    Seeing defined quadricep muscles

Cut back on the cardio and focus on heavy weight days for the legs - I got the best results from a combination of Butts & Guts leg blast premix and Gym Style Legs. Low body fat helps, but despite being overweight I still got some good definition, and even a nice "teardrop" muscle for my...

    Kevin Trudeau's "Weight Loss Cure"

RE: Kevin Trudeau's >Go ahead and judge, please! This guy in my opinion is a scam >artist. years ago he got caught by the FTC making outrageous >claims that were not scientifically proven. >This book is incredibly stupid, I have skimmed over it, and >tossed it down in total disgust. >Hey...

    Favorite Cardio Coach

It's probably best to start with CC1 or 2, because they're shorter and the revised versions have more indepth instruction. My very favorite is CC3, with the second hill challenge repeated. Fun stuff!

    Cathe Calendar Results for June

<waving hi to Heather> I so appreciate that you thought of me! How cool is that? I'm so proud of you. :-) Tomorrow I hop back on the Weight Watchers wagon. These past few months have been really awful - my older daughter (16) has been beset by some serious problems, culinating in F's...

    NFL films

    >Wouldn't it be great if "the voice of God" announced Cathe's >workouts -- or if they zoomed in in slow motion on air jacks? >Lol! > LOL! I used to love watching NFL films with my brothers.

Gym Style Back - One Arm Row pain question

I find the row to be kind of a tricky exercise. You really have to focus your back muscles - your arm and shoulder are just along for the ride. Now, I just simulated the move and the impression I get is that you are perhaps thrusting your shoulder forward in order to keep your arm next to...

    Question re: soreness

My legs don't get sore when I work them regularly. It's usually after the very first few workouts, or coming back from a break, or doing a completely new and different exercise that I get soreness. I usually work out again when the soreness begins to subside, but is not totally gone.

    high step: 12 or 14???

I'm 5'6" and 12 works fine for me. I can do 14, but 12 is more comfortable.

Are Cathe users "weight losers" or "muscle builders?"

RE: Are Cathe users I'm both. I'm looking to lose weight and add muscle. I'm definitely a fitness enthusiast - far from serious. Working out is fun and challenging for me.

    bad addiction

I save up for my Cathe habit and try to get to just over $100 so I can get the free shipping. I haven't bought anything in a few months - I have a good variety as is, and I'm waiting for the presale.

My band broke this morning during Drill Max

I bought 3 bands - one for regular use, one knotted for firewalkers, and one extra, still in the package, because I just know eventually, one is going to snap.:-)

    Teen bathing suit help

Kohl's has cute suits in a variety of styles. My 16 year old found a nice bikini there - she opted for a boyshort-style bottom.

    MIS vs Power Hour

I've done them interchangeably. They seem to complement each other in that the exercises are different (if not in type, then in sequencing). Both are good for gaining muscle endurance, although in my case, I gained muscle as well because I started doing them when I was new to lifting.

    Thoughts on Imax 2?

IMAX2 is in my "top 5" of Cathe workouts, along with Low Max, KPC, Muscle Endurance, and the Gym Styles.

    Hardest leg workout?

I'd have to say Gym Style Legs, Pyramid Lower Body and the leg blast premix from B & G will work your legs pretty well. The B & G doesn't work the entire leg, mostly the butt, quad and inner thigh. But it's still good. }(

    Your advice please Ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kathryn and the other posters gave you some great advice. I'd like to ditto the Cardio Coach recommendation, and agree that diet is the "X" factor for weight loss. It really is. Good luck to you!

    Lovin' the Rollerblades!

I like your rollerblade posts, too. :-) DH and I used to rollerblade quite often until I got pregnant with my second daughter. We got so good, we could go super fast. Fun stuff! It was funny, one day I walked by the mirror and noticed that my butt was totally lifted up from all the...

Butt and Gut - of other lower body suggestions

If you think L & G works your butt (and it's not too shabby) - you have to try B & G. B & G is like a laser aimed directly at your butt. Another poster mentioned the leg blast premix - that one is an amazing sweat fest and really does wonders for my quads and inner thighs, as well as the...

    Squat thrust climbers/jumps

I do them elevated, against my coffee table instead of the floor. I have to be careful, but they still work me good.
