Strength in Numbers

Hi girls!!!!!
Sorry, I was gone for real:p I took a recovery week hahaha even from the forums! Sorry I was thinking of you guys believe me....:D:D I only did 3 workouts I did Step Jump and Pump, intensity, and to the max!!!!! Finally I got them on friday, I did it today..... I'm so sorry I won't go back to answer all of the post I did read all of them and I see that you guys had being working out hard!!! Good for all of you guys, I saw Janie's pictures they do look so good.
Also, I saw the post of the future new dvd's how awesome is that! I thought it was awkward that Cathe did mentioned that in a thread:confused: but I can't wait to see the announcement for the new ones!!!
Today I was cleaning all day, after doing To the Max, then I cooked steak for dinner with tomato salad sweet potato and broccoli and Red wine I hope I don't get headache:p

Next Monday I'm going to start meso 3 I'm kind of sad because I did posted a question for Cathe in Facebook and she didn't answer anyways I'm going to start meso 3 I haven't decide if I'm doing a mix or double trouble or Jun rotation.
Have a nice weekend ladies....

This morning I did disc 28, chest and back! Loved every heavy moment of it! :D Now I'm getting ready to go to my mom's and swim in her pool and then stay the night.

Pam You're funny with trying to like my post more than once. I had to read Cathe's reply on that post twice just to make sure I wasn't reading it wrong.

Janie Hope you had a wonderful rest day! I am so looking forward to Cathe's new DVDs too. I tell you though, that woman is going to put me in debt with all her goodies.

Eunice It sounds like you had a great rest week and well deserved too because I know you work hard. I'm sorry Cathe didn't reply to your question on Facebook. I wonder if she has been busy with the new workout plans or maybe the road trip that is coming up at the end of the month.

Have a great day!

Julie great job on disc 38. I'm glad to hear that the weighted vest helped some with the front squats I think I would like a work schedule like that where you get a day off after every 2. We did cool off a little last week for a few days in to the mid 90's. We have had another 4 days of 100 plus heat, but they are saying it is only supposed to be 84 here on Tuesday. That will feel like fall after these last couple of weeks!

Janie I bet it is a lot of fun hitting that heavy bag! It seems like it would be a great way to get rid of stress! I have done the heavy bag bonus a few times without a bag and it it still works out pretty well.

Eunice Welcome back! So glad to see you here again! It sounds like you had a good week. Intensity, SJP and To The Max don't really sound like recovery workouts to me though ;):D I'm so glad you got the new workouts so fast! How did you like TTM? I m really liking it! I see now you only have 12 weeks left in Australia!!! wow!
That is kind've strange that Cathe just mentioned the new workouts in a response to somebody's forum post, I was excited to see it though. I was wondering if you should try posting your question to the forum too. I think she might check it more than she does Facebook? Ummm, your dinner sounds like it was good, I hope you didn't get a headache from the wine!

Julie great job in disc 28. I hoe you had a nice day at your mom's!

Friday night we went to the lake and skiied and then had a picnic there with another couple.it was 100 that day so we thought we might be taking our picnic home to the air conditioning, but a little storm came through and cooled things off a little so it was just a gorgeous night for a picnic. Yesterday was my day off and I was ready for it after 12 straight days. I went over and helped my mom get her house cleaned because she was having some people from church over for a cookout and pool party. Then we went to the lake and skiied and then went to a neighbors for a little goodbye party for some neighbors who are moving to Colorado. This morning I did Athletic Trainig. I have a had time deciding if I like that one or Afterburn better! Now it's time to run some errands. Have a great day ladies!

Last night was To The Max. Very challenging for me and a lot of room for growth. How can people get all the way through that without modifying? Used less risers. Man I need to get stronger! I was sweating buckets! Will do it on a regular bases to get stronger and hopefully add risers equal to Cathe and crew, someday. Can't wait to do CrossFire in two or three days. Will post later tonight for STS weight training.

Today I did STS disc 13, chest, shoulders and triceps. It's really nice to get to do weight training again. Bench Presses were 68#'s, fly's were 20#'s,Seated Front Press and lateral raises were 8#'s. All the triceps exercises were 8#'s. The only exercise I improved on was the Flat and Incline Bench Presses by 3 pounds. Not too shabby.:)

Eunice, Great job on the three workouts: SJ&P, Intensity and To The Max. Also on your CleanMax.:) Hey, we missed you, and it's nice to see you on the forums again.

Julie, Great job on disc 28, chest and back. I know what you mean. I love weight training too. Enjoy your Mom, how nice to be that close.

Pam, I agree, you can do The Heavy Bag without one. But, it is so nice to hit something, It gives it substance. You know? OOOOO that picnic sounds wonderful and glad you got skiing in there too. After 12 days of working out without a rest, I bet you were ready for it! Sounds like a great weekend being with your Mom and helping her out, skiing and a party. What a nice weekend. Great job on this morning's AT.

Have a good evening everyone,

Janie

JulieGood job doing disc 28 I guess this is week 2 of it? today I did week 1 and it was good I think I'm going to feel it. I hope you had fun at the pool during the weekend. Probably she is busy with so many projects its alright I still love her.

PamThanks Pam, it was a good, so,so, week actually hard to sleep at night because I wasn't tired from working out, so the 3 days of workouts were good. My new workouts were faster than last time I do like them I do like the music that Cathe used too. 12 weeks I know its going fast.
I guess it was weird but is real she will have something on the newsletter, I can't wait to hear more, she mentioned that it was something like the one of her oldie series I cannot remember the name right now, but I don't use that one a lot so I hope she does something a bit different. It doesn't matter if Cathe didn't answer I was hopping but that's alright. And guess what? this time the wine didn't get me a headache:p:p Good job doing Athletic training, your weekend sounds a lot of fun, your weather a little bit better than ours but your its even better when you have a lot of things to do. Nice picnic I had have only one, once, as you can se DH is not that romantic.:confused: I was going to said which one I like better but I think I'm with you, I don't know which one I like better.

Janie Good job doing To the Max, don't worry I know some of the girls that are younger than you are and still not using step or using only one riser, if you were sweating buckets I'm sure you were doing good. I can't wait to hear which one do you like better TTM or CF, have fun doing STS tonight. OMG!!!! are you for real????? 68??? in only disc 13??? That's how much I did today for meso 3 disc 25:eek::eek::eek: that means that you are VERY, VERY strong. Awesome job!!!

Sunday I did Cross Fire It was good, oh but first let me tell you guys that I was sore from doing To the Max:confused: weird!!!! my sides, quads, upper body, I think Cathe used heavy this time for shoulder presses for LIS Athletic Training she uses only 5 pounds this time she used 10 and I used the same so that explain the soreness.. So yes, I was worry not to be able to finish CF but I did I love some of the new moves with heavy weight, the rowing with 15 pounds like that one, it burns good.
Today I did disc 25 chest/back I used 68 Bench Press, 28 flys 32one arm row and 69 Bar/row incline bench I was surprise of my self I did 59pound and deadlift I used 78pounds. I did better than last time according to my notes. Tomorrow I'm doing Cardio and I think I'm going to do squat rack legs I was checking at the weight I'm supposed to use pretty easy so I think I can do better than that!
So which one of the new workouts is your fave????
Have a good day ladies.

Janie great job on TTM, it is a goodie, isn't it? I can't wait to hear what you think about crossfire. I think it's harder, but i see that some of the folks on the forum are saying TTM is harder. Great job on dis 13 too. You are really rocking the heavy weights. Amazin, 68 pounds for bench presses? I am awed! not shabby at all!
It was a good weekend, just went by too fast as always!

Eunice I love the music in To The max! I forgot to mention that when I first reviewed it. I think the official announcement about the 10 new workouts is supposed to come out today. That will be so exciting!
I think she said it was a cross between Cross Train express and another series, but I don't remember which one. I'm glad to hear you didn't get a headache from the wine this time, maybe you are getting used to it?!
Well if it were up to DH we would probably never do picnics, I just tell him when we are going to have one and I get everything ready for it! After doing both workouts twice I think I do like TTM a little better, probably because I think it's a little easier
I forgot to tell you guys that I snapped my band when I was doing AT yesterday. It was around my foot and we were doing the seated thing where you pull back on the band and the first pull it just snapped in two. luckily it was a pretty long one so I could still finish with it.
Great job on crossfire and disc 25! You and Janie are killing me with you 68 pound bench presses! I think I use 40! you are really lifting HEAVY!!! Amazing!

This morning for me was supposed to be KPC. I think cathe has that in every rotation! So I subbed in Crossfire. It kicked my butt! I was still beat reed 30 minutes later. have a great day.

Pam

On Saturday, I ended up floating in my mom’s 93 degree pool with over 100 degree temps outside. It was actually kind of nice except I must have forgotten to put sunscreen on my shins because they got burned and that is the only place I burned. Sunday, DH and I went shopping and then did a few things around the house but then relaxed in the afternoon. This morning I did Afterburn Premix Intervals 6-10. I just read the article on the new workouts. They sound really good. I'm so excited there is part of a workout devoted to the rear delts. I think that is my weakness so I'm looking forward to that. Also, I love the idea of a total body weight workout that mixes up the body parts. I can't believe we get to pre-order next week!!!

Pam Great job on Athletic Training yesterday! Your day off doesn’t sound like a day off but rather active recovery. Our weather has cooled off too. Sunday we woke up to a nice cool morning and it is only supposed to be in the mid 80s this week which seems like Fall to us too after the horrid 100 degrees too many days in a row. Great job on CrossFire. I can’t wait to try that one in its entirety but I think I will wait till I am done with Meso 3. That’s crazy about the band. I have to say when I watch the Firewalker Tabata, all I think is that I am either going to break an ankle or break a band.

Janie Great job on TTM! That is what I love about Cathe’s workouts. They are great for growing into. I usually find them hard to do in the beginning and have to modify but at least I know I am getting my money’s worth and will be doing them for long time while I grow into them. Great job on disc 13 too! Love the weight increases too!

Eunice Great job on CF and disc 25! I have only done the Low Impact Tabata premix from CrossFire. I think I am going to wait to do the new workouts in the entirety for when I finish Meso 3. I really want to concentrate on putting all my energy into weight lifting right now. Those are impressive weights you are lifting! I’m glad you didn’t get a headache from the wine. Like Pam said, you could be getting used to it now.

Have a wonderful day!

Tonight was AS modified in parts. I'm a sweaty mess! Got a love it.:)

Eunice, Great job on CF, it sounds so hard! But am willing and able to do it in a couple of days. I CAN'T WAIT!:) Also great job on disc 25 chest/back. You are improving leaps and bounds. Good for you. I don't know yet what I can do on back exercises, but will find out soon enough.

Pam, Great job on this morning's Crossfire. I bet it did Kick your butt! You poor thing, but (no pun intended), it's good for you.;) I can't wait to try it in a couple of days. Hoping to have a long and lasting beet red face too.LOL:D

Julie, It must be so nice to lay in the pool like that. Your rest day sounds heavenly. Great job on this morning's AB Prem. Interv. 6-10. I read about the rear delts, and am so excited to get started on them. We get to preorder next week. :eek:Yeaaaaaaaaaa!

Take care ladies,

Janie

PamWay to excited about the new dvd's but this time I won't tell DH because his going to say "how many dvd's do you need?'" so I guess secretly I'm going to have to order them:p:p:p Yes, cross train express I didn't really like that one that much but the new workouts sound more exciting than those oldie ones. That's what DH told me about the wine:mad: I have another bottle for the weekend hahahaha! You are smart for doing that, just tell the time, place, where, good for you! Wow! you were opening that thing pretty hard! don't you? that's what Cathe said in one of the workouts when doing kickbacks she said stretch that thing!!!! ok so back to your band, do you have the new ones? I do have the small ones I thought it was awkward at first, concentration!! taran!!! You are pretty funny, I'm killing you with the weight and you are killing me with those nice looking arms!!!! I think you can do more you don't know until you do it, then you will be like me, while doing the move I'm thinking "wow" of my self!! Good job doing CF I think Cathe does have KPC in every rotation.

Julie Floating girl!! you were sweating in the water? that is a funny spot to get burn:p:p Love relaxing days!! but lately (last week & this one) every day is kind of relaxing day:eek: Good job doing AfterBurn Premix 6-10 I saw the new workouts description as well they sound pretty good, I think Cathe is putting a lot of things in the dvd's Love the idea of the rear delts too, that's my weak body part. I know next week!!! I hope she gets Amanda this time.
So you are only doing weights every day? How are you doing this month meso 3?

JulieGood job doing AS love to be sweaty mess for sure!!! I can't wait to hear how much you can do for back, I'm pretty sure you can do a lot more then me!

Today was for me LIS Low Impact Challenge I wanted to do it so I won't forget it, and I finally figure WHY????? I always end on the wrong foot doing the last combo, is because she used the same feet twice!! and I wasn't using it that way but today I did it and it so much easy... Also i did core bonus from cross fire holding that dumbbell for the move does really make the diff:eek::eek:
Anyways NOT to good in the afternoon!! we did bake our head off today I think is the weather its being raining a-ll-d-a-y-l-o-n-g, all day! So Rachel and I did Apricot Macadamia Nut cake then Brandy said that she wanted to do something and she did a Sticky Date cake :eek::eek: OMG!!! so after that I have to do something else!! ok not today tomorrow!!
Have a great day every one!

julie Floating in your mom's pool sounds wonderful to me, that's what I did on the 4th of July! Sorry about your burned shins though, I always hate it when I miss sunscreen somewhere. Great job on the AB premix. THe new workouts do sound good but I was a little disappointed because they sound like they are going to be on the shorter side. I might be misunderstanding though as she mentioned lost of premix options.
It's funny out temperature as dropped a lot but it really isn't feeling much cooler. I think that the humidity is up so that is making up for it. Oh boy, the tabata with the firewalker band in Crossfire is killer! I haven't tried the low impact tabata yet because that is a bonus section. I will have to give that a try one of these times.

janie Great job on AS. love that workout and I haven't done it in awhile. I can't wait to hear how you like Crossfire, I have no doubt you will have a long lasting beet red face afterwards! :p

Eunice I never bother to tell my DH when I am ordering DVDs anymore. They just show up on our porch :D The new workouts do sound better than cross train express, but I am hoping they aren't as short as Xtrain express. Well, except maybe that tabata one, 45 minutes seems awfully long for a tabata workout! I do have a couple of other bands, but the one that I broke is the one that I usually use. I think the other ones are harder  and then I have one that is way too easy, so I might have to get a new band. Oh I have tried going heavier on my chest work before, but I always hit failure pretty quickly!! :p:rolleyes: I have started making myself at least try to match Cathe on the biceps and that usually works out, but not always! I think the reason that Amanda wasn't in the TTM and CF workouts was because she just had a baby, did you see that? Or maybe she is just about to have a baby, I can't remember which!
Great job on LISLIC and mastering it!!! Wow. I have that one in my calendar this week and have already been thinking about subbing something else.....:rolleyes:I did the core from crossfire this morning too. It killed me that she did those soldier planks though, because I had just done them in TBTUB
I saw your baking pictures on FB, they looked really good. OMG, I LOVE Sticky date cake. Now I am getting hungry!

This morning for me was Total Body Trisets Upper Body mix. Wow, has it always been that hard?! Then I did the core bonus from Crossfire because I had planned to do it last night but forgot. As I said to Eunice, I about collapsed on the floor when she said we were doing soldier planks, since there were 2 sets of them in my workout. This core work seemed a lot more like the horizontal conditioning stuff with the variations on pushups and dips.
have a great day ladies!

Pam

This morning was disc 32, plyo legs! I think this may be the “easiest” of the plyo legs. I think this may be because there are no half turn jumps!

Janie Great job on AS! Being a sweaty mess always puts a smile on my face! Lounging in the pool was fantastic except for the sunburn but I will not forget to put sunscreen on my shins next time! Were you looking to get another turbo tower? I thought I saw you were asking about them. Here is a post (see the 3rd reply) from SNM about it no longer being offered but they are working on a redesign.

Eunice Great job on LIS LIC! Yea! That is awesome that you got that last tricky combo. Oh boy those cakes sound so yummy! I don’t know how you have self-control around them. I would be gobbling them up so fast!! For my meso 3 rotation, Mondays is a 30 minute metabolic like Afterburn or Cardio Supersets, Tuesdays is plyo legs, Wednesdays is Shoulders, Bis, & Tris, Thursdays is a HiiT, Fridays is squat rack legs, and Saturday or Sunday is Chest and Back. I am really liking doing less cardio so I can focus all my energy on lifting heavy. I feel it has helped me improve my 1RM.

Pam Great job on TBT UB! Plus adding on the core work from CF! I previewed the core work and I think it looks really different but I do remember groaning during the preview when she said soldier planks! I am not sure what the times for the new workouts will be. I know they can’t say for sure until filming is done. I wonder if she will have the main workout be shorter but offer longer premixes. In a way I like the idea of shorter, more time efficient workouts because then I might get to sleep in until 4 am. I didn’t think the CrossFire low impact tabata was too bad. I think the low impact tabata in To The Max would be a little harder because it includes those straddle jack disc pushups.

Have a great day!

Tonight was disc 14 legs. 50# barbell for dead lifts. When we used dumb bells it was 30#'s in ea. hand. For the other exercises, I didn't go down as low as the crew, but I held my own and used 20-30#'s depending on the exercises. As I progressed through the workout I found myself using 20's. Had to listen to my body. Sweaty I was and jello I am. LOL:) Rolly and I took a 30 min. walk this afternoon in the forest. We now are at the BH. Will run on the beach tomorrow if weather permits. Looks a little foggy tonight with a very fine mist. Temperature around 68-70 degrees.

Eunice, I think the back/bicepexercises are coming up this Thurs. I'm ready to see what I can do.:) Great job on LIC. You are getting stronger as we speak. Good for you. Great job on the core bonus from crossfire as well. The cake sounds sooooooo gooooood. My tummy is growling at me. I'm making bread out of nut flour, oatmeal flour coconut nut flour, flaxseed flour and eggs tomorrow. It will be my own creation. Hope it turns out. I'm tweaking oats in my Paleo diet. I may even put in some Greek Yogurt, we'll see.

Pam, I can't wait to do CrossFire. Thank you for your little review there.:) It will be very soon, I think Sat. I'll have to check on the calendar. Great job on TB trisets Upper Body mix. Yep, those are hard. Also good job on core bonus from Crossfire. Oooo, leave it to Cathe to come up with such hard workouts. But, that's why we need her, she keeps us going.

Julie, Thank you so much for the link. I'm sooooo excited! I need another Turbo Barre for the BH. Yea! But I was wondering why work on something else when the old Turbo Barre works perfectly? Oh well. Great job on disc 32 plyo legs. I agree, those half turn jumps are something else.

Pam, Thank you for taking the time to copy and paste SNM pricing for the new upcoming workouts. I'm getting all of them! I can't wait! (squeal)

Fantastic workouts everyone,

Janie

Pam See? but you do work and I don't so I feel like I have to tell him but NOT this time:p:p When I was reading the description of them I was thinking the same, I hope she doesn't make the workouts short hahaha!!! you make me lough with your tabata thingy 45 min is not that bad!! Matching Cathe is a good thing though you are in your way up. But I was reading a post I will that to posted here about lifting heavy and such and such, you'll see it. You are right Amanda just had a baby I saw her pictures a while ago. You should try to do LIS LIC is not that bad, I started to liking it a bit better. Good job doing TBTUB and core from crossfire I did like it too. It was really good cake both of them.

JulieGreat job doing disc 32, I think I remember that one. I like what you are doing sounds pretty good. I hope you share your results with us "pictures" hahaha!

Pam I saw the announcement over face book I thought in the newsletter they mention something about preordering next week!! That was fast. Or she is just giving the price but NOT ready to order?

JanieAwesome job doing legs disc 14 you are doing awesome!! for deadlifts I know at the end of meso 3 you are going to be rocking it. Sounds like a very nice afternoon at the BH enjoy your running tomorrow. Oh boy, your bread sound very yummy, you have to share your recipe with me.

Today I did for the first time ever disc 37 squat rack legs, I used my 20 pounds vest and the 50 pounds barbell only for the front squat barbell I used the vest and 40 pounds barbell for lunges I used the vest and 45 pounds barbell and I am feeling it, I think it was a good workout even when we had such a long 3 min rest, the garage was freezing cold but doing the workout I got hot and sweaty NOT a big one but enough to let me know that I was doing good.

Have a great day everyone.

Pam I almost forget the post of this guy Lean Bodies Consulting's

A lot of people get caught up in weight, PRs, etc., etc. But you have to keep in mind that physique development is about maximal TENSION on the target muscle. This isn't weightlifting or powerlifting. It's ALL about tension. Yes, more weight is one way to add tension, and progressive overload is important, but too many people get trapped with too much emphasis on just getting stronger, setting another PR, and often I see, with some compromising of their rep execution.

Don't just lift your weights. CONTRACT your muscles through a full range of motion. Stretch and squeeze on everything. Keep the set moving, don't let the muscles relax - tension, tension, tension. Don't let them rest during the set. You can always make a lighter weight feel a bit heavier when you're really, really focusing on rep execution, contracting your muscles against resistance. Make every inch of every rep count. When you do this, often weights have to come down a little (for example, when we use slower eccentric tempos), but the effect on increasing tension is magnified even further. End result? Potentially a great stimulus.

I have seen some downright abhorrent form in the gym - hmmm, and typically? By the people with unimpressive development. Check the egos at the door.

another good one from the same guy

I've posted about this a few times before but it's always worth a repeat.

I would estimate that the number has to be about 99%; 99% of people who are trying to improve their physique through diet and training, for whom all goals are OUTCOME BASED, or results based.

So they're setting the GOALS for themselves based on a goal body fat % (this one is ridiculous btw) or a goal weight (ridiculous but less so) or a weekly, biweekly, or monthly weight-loss or body fat% loss goal. So you want to drop 15 lbs, or 10% body fat, or be 15% body fat or weigh 130 lbs. These are outcome-based goals.

Here's the problem - you can't actually control these precise outcome-based goals. Your body does what your body does and responds at the pace your body responds at, not the pace your MIND wants it to. The body adapts as the body adapts and YOUR body responds at it's own individual genetic pace, not some presumed 'average'. Let's also not forget that progress is not ever linear (so there goes the weekly loss goals right there).

So really, you technically have no control over this. So what happens when it's not turning out for you? You get frustrated! Go figure, it's those darn NUMBERS getting to you again. The NUMBERS that are making or breaking your day. Every time you don't meet your number goal, or you see a number that frustrates or disappoints you? You wind up focusing on what you still don't have. Negative focus.

You need to be mentally and emotionally prepared to do the work required, yet still be mature enough to accept there maybe frustration along the way as well.

So what should we focus instead? What we CAN control - our actions, choices and behaviours - the ones that LEAD to awesome outcomes. These are in your control and if you're not meeting your behaviour goals, well, you can easily start to meet them. And they will eventually lead to whatever outcome your body is going to achieve.

Mastering behaviour/process/action goals consistently over time will be one, within your control, and two, lead to great outcomes.

Julie Great job on disc 32. I always love when I do that one too and realize it's the one without the 1/2 turn jumps. If I recall though, it does have 1 legged sit and stands doesn't it? she always gets us somewhere it seems! Well that core work from CF really gave me some DOMS today, so I guess it is good stuff. I don't get core DOMS very often so it makes me happy when I do! Oh yea, those straddle jack push ups are killers! I groan whenever they come along.

Janie great job on disc 14! You are doing great with your weights! Great job and good for being smart and listening to your body and dropping down the weights when you need to. I hope you enjoy your time at the beach and get that run in! The temperature sure sounds nice for it! I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to get the new cycling workout or not.

Eunice You work too, just not outside the home! That's funny that we were both worrying that the new workouts might be too short! for some reason I feel like I'm cheating if I workout for less than an hour. That must be because of years of classes at the gym that are all an hour long. Of course the Hiits and CCC made me feel a little differently about that. Oh those articles that you posted about lifting are really good. I will need to keep that in mind when I am lifting. I know I don't always remember to try to concentrate hard on the body part that I am working and I should!
The preorder is starting on Monday , but in the newsletter she didn't say what the prices were. Someone asked about the pricing in the forum.
Wow, great job on squat rack legs. i have never done one of those workouts. How did you like it?

This morning was supposed to be LISLIC for me, but I did sub it out (sorry about that Eunice ) I did the original Body Ma instead, but just the step and power circuits. I don't know why but my legs are stiff today. Maybe still from Cross fire on Monday?! Yesterday was upper body so it wasn't that. My abs are sore and my upper body hurts when I cough so I guess I got a pretty good workout in yesterday. Have a great day ladies!

Pam

This morning was disc 33, Shoulders, Bis & Tris. I really felt my tris working hard so I am hopeful for some wonderful DOMS tomorrow.

Janie Great job on disc 14! Awesome poundage on those leg trisets! Good for you for listening to your body too. I think it is always best to start out as heavy as you can and lighten up as you go along. I am not sure why they are redesigning the turbo tower but hopefully it does improve it rather than making it less useful.

Eunice Great job on disc 37! It’s nice to get good and sweaty from a weight workout. Definitely means you are on target. No pictures. Right now I am not worried about what I look like. I am focused on building muscle and probably will be focusing on that for the next 6 months. Thanks for pasting the articles. I was trying to focus on squeezing and feeling my muscles work this morning. I think I have the biggest problem feeling my biceps and rear delts. Something to work towards.

Pam Great job on BM original step and power circuits! Oh boy you do have some crazy DOMS if it is hurting when you cough. I’ve had those before and some reason it puts a sick smile on my face. I don’t remember disc 32 having 1-leg sit and stands but it did have 1-legged squat thrusts. Those are much better than ½ turn jumps because you only do them once but yes they do get you. I can stay in one place with my right leg but when I do my left I am hoping from side to side. I don’t get ab DOMS often either. If I do it is usually just on my sides. Enjoy them while they last!

Have a great day!

Julie Great job on disc 33, i hope you got the triceps DOMS that you were hoping for! Yea,my DOMS yesterday were weird, I'm not really sure what they were from exactly. You are too funny with your sick smile though :) Ah ok, 32 has those crazy one legged squat thrusts. I'm like you, pretty strong on the right and all over the place on the left. I always start with the right leg too. When Cathe is saying 'I definitely have a stronger side and this isn't it...' that is exactly what I am usually thinking at the time

I hope everyone else is doing well! This morning for me was Slide and Glide. It is a nice relaxing one which was good for me today because I really had no motivation to work out at all. The DH is in California and I went out with a couple of my girlfriends last night so I just wanted to stay in bed. It was good to get it done though. Have a great day everyone!

This morning I did the HiiT 30/20 Premix from To The Max! It sure did fly by and those straddle jumps where you straddle the step, jump forward and back 3 times, and then jump up and then down are deceiving. The first one or two, I was like no problem, then by the middle of the third time, I was like is this the last one yet! After that I did NE ab circuits.

Pam Great job on getting S&G in especially when you just wanted to stay in bed. It is nice to do something on the lighter side when you have those days. Where in CA is your DH? I did get some triceps DOMS. More so in my right than my left but for some reason my right tricep is weaker than my left which is weird since I’m right handed. HaHa! I thought the same thing during my left legged squat thrusts and Cathe made that comment!

Have a wonderful day everyone!
