When I FIRST started doing home workouts about 15 years ago, I used to tape Charlene's "It figures" show and used to love it. For some reason I have been thinking about her and wonder if anybody on this forum has any of her tapes, whether or not you like them and any suggestions of tapes to try. I am looking for hi intensity, lower impact preferably hi-lo floor workout. Im thinking of"low impact hi intensity", "start your engines" or "rev up the sequel" Any one have any input?? Im just looking for something different to mix up my Cathe workouts. Thanks!! Judy

Hi! I purchased Rev Up the Sequel a few months ago. I had never had any experience with any of her tapes before. I have mixed views on the tape. The cons for me are......she's too chatty, the set is very outdated, and the outfits that some of the guys are wearing are very, let's just say, interesting. That being said, the tape looks deceptively simple. But, to my surprise, I find myself having to pause it several times to catch my breath. The choreography is very basic. I dont use this tape very often, but when I do it always gets my heart pumping. I tend to use this tape on days I want to sweat, but I dont want to think about choreography.

Hi Judy,
I just recently purchased Start your engines and I love this tape for a down day. I sometimes need a low impact, but still intense workout after a long week of kickboxing and high impact stepping. She does talk a lot through the video, but it is 60 minutes of low impact. Amy Jo

Stacy and Amy Jo, thanks for your help! I guess Charlene is known for her "chattiness" but it never bothered me in the past. She has a great personality. Im just looking for tapes to supplement my Cathe regieme, and like you said, get your heart rate up without having to do a lot of thinking or for a "down day" Thanks again! Judy

Thanks Bobbi. I checked out the website, no tapes that Im looking for right at the moment but Ill keep checking back. Is is warm in Arizona these days?? Oh how I hate the winter in CT!! Thanks again. Judy

Judy, I hate to tell you this but it is so gorgeous right now! We've had incredibly mild 80 degree days which is about 18 degrees warmer than usual for January. We were unseasonably cool for awhile. I love it either way. Cold and rainy never lasts and is a nice change of pace. And those 70 to 80 degree winter days make me know why I put up with 110 in the endless summer of the desert!

Oh sure, rub it in Bobbi, but I asked for it, didn't I?? Im just a tad jealous. OK maybe really jealous. The worst thing about winter here is it gets dark at 4:30, so all ya wanna do is go to bed! If I didnt exercise, I swear Id go into a deep depression!! So go outside, bask in the warm sun, see if I care!!!! AGGGHHHH!!! Judy
