    Recognizing a dysfunctional marriage...

It would seem from what you have told us that you have, in the past, acknowledged their anniversary. All families have their "traditions", and if this is the tradition in your family, I would advise you to send a card. For you to refuse to send a card simply because their marriage is...

    Old School FItness Videos

Just this morning I did Gilad's 45-minute toning workout. The buns and thighs were definitely burning! I love his Fat Burning workout and his Step Aerobics also -- the Hawaiian beach is just wonderful. And possibly the most fun workout I have (though not the most intense) is his Jerusalem...

    You may say I'm a dreamer...(long)

Every week you hear of the passing of different celebrities. Sometimes the name was all but forgotten, or you hadn't realized they were still alive. Sometimes it's a shock. Sometimes you feel a sadness to hear of the loss of somebody who entertained you, made you laugh, made you think, etc...

trying to get fit w/o overdoing it

Hello, Ursel! I'm not Cathe of course, but I'm turning 57 next week. I don't know which videos you have, but the ones that work quite well for me are The Classics and Cardio Hits for step aerobics (modify as needed, mix and match segments as you like). Low Max is one of my all time favorites...

    LIC 6 inch step

My knees will turn 57 next week. For well over half of that time, they carried much extra weight! So one thing I am thankful for at this time of year is that I am able to do my Cathes and Christis on a 6" step. There is many a 57 year-old, I'm sure, who would love to be able to move the way I can!

    advanced step cardio instructors

Christi Taylor's Fantastic Four includes Step Heaven and Still Steppin. Both are quite advanced. It also includes 2 advanced hi-lo workouts, Hi Lo Heaven and Still Jumpin'. An excellent value! Not quite as complex is Kari Anderson's Hot Steps. It's pretty close to advanced.

Please Help Me - In major (emotional) pain..

Hi, Amy! My heart goes out to you... I think we've all been "dumped" at one time or another and it does hurt. The pain can last for quite some time, but it does fade. It's just like getting a bad cut -- you bleed, then it scabs over and hurts, then it fades to itching, and soon the scar fades...

    Read any good books lately?

I just finished Gods in Alabama. I can't remember the author's name -- I couldn't put it down. It was a really fast and fun read. Anything by Fannie Flagg -- Fried Green Tomatoes is a good one.

    The day has finally arrived!!!

I started my day with Low Max in honor of your first day of filming! I would say "break a leg" for luck, but that might not be an appropriate sentiment. But I'm wishing you all the very best. Angel

    Question for Christi fans!

Fantastic Four is a must. The Totally Series and Solid Gold are great. I haven't tried it, but I understand Mission Possible is more geared to beginner/intermediates or those who aren't familiar with Christi. Christi is my favorite -- I just did Step Heaven this morning and it's a great way...

Why won't more people strength train?

Janice, I think you are correct. I don't think it's laziness either. Most of the people I know are busy raising families, working jobs, balancing family needs and trying to make time for themselves can be extremely tough. Between the demands of husband, kids' schedules, housework and a...

    Just Out of Curiosity...

I do mine alphabetically by the first name of the instructor (CAthe Freidrich before CHristi Taylor, for example) and then alphabetically within the instructor's workouts (HIgh Step Challenge before LOw Max, for example). Exceptions -- the FIRM are all together and so are Turbo Jam and the TLTs...

    New peeve

As a formerly morbid obese woman who is now petite (originally size 26-28, now size 4), I can tell you, and studies confirm, that there is something called "body dismorphia". Obese people look in the mirror and see "pleasingly plump" or chubby; they do not see what the rest of the world sees...

    Taylor or Katharine

Taylor should win. However, just remember who is doing the voting! Teenaged girls. They will more likely vote for Katharine. Though she needs to learn to not "show off" her voice so much, but to use her voice as more of a vehicle to show off the song, Katharine has a lot of talent. But Taylor...

Wow, that is a neat site! I sent it to my husband, and he'll probably spend quite a bit of time there. Thanks for sharing!

    Favorite NON-Cathe Workouts??

Anything by Christi Taylor! I do love her step and hi-lo workouts. She leaves me dripping with sweat, and that's the way I like it.
