Strength in Numbers

What a busy day! I won't get into it, I'm sure you all have had days like that. Whew! Tonight was Basic Step plus Abdominal routine add on.

Cheryl, I'm so sorry you aren't able to get some much needed sleep. That just sucks. No slim waistline here either. LOL When the weather starts behaving, then you can get back to your routine. It's hard being in menopause for a lot of people. I did as well, and it does cool down and things get better. Don't worry, just part of life.;) (hugs)

Pam, Those darn lab machines, so sorry they are giving you a lot of problems. OOO You must of had a lot of fun at Piccadilly circus and walking around in Trafalgar Square, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey and then stopping in a pub. How Fun! Be safe coming home tomorrow.

Julie, Great job on Georgeous Glute and the added back work. Your Mom is so lucky to have you to help her. You are such a great daughter. How nice to receive a home gym system, that should come in handy. We use ours not so much but when we do it's nice to know it's there. Happy Stretching!

Janie I have had busy days too, but it does feel good to get everything done. Good job on Basic Step and ab add on. It is hard when it is hot out but at least now it is cooling down at night so it is easier to sleep.

This morning was Crossfire Wow it has been a long time since I have done that one. I felt good after it though. After that it was housework and some running around. It was nice today not too hot, just perfect.

Yesterday was Lower and Upper body. Then moved to the beach house. Lifting heavy bags, going up and down stairs...Today walked the beach with Rolly for 35 min. Also fed the seagulls. Lot of fun.
Did One segment of total Body Stretching plus the ab add on.

Cheryl, So very glad it is easier for you to sleep. Do you have a fan/air conditioner? Great job on Crossfire. Yea! Have a good productive day.

Janie Enjoy your time at the beach house. Good job on your lower and upper body and your walk on the beach. We have a fan but not an air conditioner. I can't sleep with a fan going, the sound drives me mad and I can't stand having wind blowing on me. So when it is hot out I suffer.

So today I decided to do a pilates workout instead of going to yoga. I was missing some of my other workouts so I decided to stay home and do something else. After that it was a lazy day.

Julie Great job on GG and back work. That is great that you are getting a home gym system from your mom. Have fun with those lat pull downs! That was always one of my favorite exercises when I went to the gym. Oh yes, I always expect something to go wrong when working with software, just hate it when so many things go wrong. Especially when there is no good reason for it. Oh well. we still got positive feedback at the end of the week so that was good.

Cheryl Yep, everyone was understanding about the technology isses - they have all been there themselves! Great job on you tabata and core 2. Those tabatas are certainly humbling, aren't they?!

Janie Great job on basic step _abs! Yes, it was a lot of fun walking around London. The guys in the class were teasing me on Friday because I was going to be on my own. They were calling me 'Billy no mates' :D Love that term!

Janie Great job on Lower and Upper body and your add on weight workout with the heavy bags up and down the stairs. Great job on the walk on the beach too, I hope you get many more fun walks on the beach while you are there. Oh boy TBS and abs too, good for you!

Friday afternoon we finished with the class around 3 and then I had a nice time just walking around London and seeing the sites. The weather was just perfect all week so it was really nice for walking around. I found out on Saturday morning that my German colleague who left for the airport at 3:00 on Friday afternoon was still at the airport! He got caught up in the airport being closed for 90 minutes because an Ethiopian plane caught fire on the runway. Poor guy slept on the floor of the airport on Friday and when my flight left Saturday he was still there trying to get rebooked! I got home on time and had a nice relaxing afternoon and evening. Sunday I was awake early because of the time change so I got up and did Rhythmic Step and Horizontal Conditioning Getting Stronger. Then we went for a ski in the morning and I did laundry and errands the rest of the day. This morning I did TTM. Man, it wiped me out! I don't have a rotation on the calendar right now because I am only home for 2 weeks and then am leaving for Japan. I may pick out a rotation just to have something on the calendar though. Happy Monday ladies.

Saturday was a busy day with cleaning, errands, and helping my mom continue to move and unpack. Just when you think she has everything out of the old house, there is more that shows up. Sunday I started my second four-week cycle of Gorgeous Glute work and added on Burn Sets Chest and Shoulders. Then it was lazy time. This morning I did Afterburn Double Trouble premix!

Cheryl Great job on Tabatas 1 & 2 plus Core 2! Those tabatas are hard but I love how you can just do 1 or two and still get a good workout. Great job on Crossfire! I haven’t done that one in forever but I think it is coming up in my rotation. Great job on pilates sub for yoga! Hope you had a fabulous lazy day and that it is cooling off for you.

Oh I feel you on moving heavy stuff up and down stairs. With helping my mom, I have been thankful that I workout or I would be in a world of trouble. Pam That is great that you got positive feedback. Oh what a horrible experience for that poor guy at the airport. Great job on RS + Horizontal Conditioning GS! Looks like you had a very productive Sunday with skiing, the errands, and laundry. Great job on TTM! That one always wipes me out. I’m usually good up until the 30/20 Hiit and then it is downhill fast. Wow Japan sounds like a cool trip.

Rolly and I walked the beach about 45 min. and did 15 min. of Body Fusion. Also did Lower Body hand weight add on. I asked my sister Joy to visit with me while Joey is in MI. She will be here on Wed.

Cheryl, Me too with fans, but I do it anyway. Still better than being so darn awful hot. Great job on pilates workout. Glad to see you enjoy the rest of the day.

Pam, The guys sound like they are hoots. How fun! LOL You are so lucky being able to walk around London. Forgive me, but I've never been to London and only see it in Movies. Are you sure you want to walk alone? LOL So sorry to hear about your friend being stuck in the airport and for so long. :( Welcome back home! Great job on Rhythmic Step and Horizontal Conditioning Getting Stronger. Wow, really? Also for sking in the morning and doing errands. Great job too for this mornings TTM. Pam The tabatas are humbling that is for sure. Nice that you had time to enjoy a bit of London before you had to leave. Your poor colleague, being stuck at an airport is not fun. So no workout, umm you haven't heard that one before have you LOL. I don't know why I am having such a hard time to get up the energy to workout. I am starting two weeks of vacation on Friday so I am hoping to get my energy level back then. Maybe I am just burning out and need a break from work. So at lunch today I decided to take a walk past the hotel where Cory Monteith from Glee was found dead on Saturday. I never did watch the show but it was sad as he was only 31. There were flowers by the entrance to the hotel and a lot of media and cameras. They were interviewing some of the fans that were there too. The autopsy was done today so I guess we will find out what happened when the toxicology report comes back.

Julie Funny, how much stuff a house can hold, isn't it? I know when I was helping my mom move out of her cottage I thought it would never end. Our attic has been collecting a lot of stuff too, every time I walk in there I think we need to do a big purge. The thought of getting started is very intimidating though! Great job on GG, Burn sets back and shoulders and AB Double trouble!

Janie Great job on your walk on the beach and body fusion plus lower body hand weight add on! How nice that your sister is going to come and spend time with you while Joey is out of town. I hope you have a lovely time. From what I have seen, London seems to be quite safe. At least at the hours that I was out, there were always a LOT of people out walking around and riding the trains. Hehehehe, maybe you can go to Japan for me! I have been there a couple of times before but Tokyo is not a bad place to go. The biggest issue is the language barrier. You need to find a teenager or a young person as they all seem to speak English and like to practice.

Cheryl The way I'm feeling with the jet lag right now makes me not at all excited about going to Japan in another week and a half :rolleyes: The time difference there is 12 hours and that usually takes me a full week to recover from. I am really tired today, I'm hoping that today is my worst day. I was very very happy that I didn't get stuck at the airport. He said he ended up getting home at about the same time I did, after being at the airport for more than 24 hours and as of yesterday afternoon nis bag had not yet made it home. I'm glad to hear that you have 2 weeks of vacation coming up. It sounds like it is just what you are needing right now to get rested up and revived. Just 2 weeks without an alarm clock sounds heavenly to me! I was thinking about you when I heard about Cory Monteith - it seems like there is always something happening with celebrities in Vancouver. That is so sad about him dying so young though. I don't watch Glee either and am not sure if I have ever seen him before.

This morning for me was STS Total Body. I was awake well before my alarm clock went off and I'm not sure why I just didn't get up and do my workout, but I kept imagining that I must just fall back asleep. It didn't happen though. Maybe tomorrow.....Have a great day everyone.

This morning I did Gorgeous Glute work and Burn Sets Back. Today was all single leg exercises which are not my favorite because they take twice as long to do. But I suffer through them because I know they are good for me.

Janie Great job on your walk with Rolly plus 15 minutes of Body Fusion and the lower body hand weight add on! How long will Joey be gone for? That will be nice to have your sister visit while he is away. Have a wonderful time with your sister!

Cheryl I hope you find your energy soon. Hopefully the vacation will help. I heard on the radio about that guy. I never watched Glee either so I really don’t have a clue who he is but it is sad that he died at 31. If it was from an overdose that would be even more sad.

Pam Great job on STS TB! I tend to wake up 10-20 minutes before my alarm goes off and feel like I could get up but then I figure, oh well, I’ll just lie here awhile. I usually end up drifting back off to sleep which sometimes makes it hard to get up when the alarm does go off.

Today is scheduled a rest day. Rolly and I went walking on the beach for 35 min. Cleaning house and on 2nd brew of water kefir. Yummmmy probiotic drinks. I managed to bottle 4 peach and 4 strawberry drinks. The Kombucha will be ready Sunday then can bottle them up as well. So good for GERD's or for anyone's digestive system. My sister Joy (I have 3 others) will be here tomorrow. Yea!

Cheryl, I went through a similar slump not to long ago. I don't know what the reason is we do it, but it does take it's sweet time getting back the motivation. Hope you find in your vacation your motivation again. It's such a great feeling to be healthy. Make sure every month you take at least a week off from exercises. It can be active/cardo but no weight lifting. you need it so your body doesn't burn out from exercising. Needs to heal. So sad about Cory.

Pam, If I could go to Japan for you I would. Great job on STS Total Body.

Julie, Great job on Gorgeous Glute work and Burn Sets Back. Joey has been gone a week now or almost. Should be back home in about 2 1/2 weeks or so.

Pam Sorry about the jet lag, you will just be getting over it and then you will have to go to Japan. How long are you going to be there for? That really sucks for you co-worker to get home the same time you did and still not have his luggage. Well at least he is at home now. Good work on STS Total Body today.

Janie Enjoy your rest day. You are probably right that I should take a week off and recover. My mind still thinks I should still be able to do the things that I did in my 20s but my body is telling otherwise :D.

Well I decided that I will just take this week off and not try to force myself to workout. I may do some light cardio or yoga on Friday and Saturday though. So it looks like Cory Monteith died from a combination of Heroin and alcohol. His demons came back to get him, so sad.

Julie Great job on GGs and BS back, especially sticking out all of those single leg exercises. I definitely prefer getting both sides done at the same time, no matter what I am working. I do the same thing, wake up before my alarm and stay in bed waiting for it to go off. Or I hit the snooze a couple of times when I don't wake up early :rolleyes:

Cheryl Well, I'm more tired today than yesterday so guess I am still working through the jet lag. I am managing to stay awake until pretty close to my usual time so it seems like I should be over it...:confused: I leave for Japan on Saturday and leave there to come home on Friday. Of course I won't arrive until Sunday night, so I will really just be there for 4 full days. They will be long days too, because we are teaching what is supposed to be a 4 day class in 3 days...:confused:
It sounds like a good idea not to force yourself to workout. Sometimes a break is exactly what you need to get your energy and motivation back. I saw that about the heroin and alcohol, so sad!

This morning I did Intensity - maybe that has something to do with why I'm so tired? :rolleyes::) I was wondering why Cathe and the crew don't get beet red in the face like I do when I'm working that hard! It just doesn't seem right. Anyway, have a great day all!

This morning I did Burn Sets Biceps and Triceps and then added on 30/30 HiiT! I did the weights first and man 30/30 seemed extra hard when I did it. Not sure if it was because I did the weights first or what. May be that I am tired too.

Janie Good job on your restful walk and cleaning! That’s active recovery for sure. There you go again being all creative and homey. I wish I had the patience to learn how to do those things. I tried canning a few years ago and just didn’t care for how long it took. I must have missed when you said he left. Guess I better learn how to read better. That is a long time for him to be gone.

Cheryl Sounds like a good idea to take the week off. How sad about Cory. In today’s day, I just don’t understand how people let themselves get sucked into street drugs. There is so much news and knowledge out there that shows how uncontrollable, addicting, and damaging they are.

Pam Great job on Intensity! Boy that is one to do when you are feeling tired. I always tell myself that Cathe and crew take breaks which allows them to get sips of water, towel off, reapply makeup, and thus look fabulous while I look like someone has stuffed me into a dryer and turned it on high speed.

My sister and I went for a bike ride. She using the tricycle and I using a two wheeler. Went to the beach and back. It was soooo much fun. Tonight a couple hrs. after dinner I did Basic Step and upper body weight add on. Really go sweaty. Yahoo!

Cheryl, Great job on deciding to take a week off. I think light cardio is excellent and so is practicing yoga. It is sad about Cory Monteith.

Pam, Great job on this morning Intensity. Yep I do believe being tired was because of Intensity. It is very intense. LOL I've often wondered too why the crew don't get beet red. Hmmmmmm

Julie Great job on BS bis/Tris and 30/30. Wow, you must have been energetic (at least BEFORE you did all that!) I usually do cardio before I do weights just because that seems to be how Cathe has it set up in all of her workouts that have both. It definitely could have been the muscle exhaustion that made 30/30 seem harder than usual. I think they MUST be taking breaks when they film these workouts. I hope they aren't doing them right through and still looking so fabulous. I love your analogy about being stuffed into a dryer on high. For me it's the washer on spin cycle I think, because I'm usually soaked too!

Janie Oh it sounds like you had a lovely time with your sister yesterday. How fun going on a bike ride. Great job on your sweaty basic step and upper body weights too! I think that the crew must have people rushing in and misting them and toweling them off. They are probably taking breaks and eating bon bons ;):p

I've been pretty much doing the last week of the May rotation this week since I didn't get to do the whole think the week of the 4th. So this morning was Hiit 40/20 and then I added the abs from 4DS kickbox. Those split leg pulses always kill me! With getting sick and then traveling I totally forgot about my pike obsession. I may need to start back into those again here too. Have a great day, Friday is almost here!

This morning was Power Max. I haven’t done that in a long time. I was feeling fine when I woke up a little tired but now I feel like I have no energy whatsoever. This is going to be one of those days where I wish napping was acceptable at work.

Janie Great job on your bike ride! I would love for DH and I to get bikes but we just haven’t gotten around to it. Great job on BS + upper body weights too! I have usually done cardio first and then weights in the past but decided to mix it up this time. Any energy I had yesterday I think has depleted today. I am hoping tomorrow I get my energy back as it is heavy leg day.

Pam Great job on 40/20 and 4DS KB abs! I hate those split leg pulses. I can’t keep the leg that is supposed to hover over the floor to actually hover, I almost always have to put it on the floor. I would much rather do pikes than those split leg pulses. Yeah I guess the dryer wouldn’t dry me completely out since I do have quite a bit of sweat on me.

Julie Great job on Power max.That is one of the oldies that I really love. Sorry to hear that you were out of energy, I hope it was back fro your heavy leg workout this morning. I really think that all companies should have nap rooms. I have heard of some that do. You just can't get much done if you are so tired like that! A 20 minute nap can make all the difference!

This morning for me was Total Body STS again. I was going to sub in something else since I just did it the other day, but my brain wasn't working well enough to decide what that should be, so I just did it again. I like it and it goes by pretty quickly with no dread factor, so all good. Happy Friday everyone, I'm so glad it's almost the weekend!

This morning was heavy Gorgeous Glute and back work. I had my energy back but my strength was iffy. I made it through though. DH and I have a wedding to go to tonight. Not really looking forward to it because it is hot, hot, hot outside and so humid too. I have a feeling the church is going to be hotter than ... well you know.

Pam Great job on STS TB! I love that one and do agree, no dread and goes by fast. Oh a 20 minute nap would make all the difference. I have read studies that prove that 20 minute naps in the afternoon help workers be more productive. Now to convince my boss.

Pam Wow Japan is a long way to go for 4 days. I don't think you body will know what timezone you are in. Intensity is a tough one on a good day, good for you in getting through it but that is probably why you are so tire.

Julie Good job on Burn Sets Biceps and Triceps and 30/30. I think a lot of the drug problem is from peer pressure and some people do it to feel accepted. I am like you though, I just don't get it.

Well today I did a Bosu Total Body workout and I added in Stretch Max segment 1. After that I got all the housework done. It is hot here too but at least it isn't muggy. I have started my vacation and the weather looks like it will stay hot for a while.
