Sunday Morning Fun: Movies You Blush to Love!

We've done this kind of thread before and it's always fun!! So, what movies to you *love* much to your own embarrassment?

I'd have to say:

OVERBOARD with Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn. I've seen it 100 times and it cracks me up every.single.time.

THE CUTTING EDGE with Moira Kelly and DB Sweeney. I just adore it.

Fess up, peeps. :D

There are many: Dirty Dancing (I can recite practically the whole movie!), The Princess Bride, Grease I and II, 16 Candles. Good stuff:)

Masada, the early 80s mini-series with Peter O'Toole and Peter Strauss.

I loved it as a kid and was positively giddy when it came out on DVD. It's so cheesy by today's standards, and many people don't even know what the heck I'm talking about if I mention it. Loved the book too.

My absolute favorite is Young At Heart with Doris Day and Frank Sinatra. I love, love, love that movie.

My others are Tammy and the Bachelor with Debbie Reynolds and a young and sexy Leslie Neilsen, The Parent Trap (the original), Pollyanna, Adventures in Babysitting, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, Saturday Night Fever and Uncle Buck, and Grease.

Does anyone remember a really old Johnny Depp movie called "Private Resort"? -- believe me, it was a dumb movie that I'm sure he just did for the money... but he's so cute in it, and if I catch it on cable, I always stop what I'm doing and watch it.

I am not blushing but I love Legally Blonde with Reese Witherspoon. Saw it in the movies and most have watched 3 or 4 more times on TV.

I love all of those, but don't blush about any of them - especially Grease II- it rocks, and I can't understand why it hasn't won an Oscar yet! Dirty Dancing is my second favourite movie of all time (#1 is Mr. Holland's Opus).

Finding Nemo
Galaxy Quest
Down With Love

I could go on and on as I am a major movie buff. I have quite a collection and I have over 200 on my NetFlix list that I need to watch!

For some reason I could watch Galaxy Quest over and over and over and laugh every time they have to go through that chop-a-block mechanism, complaining about the show's writers. I also love Bridget Jones' Diary and watch it every time it is on.

If we are talking about movies we would not want to admit...
Best Little Whore House in Texas<---I think that is right...Dolly Parton and Burt Reynolds
I love Dolly Parton:eek:
She makes fun movies

Movies I love (but probably should be embarrassed about) are Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing, and Sixteen Candles. There are a lot of movies (that I don't have to be embarrassed about) I could just watch over and over, and over...

Carrie

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the "Original" and still the best!). I saw it last week on TV and watched the whole thing! I'm such a sap.

Sometimes they play an old rerun of Foul Play with Goldie Hawn, Chevy Chase, and Dudley Moore. So goofy, but sooo good. Goldie and Dudley were classics in this movie. Oh and I can't even tell you how many times I watched My Cousin Vinny. Joe Pesci was just too good, and the dopey judge! I laugh just thinking about it.

Definately Wayne's World. I practically know every line by heart and I found it just as amusing the 20th time I watched it as I did the 1st.

Next on my list is Napolean Dynamite. To me that movie is genius

oh, and i also invited my nieces and nephews to the movies so i could see the Brady Bunch Movie and relive my childhood. It was a full house with all the adults laughing and the kids thinking we were mad. i don't know what i'll do if they come out with the Patridge Family Movie and my babies are all grown up!

I adore Galaxy Quest even though as a sci-fi geek it hits a little too close to home.:D

I also love Meatballs. Anyone remember this Bill Murray classic? :D
