STS first time!

Good morning....just finished a zuzka workout and now on the treadmill.

Carolyn...zuzka has a zcut cardio series (dvd) ots 3 dvds with 12 workouts plus 3 ab workouts. She also jas a yoga dvd. I have both. They ate inexpensive. The workoits are between 10-20 minutes....but when done you are bright red from sucking so much air and literally drenched. You can also go to youtube....and she uploads a free workout callwd zwow every thursday for free..they are 10-40 min...this week will be #67....

My plan right now is a zcut in the morning woth treadmill or elliptical to equal an hour....and evening a zwow and cardio.....loving it! Ifs hardcore....but i can definatelly see a difference in my muscles....i am on day#10 today..... i will have tim take a pic of me and upload it today.

Be back in min.....

How's the upper body Betty? Can't wait to hear.

How's the knee Carolyn? How was the softball game?

Missy, you look fantastic. Glad you are liking zcuts. She does have an amazing body!!

Today was upper body day. I did 3 segments and still have to do abs. I ran out of time but will do them tonight. I'm feeling some good DOMS in my thighs from yesterday workout.

Marie, crazy how fast time can go by when you are working on a project. Sounds like you had a great DH.

Good morning!
I definitely have UB and ab doms!:D Not unbearable or anything. Just nice!

Missy, you look amazing!
Zuzka looks too hardcore for me! I'm veering away from anything that looks like it'll pound my body.

Marie, Shutterfly is very addictive! I enjoyed putting my Italy album together last year. What a treasure the B album will be! Wish they had something like this when my kids were little. It was still film!:D Remember good ole 35 mm??

Time to make oatmeal...

Incidentally, DeepDisc has UY at 37% off today. Lowest I've seen at $78. But still not low enough:D!

Okay....i was swamped today since it was end of month!

I just finished my zuzka zwow and now onto treadmill....

Gotta get everything done by 8....NCIS....left me hanging last week... cant wait another second to find out.

Carolyn....i am still on chaptet 1 of Brets book...every time i sot down to read....i get side tracked....maybe saturday i can read some more!!!

Bbl!

I'm still here. Just overwhelmed with all of the work I have to do. My sister gave me a queen size inflatable bed that she has had for a few years to sleep on . It did good the 1st few weeks but now I have to blow it up every night and I am almost on the floor in the morning. My husband stopped on the way home tonight and bought me a new one. The builder said they will doing drywall next week. That is very exciting.

Missy How exciting that your garden is growing already. Around these parts , we would plant around Mother's day. Your shoulders look fantastic. It's good to see you back on your full w/o routine.

Marie That is great that you were able to w/o with your Mother. I bet my Mother hasn't worked out one day in her life except for physical therapy. Those shutterfly books are nice. My sister gets those from her grandchildren.

Mary Enjoy your visit with your sister.

Colleen I am excited to hear how you like the Fitbit. That recipe looks good. I can't wait to get set up in my new kitchen and make some of these recipes you give us.

Carolyn I cannot w/o with just a book. I need a dvd. Good for you. Are you working with Cuda everyday? What is it that you don't agree with from the trainer? We won't be getting the last episode of the Following until Saturday night. The last thing I saw was the female FBI lady was buried alive. How scarey was that? I have also been reading all of the comments Natasha has said about Body Beast. I really enjoyed the program. I had more DOMS with him than with Cathe. It is old schoool exercises but he does them in a different manor than Cathe. I highly reccomend it if you want a new heavy weight w/o.

Betty I say go for UY for that price. I know you would enjoy it. Plus you get that extra 10% off. Plus free shipping.

Jean

Missy I read that Zuzka is co founder of Body Rock. Have you ever watched those on Youtube? Those girls are extremely hardcore and have fantastic bodies. There are a few people on the forums that do Bodyrock. You should give it a look.

Jean

I forgot to tell you all that my 12 year old Brussells Griffon has cancer in her mouth. When I took her in last week for her yearly , the vet noticed the inside of her right jaw was red as fire. She put her under and took some cells and sent them in for a biopsy. What she has is amelanotic malignent melanoma. She said the pronosis is guarded and will not last a year. She seems fine so we will watch her and I will know when it is time. This has not been my year for dogs. I had 6 in January and will probably have 3 in December.

Jean

Jean...yes she is from body rock...i have done those in the past....i just love her....she pushes me so far....and there free....i hook my tablet up to my tv in my gym....and its awesome.....

Jean....you are amazing....to do all the work in hour house....it will pay off in the end.....so excited for you to move in your new house!!!

Oh no Jean....im so sorry to hear that.....hugs to you!!! Just know you are giving them the best life....a loving home and medical care.....thats more than most have.....

Carolyn....my tablet has an HDMI port which I connect to TV..with HDMI cable....the workouts stay on YouTube forever!!!!

Hi everyone,
Loved reading all the posts.

Jean, I'm so sorry about your dog! You never know though. With lots of love... And coconut oil. Feed her some with her food. I will find the testimonials in my book and type it up for you.
I too laughed at your description of being on the floor by morning.:D Glad you have a new one now.

Carolyn, awesome on your doms! I'm not too clear on hip thrusts myself. Have only done them twice.
When will you do OP??

Colleen, that recipe sounds amazing! Thanks for thinking of me! I have yet to try anything so radical.
Yesterday I made potato kale sausage soup. Sans sausage.:D

Missy, you are an energizer bunny! Those workouts would slay me. I'm too old for such hardcore stuff.

On UY, I will hold out for $50 if it kills me. It just might. If I hadn't read about that price on VF, I wouldn't have known any different! It may be Black Friday before it happens again!
I need more time on XT anyway.

Tonight I stretched out after my 30 mins/7 mi on bike. It felt so good, especially with all the tightness after yesterday's BB. Prob should have spun yesterday too, since BB hardly was cardio.:D

Speaking of the other BB, I have never been a hardcore lifter. Have fun, Carolyn! Enablers!:D

It was a glorious day! Good night, all!

Carolyn---HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is a compact audio/video interface for transferring uncompressed video data and compressed/uncompressed digital audio data from a HDMI-compliant device ("the source device") to a compatible computer monitor, video projector, digital television, or digital audio device.[1] HDMI is a digital replacement for existing analog video standards.

Good Morning.....did my cardio this morning....

Questions....

In my search for a spin bike.... I find them with and without monitors??? Are they nec? Basically just tell distance, time, calories..... they are not on all..... What are your thoughts on them?

Betty---I understand wanting to wait till it goes lowest...but....what is it never gets back to $50.... you would have been wiating so long for nothing????? Think about it.....:p

Good morning.

Missy, the monitor is a must at least for me. I'm a data girl. I love to know distance and cadence. I don't reply on calories from the monitor as they are not accurate. I use my HRM for that. All depends if you like that type if feedback.

Speaking of data. I'm loving the fitbit. Does make me get up at work and take more walks. The last two days I've hit 9500 steps. Goal is 10000. I've also worn It to bed and it crazy how it knows when you are awake and Asleep. So far my patterns is I sleep very well until about 3:30 4:00 then I toss and turn until its time to get up. I already knew that but it's cool to see it. Now how to resolve that issue? I'm happy I got it. My main goal was to be more active during the day. I was definitely not as active as I should be so I'm making more of an effort.

Today was Paul Katami rhythm ride. I really enjoy this one even though its just a coached ride (no visuals) it reminds me of a live spinning class that I absolutely LOVE. I did 15.5 miles and burned 400 calories.

Jean, so sorry about you dog. You never know. My parent have a dog that had cancer and they say he would survive and it's been over 2 years now and he is doing well. Hang in there. Too funny on the air mattress. Hope the new one is better.

Betty, try the recipe you will be surprised how good they are. Go for UY. You too Carolyn. You will love it. My biggest problem is how to fit it in more. I try to have one day a week for just yoga or squeeze it in after the kids are in bed and DH I working out. Did you decide to get the other BB DVDs?

I have some good ole DOMS from the upper body segments from yesterday.

Carolyn, what are you going to do today? Give the beast a try if you want to get back into the heavy weights. I don't miss the heavy weights. I'm just loving the results from BB. Her method really does work.

Happy May everyone! It's cold out today here in MN. Summer was just teasing us this past few days apparently.

I survived Tabatacise yesterday. Today was AB and Core 2. I've been walking everyday too. Love getting my steps in. Looks like today's walk may be at MOA though.

B and I have been filling our time with play dates and storytime! So in love!

We are headed on vacation today when Tony gets off work at 1. We are going to Duluth first to spend the night at my mom's and then Thu night we will get a hotel on Lake Superior. Fri we are headed to Miliacs for the weekend. It's Tony's grandpa's bday so we are getting the whole family together. Super excited :)

Alright gotta hop in the shower before B wakes up.

Have a good day everyone!

Hi friends!
Still sore, and cranky and crabby to boot. I pulled out many Cathes before finally settling on one, but unenthusiastically. Ended up doing the cardio-only premix of LICircuit, then a premix of YR, which is just the stretch/flexibility piece that I need. I didn't remember that since I've only done it a handful of times.
I guess I am still Cathe burned out.

Don't hate me but in LIC, Cathe was not as, shall we say, round-chested, as she is in XT. (No maliciousness intended.) Has anyone noticed? What's her secret? Is it weights and pushups?

Missy and Colleen, I totally hear you guys on UY. Really I do.;)

Sorry, Carolyn, I can't advise you on BB there, but I know that's not my kind of workout. Too 'yikes' for me!

Missy, I'm also a data girl and like the screen on my bike. I stare at that thing as the minutes (slowly) tick by.;) Like Colleen, I don't go by the calories. I just look at the minutes and miles. I don't have a cadence track. (How would that work?)

Marie, did I hear correctly about a foot of snow in MN??
Nice job on Tabatacise! I almost pulled out SB but didn't feel like it. Don't feel like lugging out any equipment either!
Enjoy your mini-vaca. It's so nice you guys get out and about with B. We were hermits, to use Carolyn's word.

Colleen, that Fitbit sounds amazing how it can track while you sleep!
Nice job getting all those miles in! Wow.

Jean, this is one quote from Coconut Cures. The author quotes a pet owner who uses coconut oil when making her own dog food. "I use it in making the kibble, and on it just before I give it to them. I have noticed a remarkable difference in their health, as seen in their eyes, energy levels, coats, etc. The two males had recently been diagnosed with cancer, and now they are cancer free. My holistic vet reports that he has never seen cancer gone so quickly! By the way, that same vet is now a believer in coconut oil and he regularly prescribes it for all of his patients." Another quick two blurbs mentioned separate pets with diabetes and IBS which were able to get off insulin and prednisone (respectively).

Carolyn, babble on. Love to hear it all. Nice job on disc 14! Getting back on the horse with a vengeance!

I better go do something.

Marie Have a fun, safe trip.

Betty Do you know how much coco oil to add to the dog food? I have a fresh jar I have never opened. I will definitely give it to her. My vet is big on Chinese medicine. Today she gave me a bottle of "Stasis Breaker" and a bottle of "Wei Qi Booster". It seems like alot of vet use these for cancer dogs.
