It doesn't look like I would have room for step from the pictures, but there is actually a decent amount of space between the squat rack and the front of the room where the bike and treadmill is. With the treadmill in the up position and the bench pushed off to the side and back, I have the same amount of room as I had in the living room. It equals 5 puzzle mats wide by 4 puzzle mats deep. If I didn't have that stupid pole in the middle of the room, I could push the squat bar back farther and have 5x5. Oh well...
p.s. Debbie - I'm SURE you will come up with more toys for me, lol! I actually have one more toy to install - a pull up bar that's been laying in the basement just waiting to be put up. It's a joist attachment pull-up bar, so I'm going to put it on one of the joists towards the side of the room where I will not hit it when doing jacks and stuff.
