Full fat vs. no fat or low fat

Full fat (yup I'm a fat head) and my avatar proves it! I sweeten my whole (full fat / zero sugar) Greek yogurt with a teaspoon of organic maple syrup, I am embarrassed that I swipe the bowl clean with my finger (or tongue). If I'm lucky to score in-season berries, then I skip the maple syrup...

ICE results? Sorry if this has been asked before but I'm new here....

I just did Rock M today, and I loved it completely. All segments, all the music, all the way through the stretch, then I meandered into the Premixes and was all glittery-eyed at the combinations. The one timesaver premix I am definitely going to use is just the warm-up and the combo's, no...

Outdoor Enthusiasts (Utah area or other) Question

I've been to Moab riding on many trails, so I'm only going to be able to direct you on mountain biking. Although I did have a wonderful day hiking up to the Delicate Arch in Arches National Park. The hike was magical, some of the rock formations reminded me of the Flintstones (if you are old...

Favorite salve for sore muscles and/or pulls

I have been using Boiron Arnicare Gel for a long time, has always reduced the pain from bruises plus they clear out faster. It doesn't have any smell and it feels very cool when applied, no staining of clothing or sheets.

Metabolic Total Body + Blizzard Blast - awesome

I love the Metabolic workout, second to the Legs workout. I have a 49" Bellicon and pretty much do a lot of the blasts on that. At first I thought it may be cheating, but my heart rate is always higher on the rebounder, plus I feel that I am working harder, yet its more fun and zero impact...

    Chiseled upper body

Oh sweet, now seriously, its the first time I have gotten the ((((hugs)))) thing, and I feel it! Thank you, it means a lot. Yah, life does turn upside-down easily. The positive side is I learned tons on mind/body connection, qi-gong, Pilates and Yoga, not to mention the complicated...

    Chiseled upper body

quote: What a little gem of a workout! Swear...that's what I said too! I just opened this set up a few weeks ago, and this was the first disc I chose. I didn't pre-order this set last year, but I got it for Christmas. Last year this time (which is nearly a year now) I injured myself...

    Heart rate monitor apps??

I have the Polar V800 and use the Polar Flow app (android) and works very well on my Samsung Galaxy S6. The Polar Flow web works flawless on Windows 7 and 10 (I run both OS on a laptop and 10 on a desktop). The A300 is supported by Polar Flow. Lots of cool stuff to learn.

Is Insanity a good option when resting from tennis elbow?

Your welcome! I realized I called it a video, but its a blogger's post with pics. I've permanently bookmarked that site on my computer, because it worked for me. Hope it helps you too.

Is Insanity a good option when resting from tennis elbow?

This is such good advice! You have to balance the muscles. Tennis elbow and golfer's elbow, I have suffered from both. I bought a green (medium) Flexbar from Theraband that I keep up with even when I'm healed up. There are some great YouTube's on how to use it for tennis/golfer's elbow...

Me too, Nancy helped me a couple times replacing a cracked dvd, I really appreciate her quick responses.

    How much rest?

If you train your whole body, lifting weights via a dvd or your own free weights plan, and you don't feel doms or any muscle tightness/fatigue the next day, then you are good to go. I don't care what the literature suggests on this. I'm not saying anyone should be lifting the next day, but if...

    Deadlift illustration!

Honestly, her form is off. Her extension at the top of the move will contribute to hyperlordosis, tucking her tailbone would help. I messed my back up doing deadlifts being slightly off on form, with an arched back at the top is not good. You really got to feel that move, and if you are...

    Help with Pull up Bands

I have wonky elbows (pertaining to unfortunate flying instances off my bike) and because STS is loaded with chin-up/pull-ups I ended up getting this product off Amazon. I'm a bit leery of bands, but this design gives me a feeling it won't snap me in the face if it fails. Been using it for...

This is where a rebounder comes in so handy! I rebound with Slow and Heavy too.

Is ICE for advanced exercisers as well?

This is my hesitation too, plus the addition of a modifier. I know that's a sticky issue with lots of people, and its probably indicative that it will be an intermediate set of workouts. (And this is my opinion only)...but I'm not a fan of modifiers because I get distracted easily and I'm...

    Advice on Adding Strength Training

I got to know what this means (I'm not figuring out how to work the new reply or quote features) so I just cut and pasted this: To conclude, try not to be distracted by advises from users who claim to know about overloading (sts) while they stick to wasting time lifting toothpick advocating...

    Advice on Adding Strength Training

Christin... Ok...the post from maddiesmum, this is one smart woman, listen to her...start from the beginning! You have never done STS, so do the whole enchilada. That first month will still gain you muscle and add a bit of that cardio beat you love. Some of the moves in Meso 1 are designed to...
