Back to the family. Told them I was takign out the trash. Hee hee.

Hi ladies

I just ate my last taste of sugar...none until Easter. If I am a b*&%^$ for the next few days you know why!

Melanie-did you win Connect 4..haley and I used to play that all the time. We play Scene It a lot now. We love games here!
Christine-sorry your dh is sick..glad you made him go to dr! I hope John give you a nice day tomorow!

nite nite bb in the morning

Good AM, ladies. Ya'll get chatty in spurts around here. lol

This AM I did the Core Fusion on FitTV. It reminds me of yoga/pilates. It was supposed to be an upper body workout...but it felt more like stretching. I didn't mind it (it was only 30 minutes)...but it was hard. I am a very stiff gal. I then did a 35 minute TEMPO run, per training schedule & threw in a bunch of ab work in after. Now I'm headed to shower.

I got a new scale that measures body fat. It says I'm 30% body fat.:eek: It does measure me about 0.5lbs less than my other scale......so according to my NEW scale I"m 142lbs today. We're going with that. :D LOL

Hi Ladies..busy day here
I did 4ds legs and shoulders this morning. Just got Kara down for a nap and gonna go make some soup. bbs
Melanie-what scale did you get? We need a new one. Do you like it?

Susan, this is the one I got: http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/bea...13/Health+o+meter+Body+Fat+Bathroom+Scale.jsp
Kohls was having their 30% off sale again. The scale is okay, the numbers are kinda small. It was a fair price. I was dragging my scale from upstairs to downstairs and back all the time. I thought it'd be nice to have two of them, so I splugred. It's a good thing I went back to work with all my spluging while on maternity leave.

My cold weather running clothes (from Eddie Bauer) came today. I really like them alot. I even got a matching hat with a pony tail hole in the back. LOL I refuse to run outside unless it's 40 degrees or warmer.....so a couple more weeks. They had a really cheap clearance sale, so I got a new coat from there too. It's a black classical peacoat type. My coat was getting a little shabby (it's 7 years old)!!!

Hey girls! Got a little more sleep last night so I feel better today. Still not very productive at work. I feel like playing, not working.

Melanie- I bought a new coat this year too. It's a dark gray wool peacoat. :D I don't need a winter coat very often (or for very long) here in FL so it should last forever! I have an old cheap scale from Walmart that I use. So far, I like what it tells me. :p

Susan- What kind of soup are you making? I'm making a chili tonight with LOTS of veggies in the crockpot. A friend at work made it last night and brought some for me to try so I ran to the store on my lunch break for the rest of the ingredients. It was YUMMY! I give you props for keeping your man happy. I just don't have the energy lately for that type of stuff.

Well we still don't know who is preggo here at work. It's become a big game to us. (Can you tell we are bored???;)) We still think it's my boss because she's been SUPER nice and getting take out ALOT, which is what I always wanted to do when preggo. She normally is nice for three weeks and then has her B^&%* week when AF is here. Plus she is stick thin and been wearing longer flowy tops. But I work with at least 16 women between the ages of 24-40 who it could be.

Hi
Kara took a good 1.5 hour nap for me today so I got a lot done around here.
Jen-your chili sounds sooo good! Since its Ash Wednesday were are not eating meat today nor on Fridays during lent...I am doing the meat thing with dh..and he is giving up sugar for me.I am making a new Tilapia recipe tonight..I'll post it if its good.

Melanie-thanks so much for the scale info! You are gonna be stylin is your new running gear!
Poopy baby..bbs

Finished cleaning the bathrooms. I'm contemplating hiring that housekeeper. I always said that I would never hire someone.....then I broke down when I was on bedrest. It takes me a couple hours every two weeks....and I'd rather spend the time with my girls. The housecleaner only charges $10/hour. The thing is, we'll all be home when she's cleaning, which is weird to me.

It's so fun to get new clothes after you lose a ton of weight. So far, I've lost over 50lbs!!! Everything fits me now, except maybe some of my super dooper skinny clothes (which rarely it me before I was pg). I'll have to get a picture of myself in my running clothes. I took a before picture too,...which I did before/after all my kiddos. That was really icky.:eek:

Well, Suzie homemaker better fold some laundry & get dinner in crockpot. We're having sloppy joes. My kids really liked them last time we made them. Unless DH decides to take me out for our anniversary tonight. LOL

No Susan, Melanie didn't tell us.... I saw it on FB. :p She's keeping things from us!!! You can make a veggie chili!

I hope your DH takes you out for dinner Mel! You deserve it! I hear ya girl on the "new" wardrobe. It felt so good not to wear maternity clothes and wear regular clothes. I have bought a few tops lately because that is the only consistent size right now. I am still hoping to slim down the bottom half. I have a picture a few days post partum naked as a jaybird on the toilet (courtesy of DH) :D that doesn't even LOOK like me with the big boobs and saggy belly. It would be weird having someone at the house cleaning while you were home but I would rather that so I could keep an eye on them.

Susan~ you didn't miss it, I kinda just threw it in there. DH and I are going to take the twins & go out to eat tonight. Sounds nice. Steak & Lobster (or shrimp) for me!!! Yeah!!

No secrets from you gals......you know everything.

Just ordered a camcorder. We're going to visit my Dad next week. AFter a long long long thinking process, I think we need to go and say our goodbyes. I hope that he can pull through,...but I need to know in my heart that he held the girls & that I was there for him. It's a 15 hour trip one-way.......it's going to be a furious ride, but a necessary one. It'll be nice to have video of our visit for the future.

Hi
Kara is down for her last little power nap of the day.
Melanie your dinner sounds great! How many years?? I am so sorry about your dad. Im sure seeing the girls will make him very happy. 15 hours..uggghhh!!!
Jen-my dh would of taken a pic of me like that too!!! I love veggie chili..may make some for friday night! I made pea soup today..made broccoli soup yesterday. I have a freezer stocked with split pea barely soup, and lentil veggie soup too.

We were supposed to go get shots tomorrow BUT I changed the appt to next Tuesday..purely selfish reasons...it was at 9:30 MY WORKOUT TIME!

Waves to everyone

I have done awesome with no sugar today
so far
nat pb/ww toast
orange
kashi go lean
pea soup, string cheese, kashi crackers
nuts
diiner will be Tilapia with julliene zuchinni and carrots steamed in parch paper..and brown rice...starting the meal with a cup of broccoli soup.
snack will be oatmeal with walnuts.

Susan, thanks for posting your menu. I enjoy reading what others eat! So, you are eliminating pure sugar? It'll be tough for the first couple days, then you'll be fine. I only eat sugared foods once or twice a week......and for the most part I don't even miss it! I might have some cheesecake tonight. I'm debating if I want to have pop? Nahhh I'll just have chocolate milk....that way I won't feel bad about the cheesecake (or fries). ;)

Our dinner was good, but I'm a bit scared to get on the scale tomorrow! LOL This is what I ate: salad, 3 onion rings, 2 glasses of water....lobster, NYSteak (w/sauted mushrooms), 7 waffle fries, chocolate milk......snickers cheesecake w/caramel & whipped topping.:eek::eek:

It was nice to celebrate with my man though! Hee Hee

I'm contemplating going to MOPS tomorrow. It's 90 minutes long & brand new to our area. Jadon & the girls would go with me. Jadon is very shy & the girls I'd keep with me. Hmmmmmm. Am I strong enough? Maybe i'll wait and see how much sleep I get first b4 making my decision!

Melanie-glad you had a nice dinner..sounds very yummy!!! Our dinner was awesome too! The fish was a hit..I will post the recipe. We had sweet potato instead of brown rice. I just had my oatmeal/walnuts. I have done great today! Melanie-I also like seeing what others eat. I am not going to bake for 6 weeks..I usualy bake something 3 or 4 times a week AND eat it...and dh and I LOVE ice cream...we are not eating that for 6 weeks. Bascially Im staying away from crap sugar.
K is in bed, Haley headed that way...me too after American Idol.
See you chicks in the morning

You girls are so good. I am gaining a few pounds here and there and know it is because I am beign too casual about what I eat. Boo on me. I think it is because I am so tired, and when I am, I just eat crap. My hubby has pneumonia and both my kids are sick and I am getting it now. Yuck. I am so selfish. I do not mind getting sick but do not want to miss my sanity saving workouts... Last night John slept from 10 till 5am, but my other son was up every half hour with a sore throat and congestion. He gets medicine tonight. I love you Benadryl. Ahhh.
I went to the OB today for my follow up appointment finally. Why can't she tell me I look great? I wish people would say that more in public, and with out the safety clause about having just had a kid.
Melanie- 18 years, wow lady! I hope I still get steamy 8 years from now. Hope the girls sleep and you either get a little romance or some good ellicptical.
Susan- YOU HAVE AMAZING WILLPOWER! Please post the recipes from tongiht. I love getting new recipes.
Allison- Miss you lady. Hope youa re all feelign better. Cannot wait to try the recipe that you posted. My fat butt will eat them up!
Jen- Hear you on the sleep. I am so scattereed and tired lately. I hav eto ask my hubby what day of the week it is. Tee hee. Hope James gives you big smiles and love tonight.
Off to bathe the family and heavily medicate my hubby, mildly medicate Jimmy and rock my stuffy john. I want to shave my legs. You know how you miss a spot over and over? I have one that I think I could braid.
Also, who likes asparagus? Asparagus season starts in a few weeks, and I have AWESOME recipes for it if you want.
Outta here will read posts while I feed later.
Waves and sorry to have been gone.

Christine~ Ick, girl. You got alot on your plate! Sick DH can be the worse! and it's so hard to see our weeone's sick. :( I like asparagus! Yes, please post your recipe!!! Oh, and what weights did u get?

Susan~ good job on your clean eating! You know, it is said that the best part of the eating treats is the first couple bites, and after that it's not as good. I can relate as I remember that cheesecake tonight. The first bites were divine, then it was just a matter of finishing it so it wasn't wasted. *sigh* Oh well, I don't eat much of that crap nowadays. Susan, I'm curious as to why you picked sweet potato over brown rice? They both seem like good clean eating options?

Allison~ i"m not going near your recipe until my weight is gone. ;)

Jen~ are you able to get some workouts in? I forget, did you get STS Cardio?

Melanie- 18 years, wow lady! I hope I still get steamy 8 years from now. Hope the girls sleep and you either get a little romance or some good ellicptical.

A little romance or some good elliptical! This made me laugh out loud!!

Drew is 5 months today. That went by in the blink of an eye. He's eating solids now -- loves carrots, bananas, sweet potatoes, apples, and even green beans! I just bought some freezer things and pulled out my baby food puree cookbook (which I used like twice with Ella LOL). Will start making and freezing tomorrow :)

Okay -- I did it. What, you may ask? I did STS Meso 1, Week 1, Disc 1 yesterday, and STS Hiit 40/20 today :D Tomorrow it's Disc 2. I figured I at least need to try getting it done. :) Christine, I haven't tried 30/30 yet, but I thought 40/20 was tough. I couldn't do all the exercises. And truthfully, I am afraid of fast feet so I skipped those and the butt jumps, as I figured those would be beyond my level of coordination and strength LOL STS Disc 1 wasn't too bad, but Cathe is waaaaaay to push-up happy. One of my six month goals is to do a push up on my toes; I am a knees girl at this point. Good to have goals, right?!

Susan, I am in awe that you gave up sugar *snap* just like that! I hope Kara naps well tomorrow. It gets so frustrating when the babies won't stick to a schedule, right? Don't they understand that we make plans for their nap times?!?! But that's awesome that Kara woke up right when you finished your workout. I love it when the timing works out perfectly :)

Jen, Drew has 'graduated' from his car seat -- to his vibrating seat ;) From there, we'll transition to the crib. Glad you have the pregnancy mystery to keep work a bit exciting! As for Aunt Flo, I got mine at exactly 10 weeks post-partum. It was nice to have a year-long break, but I'm pretty happy to no longer be pregnant -- haha.

Christine, glad you made DH go to the doc's office. I hope your boys are on the mend soon, and that you are able to get some sleep so that you can beat the icks before they really grip you. I'm jealous you can even work out while John is awake. Drew gets too fussy too fast (though he's getting better).

Melanie, so did you like Core Fusion? Since it's toning/stretching with light weights, I'm not sure if I can do them on days between heavier weight workouts. What do you think? Sounds like you had a great dinner! I am very sorry to hear that your dad's prognosis is not better. I don't envy the 30-hour RT drive, but it will mean so much to all of you, now and later.

Last night, I made a yummy parmesan chicken and rice dish with roasted veggies. Tonight it was a taco soup with lots of beans and veggies. Tomorrow I have to make a carrot soup (to use up some carrots).

I did well with my eating today, until tonight. I derailed myself quite nicely -- chocolate, of course.

And Christine, I *LOVE* asparagus. Please share! Here's one of my favorites. (Oh, and I finally PM'd you my address!)

I eat at least 15 spears by myself :)

Roasted Asparagus with Balsamic Browned Butter

Morning
You ladies were chatty last night!!! So far so good ont he sugar! I am not going nuts like worrying about the tiny bit in my cereal. I never add sugar to cereal etc. And my meals are usually clean..its the extra crap I eat. I am a dessert person.always have been. I usually eat a 80 cal fudgicle for dessert. 80 cals isnt bad but I am sick of needing something sweet after a meal. Im hoping my cravings go away! I didnt have a problem at all yesterday. Dh is doing great too. Here is the recipe from last night. Friday night Im making a new shrimp recipe..I'll post it too.

http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/melissa-darabian/fish-en-papillote-recipe/index.html

Melanie-I love brown rice but Haley and Paul not so much so I decided on sweet potato. I only eat brown rice, but dh prefers white so I usually make both. Did dh sweep you off your feet last night???

Allison-I love asparagus too..Thanks for posting the recipe!!! Youre right..dont these babies know we have a life???? What are they thinking! Good job on your workouts!!! I need your carrot soup recipe! Are the solids helping drew sleep more?? Kara's dr is adament about only breastmilk until 6 months..then "try" cereal. So far Kara seems very satisfied with her "meals" and is a little chubbo..so Im hanging in there for 2 more months. I can't beleive Drew is 5 mo already!

Christine-sorry you guys are not feeling well. Figures that John sleeps but Jimmy didnt! Why does that always happen!

K is waking up..she did ok last night...7:30-11:30...then 3:30..its 6:30 now...could be worse!

Jen-HI have a great day!
Pricilla-Hi havea great day!
