STS first time!

Missy, sorry you didn't get a good night sleep. Didn't either. I think it was the rain. It's humid and raining here today.

Colleen---Your are 100% right on the diet....I do good except at night like Carolyn..my go to snack.....those Skinny Cow ice cream sandwichs....they are sooooo good!!! I love em!

I have been doing light cardio...walking (due to knee) and BB at night for several days....I am waiting on the others from dd.....once I receive them...I am going to do the rotation Leah has for them...and see what happens. (Along with my morning cardio)

:D

Thanks, I think I will start with CrossTrain! Just the right length! Where is the 108-day program listed? Inside the box? Haven't opened it yet.. It's not on the site, that I can quickly see.

I can sure lose some of the pudge on my belly. Excess skin on thighs & calves too.

It has been sprinkling since I went out to plant some stuff. Honestly, nothing before!
I guess we'll be getting that tropical humidity you gals farther south seem to have.

Colleen, you are so right about the eating. As dedicated as I am to fitness and diet, it's so frustrating to see that it doesn't give me a cut physique like I would like.
Carolyn, I eat lots of nuts too! And lots of dried fruit! Too much sugar??

Back to making ds1's bday card. Must mail it tomorrow! Who knows how long international mail takes! I think when I sent postcards from Italy, it took ~10 days. Nobody noticed here at home, so I had to guess. Sheesh.

Betty----Nuts are really good for you if you eat only (1) portion.....and as for dried fruit...they are really high in sugar, so watch potion size....I occasionally put dried cranberries and walnuts or cashews on a salad but only a handful...:D my 2 cents for the day! :p

Carolyn...I am in the same boat....the walking isnt enough for me either...I am trying different stuff...but now my stupid knee hurts after a 1 mile run....its aweful...I think maybe after a round of bb...I am going back to LIS and see if this works for cardio with walking....I just dont want to hurt my knee worse by trying to run....even though thats what I want to do!

I just cant give up my skinny cow in the summer time...I do better at night when its cold outside....hehehe

It's been so long since I with any if those workouts. What if you just used lights weights with CSS? It would help keep your hear rate up but wouldn't be too hard your muscle since you just did HC.

Don't forget spinning girls. Those are great to get the heart rate up. Missy, are you enjoying spinning? I don't recall you talking about it lately.

Nuts can add up quick when it comes to calories. I usually have a LaraBar (usually some sort of home made one) as my morning snack and the a rice cake with PB for my afternoon snack. Then that's it for nuts for the day.

Oh one thing that REALLY helps but is so hard is to do - not have any starchy carbs at dinner. No rice or potatoes., etc. Keep it to salad and vegetables and protein and good fat. Have the starchy carbs at breakfast and lunch.

Carolyn, sorry you didn't sleep well. That exciting about the game. Good luck!

I slept funny last night and my neck is sore today. No workout this am but I'm going to walk at lunch today.

Not much to say this morning. Just tired and feel run down....

Have a good day.

Good Morning...yesterday afternoon we had massive rain at our house....when I got home from work....we had water standing and rushing everywhere....we had a little damage in our corn plants...but everything else did okay.....thankfully!

Last night I did a Zuzka workout....with weights...and I really enjoyed it. I havent lifted weights in a while....I forgot how much I enjoyed it. After the intense workout....I was talking with my husband about exercising....and I have come to the conclussion that hard/intense workouts I thrive on.....if only my knee would let me do them all the time....so I have decided I need to alternate them with easier, joint friendly workouts.....I just dont want to lose my hard earned muscular arms....they are not as defined as they once were....Gotta work on them.....along with my tummy.

As for diet...I was good all day yesterday, and I have a good start to today....lets see if I can be good 2 days in a row!

As for spinning....I am definately going to be incorporating it into my sched....just have been lacking time....I have been so busy....not alot of time lately...but that will all change now....I was trying to get some outside stuff/barn chores done before it gets above 95 degrees.....and this week it will....tomorrow thru friday they are forcasting our high to be 97-98 degrees....so my outdoor time is coming to an end.

Carolyn...I know how you feel being sleep deprived....I almost didnt make it through the day yesterday....but I slept like a baby last night.. Congrats on the ab doms....yeah!!!

Today...I am walking with my coworker at lunch...so I will get in 2 miles...

Be back in a few....

Soooo sleepy but loved the rain overnight. Very saturated today and it will continue cool and showery.

Didn't you have a walk planned this morning, Carolyn? Get thee to the basement.
Sorry about your bad sleep.

Errands to do. Still haven't opened UY.

Okay.....the last few times I have struggled with my knee with the aches....I ended up going to chiropractor and getting pelvis aligned....I think this may be my issue again...

Carolyn....do you do exercises for this problem to? I think I remember you saying your pelvis was mis-aligned too....

:confused::mad::confused::mad:

Just finished my 2 mile walk, I would have walked further but my coworker was tired.....it was hot....but I feel great.....:p

Just checked tracking on deep discount....my package was delivered today....So excited....new workouts when I get home...hehehe....which one do I do today? Lower/Upper/Core....decisions decisions....:p

Off he went in a wet shirt! If dh didn't have to be so anal and be EARLY every time, then the shirt would've been totally dry. DS was a sweet heart as usual and said it was fine. He is seriously the best little boy. I hope he stays this sweet. I can't imagine him any other way.
Stay tuned to the teen years...;)

brb

Carolyn, it sounds like you have a sweet, calm boy. Isn't that the best? That is just my type of kid. Boys seem to be even-keeled, whereas girls have highs and lows? I wouldn't know what to do with myself if there is a bounce-off-the-wall child around. I would be horrified.

I can't keep it straight between TTM and CF because they're so similar. One has a bunch of Tabatas, which means intense jumping.

I, too, need my sweetie treaties. Lately though, I haven't been craving nearly as much sweets. Isn't that awesome? I wonder if it's due to some of my dietary additions, like, chia, coconut oil, quinoa, etc. I want to say it's got to be the c.o..
I wish I could reduce the flab from years of sweets still glommed on to my body parts though:confused:.

We have a couple of guys changing our heater and water heater today and for the next few days. I'm not sure how I will work out tomorrow since they walk back and forth on the hallway, which passes the living room. I even hope dh can work from home tomorrow like today.

I found a Nike running skort with pockets at TJM today. I ended up returning the pleated tennis skirt one from early in the year. We'll see how this one looks on. It costs more too.

I notice that my knees don't hurt like when I'm doing Cathe, so it's definitely her workouts which cause the pain. Without her workouts, even on my spin bike my knees don't hurt.

Carolyn, I understand the moodiness with DD. like your DD mine is extremely moody and I can't seems to keep her happy my DS on the other hand is so kind and sweet. They do balance each other out.

My DS out of no where will say to me "mommy I love you" or "mommy you are pretty" just melts my heart.

DD can be loving too but usually on her terms. I just try to go with the flow. Oh the joys of motherhood.

Colleen, that just melts one's heart! So sweet! It is a testament to moms when boys are sweet and kind, right?;)
Little girls have hormones coursing through them from when they are very young. I was surprised to learn that, always thinking it was just around puberty. I want a little girl though.

Carolyn, thanks for the alignment tip.
