Good morning, Donna! I just wanted to tell you that I've thought of the discussion thread you started on Monday all week. And I'd just like to tell you how much I admire you!

It takes enormous courage and optimism to take the kinds of positive, self-affirming steps you've taken to get healthy and fit. As a group fitness instructor, I see a lot of women start a program, and then fall off after about 6-8 weeks or so - and in fact, I used to be that person myself. In fact, that tends to be the rule rather than the exception. You, on the other hand, have started with it and stuck with it, and are willing to ask for input and help when you need it rather than let discouragement take over.

I really look forward to future posts from you, sharing your successes and your journey with us all!

I agree!!! Even more - Donna has been incredibly generous in her support and advice to others! Thanks Donna!

The words "thank you" do not even begin to describe my appreciation for this post! I saw my "tag" and my mouth fell open, and thank goodness it's too cold outside for flies, because I didn't shut it until I'd read your post twice!
Thank you so much for your encouragement, and as much of a struggle as it is, I am determined to reach my goal, and then begin a new goal of maintaining a healthy and fit lifestyle. I have two daughters that I am praying will never struggle with their weight as I have mine, and I'm hoping that they will jump on the wagon with me and start exercising now while they're young. So far they just say, "good going mom", as they're eating a slice of pepperoni pizza!
but thanks to this forum and people like you who are just so generous with your time and educated input, I am confident that I will reach my goals, obviously, at a slower pace now, but I'll reach them nonetheless thanks to you all!
Thanks again, Donna

P.S. Hi Katie and thanks for the "shout out!"

Hi Donna, just wanted to add my 2cents. I read the other thread and am ABSOLUTELY AMAZED at your progress. Forget the scale ( I really want to use another word instead of "forget", but I trying to be lady-like!) You are AWESOME baby, we all know on this forum how hard it is to get in/stay in shape, and ALL of us share in your frustration. But keep plugging. And, by the way, I think a pound in a week is really good!! So there! Judy.
