STS first time!

Hey everyone-

Happy Halloween!

It's B's 2 week bday too...how time flies!

We are doing well. Little man is sleeping right now. He is a rockstar at feeding. Sometimes drinking it too fast for my liking as he starts coughing from it.

I have my follow up appt tomorrow. I'm really hoping to get cleared to workout. I don't think I could handle anything too intense as of yet but would LOVE to do some Cathe with modifications! I'm dying over here lol. I will most likely skip abs for now too. My incision looks good but is still healing. There is a hard spot underneath it. I'm assuming it's just fluid and scar tissue that will decrease over time but I'll be asking about that at my appt just to make sure.

We have had a ton of visitors lately. It's good but sort of overwhelming. I don't mind feeding in front of ladies but guys.....won't do that. Tony is back at work so if B gets hungry while they are here I retreat to his room to feed and leave the guests entertaining themselves. They understand though and most often just leave at that time. No visitors scheduled for today though. I'm excited to have just this day to B and I.

Goal for the day to to set up the stroller. I'll be working on that during his next nap.

Everything is just so wonderful. Tony is off tomorrow and Fri so we will be having family time those days. Can't wait!

Becky- Thinking of you and your father. Hoping he gets his surgery today.

Jean- Glad you are safe and had no damage from the storm. Nice job on back. LOVE that you're seeing definition. Nothing better :)

Missy- Crossing my fingers for your weather to warm up so you can go running. I could never run in the cold either...no fun!

Carolyn- Hope your knee is ok from that workout. Good luck with the future surgery. I'll be thinking of you and wishing for a quick recovery!

Colleen- Enjoy your rest day! Well deserved!

Betty- Nice job on TBT Express. That is one of my favorites!

I should probably get rid of my pregnancy ticker. I'll kind of miss it though!

Can I brag for a sec too and say I was back down to pre-pregnancy weight after 7 days. Pre-pregnancy body-----ummm not even close to back haha! Oh well...I'm not worried. I know it will come with time :)

Here's my little guy! Check out those toes! I'm just obsessed!!!!

Happy Halloween!

Marie so excited for you to be back to pre preg weight. Congrats. And breckin is oh so precious. Good luck at you appt tomorrow. Watching charlie brown with tim. Chat tomorrow!

Marie, Breckin is a doll! He's so alert, looking right at you. At two weeks! Amazing!
Listen, I have the c-section ridges. Permanent souvenirs! My ob/gyn made my first scar a little better looking the second time around, but it's still there, going straight across.
You are amazing that you feel like working out! I was so out of it for months! I wasn't keen on all the visitors, since I felt like crap. And I would go off to another room to nurse too.
You. Are. Awesome. Back to pre-preg weight after 7 days!

Missy, 40s is cold! Although, ask me in late winter and I'll tell you it's warm.

Carolyn, I'm eating like a horse this week. Crappy stuff too. Halloween candy doesn't help either. Don't feel guilty about indulging. There's no joy if you don't indulge. You work out regularly.

Just finished with all the trick-or-treaters. A good mild night for it.

Hi Marie,

So glad you are doing well. Breckin is such a cute little fella! You are doing amazing. I hope you enjoyed your first Halloween with your precious family. Enjoy every moment!!!

Checking in with HC volume 4 today! I am so proud of myself for actually finishing it. I've attempted it twice before and gave up after the warm up. It all on the ball and it’s really hard. I modified a lot and did some of the exercises without that ball; I just don’t have that much stability on the ball for some of the moves she does.

Last night the kids went out for trick or treat. They had such a great time. Cameron was Spider-Man and Courtney was a vampire. I took the kids out and I dressed like it was winter because it was so cold. My husband was laughing at me. Had on my winter North Face coat (with a sweater and turtle neck), jeans and uggs and gloves! I stayed warm!!

The eye exam went fine. No change in my eyes. I am down to my last week of contact so I need to be more ordered today. I wear the dailies. I LOVE them!

Carolyn, what workout are you going to do today?

Missy, that’s great on getting all your reports done.

Jean, that’s exciting about the back definition. I love it went you can start to see all the hard work pay off.

Have a great day!

Good day, ladies!

It's sunny at the moment but not supposed to be, so it's stolen moments for now.

Feeling the DOMS from TBT. Esp in the glutes! Cathe is a genius.

Way to go Colleen, mastering HC! And smart girl taking a day off yesterday after 6 straight workout days!
Good luck later at your appt!
Couldn't live without contacts either; been wearing them for 30 yrs!!!

The sun is finally shinning here is Pa. I hope it stays out.

Great job on burn and build today. I'll check out the utube.

Here's a pic of the kids from last night.

Just checked out the video of burn and build. Looks awesome. I'm going to put that on my wish list!!

Just had my Mamo. Now I'm waiting to go back to get an ultrasound....

Thanks, Carolyn :) No, hubby went with me, but they wouldn't let him back until we talked to the radiologist. They feel at this point it is just very dense breast tissue, but want to watch it to be safe. So overall very good news, but just wish it was it is fine, see you in a year....

Hi all,

Thank you for all the kind words and good thoughts for my dad. The docs released him last night from the hospital, so we are home now. They are going to try some medicine therapies to get his clotting factor back to where he could endure the surgery and have tentatively scheduled him for November 12th. They were pretty up front with us that it's a long shot that he'll ever be able to have the surgery, but that we should try.

Now that I'm home, I started Meso 2 with disc 13. I LOVE meso 2. This is the way I prefer to lift -- heavy in sets where I'm not constantly changing weights, and I really appreciated the rests built in. It allowed me to go heavy and really concentrate on form. I think Meso 2 is one I will come back to again and again.

Marie -- love the baby pics! So very cute.

Carolyn, for crunch I love brown rice cakes with either almond butter or peanut butter. YUMMY! I know it doesn't sound all that great but I enjoy it. I get the crunch, salt (I get lightly salted) and peanut butter (love, love PB). I will also top it with cinnamon.

I use to think that the LaraBara were too high calories. however, they really sustain my hunger and prevent me from over snaking so think in the long run I make out better.

My old favorite snack used to be Greek yogurt with frozen berries and granola. I used to get the big container so I would prepare it at night. I fill a small tubberware container with 1/2 c or so of any frozen fruits (my fav is sweet cherries) then top with the yogurt (1/2 c or so). The next day when I was ready to have my snack I'd mix the yogurt and fruit together (once the fruit thawed it releases the juice) and then add granola. I didn't have to add sweeter to it since the fruit was naturally sweet.

Just some ideas.

Thanks Betty for kind words. I got my contacts ordered. I've been wearing contacts for 20 years. I do have glasses but I only wear then at night or when my eyes are tired.

Too funny Jean. No, sadly I didn't know that was how you got to a Cathlete status. Never really paid attention to that. I'm being lazy and posting from my phone and its easier to post that way because I can't go back an look at posts...

Oh no, Carolyn! Is DH ok? Good luck! Sending some his way!

Our thread is getting up to 4000 posts!

Don't know what's on tap yet. Still sore from TBT.

Can't remember other posts, for I am on my little device. BBL.
