    Taking the Cathe plunge-Need Advice!

Elisa, so I see we sucked you in, huh??? I'm in agreement here with the others, for dancy: Stepworks and Rythmic Power. These are the two that I always "put off" doing because I am no J-lo (hey that rhymes). For a fun tape, Step Heat is my fav, plus it has abs at the end. Now dont forget, you...

    Anybody try Charlene Prickett??

Oh sure, rub it in Bobbi, but I asked for it, didn't I?? Im just a tad jealous. OK maybe really jealous. The worst thing about winter here is it gets dark at 4:30, so all ya wanna do is go to bed! If I didnt exercise, I swear Id go into a deep depression!! So go outside, bask in the warm sun...

    Wow-these are tough tapes-HELP!

Hey KB, I dont believe any of Cathe's tapes are easy! Just "less intense". Have no fear, just about everybody who starts off with Cathe says the same thing. They are tough workouts, I came from using the firm to Cathes tapes over a year ago, and I thought, OMG< ILL NEVER BE ABLE TO DO THIS!! I...

    Anybody try Charlene Prickett??

Stacy and Amy Jo, thanks for your help! I guess Charlene is known for her "chattiness" but it never bothered me in the past. She has a great personality. Im just looking for tapes to supplement my Cathe regieme, and like you said, get your heart rate up without having to do a lot of thinking or...

    Anybody try Charlene Prickett??

When I FIRST started doing home workouts about 15 years ago, I used to tape Charlene's "It figures" show and used to love it. For some reason I have been thinking about her and wonder if anybody on this forum has any of her tapes, whether or not you like them and any suggestions of tapes to try...

    Cathe step vs. Reebok step

PS sara, I would stay away from Step Works and Rythmic Step for now if you dont like dancy stuff, dont get me wrong they are good workouts (and some peoples Favorites) but the choreography is a much harder to catch on to, just my opinion. Judy

    Cathe step vs. Reebok step

Hey Sara! I just went and took a closer look at my step and see that the bottom of the step and the risers have a rubber ringy type thing in each corner to keep it from moving. I workout on carpet but just for you I took it into my foyer where there is tile and tested it and it didnt BUDGE! I...

    Cathe step vs. Reebok step

Hey Sarah! There have been many posts in the past debating this same question, there are also just as many opinions. But since I have both, Ill just add in my humble opinion. I first had the Reebok step and used it for quite a while, when I started doing Cathe after a while I ordered the "Step...

    Got IntervalMax by accident

RE: Agree with HB! Hey Connie, glad you decided to keep it. In your honor I just may do Interval Max today! I myself and choreographically impaired and when I first started doing Cathe tapes, I would get so frustrated, but Ive gotten much better (still have a tough time with Rythmic Step and...

    Happy New Year

Hi Stacy, Im in the same boat as you! My resolution is to workout 6 days a week (Ive been averaging 5) but like you, the eating is what does me in. Not that I pig out, but I really dont deny myself either! What can I say, I love to eat. I went out to eat the other night and had Fried Mozzerella...

    Thanks, from a silent follower

Hi Cindy. First of all, congrats on your weight loss. That's AWESOME! I did MIC last week, thinking I was this tough guy and would breeze thru it, ah, yeah, right. I think I coughed up a lung during the hi-intensity section, but anyhow, I think a great weight section to re-start with is the...

    Got IntervalMax by accident

Cardio Kicks sounds like just what your looking for. I just did it yesterday and still LOVE that tape. Its definately high intensity and like you said, doesnt require a step. CTX kickboxing is fun too but I cant remember if you need a step for that one, AND its only sold as a six tape set. If I...

    MIC made me cry!

Oh my dear Sarah, I can sympathize with you. Ive been doing Cathe for a while, am an advanced exerciser, and was feeling really energetic yesterday so I did MIC. The hi-lo section is so difficult, I have to modify towards the end, without a doubt, a "10" on the perceived excertion scale. I cant...

    Kudos to Getnfit@38!

Hi Donna, just wanted to add my 2cents. I read the other thread and am ABSOLUTELY AMAZED at your progress. Forget the scale ( I really want to use another word instead of "forget", but I trying to be lady-like!) You are AWESOME baby, we all know on this forum how hard it is to get in/stay in...

    Firm or Cathe?

Hiya Tonya and welcome! I, too, was a Firmie, until I found Cathes tapes and well, that was it. I was and am hooked. Her tapes are awesome and you WILL love them. I started out a year ago with (hmm, let me think) Step Heat, The Wedding Video (dont let the name turn you off, its such a great...
