Thank you all for the good thoughts for Dad (again!). It's so nice to find such a supportive place. We are feeling really hopeful this time and are excited to finally get this done.
Jean, that's great about your mom! She sounds like a strong and resilient person. I had a brother, but he died several years ago in an accident. My sil and nephew help out as much as they can, but it's easier for me since I'm a stay at home mom.
That was me! I LOVE Athletic Step best of all the step workouts I have. I'm not particularly talented in the choreography department, so this one is a winner for me. It's complicated enough to keep it interesting for me, but doable, so my heart rate is up there. I love how I can vary the intensity by playing with the step height. One riser makes a world of difference!
So, STS Disc 17 today -- Legs. Still so hard for me. The weights are so heavy in my hands during squats, so dh treated me to a weighted vest. Can't wait to try it next week! I love using the sliding plates for lunge work -- much much kinder to my knees. I've given up on that elevated lunge, though. Much too much pain in that move for me and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, so I do weighted step-ups on the high step instead.
Becky Good luck to your Father. I hope all goes well. Don't worry about STS . It will be there when you guys get back home. Getting him healthy is the most important thing. Do you have any siblings? My Mother is 94 and she has lived with my sister for 1-1/2 years. She was in the hospital and nursing home all summer with pneumonia. The Dr didn't think she was going to make it but she is a tough lady. She is very self sufficient. Have a safe trip.

I pulled out Athletic Step today, which I haven't touched in over a year and a half! Was it Becky who said it was fun? I agree! This workout used to vex me and I would give up in frustration! It's not nearly as difficult to follow as LICh! It is intense too--I was dripping!
Off to cook dinner!
