STS first time!

Well the rain finally stopped....its a soppy mess outside.... i will be driving my truck again today....there is lots of standing water....and i drive over a creek to get to work....which was almost over the road yesterday???? Yuck....watching weather now....says we have had 20 inches of rain..... now the cold air is coming in.....droping down to 30....yuck!

Carolyn...hope your package arrives!

Gotta get moving...be back!

Good morning, my friends! It is sunny and feeling somewhat mild. To head to low 40s today. Awesome.
Last night I did 6 mi nonstop on the bike, then 28 mins of Foundations 1. Loved it. I watched it once through while on bike then stretched with it afterward. Felt so good! I felt impatient at the pace while watching, but it's actually perfect for stretching sore muscles, and the pace allows for in-the-moment focus. And I am sore from HSCh & bike in one day. Wow. I did 3 workouts yesterday!!!:D
Time to spit;)

Yup, a penny!;). Hopefully in March we'll see that rock-bottom price!
Have fun getting your snowshoes! I've been there too tracking packages and their ridiculous paths to reach my house. Chelmsford must be a big one; mine have been there.
RE: OP. I know it's not my imagination that my, ahem, morning breath is not as gross today. Not that I could blow on someone, but still. Much improved. And coconut oil is nice and mild.
I don't like how I end up on the opposite side when doing Foundations. He calls out left arm or whatever but I'm facing them and like to mirror-image their moves. If I close my eyes and follow his voice, I end up on other side! Happens not just with Travis.

Carolyn---So glad your snowshoes came! Enjoy! And congrats on being good and saying No to fzn yogurt!

At work....and busy busy!!!

Oh...I have thigh doms today....must do upper body tonight as tomorrow is bootcamp night!

Check back soon!

Marie---hope Tony is feeling better!;)

Marie, I forgot to answer your fasting question. I've never done it before but I can see why Tony feels lightheaded and tired. It's basically not much food, a lot of liquids, and withdrawal. Juicing fruit and veggies? I'm impressed! He's very much a modern man! (Downton!) How is he feeling now?
There are people who believe in juicing tons of veggies and fruits for high-density nutrition. I haven't quite reached that yet.
My sister really likes the Clean cleanse by Alejandro Junger. Actually, both my sisters have tried it but I'm not interested. You do get hungry, lightheaded, and have withdrawal headaches.

Carolyn, I understand why you feel hungry. That's not filling, but it's so good for you. I feel the same way about reaching bursting stage. I was more hungry today than normal, it seems. I wonder if it's the 3 workouts. Wow, iron willpower on the fro yo. High five!
Can't believe you went to the rink for the 10-min break. What a great mom!
Congrats on the snowshoes!!! Have fun with them!
Omg, go to your sister's house and look for your KPC! There might be a low-impact segment in there??

Jean, I too am surprised at how close you are to moving! That's exciting but, yes, so much work! Chip away at it a little at a time. You're going through the hardest part now.
No workout room?? No problem. UY (and meditation) and a mat.
I still want UY BADLY!;) (Yes, on the penny.)
Have fun with the decorator!

Carolyn, lots of snow for your snowshoes tomorrow!! Rain for me. Happy medium, don't you think?:D
Phew on KPC! Did you go over there?

Yes, Colleen and Mary, where are you? Marie is enjoying her weekend!

Honestly, I thought it was the most bizarre notion to OP too, but now that I have 3 days under my belt, it's not bad! (Who are we to argue with Ayurvedic practices thousands of years old??) Yes, the coconut oil is solid (because it's cool right now; when the air temp gets warmer it would be viscous), but it starts melting right away, and before you know it, it's liquidy in your mouth. I wouldn't recommend sesame oil because that seems really strong-scented and -tasting. I don't have sunflower or safflower nor some of the other unusual oils.
I don't know if it's my imagination but my teeth do seem as if they've acquired a luminous pearlescence to them. Time will tell. The true test will be when I go to the dentist in the summer and they ask me where is my plaque and calculus and gum inflammation and non-stop bleeding??:D

Carolyn, I have had lasagna noodles come out like that too. To avoid it, I saw on America's Test Kitchen (ATK) that you can soak them in boiling water on a flat pan for a while. We don't like the no-boil noodles because they taste weird, so I do that step and skip the boiling.
Hmm, I missed the part about when the storm will start. It will be in swing by the morning commute, I got the impression.
Interesting that your sister's DH works for your DH. Do you ever have family squabbles/problems arising from that?
You doing KPC tomorrow?? I might do KickMax.
As Mary points out, I too have far more Cathe workouts than I have time to do, but I'll order anyway (late, late March). After all, the results speak for themselves.;)

Hi Girls,

What a day I had. Just so super busy today.

Oh. DH made me make another appt for my stomach. We went into Philly to see a doctor at Jefferson hospital. We went this morning and it went well. They want to do some genetic testing and she is putting me on a round of antibiotics for a month to see if that helps. So overall good news.

I have so much to catch up on. I'm on my phone so I don't know if I remember everything.

Jean, good luck tomorrow. How exciting. That's great that UY is coming you way since you will backing up your workout room.

Carolyn, that's great that your snow shoes were waiting for you today.

Betty, so cool that you got foundations. Will you buy it or hold out for UY?

Today I did 30 minutes on the rebounder and then 20 minutes on the spin bike. Tomorrow I am doing UY. Not sure which one yet.

Hi Missy, Marie and Mary.

Carolyn, I use the boil noodles as well, but I only cook then for half the time since they cook more in the oven. That's seems to work for me.

TTM and Core 2 this morning! What a workout! Then I met my friend at the mall to walk. No wonder I'm starving today.

This afternoon I did some shopping at Target. Love that place.

Tony is feeling better, thank goodness. He is still pounding away at the juice fast. He is hoping to make it 30 days. He is super motivated when he gets on a roll so I hope he can make it to his goal.

Our 9th anniversary is on Wed but I work so we are celebrating on Thu. We are getting massages and then I mentioned going out to dinner but oops that can't happen because of the fast. Oh well...probably healthier for me.

Carolyn- Funny my shoe size got bigger too. Happy you got your snowshoes. Thanks for the name of that cream. I will be trying that.

Missy- Thanks for the info on movie. As you know I'm on FB more often so thanks for posting it there too :) Boots just loves you, following around his mama!

Mary- Yeah I haven't even started XTrain yet so I'm thinking I may get the new workouts before I even finish that lol.

Betty- Way to go on bike. I'm jealous your library had Foundations. That is great!

Jean- Sounds like you're busy with the move. You'll be there before you know it.

Colleen- Hope the antibiotics work for your stomach.

Carolyn, let's see, KPC has high knees, butt kicks, boxing shuffles, hammer punches, kickboxing arm drills and front/back/side kicks (which I love). I'm sure I'm omitting some, but that's a start.

Marie, 30 days! Why is Tony doing it for so long? I agree--for a man, how can he sustain it?

Will continue this in the morning! Buona notte, mi amici!;)

Good morning....on the elliptical...you gorls should watxh the movie fat sick and nearly dead....it is about a man who fasts for 60 days...it is amazing! Tim and I watched it...it actually has alot of health benefits....i was amazed!!!

Be back later!

Good morning. Rest day today.

Carolyn, the lasagna sounded good.

My stomach has been good as along as I'm not eating gluten ad dairy, but DH was not satisfied that this is the way that I need to live. So I agreed to go to one more doctor. So we will see how it goes.

I have KPC but I've not done it either.

Oh forgot to mention I probably won't preorder. The only one I will get is the new spin one. I might change my mind later on.

Aw, Colleen, no preorder?:( I totally understand though!
Have you read about oil pulling? EarthClinic's site is full of people's experiences doing it. Many people have oral health, sinus, yeast, insomnia problems solved by it. I wonder if in addition to benefits, it would help with your stomach issues. I believe coconut oil is anti-microbial, anti-bacterial, etc.
Be aware that for people who have big issues, while the body detoxes at the beginning, it feels worse before it starts improving. I had no such problems. In fact, today, when starting KickMax, I noted that my knees felt, shall we say, supple? Now, I've tried Hydraplenish ColleenK mentioned, and take it here and there, but have never noticed such an effect (never took it daily though). I cannot believe it. I know the type of pain when I start every workout when my knees haven't warmed up yet. KM had a lot of jumping and they didn't feel that terrible. The real test is to pull out DrillMax, which is the toughest on me.

Jean, I had such an awesome year traveling last year: CA 2x, Italy, Calgary. Would like to meet DS in Germany when he's done but I really don't know. DH and DS2 don't want to go. We have a wedding in Vancouver in August, postponed from last year. I usually go to CA once a year, but I don't know...
I'll keep the plastic shrink wrap in mind. How about bubble wrap? Isn't that awesome?

Marie, happy upcoming anniversary (prob won't remember next week). What a wonderful anniversary present Breckin is! A celebration of love and marriage.
Do tell more about Tony's fast. Did you guys get a heavy-duty juicer? I'm very curious and will watch Missy's recommendation at some point. I love those types of documentaries.

Carolyn, hopefully you're finishing up KPC. I loved KM today!
Is b-i-l BFF with dh? Is that the two peas in a pod?

It is quite rainy here.

I'm here. I just keep checking for new posts, but nothing new to add.

How sweet about your sis and b-i-l.

Get down there and do some yoga!

Oh, on OP helping knees, the oil goes sublingually into your body and lubricates everything. I'll be giving everyone daily updates;).
