I just wanted to say that my hat is off to all of you ladies that manage to get out of bed at 4 and 5 in the morning and do a full work out before I have even opened my eyes!!! I work out in the evenings. I know a.m. exercising is better for optimal results but I just can't get by butt out of bed! And even if I did...I fear I'd hurt myself coz I'd be half asleep! lol

I work out in the early morning, I find it gives me a huge energy boost. I started in the mornings years ago so I wouldn't be able to make an excuse for not working out later in the day. If it is the first thing I have on my agenda for the day, it won't get pushed aside.

I HAVE to do first thing in the morning, usually start about 4:30!! My work schedule is so unpredictable, sometimes I don't get home until 8 or 9 at night and by then I just want to crawl in bed!!! Of course, on my day off and most weekends, I work out in the afternoon.

Hi Wendy snd Sherry.I usually train in the evening. In the weekend I execise in the morning. I prefer exercise in the morning but I have to work in my job during the whole morning.

Early a.m. (5). I love to have it done by the time I go to work and it frees up my after work day. . .to clean, get supper ready, grade papers, :( , be with my family:) . Every once in a while I work out after work, but there are too many distractions.

I voted "evening," but it's more like "late afternoon/early evening" because I usually start between 5:00 and 6:00.

I wish I could force myself out of bed at 6am which is when I would have to do it before work. Whenever I try to get up, I feel too groggy and I can't imagine getting up enough energy to give it my best. Do you wake up quickly once you get started and feel you've worked your hardest? I think I may try hearing how many do get up!

During the school week, I get out and ride my horse from about 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. (this includes getting him out of the field, cleaning him up, riding, and putting everything away.

I go home and eat, and usually don't get to workout until 8:30 or 9:00 p.m.

I know it's not ideal, but it's the best I can do!

Sometimes I work out that late myself. I try to start before 8pm but with cookin' dinner and all and then allowing time to digest it can be hard to get started before 8! No matter what time we do it though, it's far better than not doing it at all! :+ :D :7 :)

Have a great work out!

5am for me, 7 days a week (Sundays is yoga only). The sheer routine of getting up at 5am every day is what makes it easy. The body adjusts, and within a few weeks, it feels as normal as getting up at any other time of the day. And I love having the workout done, without distractions, and never having to worry about when I'll get to fit it in for the day. It also makes me feel so good that I can't imagine starting the day without it.

When you later evening exercisers are starting your workouts, I'm going to sleep! So, I guess it all works out in the end, doesn't it? You're sleeping while I'm working out, and I'm doing the same for you!

Cheers!
Sandra

I usually workout in the evenings, but there is an *awesome* gym at my work location. Employees are free to use it and I checked it out for the first time yesterday on my lunch hour. There are nice showers and locker rooms too. :D It's great. So sometimes, I'll be working out at lunch time and other times in the evenings. I work full time and I need my sleep!!!

Hello everyone!

I work out at 4:00 every weekday morning and at about 5:30 on Saturday. This is the best time for me because it is just about the only time I get that I can feel pretty sure I will not be interrupted! My three little boys get up around 6:00 - gotta be done before that! They try to be patient, but it's hard when they have so much to tell me!
Have a great day!

Jane

early morning.. i crawl out of bed at 4:30 and i'm exercising by 5! even on weekends.. if i'm not going on a bike ride.. i'm up by 5:30 and exercising by 6.. i just can't do it later in the day.. and if i screw around mornings on weekends/holidays and don't get started til say.. 7ish... it just really ruins the workout for me...

cute work out clothes are good for AT LEAST an additional 10-15 calories burned!

Hi Wendy! I'm with you on this! I cannot get out of bed early at all! I have been working out at 1:00 pm and then eating lunch afterwards. Last year at this time I was working out at 11:00 am everyday and this worked out great. My workout time will vary because of my work schedule. I'm jealous of all of you who get out of bed early no problem.

Janey,
Your boys are adorable!!!

I work out at either 5 or 9 pm. Depends on how much schoolwork the DD's have. I would have to w/o at 4:30am, because I work early. And I don't think that would be fair to my DH, who works 2nd shift. All the noise, noise, noise.. (as the Grinch would say)}(

It's 4:00AM for me. I'm energized for the day...and it's easier to stick with a clean diet.

I work out in the evenings unless it's the weekend, and then I work out in the morning. I'm up by 7:00 and moving my thing with Cathe! Sometimes on the weekends I will squeeze two workouts into each day, placing the 2nd workout either mid-morning after taking an hour break from the first workout, or in the early afternoon. This is a great way for me to get in workouts I haven't had time for during the week...and it also allows me to get in a couple more cardio workouts, as well.

I work 4-10's with Friday's off and have to leave the house at 5:30 a.m. so I exercise from 3:00 to 4:00 a.m., then make lunches, check email, into shower at 4:45 and leave house at 5:30 a.m. I go to bed about 8:30 p.m. Maybe it's my age (46), but I seem to need less sleep and am wide awake by 2:30 a.m. or so when I roll out of bed. I enjoy Fridays where I can sleep in a bit and exercise around 7 or 8 a.m. LOVE MY 4-10'S!!!
