STS first time!

Well....I didnt get to go running outsde tonight. My friend is sitting in the ER with her daughter....so....I just finished dinner, and have been playing on the computer for some time....now off to workout.

Okay....confession girls...... I am thinking about buying the wavemaster punching bag with pink gloves to do the Hardstikes DVD with.....well.....I mean I am going to put on my christmas wishlist!!!!! I hope santa is nice!!! Do you girls what it to?

Off to workout!

Jean, I use a food processor to make the Larabaras. I would think that a blender might work.

Here's a picture of cuddles in her sweater. She's had it on all day.

Too cute!!!

I bet Cuddles enjoys the sweaters! My dog would die if I put one on her. She does not like anything but her collar on!!! And, my husband would kill me! LOL....but my dog is also 60 pounds...and large dogs look funny in them. If she was a small dog...I would so dress her up!!!! :)

Off to watch TV with Tim!

Chat tomorrow!:p

Carolyn, good luck and talk to you soon! I'll be thinking of you!

Jean, I'd give an arm & leg for natural cherry! And a french door non-smudge stainless steel fridge! I'll live vicariously through you! Have fun!

Good Morning Ladies,

Checking in with Muscle Max this morning. My muscles are nice and tired this morning.

Missy, I’ve love to get the bag for Hardstike, but unfortunately, I absolutely LOVE my workout room, but just can’t spare the room for anymore equipment. I don’t even have the room for all my equipment. My treadmill and Cathe’s pull-up tower are in the basement. Oh well. I hope your friend’s daughter is ok.

Jean, yes, Cuddles does sleep in the bed with us. We didn’t have intentions of it, but we got her when she was only 6 weeks old and she was only weighted about 3 pounds (I don’t think you can even get a puppy that young anymore and we didn’t know better at the time). I couldn’t get her to sleep the first few nights and I was so afraid of putting her at the end of the bed or in middle of the bed, so I put her on my pillow and well, the rest is history. She doesn’t sleep on my pillow anymore; she will either sleep between us or at the end of bed. Good luck kitchen and bathroom cabinets today. When do you move? Are you moving to Delaware?

Here the recipe for the pumpkin lasagna I was talking about. Pumpkin Lasagna Recipe : Robert Irvine : Recipes : Food Network
I made it without the sausage, it was so yummy!

Betty, my daughter at the age of almost 8 has really formed her own options. She is totally addicted to sugar and processed foods (even though we try to limit as much as we can). I’m really a firm believer in everything in moderation. Especially with an impressionable little girl around; I feel that everything I do and say, she is watching and I try to show her the best way to eat and take care of herself.

Need to get some work done then off to vote this afternoon.

BBL

Becky I can totally relate to "no endurance" in your legs. I can do lunges on one side o.k. but when she gets to the next side , that leg is already sore and tired. I try to just rotate my legs so I am not doing the same leg for so many lunges. I can do squats all day. But I hate lunges. When I first did STS in 2009 or whenever it 1st came out , I did the 1st leg w/o in Meso 1 and couldn't walk for 3 days. I was miserable and never did legs again until this year. So I know how you feel.

Jean

Jean, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I have hope that one day it'll get better. I like your idea of alternating the starting leg -- that might help a lot.

Checking in with STS Disc 15. I liked this one a lot more than legs! :)

Good Afternoon!

Carolyn---So glad you are okay! I was thinking about you all day! Be careful and rest!

Colleen---your workout room is killer!

Back to work...be back when I get home!

Oh....Jean....I am freaking out....I can't wait till Biggest Loser comes back on....I keep seeing little posts on facebook!!! Super Excited to have Jillian back! This season should be killer! :)

Okay....gotta go!

Carolyn, welcome back. So glad to hear it went well! Take it easy! Very interesting info from the surgery. (Can you tell I'm an info junkie??:D)
Don't get addicted to Vicodin:eek:! It's also got hallucinogenic & constipating side effects:confused:.

Missy! Your ticker is up some more! Congrats!
I also can't wait for Big L; having withdrawal symptoms!
I hate the early darkness too.:( It's 4 but the sun is so low in the sky and it's starting to get dark already. I too can't wait till we gain a minute a day.

Colleen, your workout room is drool-evoking. Yours and Missy's are similar & awesome!
That pumpkin lasagna looks great too. Not too hard to make.

DS1 is coming home to go vote, so I was madly cooking his fave dishes.
DS2 is up past your way, Carolyn, in the White Mtns, for Nature's Classroom, starting today. I can't tell you how much he has feared this, and for how long. He is probably loving it this minute. It'll be so cold for them!

Jean, there is stainless that doesn't smudge now. I'm sure it costs a premium. But oh, do the fingerprints and smudges drive me insane! And I don't have stainless appliances.

Ye gods, was it cold today! Still is:confused:.

Later!

Thanks, I just love my workout room! Oh the silly things in life.

I am so hungry today and I have eaten so bad today... ugghhh.. TTOM is coming next week and I'm already craving chocolate and carbs... I just downed two very large hardfuls of granola, chocolate chips, nuts and raisin and a chocolate chip cookie! Oh it was so good.

Carolyn, I agree that your son is on the young side. I never even considered pervs because I was dealing with his overwhelming fear this whole time. He too has only slept at cousins'. That's part of his fear! He is so afraid of the unknown. It looms huge for him. I'm sure he's having a blast now though.
The entire 8th grade (minus about 10 kids) is there with my DS, he gets to pick some roommates, and the kids are with our 8th grade teachers at all times, including at night.
I, of course, dread the cold and other germs he'll be bringing home!:eek:
I love that the kids are experiencing all nature, each other, and NO electronics!
Rest up. I wish you a good night's sleep.

Jean, I hope DE has a low tax rate! As I've said before, what you are doing is sooo exciting! May will be here before we know it!
DS1 is fewer than 10 miles away. I always thought he'd go out of state but he surprised us at the end by going local. And for heaven's sake, we do live in the college capital of the world! It's hugely easier on us that he's nearby.
We are temporary empty-nesters:D.

Colleen, I totally sympathize. I ate like mad last week, but feel less crazed this week.

I look for XTrain updates every day. I feel like I'll probably never even touch a fraction of those premixes!

Good night, all. Tired old eyes.

Jean, In all honesty, I just guessed at the 3 pounds, I really don't remember. Cuddles is about 11 pounds now. Congrats on picking out all your cabinets and hardware. How exciting. I've been to both Lewes and Rehoboth Beach before. Growing up in VA, I went to Ocean City, MD and DE beaches. Now that we are in PA we go to the Jersey Shore (Ocean City). That is so wonderful!

Carolyn, how are you feeling today?

Rest day today for me. My little girl is 8 today.

Betty, that is so nice that DS1 is so close.

My daughter gets anxiety just going over to friends’ houses to play. She'd always rather than be at our house and it’s a real battle trying to get her to go over to a friend’s house to play. Once she’s there she always has a good time. In the long run, I’d rather have everyone at our house anyway. I’m too the over protective type. At summer camp this year, my daughter was supposed to go to a move with camp the day after the batman shooting. I called the camp and they were still going to go. DH and I pulled her out for the day. She couldn’t understand why (we didn’t tell her what happened), we just said someday, we hope you will understand why.

Off to work.. BBL have a great day. Hi to everyone!!

Carolyn, I am so sorry you are in so much pain. Keep up with the pain meds. That's what they are for. You just had surgery yesterday. Take it easy. In sure it was not a mistake. You just need to give yourself time to heal.

Carolyn, I feel for you! Sending pain-free and healing vibes your way! I think you did the right thing by having surgery, but it'll take time to heal. That's some serious invasive trauma to your knee! Rest and sleep. Catch up on shows, reading, Cathe forums!:D Let others wait on you for a change.
Incidentally, how is DH?

Colleen, happy 8th birthday to Courtney! May I say kudos to you for holding down a full-time job in addition to your myriad duties. It's great that you make time to work out to Cathe.

Lately I've been mulling a Cathe Boston road trip!:D Imagine?

I pulled out AB after perusing my stack of dvds this morning. Holy cow, it was killer! So much floorwork! It's what gets the heart rate sky-high! I bet if I had simply even anticipated this workout, I might have been better prepared.
I am a long way from mastering this one:confused:.

Having no school alarm this morning, one could sure get used to it.:D So dark too, since it's cloudy.

Good Afternoon ladies!

Carolyn---I hope the pain is getting better. And don't second guess yourself...you can't go back so why so it to yourself. Just be positive and soon you will be running and working out again. Hopefully your husband starts to feel better too.

Betty---I use to do cathe everyday....but I have been running in the evenings with friends....but now that the time has changed I will only run on weekends. So back to pumping the muscles with Cathe. I was only missing a few Cathe workouts a week. But I enjoy both...so its okay. But, truefully, I love Cathe!

Colleen--Happy birthday to your daughter!!!

Hello to all!!

Back to work...very busy!

Be back later!

Oh...BTW---the scale did go down a little more....I think I have set a new and final goal..... it may take me a few months to do...but final goal is 66.5!

Going to work hard at it!:D

4.9 to go!!!
