Happy New Year

Hi! I just wanted to wish everyone a happy new year, and if you're making a resolution this year I want to say good luck to you!! I have been psyching myself up for the last week or so for my resolution...losing those last 10-15 stubborn lbs!! Working out has never been my problem, clean eating has. I bought the Thin for Life Journal last night so I can record what I eat and my workouts in one journal. I really want to do it this year!! It's going to be a tough journey ahead, but these forums I know will help get me thru the tough times! It's so great to have everyone here that understands the trials, tribulations, victories and discouragements that weight loss and achieving life long healthy eating habits can bring! Thanks ahead of time!!

Hi Stacy, Im in the same boat as you! My resolution is to workout 6 days a week (Ive been averaging 5) but like you, the eating is what does me in. Not that I pig out, but I really dont deny myself either! What can I say, I love to eat. I went out to eat the other night and had Fried Mozzerella (here in CT we just call it "fried muzz") MY GOD IT IS SOOOO GOOD and I cannot imagine having to ever give that up, If I ate properly all the time Im so sure those last 10 lbs but hey, I guess its all about what you are willing to give up to reach your goal, fried muzz just aint one of them!! Oh well, Happy New Year! Judy

Hi Stacy :)
I'm wanting to clean up my eating, too. I probably need to lose 5 pounds or so, and I'm hitting 30 this week, so I know now is the time to nip the slow weight gain in the bud!
My mom sent me her Weight Watchers stuff, and I think it may be just the thing for me. I love to track the details of my workouts, and I know doing so has made me become very consistent over the past few years. With the food journal and counting points with WW, I hope that the same consistency will start to happen with my eating. Just by doing it the past 3 days, I am so much more aware of how much I eat. I love to organize and track things--hopefully this will do the trick!
Good luck with your resolution and journal!! Let's go !!! :-jumpy

Same to you, Stacy! And Everyone Else!

I, too, am in the "want to lose those last 10 lbs" group. And I, too, am guilty of not watching what I eat as much as I should. I was always SO conscious of what I ate, but in the last 5 years or so (I am 37 with 3 kids), I have completely lost that willpower. Terrible!

I am making that my resolution this year; that and consistent workouts. They have been falling by the wayside, too.

I know so many women my age (and older) that let themselves go and shrug it off, saying "Oh well, we're getting older". I REFUSE to be part of that mind-set!

Good luck, everyone, and Happy New Year!

Sandi

PS And thanks to you, Stacy, for some of your fine rotations you have posted. I print off all the ones on this forum and appreciate the ones for the time-challenged.
