Hi everyone,
It was a light snow this morning adding up to about 3", and now it has been lightly raining for several hours. It's so cold and raw--going to sit by the fire.
Mary, I'm so glad you were safe from all those bad drivers out there. It's scary what people do during a snowstorm. That's an added winter stress that I could avoid if I were living in CA!
All of us in the back of our minds were hoping for a delay for some more sleep, but no. Our bus was punctual.
Savor your rest day. Try the yummy soup on your family and let me know how it goes.
Jean, both my kids don't enjoy playing the piano, especially DS2. For as much time as he spends practicing, why fight it, I always yell. Can't he just lose himself in the beauty of the music and the instrument?? I wish I could play too. I am a beginner and have a very slow brain for music and would be quite embarrassed to sit with our piano teacher.
I could just picture you with a Trans Am.
Colleen, thanks for the reminder about the leg-crossing. I consciously try to avoid it to prevent pushing my fat calves around.
Yuck, performance reviews. I remember having to do them even as the work piled up. Great job getting them all done. No easy feat.
Marie, good luck going back to work! Is it actually tomorrow?? It will be a day of mixed feelings. Your body will still be thinking baby. You will think you smell him, even at work.
Missy, what does the state do for women, since men get the psa?? Help me understand why the state does it at all??
At my supermkt today, I saw the Gold Bond with hand sanitizer. I didn't buy it yet because it's $9!
Carolyn, hope you enjoyed working your bis and tris.
DS2 does not want to bring lunch to school. He'd rather buy from the cafeteria and spend $3.25 for lunch every day! It adds up! And almost daily I ask him, how was your chizza? The kid eats that so much he should look like a cheese pizza. Get it??
Ok, I cranked out the premix of Hard Strikes, Burn Sets Tris, Core #1 this morning. Yikes, HS had so much jumping around! Carolyn, this was a toughie on legs, even under ordinary circumstances!
Fifteen minutes in I wondered where the warmup was. Did I space out and miss it?? No, there definitely was no stretch after the warmup.
And goh-lly, have I done a ton of situps since this series started! I use my Cathe step mat (small), a yoga mat, and a pilates mat, all stacked, for my tailbone! It's tolerable like that.
And my glutes are still super tight today from Monday's dixie cup lunges! My shoulders are feeling sore too. Ahhh, doms!
Incidentally, I love the girls' sculpted legs, as they're lying with their sides to us, doing ab work.
