Wow, we are really active today!
ColleenK, I have read Hunger Games and don't really care for them. Sorry. Many people do like it, including son 1 and sister. We have the movie at the moment but haven't had a chance to watch. I guess I don't like postapocalyptic stuff. I'll let you know what I think of JenLaw.
I haven't tried kombucha. Been having chia seeds the past few months though.
A 35lb kettlebell? Wow. And that metabolic routine you described? Intense. Sounds exhausting! You have a lot of energizer bunny in you too!
When you say ostrich eggs, I almost gag. Because I'll never forget an old episode of Amazing Race when the contestants had to eat a whole bunch of ostrich eggs. Yuck!
Carolyn, no Larabars at Costco (only Clif) but Stop & Shop has them 10/$10 right now. No banana flavor at all! Anyway, I bought 10 of them, mostly the ones with 2-3 ingredients; hope I like them
. I noticed the base and recurring ingredient in most of them is dates.
I already have a 2.5 lb bag of dates on the counter!
ColleenD, welcome to my life! I've been trying to find a good replacement for milk for a while, but nothing comes close to its richness. And I do have a bit of lactose intolerance. I have tried soy (my body doesn't tolerate the estrogen--too bad because it has the most protein
), almond, and coconut, in aseptic containers. Just last week it occurred to me to try almond and coconut milk in the refrigerated section, and what do you know? The almond milk is more palatable. I only use it for cafe mochas and have not tried it as cream in my coffee or on cereal. Today I found an almond/coconut milk combo! I sort of made one of my own last week when I ran out of one and mixed in a bit of the other. It tasted decent.
I hate cutting out greek yogurt since it has so much protein and good for you probiotics, so I'll try to eat it every so often. And I have to have half and half or cream in my coffee (which I only drink every so often).
Let's just say that I try to go vegan, but it's so very difficult with a family to shop and cook for.
Mary, nice going continuing STS after the interruption. As for apple-picking, we usually go Columbus Day weekend, but honestly, we should go more often. There is absolutely no substitute for apples fresh from the orchard. But the crowds are daunting, and the distance too, I suppose.
Marie, my first delivery failed to progress so I was induced. I don't know whether one way is more painful than another, since you'll be in a hazy pain fog regardless.
I had 2 c-sections.
