Workout Room Done! Phew...

Wow it looks great

My workout space is the family room too and when everyone is at home its hard for me to get my WO done esp if the fireplace is on :s

I would so love to have my own space like that Lucky You :7 lol

Liann, it looks great! I love what you did with the mirrors! That's a great idea...I think I may steal it for my workout room! :D

Belinda - Yes, that is the Wal-Mart Gold's Gym bench. It had more yellow on the picture from the wal-mart.com website, but mine only has a yellow seat adjustment bar. I actually like it being all gray better.

Steal away! :) I bought those mirrors at Wal-mart. They are the over the door ones. I just hung them on my insulation. So far they are holding strong (fingers crossed).

Thanks Liann! I will fly to the US in April, to ship all my household goods to Germany (I left all my furniture with my kids in the US). I will go to WM and pick one up, since I can’t find one over here for a good price! The one I saw in our PX was also a GY model for $159, the seat on the floor model already was splitting in half! It really didn’t look that sturdy to me!

Lovin' your new room Liann! Don't you love having your own space?! Must have been a workout in itself to set all of that up.

Looks AWESOME!!

Congrats ! I just got mine set up a month or so ago also. (One of those that I wasn't married to left ;-) ).

It is so nice to just workout without DS and his "buddies" running through the house watching, let alone having my weights, step, etc sitting in the family room all the time !

You enjoy as I know you will:+

Your workout space looks great!

I workout in the basement too and it's cooler and quieter than working out upstairs with fewer interruptions as well! I love my alone time in the basement with Cathe, Tony, Sean, etc.:) OK, so maybe it's not "alone" time. LOL! Enjoy your new space.:)

Thanks guys! I just got done breaking my treadmill in with a 30 minute workout and then 15 minutes on the bike. It was SOOO nice to just blare my music and work out without weird looks from my DH or my wiener dogs! I am definitely not going to miss the family room!

Congratulationas Lianne!!!! Looks Awesome

so thats what a squat rack looks like,LOL. I thought it was a mechanical thingy?

Yep, that's a squat rack. It's pretty much set for doing chest presses in that pic though. I'd have to raise it up considerably to use it for squats so that I can back up to it and pick up the bar from a standing position. I haven't officially tried it out for those yet. ;)

What a wonderful room! I'll try to think of some more TOYS for you to fill your space! Ha! Do you have room to do cardio/step??? Great setup Liann! Have fun!

It doesn't look like I would have room for step from the pictures, but there is actually a decent amount of space between the squat rack and the front of the room where the bike and treadmill is. With the treadmill in the up position and the bench pushed off to the side and back, I have the same amount of room as I had in the living room. It equals 5 puzzle mats wide by 4 puzzle mats deep. If I didn't have that stupid pole in the middle of the room, I could push the squat bar back farther and have 5x5. Oh well... ;)

p.s. Debbie - I'm SURE you will come up with more toys for me, lol! I actually have one more toy to install - a pull up bar that's been laying in the basement just waiting to be put up. It's a joist attachment pull-up bar, so I'm going to put it on one of the joists towards the side of the room where I will not hit it when doing jacks and stuff. ;)

Dave has been threatening me to put me and all my stuff in the garage. HE says he wants to workout when he finishes his project (okay, yeah right and I smile nicely and say okay honey). Does anyone workout in a garage by any chance?

Room looks great!!
