Hello ladies!
Today I did Athletic Training.
It's funny because I just realized today that for the past several months I've been choosing the leg cardio express premix on that one. I haven't done the whole workout since probably December. I forgot how good the upper body was in that one and the fact that there is even core work at the end! Good stuff! I like how well rounded that workout is. I really need to do the whole thing more often!
Grandma is back home again. It's such a tough balance between her need for the coumadin (to prevent stroke, she's had several mini ones) and the GI bleeding from the diverticulosis. I'm not sure they knew what they were going to do exactly if the bleeding hadn't stopped. Hopefully it'll be okay for awhile at least.
Carolyn- I think it would be a good idea to have the doctor evaluate the knee, especially if this has happened before. Did they do an MRI when you went in before? That's what they did for me when they diagnosed the chondromalacia. It's good to rule out something even more serious like a torn meniscus or something. Do you ever use a knee brace when you workout? I often do, although I guess it's fairly controversial whether or not they actually prevent further injury. I just know it feels better sometimes to wear it. I have this one that supposedly helps keep the patella tracking properly and it's fairly open so it doesn't get really hot. Sometimes you have to try out different doctors if the one you had last time didn't seem to know what he/she was doing. It's amazing how useless some of them can be!
Betty- I feel for you working out in humidity! That's the worst! I did Afterburn on Saturday and Mark wouldn't turn on the AC. Trying to suck wind when the wind in question is heavy and wet is NOT good! I just didn't feel like I could get enough oxygen in my lungs!
I'm so glad to hear your son is enjoying STS! That's so great! I really hope I can get my kids to enjoy and like working out when they get older. As of now, of course, that constant kid energy is keeping them fit!
Marie- love the ultrasound picture! When we had the one done with Dylan you could see him sucking his thumb! Unfortuntely, that's a habit I still catch him doing to this day!
This morning, I went to wake him up and my big 7 year old kid was sleeping with his thumb in his mouth!
Jean- I'm so glad your shoulder, neck and back are still doing okay! I feel like I lost strength too, even though I've been doing STS every other week. I just don't feel like I can lift as heavy as I did when I stopped Meso 3 since I do lighter weights on my circuit weeks. I also notice a difference when I'm not drinking my protein shakes or eating too many carbs versus protein. It's crazy how hard I have to work to be strong! My arms still look okay, though, so I'm trying not to sweat it too much. I'll just have to keep working within my ability I guess!
Whew, this post got long!
Better get something useful done!
