a Cathe-ite in NYC too!!! Well Brooklyn, but close enough. How exciting to find out there is a teeny tiny little community of "us" right here in the Big Apple :7 I don't really get lonely working out by myself, but I do get lonely not having anyone to discuss Cathe workouts...

Hi Normandy, I have a 1/2 inch thick dense foam or maybe it's rubber mat by Harbinger. It feels like one of those sticky yoga mats but it's a lot thicker. I remember I didn't pay more than $20 bucks for it maybe $18 or so BUT I'm not sure where I got it. :-( I do remember it was one of...
