wait for 4 -split? Or buy Gym Styles plus the 4-day split?

What do you all think? Will the 4-day split weights be similar enough to the gym styles so I wouldn't need to purchase both?

Alison

You know, I just realized the 4-day split workouts are only supposed to be 60 minutes, so the Gym Styles are probably more intense since they are longer....good for when you want/need to go heavier.

I also thought about purchasing PUB/PLB instead of Gym Styles for now...

Any more thoughts anyone?

That is a good question and since I do not have the gym styles DVD (shame on me) then can some one tell me how heavy the dumbbells are in this DVD.

the pyramid workouts are AMAZING. they are really tough and you will see great results. both workouts are great in my book so i can't really choose one or the other. i'm sure you will see results from either one.

It sounds like we're going to see something like the Slow & Heavy series in these new workouts, so I'd say to go ahead and get the Gym Styles. That will give you some variety.

Check out the "Excel Spreadsheet" thread in the Rotations forum - Tess generously posted weight sheets for all of the workouts, and the really nifty part is that she included the weights Cathe uses as benchmarks for each exercise.

Hi Alison,

If you want a demanding weight workout, Gym Styles are fantastic!

I got great results using them for one month. I did all Gym Styles and the next day all cardio.

Now I am going back to an occasional circuit workout.

All I can say is the Gym Styles are a great investment and if you push yourself, the payoff will be tremendous!

I would buy both, but I have own almost every Cathe video. I just can't resist and the presale prices are always so good!

Cheers!

Amy

Pyramids are great, but Gym Styles uses heavier weights at a more controlled speed.

The Pyramids go from light weights at higher reps to heavy weights to low weights and then back down the pyramid.

I think you should buy all of them!!!! I enjoy the Gym Styles because of the variety of exercises that she does!

I also think that you should buy both of them...since you will need heavy (10,15,20#)weights for both of them....

You guys are awesome! I love the fact that I can ask questions here and get such good answers!

I think I will end up buying all her DVDs. I just have to space them out a bit so my husband doesn't freak!

How many of you own most/all of her DVDs?? I wish I had stuck with Cathe when I first found her 10 years ago...so sad! My knees bothered me then so I just figured I couldn't do step. I don't seem to have the same problem now! My problem now is coming up with the money for all these great DVDs!

Thanks everyone!

I think that not ordering the 4 Day Split as a Pre Sale will have you kicking yourself in the butt by not taking advantage of the Presale.

With this series, you will get cardio plus weight training.

The Gym Styles are all weights and contain no ab workouts.

So I say Go for It, especially since you are building a Cathe library.

Cheers!

Amy

I'd say to get both and eventually to get all her strength workouts. Its great to have variety in strength workouts. And you can always count on Cathe giving you your money's worth in great workouts. Think of all the mixing and matching you can do with the premixes. The possibilities are endless.

I've got most of them. I think I'm only missing 3 at this point (which I'll no doubt get soon). I've also already ordered the presale. I have sold countless other videos to buy more Cathes instead.
