STS first time!

*&^%$#@! I typed a post and hit log off instead of submit! Moral: Don't type distracted!:D

Just before noon, the sun came out. Haven't seen it since Thursday! Temps hit low 60s! It was so divine that I took a 30-min walk.

I completed the 60 mins Super Cuts Extreme premix earlier. Extreme meeans the first half is repeated in the second half:confused:. I don't care for that, so I'll have to make a note. There was a tough core drills segment, where you do alternating 5 situps with 5 pushups, 8x. Waah, I can't do situps! My tailbone gets in the way!
It's funny how with this series all I've done so far is premixes, so I don't know what the true workouts are like yet.

I caught a peek at the Hard Strikes clip yesterday. Looks like fun! Moves from KPC, KM, etc.

Jean, I do like Super Cuts. It's a metabolic workout, which I am loving! Not too much jumping either.
Sorry to hear about Bentley's relapse. Hope the treatment today works.

Colleen, bummer about your son's cold! Hope it's mild and you don't catch it!
You'll have the body of a ballerina soon!;)

Carolyn, bummer about your scratchy throat too. Hope it's nothing!
Sorry about your sleeplessness last night; can't win, can you? Take a nap; it'll do wonders.
Nice job on your workoutS today!

Has anyone seen the Les Miserables movie yet?

Need to go make dinner, a sausage, red lentil, spinach soup.

Disc 7 today and HiiT DWP.

I went to a friend's house today and we watched the movie Babies while snuggling our babies :) It was really good. It follows 4 babies from different parts of the world from birth until they walk. Very cute :)

Tony got off at 4 so we are just having a low key evening. Dinner was potstickers and veggies. YUM!

Here's the soup recipe: Red Lentil Soup With Sausage, Spinach and Balsamic Onions

I think I have made it once before. I actually skip the balsamic part and dice up the onion finely. Today I used quinoa instead of brown rice. Very delicious and hearty/hardy! Great for colds and flu.

Carolyn, you try honey with the scratchy throat? My throat felt off:confused: as I was typing the last post, and I downed some green tea laced with honey. Works wonders.

I don't get out much either. Would like to go see Les Miserables, but more realistically, it'll come out on dvd by the time I get to it.

Hi Marie! Nice job with your workouts! Your activity today sounds adorable!

My son is 4 and he sounds horrible tonight. Kinda of croupish. I hope he's ok tonight. I go back on Thursday.

You both did crazy workouts today.

The recipe sounds delish.

My son is calling me...bbl

So far it just seems to be a good ole head cold. Lots of drainage and coughing. I hope it doesn't turn into anything else. He slept really great once he fell asleep. I am really tired today...

Carolyn, how are you feeling? I hope OK. How is your knee feeling? Did you stretch really well after spinning? I think that really helps. I didn't realize that your daughter is 8 (so in mine). Is she is 2nd or 3rd grade? Courtney is in 2nd. Her new thing is One Direction. She is obsessed with this group. Something she picked up from a friend at school. All she talks about is the band and how she wants posters and she is making all sorts of stuff with their names on it......

Today I took it really easy ride on the spin bike. I did 15 miles. My knee felt good for the most part, but I could feel the pressure building up at times in my knee, no pain or popping. I go to the podiatrist today to get fitted for orthotics.

Betty, how did your soup turn out?

Marie, Great workout yesterday. Sounds like you had a relaxing day. Are you ready to start back at work next week?

Jean, I’m sorry about Bentley. How does he like the Z/D food? Cuddles goes crazy for it. We mix a little dry and wet at night for her (we give her just dry in the AM). When we open up a new can, she barks like a puppy. It’s too cute.

Have a great day. I have to finish writing up performance reviews today… such a fun task.

Carolyn, my son is an August baby the 30th. We will wait until another year before sending him as well we know he needs it. So I get it and completely understand. We don't want to start him off on the wrong foot. Nothin wrong with waiting. I think it only benefits them in the long run. DD is November so she naturally got the extra time.

Orthotics are ordered. My feet are all messed up. Bones not aligned properly, feet pronating, right leg longer than left. Causing me to compensate in my walking and my knee turning in. It was really cool. They took X-ray and as soon as he came in, he did a physical exam, had me walk, reviewed the X-rays and said "you knee pain is on the inside." And pointed to exactly where my knee pain is located. He said I'm a perfect candidate for orthotics and they should help me immensely. He also said its part of getting older!!

In thinking of going in for PT as well now. I really want to get my knee healed. I think I'm heading in the right direction, but I also know I need to realistic with the PT. I need the advise of what I should and shouldn't be doing for it to heel.

BBL.

Carolyn, Oh forgot to mention, he is going to put a slight lift in the left orthotic to help compensate for the leg being shorter.....

I'd go to a podiatrist to see if they recommend for you. I did research and I could if gotten orthotics through the chiropractor, but decided to go see a podiatrist instead. Typically you get better orthotics from a podiatrist than chiropractors.

Good afternoon...sorry I have been mia....I have been swamped with work. My receptionist has the flu...so I have been at front desk for 3 days...and today started city prostate exams...so I had to be at work @ 7:30...so I had to get up an hour early!!

I will try and catch up later....been getting my workouts in. just no computer time....crazy crazy!!!

Check in later....promise!!!

IMax3 and core from BM2 this morning :) IMax3 kicked my booty unusually hard this time!

Little man has been sleeping since 10:30. Long nap for him. When he gets up I'll feed him and then we are heading to Target. Not that I need anything but I always find something at that place. Actually I do need one thing. I'm going to attempt to make apple chips and I need parchment paper. My MIL gave me a bunch of Red Delicious apples...gross! I'm definitely an apple snob. Those things are so grainy. Hoping they are good in a form other than raw.

Betty- Thanks for the soup recipe. I love a good homemade soup, especially in the winter. I will be trying that.

Carolyn- Have fun bowling....sounds like fun, as well as getting your hair done. Reminds me I need to do that ;) Fingers crossed for your throat!

Colleen- Hope your son feel better soon. Poor lil guy! Good luck with your feet....I hope those orthotics help. I go back to work on Thu. Ugh! I do miss my coworkers and I like my job so that helps but I'm sure going to miss my lil man. We have been trying to give more bottles lately so he will be ready on Thu. Let's just say he likes the boob better ;)

Jean- Way to go on that workout! You killed it. That's a long one :) I was going to do core from XTrain today but didn't know where to find them. Are they on a certain disc? Under chapters? Or premixes? I haven't even taken then out of the package yet. I'm so weird like that. I like to save new workouts and not do them all at once.

Hi Missy- Good talking to you in FB this morning. Hope you catch up at work.

Hey all,

What a day! A quick efficient trip to three stores this morning before going to a wake, went to lunch, went to DS2's teacher conference, his ortho appt, and now his piano lesson.

The soup was delicious. So many types of veggies in there.
Carolyn, I don't like to get all those emails in my inbox from Fitness, Shape, Self. Too much. Speaking of, I just went and ordered a subscription to Fitness because it comes with a free gift of a resistance band.:D Don't even need one!

Jean! High five to you for finishing that workout! This morning I awoke all achy in my shoulders, core, and butt, and then I wondered whether those might be tough for you. Those burpees, floor core sit-outs and the dixie cup lunges did that.

Marie, you too! IMAX3! I don't have that but if it's anything like 2, yowza.
I would have been checking on Breckin often too. Always worried they'll stop breathing...

Carolyn, I hear you about the small talk. It's so tedious, and I'm so horrible at it! Bowling sounds fun though.

Colleen, the podiatrist was awesome! How gratifying to hear all that!
I'm reading a book right now that mentioned starting a kid in school too soon--they never catch up. I saw that with my nephew; he should have started the following year, being an August baby too.

Missy, looked for that Gold Bond at one CVS today, but no sanitizer version. I'll keep looking.

Stay healthy, everyone!

Good evening....oh it feels good to be home...I worked 7:30-5:00 today...crazy! For the next 4-6 weeks i will do these hours on tuesday thursday and friday...untill the city exams are done. But I atleast earn extra time off for these hrs!!

Tomorrow...at 5:00--- i leave the office and head to another physocias office to help him set up his emr and help train his staff...he called me and asked so kindly for me too help him after hrs...he will pay me time and half for all my time..... it shouldnt take to much extra time...or so I hope....

At least I will make a few extra bucks...to go toward my prescription sunglasses I want to buy!!! :)

Hope everyone has lovely evening!!!

I am exhausted...gotta workout and then hit the sheets!

Btw...last weekend the weather was so amazing...yes...windows open and 75 degrees...so spring like....i got use to it...and now the stupid cold weather is coming back. :(

So mad...wanted to go running this saturday...but its going to be freezing...eek!!!

Missy, of all things, why prostate exams??

We're supposed to get snow in the wee hours of Wednesday morning, just in time to mess up the morning commute:confused:.

Betty--- i know right???? We do all of the city exams...the city pays for all workers to have prostate and psa screenings. So we take 6 weeks every jan/feb and do them prior to our reg schedule. It is very funny because the men act like children when coming in...they crack jokes....i think to try and make themselves feel better. Lol.....plus they all know us women which are working them up prior to doc know what is going on!!! Lol

Good morning friends!!!

Up and on the treadmill!!! Gotta get a run in this morning!!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful wednesday!!!

Good morning,

Yucky morning here too. Not show but sleet. I dropped my dd off at school too. My son is having his speech evaluated today. He has a real hard time with certain sounds.

I did ballet body again today. In really loving it. It's a really nice change for me right now. Now I just have to decide what cardio to do tomorrow.

Carolyn, do you cross your legs a lot? I do. All the time and the chiropractor told me that is a big no no. What a hard habit to break.

Betty and Jean, I am in aw of your athletic abilities. Hats off to you gals. I hope once my knee heels to be able to do xTrain.

Missy, good luck today.

Marie, it is very hard transitioning back into work. Being part time will help a lot. It does it easier over time...having good day care an having a good job makes all the difference in the world.

I have a full day meeting with my boss and peer to go over 2013 objectives. Fun fun. I did get all my performance reviews done yesterday.

Bbl.

Good Morning!

Very snowy day here, roads are a mess! We should have had a school delay but didn't get one, and the school bus never came so had to drive girls to school. Then driving to work I have to go down a steep hill, and wouldn't you know a car coming up the hill couldn't make it and cars behind that one were going around into my lane. I had my foot down all the way on the brake peddle and still had trouble stopping. Then the stupid driver who couldn't manage the hill decided to do a 3 pt turn to turn around, all at the bottom of the hill. Lucky I did not have an accident!

Rest day for me today. I was planning to do the Legs workout but actually feel better having rested.

Jean, I hope Bentley is ok. Betty thanks for the soup recipe, I wonder if my family would eat it. And Carolyn, hope your knee feels better.

Ok, at work so better get back to it. Very quiet here though.

Hi Ladies. Up early again . Today I did back, ch, sh and core 1. It felt good to rest my legs. I am really enjoying this series. It is rainy here today. I don't envy you guys for snow. We are supposed to get a dusting tomorrow.

Mary That was a scarey ride down that hill. I remember those days when I had a Trans Am and couldn't get up hills. I hate snow and I am not a confident snow driver. I am glad you made it safely.

Colleen If you could see me working out , you wouldn't call it athletic abilities. I just do the best I can with what I have to work with. My PT also told me not to cross my legs when sitting.

Carolyn I was a little sore from yesterdays w/o. Not too bad.

Betty You sure had a busy day yesterday. It is a good thing it wasn't a w/o day. Does your son enjoy playing the piano? I would love to be able to play.

Jean
