STS first time!

Marie, Oh my gosh, how cute is that!!!

I did BS Bis & Tris yesterday, and almost 1 hr of Drill Max this morning. I am really enjoying these older workouts, but they are so long! Anything over an hr is too long on a weekday morning for me, but I still got a great workout in. And yesterday was gorgeous out, and I fit in a walk at lunch so I felt energized in the afternoon. I have been trying to recruit coworkers to go with me but no takers so far, which I find very strange but oh well.

Missy, you sound like your old self now that you are doing double workouts. The Energizer bunny!

Betty, I have never done any of those extreme premixes, great job!

Carolyn, hope your trip home is/was uneventful.

Betty, your oatmeal sounds amazing. How do you make it? I love oatmeal. I just make mine with coconut milk, cinnamon and lately blueberries and raspberries. I will mix in vanilla as well and to with just a little drizzle of pure maple syrup.

Today was 20 minutes in the bike and 30 minutes in the rebounder.

Missy, good job on your workouts this week. Glad you are happy and back to your workouts you enjoy.
 
Thanks Mary and Colleen....it is so strange....to think I do so well on such a massive workout schedule....I just am happy and more energetic.....crazy! :p

My knee seems to do okay with me wearing a brace while on treadmill!!! To think this is day 5 of me being back to double workouts....and I already see a difference! YEAH!!!!

I had to go to HELL-MART this morning for the office....yuck! But, I survived! Now at work....and have lots to do today....tomorrow we get off at noon.....YEAH.....it is rose show in our town....so most businesses close early so people can go....I will be going home....to lay in the sun and possibly get some color....I am sporting a pale white ghostly color at the moment....gotta get some color! ;) I will lay out in my side yard and my cats will keep me company....its too funny...they lay right along side of me....with the occasionally...hey look at me...I right here...I need so love! LOL

Not much going on. Just did errands on a nice, sunny, coolish spring day.

Mary, nice going on DM. It is a tad too long! 60 mins would be better. And for going out on a walk yesterday, since it hit the 70s. How odd that no one wants to walk with you.:confused:

I checked out Zuzka. She seems tough. I'm veering away toward softer workouts.:D

Colleen, I soak steel cut oatmeal the night before, and then cook it for 5 mins right before I eat. Then I add all those ingredients. (I forget to do the soaking at least once a week, so in that case I soak it in the morning for 2-3 hrs before cooking and it's fine.) I hold back on the maple syrup since I don't crave it then, but believe me that maple syrup gets used other times!

Yesterday was 4DS Kickbox. I finally finished that rotation lol! This morning was UY Crosstrain. I'm at work now. I picked up a shift. With the bonus they are offering I figured I might as well. Tony works at 5. He picked up too. We are determined to pay off my dang school loans this year. So sick of them. So much of our monthly payment goes straight to interest it makes me ill. Ok enough of that.

B had his 6 month appt yesterday and he is a strong, healthy boy. He weighs 16lb 6oz which is the 25%. His length his 26.5in which is 39% and his head is 17.5 which is 68%. He got more shots too. His reaction was so delayed. He didn't even notice the first one and then a couple seconds later he screamed. Poor baby :( And check it out....last night he slept 8 hours! That was amazing! Fingers crossed it continues :)
 
Betty, what do you soak your oats in? Water? Do you boil the water and then let them soak? I soak old fashioned oats in coconut milk in the fridge at night. I then put it I a bigger bowl in the morning and pop in the microwave for 3 minutes. They come out perfect. I've tried soaking seal cut and cooking in the am but I haven't gotten the consistency and oat to liquid ratio down. I do 1/2 c oats to scant 1c coconut milk. In the morning most of the liquid has been absorbed.

Missy, what type of table did you end up getting?
 
Good Evening.....just finished my killer workouts.....Zuzka workout (15) and a Jillian Micheals 6 weeks to a 6 pack (35 min)......I was drenched when done...

Colleen---I got a Lenovo tablet (10 inch), and I love it.....I also got a hdmi cable so I can hook it to my tv in my gym....it is absolutely amazing!!!! :eek:

Today was Ballet Body. 3 lower body segments, 1 upper body and 1 abs segment done. My muscles feel nice and tired.

Does anyone have a fitbit? I'm thinking of getting one. I need to be more active during the day. Wondering if it would make me more conscientious of getting more step in. Anyone interested in a challenge?
 
Yeah Betty of CF and stretch max!!! I need to really stretch too. I've been craving yin yoga but haven't gotten a chance to do it yet.

Carolyn, glad you are back. Can't wait to hear about your new program.
 
Hello my friends....im off for the weekend! Had to work front desk today.....

This morning was a zuzka workout and 45 minutes on treadmill....now i am on elliptical....busting out my cardio before tim gets home....we are going to tallahassee for dinner tonight and then to sports authority!!!

Colleen....i used the fitbit when i first started losing weight...it really motivated me...i was always trying to increase my steps....i loved it!

Colleen, no Fitbit, but BB UB is on its way. Finally! I'll get it tomorrow! Do you have that one? The dvd? (I did wear a pedometer for 2-3 yrs, obsessively, not forgetting a day!)
On oatmeal, the night before, I boil 4 oz of water, turn it off, and pour in 1/4c steel cut oats. Let it sit overnight on stove, covered. The next day, I add 4 more oz of water to it, bring it to a boil, and then turn down to simmer for 5 mins, before turn it off and loading it up with all those healthy goodies. I make just one serving at a time, and like that steel cut oats are more firm, like brown rice. I can't stomach the mushy slop of traditional oatmeal:confused:. (Sorry if I offend anyone.)

Marie, do you think the 8 hrs sleep was from the shots?:eek: I hope it's the start of longer sleep hours.
I love the well-baby stats! Used to love it when the pediatrician did them.
How's the solids coming along? Have you heard people are not feeding rice cereal?
Nice job being proactive about paying student loans off. They're a pain. Imagine the kids going to college nowadays. How will they do it if their starting salaries won't be anywhere near what they pay for a year for college??

Carolyn, let's hear about the rest of your trip and Bret. DH gleefully back at work?:eek: How did the kids enjoy the experience? First time on a plane, right?

I am so excited you get BB Betty. Did you get it yet? I don't have the DVD just the downloads. I will get them once I am done with the BBPSI. I am picky with the consistency of my oatmeal as well.

Carolyn, good point on the fitbit. I do not need to lose any weight. Probably makes sense to spend on something else. I lived your pictures. Looks like you had a fantastic time!! The spin workout I got from Paul is just a coach ed spin that you listen on your iPod.

No workout for me yet. I am at swim lessons with the kids. My DD is driving me crazy she keeps complaining she is bored while she is waiting her turn. Why can kids just be patient and sit and watch what's around them? If course I'm one to talk as I sit here on my phone.... I'm hoping to get a walk in later this afternoon. It going to be a beautiful day.

I know I should know but I can't figure out what BB is? Body Beast, Ballet booty?

Beautiful day today! I did Intensity this morning with B&G abs on the ball. I think the first 30 minutes of intensity is harder than her Hiit! Very high impact too. Yesterday I did UY Vitality which is turning into a favorite. Then a co-worker asked to walk with me, yay! We walked 3 miles at a good pace. That part can be tough, I know someone else who likes to walk but she goes at a snail's pace, I can't stand that.

I have a fitbit and I love it. It counts my steps for the day, and I aim for 10000 steps a day. After Intensity I already had 5000. It makes me get up and walk around more during the day, because I can see how active I have been. Even my family was getting into it when we were on vacation and hiked in the rain forest, 17000 steps!

Oldest dd had to make up a day of school today - we are at the max and High school had an extra day off because of a gas leak one day. She was not happy this morning, can't blame her!
 
BB is ballet body (the one by Leah Sarago). Hmmm. Maybe I still do want a fitbit. I was thinking about getting the one. Which one do you have.

I can't wait to hear more about the program from Brett. I don't know how my dd can be so bored. It drives me mad.

Today I went for a 3 mile walk. Dd went with me for a mile then she was tired. I dropped her off at home and then walked to the grocery store to pick up a few things for dinner. After dinner I did yin yoga. It felt soooo good. Love that one.
