Hardest leg workout?

I love working out my legs.

I just posted about Kick Max, and how I love the Leg Conditioning section.

Can anyone recommed the hardest leg conditioning workout from Cathe? Or any other instructor?

I am all about having the most muscular legs (have always thought I have had chicken legs - want to make them stronger).

THANK YOU!!!!!

Hi, I don't know what DVDS you have, but I like "Legs and Glutes" and "Leaner legs". For a real burn, do either one of those workouts and tack on the stability ball section of PLB afterwards.

Or,Butts and Guts "overall legs" premix is quite good too!

The "squeeze" dvd (you can search more about it in open discussion forum) also has some of the hardest glute/inner thigh/leg work out there!

Good luck!

By the way, if you are going for over all leg strength, then you might like Slow and Heavy Legs!!;)

I'd have to say Gym Style Legs, Pyramid Lower Body and the leg blast premix from B & G will work your legs pretty well. The B & G doesn't work the entire leg, mostly the butt, quad and inner thigh. But it's still good. }(

You know, I agree w/ the above post, but I'd also like to throw PS Strong Legs and Abs into the mix. If you go as heavy as you can, its a toughie for gaining strength too. I like that it hits ALL part of the lower body and very thoroughly.

While its a bit dated, it definitely gets the job done.

Take care, Lynn M.

I think Leaner Legs from Cross Train Express or Gym Style Legs are really good.

So is the Leg/Ab portion of the Pure Strength Series.

The reason I like these workouts is that the calves get a workout, something someimes missing in leg videos.

I think the premix from B&G of the leg blast. It's a killer! I thought my legs were rock hard before...I saw a bigger diffence after doing this once a week.

Which DVD has "leaner legs"?

This may be a dumb question, sorry!

I just am not sure which workout it comes from.

Thank you! :)

You can make a work out harder by doing more reps. E.G., on Legs and Glutes Cathe does two sets of calf raises (separated by other exercises). After you finish her set, hit your DVD controller to go back to repeat that calf raise chapter. Then do a second set but this time do it double time, i.e. each time Cathe does one calf raise, you do two. If you do this twice, you will end up with a total of 4 sets of calf raises, two at Cathe speed and two at double speed. My calves ache the day after this. Same concept is applicable to other chapters.

Other modifications are to vary the angle. Do a set of calf raises with toes pointed out \ / and a set with toes pointed in / \. By varying the angle slightly, you work and strengthen different parts of the muscle. Cathe mentions this concept every now and again when she does one exercise in slightly different ways, e.g. full bicep curls and half bicep curls.

Hello!

I get a great workout using the Butts and Guts Premix: Leg Blast. I believe it's more an endurance type workout-as is Leaner Legs. For muscle building I get the best results from Pure Strength if I go as heavy as possible on exercises that aren't part of the warm up. I like the format of Pure Strength, too.
