STS first time!

OMG, Carolyn, what an adorable sweater! What a steal! You make me want to go, but I won't until next week. Forgot to return something the other day.
My chocolate crinkles cookies were a disaster! They were just plain runny. I didn't sub anything either. I still baked them, and they taste ok, but I certainly won't be craving them. I was thinking they'd make good ice cream sandwich cookies. Just slap some oreo or vanilla ice cream in between two.
How is DH feeling?
An iPod is so awesome. DS'll be hooked!

Colleen, hope you're feeling better yourself. You need to recover to prep a Thanksgiving dinner next week!
Is DH on a business trip? I used to hate it when DH went on those, esp when the kids were young.
Funny, DH and I were just talking about failing eyes on kids this morning. My 10-yr-old nephew just learned he is 20/25 in one eye. Don't feel bad; it's out of your control. I am blind as a bat, but DS2 still has million dollar eyes. Fingers and toes crossed. Conversely, DS1 noticed he couldn't see the scoreboard at Fenway in 4th grade.

Missy, your plans tonight sound like so much fun. I love going out to eat (but my waistline doesn't), and shopping is the best way to walk it off. Great couple time!

You gals, I don't know if I've ever taken a soaking bath!

Becky, hope all continues to be well with your dad's recovery. Thinking of you.

Marie, hope all is well with you and Breckin. Thinking of you too.

Jean, hope you get all you want to do done, and some reading too. Safe drive back.

I did High Reps today. The last time I pulled this one out was a year ago! My knees are hurting for sure, and there are way too many squats and lunges. I do like the lunges with the discs but I feel like my knees go funny as I'm doing them.

Good Afternoon! Just got back from lunch! I just bought Tim's last christmas gift!!! Still waiting on a few to be delivered...but done with the purchases for him. I went to Sears because I knew it was going to be on sale. Then I used my reward points so I ended up getting a $35.00 gift for 6.99!!! I am on a roll!!! hehehehe :)

Betty---You do not know what you are missing. I would die without my baths!!!! Just love them. That is what completes my days!!!

Colleen---Do you enjoy working from home? It would be nice, but I would be afraid I would never get any work done!!! LOL....I sit in a germ factory all week! But I think it keeps me from getting sick as much! I am use to the germs. Unlike my hubby. He gets around sick people and always catches it!! Unfortunely! I do occ get sick, but not as much as some!!! Hope you feel better soon!

Lots to do before 5, Better get moving!

Quick fuss report.....

it is horrible outside...it is only 50 degrees, no sun once again, with misty wetness. TERRIBLE!!! It makes your bones cold out there. It truely looks like it is going to snow...really dreary!!!

Just aweful!!!!

Betty, My DH has been out if town since Monday (I thought I mentioned it before, but its been that kind of a week). He has landed and hopefully should be home by 4;30-5. He was at his yearly sales conference. He does travel from time to time, but usually not this long.

Missy, I do love working from home. Sounds strange but I get so much more accomplished at home than in the office. I usually get interrupted non stop at work from my staff so it's great to the the opportunity to get actual work done. I usually only work from home once a week because I want the face time with my employees, but this week I needed the extra day.

Good morning. Checking in with turbobarre this morning. Not one I usually do, but it felt good today.

Carolyn, enjoy being cuddles up. We are off to see DH gran other then to our godsons second birthday party. I for got to mention to you my DD teacher had a torn menicious ( sp) had surgery on a Friday back at school on Monday weight bearing and never had crutches either. So maybe that's the way now? She also thought she would have crutches. How is your knee feeling? Mines been funny the last few days. I'm thinking it was due to running.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday.

Carolyn, I hear you! What a revelation AFTER the surgery! Makes one wonder if doctors just take a stab in the dark based on the majority of the symptoms.

DS had a dentist appt at 10 so we couldn't linger and sleep longer. Then errands. Now back home in a moment of quiet.

Today is my family's Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone is due around 3:30. Turkey is in oven, and pumpkin bread is baking. I delegated a lot of the side dishes to the guests. Yesterday I made a cranberry-apple cobbler. Hope it tastes good. I shouldn't use guests as guinea pigs:D. Do you guys like cranberry sauce/relish? Martha Stewart has a great recipe for cranberry grape compote that I've been using for years. Simple and delicious. Made it yesterday because it tastes better made ahead.

Carolyn, enjoy your sis' visit.

Colleen, enjoy your visit and party.

Sunny, calm, and 50 today. I'll take it.

Hi Missy, Jean, Becky, Marie, Mary.

Have a great day, all!

Good morning!

Hives? A very long time ago I had allergic reactions to the scent in detergent. Welts would vary. Eyelids, lips, abdomen, different every day. Awful torture. Had to go unscented. That's my experience.

Bbl for personals.

Good Afternoon! Was crazy busy yesterday! Last night Tim and I went to the races. It was cld but fun!

Carolyn--I hope your husband feels better. Sounds like he has not had any good luck lately!!!

I did 90 minutes on the elliptical this morning. Wanted to get in alot of cardio, because we are taking Tims parents out to dinner tonight at Sonny's BBQ!!! Massive calories!!! Just researched utrition...looks like I will be have a Chargrilled chicken Big Salad!!!

Only 3 days next week then 4 days off for me and Tim. Really excited!!!! It will be nice to spend some time together.

Off to get hay and do barn chores!!!

Be back!

Doing CF tonight!!!:D

Caroylyn, here's a dessert I just came across last week, which we had yesterday; very easy to make: Pear-Raspberry Tart - Martha Stewart Recipes
I also came across this, which seems simple enough: Icebox Pumpkin-Mousse Pie - Martha Stewart Recipes
I had also made this cranberry-apple cobbler for yesterday, which came out good, except for the burned topping (which DS was supposed to be watching), but it tasted fine. I only had 3 small apples, so I added blackberries too: Clinton Kelly's AppleCranberry Cobbler | Dashrecipes.com
I absolutely love the compote! So tasty and so simple! I always bring that to my sis-in-law's for Thanksgiving, but most people reach for the canned cranberry sauce!
Every year I make different desserts. It depends what I make for my family on the Saturday before. I don't want to eat the same thing again on Thursday.

Hi ladies,

Checking in with a pretty relaxing day. Only left the house to go food shopping. I did my own spinning workout today and did 16 miles. Then I took a bath. I also made some grain free brownies that were made out of black beans. They were SO good. Not super sweet but hit the spot. I ate 3!! They were pretty healthy so I don't feel guilty.

Carolyn, that is strange about the hives. I would think it allergies or stress. When I went in for my followup mammogram. I stressed out so much that afterwards I broke out in hives. That had never happened to be before.

Betty, those recipes look good. I make an orange cranberry sauce that is really good.

Jean, glad you are home.

Enjoy your dinner Missy.

Have a good night.

Thanks for all of the recipes! I will check them out in a bit. My dd is waiting for me to play a game.
Dh took a zyrteck and was zonked all day. He is awake and feeling a tad itchy. He is one big ball of stress ALL the time, so I dont think that that would be happening all of a sudden. I have not changed detergents in a while. Could it be a virus you think? The poor guy always has some sort of drama!
Ok. Better run. Will be back in a.m.
Tomorrow I plan on starting with sts. Meso 2 or 1? What do you all think? Remember, I cant do pushups cuz of my knee.

Good morning friends! Here's to a 3 day work week! Then 4 days off! Happy thanksgiving!!!!

Got up even though it is freezing cold and did my cardio.....tonight i am thinking hst!

Hope everybody is warm! Have a nice monday!!!

Good morning carolyn....we were posting at the same time! Arent the leaves aweful! They are everywhere. My yard is covered in them!!!

Off to work! Bbl!

Good morning!

I just did LICh. Bad for the knees. Still not getting it! I made some progress though.

Dreading the supermkts this week!

Jean, did you watch Persuasion with subtitles? I have to. I absolutely love British movies! Did you catch how Anne Elliot's sisters and father are so buffoonish, selfish, and vain?? And Rupert Penry-Jones was such a hunk?:D Especially in those waistcoats (is that what you call them?) they wear! I just love the way the British speak--they have such a different way with words!
Glad you're chuckling out loud with the book! It is the same with me.:D So fun!
My family's thanksgiving dinner went off well, thanks for asking.

Speaking of fall leaves, we have been raking nonstop! And the leaves are still not all down yet!

Colleen, great to hear you had a relaxing day yesterday! Glad you enjoyed the brownies! I still have to get over my mental hurdle of beans in desserts:eek:. I love beans in savory dishes.

Have to run. Later.

Good Morning, I guess it's really afternoon now. Late in my checkin.

Today I did pushpull. It felt good to so some weight work today.

Betty, I would have no idea that beans were in the brownie if I did not make them. I have bought cupcakes made with chixpea flower too. no idea! they were amazing.

In a funk today as TTOM started.

Carolyn, would it be too hard on your kneess to do the pushup on your knees or tabletop position?

I love pumpkin too. I have found a couple of grain free recipes that I am thinking about trying for turkey day. We are going to my Mom's so I am going to bring something that I know I can eat! I want my dessert on Thanksgiving!!

Here is one: » Baked Pumpkin Spice Doughnuts Against All Grain

Got to get back to work...

Betty, are concord grapes the same as red? I think I might have screwed that up! You would think I would write stuff down before I shopped! I even cut coupons and then left them on the counter!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Carolyn, I don't think it really matters what kind of grapes you purchased. If you bought Concord, it's all right because it'll all come out reddish from the cranberries. Any grapes give it a delicious sweetness, offsetting the tartness of the berries.
I do the same thing as you. I go as far as writing things down yet I still have things floating all over my brain in confusion:confused:.
Is DH better? Stomach and hives?

Gals, anyone interested in this FFW bra top, on sale, plus with the BLACKFRIDAY12 discount code, it comes to 8.79. One size fits all. Only a couple left. I like the back; it's different.Bra Top Neon - Feel Fit Wear | Style for your active life!

Jean, my husband says the same thing about subtitles! I NEED subtitles but when I'm watching with him, I can't, and I get so frustrated.

Carolyn You are good to go. Don't worry about adding extra. I would think it should be fine. Make sure you bake it for an hour. I never added the nuts so I just left it in for an hour. I can't wait to hear how you liked it. I will be watching Walking Dead tonight. I heard it was good last night.

Betty That bra is cute but I don't exercise in a bra like that. I feel like my gut is TOOOOOOOOO exposed. I usually wear a tank top or exercise top.

I have to go clean up my mess from todays purge.

Becky I hope all is well with your Father.

Jean

More food shopping today. The stores should be loads of fun:confused:

I have to work out in a sports bra too because of overheating!

Carolyn, every once in a while I check on our old Colleen too!

Good Morning! Been crazy busy!!! But today is day 2 of 3....so looking forward to a long weekend!!

Okay...so I am completely done with Tim's presents, bought, paid for, and wrapped!!!

The mothers...about 75%.... and wrapped!

I am on a roll!!!!

Looking forward to going out and buying our christmas tree....either wednesday, or friday or saturday...just depends when they have them in. Someplaces already have them, but I always buy ours at the same place....they always get beautiful trees!!! I will decorate the entire house inside tomorrow night for christmas...but then the tree is last...and the best. I just love the smell of a christmas tree!!! Can't wait!!!

Okay...this morning I ran on the treadmill for 45 minutes...got a late start. So tonight I am doing something of Cathe...for at least 75 minutes!!!

Be back...busy busy at work! Have a nice tuesday!
