This thread was hysterical. Another vote for Ensign Chekov from original Star Trek (and also bad Sulu in the episode where they all had alter egos living in a parallel universe, bad Spock, too).
I loved all the Monkeys, but Michael Nesmith really appealed to my love of geeks. He was clearly the brainiac of the group.
