STS first time!

Good Evening..... I came home and walked some of this soreness out while watching Army Wives!

Guess What.....I sold my truck! Yes.....I did it! :D I posted it for sale on craigslist..... and I had over 20 people emailing me about it. The first person came and meet my husband in town and purchased it full price. I just got home from picking tim up. We dont like to bring strangers to our home as we are never here. So we decided to meet the person in town. Oh yeah....its gone....I had mixed emotions.....but I am happy I let it go.....I hadnt drove it in 3 weeks...so I am glad someone will be able to use it.:)

Now, I am off to shower....

Jean---You dream home will be ready in no time. Hope you mom feels better! Hugs!
 
Hello!

I am finding there is just not enough time in the day for all the things I have to do. Sunday we had all-day volleyball tournaments so I got nothing done and felt like I started the week behind. So last night I tried to catch up on weekend chores and paperwork. Still behind!

I did Cardio Supersets on Sunday. I haven't done that one is so long, and I actually found it difficult doing all the plank work on the disks. Then I had my yoga/stretching class at lunch, which I enjoyed I think because I was so tired. And this morning was UY Cardio, which is also definitely a strength workout. It was tough on my wrists, lots of planks and down dogs, but I felt so good when I was done! I am really enjoying doing yoga right now, and the mind/body connection in these workouts stays with me during the day.

Carolyn, sorry about the issues with your trip. Do you have AAA? They have a travel agency as part of membership, and we used it last year for our trip to Mexico and again for our upcoming trip to Puerto Rico. It would save you alot of time.

Colleen, glad you are feeling better. I don't notice any real changes from the 90 day xtrain rotation, but I'll know better when I get out my shorts and bathing suit. I feel like my lower body tightened up, but with upper body I should have increased my weights and I didn't make a big effort to do that. It was easier with STS where the program increased my weights for me.

Betty, I have never heard of lobster tail, sounds delicious. I like regular lobster tail too!

Missy, congrats on selling your truck!

Jean, sounds like things are progressing well with the new place, what fun!

Carolyn, it is hard planning vacations. DH told me about a site called kayak.com. That searches all the different sites and gives you windows to compare all your options. Maybe check that out. He used it to book a trip for a bachelor party he's going to to (don't get me started on that soap box). We did get a good deal though.

Jean, how exciting that the foundation is ready. I ordered a Manduka mat. Very excited to get it. Should be here Friday! Thanks for the sites on spinning. I heard of the suferest but not the other one. I need to preorder cathe's new spin before the end if the month.

Betty, with all the miles you are racking up you should give ride and cycle max a try. Just take it at your own pace. The lobster tail sounded good. I never heard of them either. I do love the seafood kind!

Mary, glad you are enjoying the yoga. After a tough rotation your body probably need the change of pace.

Hi Marie!

Today I did cycle max. I did 14 miles. My heart rate monitor has been acting up so I just ordered a new strap for it. Fortunately the straps are inexpensive.

So excited!!! I just ordered a pair of coach precription sunglasses!!!! I have been working extra hours with another dr getting them emr ready....my time paid off....just paid for my sunglasses! Now, I wait for them to come in.....1 week!:D:eek::p:)

Nothing exciting going on. Chicken stew in the crockpot. No 5-alarm spice this time, just regular curry.

Carolyn, I hope you had some luck with a travel agent. Does Sam's have a website and a travel section on a website? Costco has a great one, I hear.

Missy, how great someone bought your truck! That craigslist is amazing. My sis just did the same thing with her van. There are no shortage of buyers on that site. I've never utilized it before, as buyer or seller.

Jean, I readied the 10% thing at DD, for the day I see the rock-bottom price for UY, and I swear the price went up to $90 today, to make up for the 10% off. Is is just on my computer, or does anyone else get that price too?

I know so many people whose kids' activities take up a ton of time too. My kids have zero interest in doing anything, but it's maybe a blessing in disguise.

Colleen, is DH going to Vegas? People are doing these destination bachelor/ette parties and weddings nowadays! It's so expensive! It's bad enough that weddings already cost a down payment on a house! DH went there yrs ago for my bro's. My cousin went to Puerto Rico last summer and a friend is going to Rio this summer for them. Crazy!

I had never heard of lobster tail until very recently myself. I'm an oinker and bought two more:D. Very crispy flaky pastry shaped in a fat triangle, filled with sweet cream inside. Yum. No, I don't eat it all myself.;)
 
Just a quick hello....been so buay.....its freezing here....so i had to blanket the horses....after working till 5:30.....its trash night and i had to cook dinner and prepare lunches for tomorrow.....non stop....

Hopefully tomorrow is better!!!

Btw.....got an email....oxygen magazine ab special in on newstands....so i will be watching for it to hit stands at publix!!!

Shoot! I just had a nice post typed and left to pass some meds and came back and it's gone. Someone logged me off. I guess that's what I get for checking the forums at work. Not that I'm the only one who is on the internet. Evening shifts are pretty boring most of the time since the patients go to bed so early, unless we have sundowners of course. People study and get on facebook and all that stuff so I never feel guilty for checking the forums.

I did Imax 3 this morning. Not too much other than that. It was a lazy day before I had to head to work at 2.

Yesterday I did Athletic Step. Then B and I went to storytime at the library. It was so fun! We all read 3 books together and sang songs. Then the librarian who leads it always reads a book. Then they pull out a parachute and toys for the kids. B of course is too young for the parachute but eventually he will love it. Just so in love with being a mama :) I have so much fun!

Carolyn- Sorry about your trip. I hope you can reschedule soon.

Jean- Sounds like the house is coming along well :) So exciting.

Betty- I'm with you on the jumping. I feel like I'm destroying my joints. It's such a good calorie burner though. Conflicted!

Marie...yoyr right I did love my ttuck....but i love my jetta more!!!! I pulled up in a parking lot to pick Tim up after he sold the truck....and he said Im glad you decided to get the jetta...it is so classy....and you are so sexy in it! So sweet....my hubby!!!

Tonight we are going out to dinner with my fgiend snd her husbsnd......so i will rush home after work and squeeze in my evening workout before tim gets home!

Marie.....sounds like storey time was fun!!!" It will be so fun when b gets older to participate! I used to work in prek....and just loved the toddlers....they were so fun...the reactions and love!!! Aw!!! You have lots of fun to come!!!

TBT Total Body Express and Core 2 for me this morning. It's been so fun to just grab whatever workout I feel like and not follow a rotation. We will see how long I last with XTrain. Thinking maybe I should just do the 30 day.

B is snoozing in my arms right now. So in love :)

I work at 3 so I'm sure I'll be back later.

I don't know when was the last time but I plowed through LBB this morning (first time since I bought my high step, surely). What a killer! I couldn't complete some of those weighted barbell squats and lunges! Cathe went on and on! I just loathe high rep squats and lunges! (Carolyn, maybe you can do this one, omitting the brief bursts of cardio blasts.)

Carolyn, we haven't heard from you. The travel agency you're using must be smokin' if we look down from up in the sky;).

Jean, I know what you mean about those vocations being an art. We watch This Old House religiously, and there's something magical when I see those artists work. I personally love carpentry work.

Marie, you have so much fun ahead of you with a new child! New friends, new activities. And how special to see B learn and engage through it all! What do you think of music class for babies? If not now, toddlers? Both my sis' kids went to them, and my niece is so musically aware. She was humming from when she was very little and quite musical, so it was good for her.

Missy, thanks for being an advocate for the patient against the giant, uncaring, all-we-care-about-is-profit insurance company!

Jean, glad the dry wall work is coming along. My father in laws is fantastic as dry wall work. It truly is an art. Fitness equipment is my splurge to myself. I seem to be doing to much if it lately. But it keeps me working out so I guess it's ok!!!

Betty, DH is going to Chicago. I'm glad it's not Vegas but we both will be going to LA for the wedding. It's it long time friend of his who was is best man in our wedding. So yes it going to be expensive for us.

Carolyn, where are you? I'm curious to hear how you made out at the travel agency.

Missy, yeah for dining a new bathing suit. I need a new one this year. All of mine are too big!!!!

Marie, good job in your workout and enjoy you snuggle time with b. my son at 4 still loves to snuggle with mommy. I love it! My DD not so much :-(

Today I did cross training from UY. I am really loving UY. So glad I took the plunge. I thought Travis' voice would bother me but it actually really helps me get into my zone with yoga. Plus I always feel so stretch out and accomplished afterwards.
 
Slow day on the forums. Come on people give me some entertainment ;) All the patients are watching American Idol. Not really into that show.

Betty- Nice job on LBB. Bring on the DOMS! I would love to take B to a music class. There was a demo class last week but we missed it :( Tony sings and was always in musicals in high school. I would love for B to take after him in that aspect. This mama can't carry a tune and never played an instrument.

Colleen- I'm so happy you are enjoying UY. I couldn't agree more. I honestly think I may just do the 108 day sometime. I feel so good from it and never dread it. Glad to hear your son still likes to snuggle. I hope B is the same way!

Missy- Enjoy that new swimsuit my friend. You are going to look smoking sexy in it.

Jean- Glad the drywall is coming along. Tony's whole side of the family is so talented in any area of construction. Together they could definately build a house.

Thanks Betty! That is very sweet of you to say. I do absolutely love my job and especially working with the geriatric population :)

Carolyn- Way to book your trip. It's so much work but you're getting there. We have been researching Puerto Rico. So hard to decide where to go and where to stay. Must pull the trigger soon. Tony has still been juicing but only for breakfast. He found that the longer the juice sat out, even just a few hours, the worst it tastes. He also read that the benefits to the body decrease greatly, within minutes even. So crazy! That being said he has the next 2 days off and he is going to do all juice tomorrow.

Friday we both have off and we are going snowboarding :) So excited! We were going back and forth because quite honestly we would rather spend the entire day with B but we figured we might as well take advantage since it's the last weekend of the season. Plus I have Sat off and both Tony and I have Sun off with him and I have Mon too :) It's just so hard to be away from him. We are dropping him off at Tony's grandma's house on the way and then headed to Duluth. She lives about an hour away. She was soooo beyond excited to watch him. We will only go for 4 hours and then get to spend the rest of the day with him :) Excited!
 
Good Morning!

I did UY Strength this morning. Oh my, that was the toughest yoga workout I have ever done in terms of strength required. I had to take a break a few times to rest my arms and wrists. Colleen and Marie, what did you think of this one? I think I will be sore later.

Carolyn, so glad you booked your flight, I was afraid you might have to cancel your trip. It will be well worth the effort when you all arrive at your destination. Good luck finding a hotel.

Marie, enjoy the snowboarding with Tony. It is great you have family around to watch B.

Jean, the prom dresses are all long now thank goodness, the short dresses are way to short for my liking!

Betty, I hate those never ending lunges too, I always think of them when I think of LBB. I have not done that one in a while.
