Strength in Numbers

Julie Layla really bonded with you fast. Hopefully you and DH can help her get over her separation anxieties and her nervousness around men. Good job in getting PUQ and GG done. No I haven't noticed any patterns around my food allergies. Once I was diagnosed and cut the things out that I was allergic to I was fine for over three years. Now I seem to be gaining weight and having issues again. It is very frustrating but I will get it all figured out.

Pam You are lucky that you don't have any food allergies, it is not fun having to read labels to figure out if you can eat it or not. Good job on Gym Style Back, Shoulders and Biceps and Tracy Stahle High Intensity Step Mix. So nice that someone will be adopting Pippa, hopefully the others will be adopted quickly too.

So I didn't get going soon enough this morning and couldn't get my workout in. I went and volunteered at the SPCA this morning and I was feeding and holding the guinea pigs. We are trying to get them used of being picked up and held. They are so cute and they make the funniest noises. When I got home I took Tango to the vet. Around his eyes gets really red and he rubs at them a lot and they look so sore. He may have seasonal allergies so I have some cream to put around his eye and then I had to go out and by some Reactine for him. I need to give him a 5mg pill every day to see if it works. I tried to hide it in his wet food but he just ate around it and he doesn't like the pill pockets. So it looks like I have to open up his mouth and pop it in and make him swallow it. I hope it works.

Cheryl, Nice to visit with family. Great job on STS disc 4 Chest, Shoulders and Biceps and a walk. And for Dragon boating in the evening. Hope you will be fine with food. Dog gone it! Also for doing ICE Rock'm Sock'm Kickbox. Get better!

Julie, Oh no, poor Layla. I'm sure she will be fine after the treatments. Dogies sometimes do have separation anxiety. Must be hard, sure you will both resolve her problem. Great job on PUQ and GG. xoxo

Bizbee and I walked 2 miles on the beach and tonight I did Total Body Sculpting. Couple more weeks on this one and will be ready to move to Muscle Max. I hope.

This morning I did Cycle Max scrambled. I felt distracted for some reason through the whole thing and didn’t concentrate very well. Definitely makes a difference in how you feel it, in that you don’t as much. Layla did better this morning in only pacing for a little while at the beginning of my workout and then she settled down.

Pam Great job on GS BSBis! Keeping my fingers crossed for Pippa to get adopted. Wow 300,000 miles on a car is amazing! Great job on TS High Intensity Step Mix!

Cheryl The food allergies must make going out for dinner a real challenge too. It sounds like yours are changing on you too, I hope you get it all figured out soon. Playing with the guinea pigs sounds like fun. Oh boy, it's no fun having to stuff pills in a cats throat, I ho[e you don't have to do that for too long!

Julie Great job on CM scrambled, but sorry that you were feeling distracted. It definitely can impact your workout intensity. It sounds like Layla is coming along really well, hopefully she will be used to the new routing soon.

This morning was GS chest and triceps and the abs from ME. We were planning to go for a bike ride, but we have a 70% chance of rain today so we decided not to risk it. Have a great day!

Julie Good work on Cycle Max scrambled. I am wondering if you are worrying about Layla and that was why your were distracted. I sounds like she is settling in better though.

Pam Yes the food allergies do make it challenging to go out for dinner. I usually just stick to a salad as that is the safest for me to eat. We will probably have to give Tango allergy pills until October if we find this is what is causing his scratching and red eyes. It was pretty easy to do it today, I just have to get him when he least expects it. Good work on GS Chest, and Triceps and the abs from ME.

This morning I did STS disc 5 Back and Triceps and then I got all the housework and laundry done. There was no dragon boating tonight because we didn't have enough people. I find it frustrating that we can't always get enough people out on Thursdays to practise.

Since I slacked on working out earlier this week on Monday and Tuesday, I doubled up Pullup Queen days 2 & 3. Maybe that will be a good shock to my back muscles and help them get stronger. I am so happy it is the weekend and it is supposed to be fairly nice weather today and tomorrow so maybe DH and I can hang out on the deck with the dogs.

Pam Great job on GS C&Tris and ME abs! Ugh all those pushups at the beginning. I just can’t bring myself to do many Cathe weight workouts anymore because it always feels like a pushup party and that’s not how I like to party anymore. Bummer about the rain delaying your ride. Layla is definitely coming around. She was running and leaping around the back yard yesterday and almost had me in tears I was so happy she was happy. She definitely still has her moments of being skittish still though.

Cheryl Great job on STS BaTris and all the housework and laundry! I wonder what is up with Thursdays and people not wanting to come out. Wednesdays tend to be bad around here because there are a lot of church services on Wednesdays. I think I was thinking about Layla and that is what distracted me. I found myself thinking about her again this morning but caught myself before it became too much of a distraction.

Julie Great job doubling up on PUQ. How was Layla when you were doing your workout this morning? That is so awesome that she was running around and so happy, it seems like she is adjusting pretty quickly. Pushup parties have never been how I like to party! You are right that it sees like at the does way too many of them in her workouts. That is the main reason that I hate chest workouts. I hope you get nice weather for the weekend, it will be great to hang out on the deck with the dogs.

This morning I did Imax. It was still supposed to be raining so I didn't want to take a chance on a bike ride. I think it is supposed to rain all weekend too :( I was really hoping that we would finally get to water ski this weekend. Booo! Have a great one,

Julie Great job on your doubled up PUQ days 2 & 3. Glad to see that Lalya is getting better, it takes time but it seems like she has improved in just a week with you.

Pam It has been really easy to pop the pill in Tango's mouth and have him swallow it. I hope it continues to be that way too. Good work on Imax. Boo that it is suppose to rain all weekend. I know what that is like and having to be stuck indoors. Can't you water ski in the rain? It is a water sport :p.

This morning I did STS disc 6 Legs. Then went went over to my parents and mowed their lawn and weeded the garden.

Took Thursday off and shopped instead. Today I walked the beach with Bizbee. My knees were so tired and sore. Was suppose to to TBS, but I think I better not this time. Maybe I'm taking it too fast. I was pretty spent by the time I got home. Not sure what is going on. Maybe I need another day of healing for my older body. If that's the case, I will do cardio and weight lifting and the next two days will be rest from exercises. Hmmm. What do you all think?

Cheryl Water skiing in the rain is so much fun! You can't see anything and it feels like someone is shooting needles at you :eek: Great job on disc 6 and getting your parents yard work done.

Janie Shopping sounds like more fun than working out to me~ Great job on your beach walk, but you are smart to rest of your knees are tired and sore., I think that your plan of taking 2 rest days after cardio and weights sounds like a good idea.

This morning I did GS legs and Icy core 1. Then I went and picked up 4 new kittens :rolleyes: It's dangerous taking them before my others are adopted, so I hope they get adopted quickly. The first 4 have their surgery Wednesday and Pippa will be picked up Thursday. William is younger so his surgery will be in a couple of weeks, but then he is going with Pippa. Wish me luck for the other 3 getting adopted fast! Have a great day.

Janie Shopping sounds like it would be a lot more fun than exercising. Good work on your walk on the beach. I think that taking some extra time off is smart. I know that when we get older we don't recover as fast as someone younger so taking some additional time off is better for us.

Pam I guess because you are going faster when you are water skiing it would feel like needles. When we are dragon boating it isn't so fast so the rain isn't so bad. Great job on GS Legs and Icy Core 1. I don't think you will have any problem in getting your other 3 kittens adopted. It sounds like there are a lot of people who want to adopt kittens.

I didn't get a workout in this morning as we were out before 8 am to go to a yard sale put on by one of our local dragon boat teams. I got a couple of hostas and some books and then we went to Starbucks for a coffee. I did get a bit of a walk in though so at least it was something. I did watch some highlights of the royal wedding between Harry and Megan, it is a lifestyle that I can only imagine.

Saturday I doubled up my Gorgeous Glutes to make up for slacking at the beginning of the week. Then it was chores and errands. It was a little too hot to sit outside but we tried and only made it about an hour before having to bring the dogs back in. Sunday was a lazy day and a little on the cool side. This morning I did PUQ and GG. Layla is getting much better with me working out. She paces a little but sometimes tries to get Sheba to play and then will eventually settle down.

Pam Great job on Imax! I hope you didn’t have too rainy of weekend! Why can’t it just rain at night when everyone is sleeping! Layla has been doing so much better. She was a little skittish Saturday even after my workout but this morning she was out running in the backyard after she ate. Great job on GS Legs and icy core 1! So is that 9 kittens right now but you know two are getting adopted?

Cheryl Great job on STS D6 Legs and yard/garden max! Yep it definitely is going to require patience before she is completely relaxed and doesn’t have any bad days where she is skittish but slowly seeing her personality peak out is so rewarding. Sounds like you had a nice relaxing active recovery Saturday.

Janie Great job on your beach walk with Bizbee! That sounds like a good thing to try. 1 day weights and cardio followed by two days of rest.

Cheryl I couldn't wait to see the royal wedding and my DH was trying to avoid it at all costs :p I thought the hats were so funny. I couldn't imagine wearing one other than for a costume party :)

Janie Yep, 4 new kittens. And they are definitely making me crazy ;) The four new ones are so so small, but they are all very sweet and people friendly, so that's a good thing.

Julie Great job on your GG double header, chores, and errands. That is too bad that it was too hot to hang out outside. Great job on PUQ and GG, so glad to hear that Layla is already doing so much better. That must make your heart happy. Yep, 9 kittens right now. I am constantly herding cats!

Yesterday it didn't rain but DH was playing golf, so my friends and I went for a 30 mile bike ride. My friend Marianne got a flat tire right after we turned around. That was the first time we've had to fix a flat while we were out, and it took us awhile, but we did it. It definitely took all 3 of us to remember what to do though. This morning was tabatacise and bonus abs 1. We're having to move my mom somewhere with a higher level of care because she keeps trying to escape where she is. :( She will like that even less, but I don't know what else to do. She tries to climb the fence, climb out her window, run out the front door. We tried medication, but it doesn't seem to be having any effect.....sigh. Have a great day.

Pam Funny how t he women can't wait to see the wedding and the men could care less. I am not much of a hat wearer since I have a small head not many hats fit me. Great job on your 30 mile bike ride and getting your friends tire changed and on today's Tabatacise and bonus abs 1. Sorry that you are going to have to move your mom. That is so hard because they don't understand but you are doing the best for her to make sure she is cared for.

Yesterday I did yoga and then we went out for dinner with my brother and parents. Today I did STS disc 16 Chest, Shoulders and Triceps. It was a nice day out so I got the car vacuumed and washed so it is all clean for a bit. Today I went dragon boating but we couldn't do it at our normal place because it is flooded. The snow is melting on the mountains so fast the rivers can't keep up with it. So we had to go back to where I paddled the last two seasons. It was a good practise and it was nice seeing the seals again.

Pam Great job on your 30 mile bike ride! Now you have some real world practice fixing a flat. Glad you were able to get it fixed. Great job on Tabatacise plus bonus abs 1! Oh I am so sorry about your mom. That has to be a difficult decision but it sounds like it is for her own safety which unfortunately she will not understand.

Cheryl Great job on yoga and STS D16 CST! Oh wow, I hope the flooding doesn’t get worse and stays contained in the rivers.

Julie Great job on Ride, hopefully the weekend will get here fast and it is a long one too! Yep, that is the main problem with my mom. She thinks there is no reason that she shouldn't be able to go out walking on her own.

This morning we went for a 21 mile ride. It was beautiful out and no flat tires or snakes, so it was a good day! My sister is off work for the summer starting June 15th and she wants to try having my mom live with her for the summer. I don't think she realizes just how difficult she has become, so I told her if we do that we need a really good back up plan if it turns out to be too much. She will also need a new place lined up in Michigan near her for when she goes back to work. I'm still going to look at some other places here so we have an idea of what all of our options are. The good thing about her being there would be there are a lot more people who would come to visit her. Have a great day.

You all seem to be doing very well. Bike rides, yoga, Cathe's DVD's, Tabatacise, Dragon boating and all that wonderful stuff.

Monday I went on the beach and Bizbee and I walked 5.5 miles. Tuesday nothing yet, but plan on TBS tonight.

Julie Good work on Ride. Oh no you are ready for the weekend already, I hope the week flys by for you.

Pam Great job on your 21 mile bike ride with no mishaps. That is nice of your sister to take your mom to live with her though as you said she probably doesn't realize how difficult it could be. That would be nice for you mom to be somewhere that has more family to visit her though it would be harder for you as she would be further away.

This morning I did FS Shred Cardio and added on the bonus abs. After that we went to the Casino for lunch and some gambling. We did pretty good as between the two of us we won about $120 on the penny slot machines. Then we went to the park for ice cream. It was a really nice day and the geese were out and about with their babies.

This morning I did PUQ and GG. When I went to leave for work, Layla was not wanting to get in the crate. DH and I decided to give it a try and see if she does good outside the crate. Sheba is not crated so they are both free to roam but we did block off the bedrooms and kitchen so they are pretty much confined to the living room and hallway. We also have a camera we can check in on them throughout the day. Hoping all goes well.

Pam Great job on your 21 mile bike ride! I wonder if your mom would do better with being with your sister since she is family. But at the same time it will probably be difficult for her to adjust to a home once your sister goes back to work. That would be nice to have more people who could visit her in Michigan. I’m so sorry for the difficult decisions you and your family have to make.

Cheryl Great job on FS Shred Cardio and bonus abs! Sounds like you made out really good off those penny slots. We have tons of geese here. They are constantly stopping traffic by getting in the middle of the road. At the other building where my company is in town, the geese are very territorial and sometimes force people to walk way out of the way to get in the door.
