Rainy. Did 30 min on my stair climber. Getting ready to sell some medicinal soap and jewelry at the Art Center. Putting tags and info on them all day yesterday. Sure hope it's worth it.

Pam, Great job on XTrain Burn set Bis and Tris plus core. I sometimes too want my workouts in a hurry. LOL:D

Julie, Great job on triset rotation for glute/legs inspired by Oxygen (will have to look that up). OOOOO! You know you did a good job once those muscles shake and tremble. Good for you! Awwww, you get a long deserved weekend. Enjoy!

Thank you for the warmer weather wishes. I think it has delayed for some reason, but optimistic it will come soon.;)

Hi everyone,

Thank you for the birthday wishes. I had a great day even though I had to work :(. Sorry about being MIA so often. I am having a hard time finding time to post sometimes in the evenings and then when I miss several days it seems overwhelming to get back to it again. But I will try again :D. I am having trouble staying consistent with my workouts too sigh... I think I really need to kick my own butt and get out of bed no matter how tired I am.

I hope you enjoy your Memorial Day weekend and that you are getting good weather. Our long weekend was last weekend and the weather was so so.

Made cookies for the final day of UFO at the art center. Darn! I wanted it to go on forever. Also wrapped up a lot of soap for the center to sell for me. Wow. Will be wrapping up jewelry next. Just don't know yet if they have display racks. We'll see. Having a hard time pricing them. Did a full body form STS. Wow, I got to keep going on the weight workouts. It was hard and I lost ground. Darn!

Cheryl, So sorry you are so busy that you can't seem to have time for yourself. We miss you. Me to with exercising inconsistently. Jeesh! I know what you are feeling. Kick my butt too for not being more consistent with my exercises too. LOL

Julie great jib on your home grown leg and glute trivet rotation! Heavy, hard, sweaty and fun, it sounds perfect! I worked my legs on Saturday and they were shaking when I was doing my quad stretches afterwards too. I thought that was kind've awesome :) I hope you enjoyed your long weekend. That is way too long to wait for a day off!
Congratulations on your permanent crown and eating back to your chewing ;). I didn't get everything figure Doug for the class this week, but luckily it's just an internal practice session, so hopefully I'll have it worked out before we have to do a really one!

Janie great job on your stair climber workout! how exciting that you are selling some of your creations! I hope that works out well for you. Our warm weather was delayed this year too. It is still not as warm as usual, but it is getting there. At least we didn't get snow this weekend like they did in New York!!

Cheryl I hope you can get things worked out with your schedule. I know it can be really hard and really frustrating! How is your new job going? I hope you are enjoying it!

Janie Great job on your total body STS. Don't be discouraged, some days are just harder than others and you need to apt yourself on the back for doing it!

We planned to ski Friday night but it was so windy that we decided it would be no fun, so we just made a nice dinner and hung out at home. That was nice since we have been gone so much. We also planned to ski early Saturday morning, but it was only 45 degrees! So there was no way. We waitied until about 1:00 when it was warmer but then it was really windy. DH skiied but I didn't. I did do XTrain disc 5 legs that morning since we weren't skiing. After that we drove to our friends beach house for the night, it was beautiful on the beach so I as happy about that. We drove back Sunday afternoon and finally got a good ski in. This morning I did XTrain cardio leg blast then laundry and errands while DH played golf. W are going to try to ski this afternoon, but he is at the Urgent Care right now. His ear has been bothering him and he has no fly tomorrow, so I told. He should go get it checked out before getting on a plane. I hope everyone is having a good weekend. Cheryl, I hope you enjoyed your long weekend last week, sorry the weather wasn't cooperative!

Janie Wow so nice to be selling your creations. I hope it goes well for you. Good job on STS Total Body, don't worry you will get your strength back.

Pam My new job is going well, I am really busy right now and I am enjoying it. Working the longer hours is hard because now I still leave home at 6:20am but I don't get home until around 5:40pm :eek: it makes for a really long day. But at least I get that extra day off every two weeks :D. You sure are not getting nice hot weather, I hope it improves for you soon. Good job on XTrain disc 5 legs and XTrain Cardio Leg Blast. You had a nice long weekend, I hope DH ear is OK. It isn't fun to fly with an ear problem.

Yesterday I went to yoga and then we took our bikes out for a bit of a ride. DH hasn't ridden a bike in a very long time so we took it easy. This morning I got up (YEAH) and did Step Blast. I could tell it has been a while since I have done anything high impact. I was one big blob of goo by the time I was done.

Saturday I spent cleaning my house and helping my mom clean up her house a little. Then I went to my niece’s 8th grade graduation party. Sunday, I did disc 22, chest, shoulders, and triceps and then it was lazy time. Monday was disc 23 and more being lazy. It was rainy the whole weekend. We are getting so much rain I have forgotten what the sun looks like. This morning I did Ride!

Janie Great job on your stair climber! Hopefully you sold a lot of soap and jewelry to make it worth your while. I wouldn’t have a clue how to price things either. I am sure you will figure it out though. Great job on your whole body STS! Isn’t it terrible how fast we can lose ground when we stop working out.

Cheryl I’m glad you had a good birthday! I’m sorry you are having trouble getting in the groove of working out and posting. No worries on stopping by every day here though. Great job on yoga and your bike ride! An easy bike ride sounds good to me. Awesome on getting up and doing Step Blast! Sometimes turning to goo is a nice feeling!

Pam Oh bummer on the cold, windy weather! That would put a damper on skiing! We have had cold, windy, rainy, yucky weather all weekend. I don’t think it has really let up since last Wednesday. I’m glad to see you got at least one ski in over the weekend. Great job on XTrain legs and Cardio Leg Blast! Poor DH. I hope his ear was better for his flight.

Today was beach walking with Rolly for an hour. So beautiful even though there was no sunshine.

Pam, It's so hard to believe that snow is still here and in NY and in May. Wow! Climate changing for sure. Seems to me sometimes just hanging out doing nothing is so divine. There will be more times to get some skiing done. Great job on XTrain disc 5 legs. How nice to have friends that have a beach house to stay the night. Also good to see you did have a skiing adventure on Sun. And for doing XTrain cardio leg blast, laundry and errands. Yes have your honey's ear checked out immediately. Could be very painful for him on the plane if he doesn't.

Cheryl, Great job on yoga and bike riding. Also for doing Step Blast the next day. Good for you! Sounds like you did a fantastic job on it.

Cheryl Well busy can be good when you are enjoying. I'm glad it is working out so well for you. The hours are rough though, but hopefully that every other Friday off makes up for that. Great job on yoga and your bike ride. I tried to get my DH to get a bike so that we can ride, but he has no interest. Now I hardly ride my bike because it's no fun to ride alone. Our weather seems to be steadily improving. Hopefully it will be nice this coming weekend since we will be at the beach again. Great job getting up and doing Step Blast!! I love your description :D

Janie Great job on your nice long beach walk! Oh yes, it is wonderful to have friends with a beach house. In fact, this weekend we are going to a different beach and different friends place :D

DH got his ear cleaned out, it was all clogged with wax. Ick. He was so relieved to have it done though. We didn't get to the lake afterwards, but the ear was more important. This morning was XTrain burn sets chest, back and shoulders. I'm getting a little tired of the burn sets as I have been doing them every week now for about 5 weeks since I started this rotation over after a couple of weeks. The workout still goes by really fast though, and I was able to do a couple more reps on several of the burn sets than I did last week, so that was good. I guess I was stressed out about our training session today because I woke up in the middle of the night while dreaming about it. I thought I was supposed to present today, but it's not til Thursday :rolleyes: Hopefully I don't stress over it every night! Hope everyone is having a good day!

Julie Good job on clean max, disc 22 and 23. Sorry that you had bad weather for your long weekend. I know that feeling of forgetting what the sun looks like. It has been doing nothing but raining here for the past week. It felt good to feel like goo, it had been a while.

Janie Nice job on your walk on the beach with Rolly.

Pam Too bad that your DH doesn't want to bike riding with you. It isn't fun doing it by yourself. The only time I do that is when I take my bike to yoga. I hope you will get good weather this weekend so you can enjoy the beach. I am tired of the cold wet weather we are having. Glad that your DH ear problem wasn't serious. Good work on XTrain burn sets chest, back and shoulders. Sounds like you are improving in your strength but I agree that 5 weeks of it would get a bit tiring. See what Cathe has in store next month. You must be stressed out if you are dreaming about your presentation. Don't worry I have confidence in you that it will go great!

Oh what a day.......
I woke up at 3:50am to my alarm and another alarm that went off somewhere when our power came back on. I guess it had gone out around 2am. So I got up and re-set the clocks and went down to my workout room. I was just finishing up the warm up when the power went out again :mad:. So I fumble my way back upstairs to find the candles and then sat around for a while wondering what to do. I didn't want to go back to bed in case I fell back to sleep so I just played on my phone for a while and then had a quick shower. I couldn't wash my hair yuck and I had to try to get my makeup on with a candle and the flashlight app that I have on my phone :rolleyes:. And then I had to try to do something with the hair and oh my my hair doesn't do mornings very well. I couldn't have coffee so when I got downtown I made a bee line to Starbucks to get my caffeine fix. And it was raining so hard out that I was drenched by the time I got to the office. Oh well tomorrow is another day.

Getting ready to go for a walk on the beach and try to find clam shells. Was experimenting with a clam shell and found out I can draw tangles inside of it. Thought maybe I could sell them at the art center gallery this Summer. What do you think? Just use a bead reamer to make a hole on top and I could make pendants out of them.

This morning was disc 24, back & biceps. I love the dropsets in this one because it makes the workout fly by. It is still raining. I know I shouldn’t be complaining but come on Mother Nature. Give us a break!

Janie Great job on walking on the beach with Rolly for an hour! Your weather must have turned around if you could do that. I can’t wait to see how your sales go in July. I bet you will have a blast just being involved. How creative! I love the drawing inside the clam shell. I think you could totally sell them at the art center.

Pam Oh I am so sorry about your stressful sleep. That is the pits to wake up feeling stressed about something especially when it is still a day or so away. I’m glad DH got his ear cleaned out. I am sure it feels much better for him. Great job on XT BS CBS! It can be boring doing the same thing every week for sure. My next rotation is like that and I hope I survive.

Cheryl All this rain is making me feel like I live in the Northwest like you and Janie. Wow what a day is right! Hopefully staying up will help with getting in the groove of getting up early in the mornings. I hope you had a better day after all that trouble.

Julie Good work on disc 24 back and biceps. I feel for ya with all the rain, that is all that we are getting too. It gets to be a bit much after a while doesn't it. Welcome to the Pacific Northwest LOL.

I didn't get up early to workout today because I know I can't do more than two days of early mornings before I need to take a day off. Today was better than yesterday though, we had power so it was much easier getting ready for work. Anyway I will get up early tomorrow morning to get my workout in.

This morning I did disc 34, plyo legs. And if that wasn’t enough to get my heart going this morning I had a little surprise while in the shower. I leaned back to rinse my hair out and when I opened my eyes there was a huge spider dangling in front of my face. I about died right then and there. Good news is the sun came out yesterday afternoon long enough for DH to mow our severely overgrown grass. Still shining today but I guess thunderstorms are in the works for the weekend.

Cheryl Well I hope you get some sunshine soon. It is so depressing to see all the rain. The farmers are probably pitching a fit because a lot of the fields have huge lakes in them now from all the rain.

Yesterday was a very long windy sprinkle day at the beach. Rolly and I searched for clam shells and surprisingly didn't find as many as we'd liked. Where did they go? I guess it's a seasonal thing. Hmmmm We stayed out there for a couple of hours and brought home half a dozen various kinds of shells. Still worth it for the long walk though. Will be going to the Art Center to volunteer to make pendants for a few hours.

These ladies are so great. First impression for the exception of one are kind generous and know their arts and crafts. The exception is an extreme large woman by the name of Pamela. I sat with her at one time and when I tried to make conversation with her she said nothing back to me. Hmmmm I found out she had gotten a job and I read or thought she won't be coming back to the UFO group. So I made her a pair of earrings and a pendant out of mood beads. Turns out she still will be at the UFO group meetings and told her my confusion and gave the jewelry set to her anyway. She thanked me but I still don't know if she liked them or not.

It may not have been her taste. However, I saw she was smiling more and joking this time around. I need to get to know this personality. She reminds me of a female version of Steven Seagal. (not a favorite of mine) The very black hair pulled back in front. Hoping to get to know her better so I can see her in a better light.

Julie, Great job on disc 24, back and biceps. Love those drop sets too. I love tricking the body into doing more than it thinks. LOL Crazy drizzling/stormy rain and breezy all the month of May except for several days in the beginning. Jeesh. Hope the tangled/doodle shells sell too. We'll see, you just never know. I am having so much fun with this art center and the people.

Cheryl, I was at the beach when there just happen to have a break in the weather. As soon as I stepped inside the house it was pouring down rain. Was very lucky I didn't get caught in it. It sucks when the power goes out.

Cheryl Yea, I really thought bike riding would be a fun thing to do together but he just isn't into it at all. Oh well. That means my bike hasn't been getting much use though :( Luckily we are supposed to have beautiful weather all weekend it has been sunny and in the mid to upper 80s this week and is supposed to stay that way through the weekend :) I am currently doing Cathe's April rotation and May is supposed to be a continuation, but it's different workouts and looks great, so my plan is the do that next. I don't know why I've been so stressed about this presentation since it's just with my team, but for some reason I get more stressed about presenting to my team than doing 'real' classes. :rolleyes: Strange.... I appreciate your confidence, it did go just fine :) OMG, you had a terrible day. I hate it when the power goes out and messes up the clocks, but then to get up and start a workout must have been so frustrating. My hair is an absolute mess if I can't blow dry it and then to get soaked again on the way into work. That is one of those days that you wish you could just turn around and spend the rest of the day in bed! Thank goodness for Starbucks at least!

Janie Your clam shell pendant is so cool and so unique! I bet it will be a popular item at the art center gallery. You are just SO creative!

I hope you are getting a break from all of that rain!! i was a little mad on Tuesday when I realized I didn't have to present that day. The guy who was organizing this really didn't do a very good job. He should have put out an agenda so people knew when to be prepared. Oh well, no big deal but it was annoying. I just have one more week with the XTrain Burn set rotation so I think I will stick it out. I think in the next month she uses the gym style workouts for the weight work. I hardly ever do those so that will be a nice change.

Cheryl I'm glad to hear that you had a better morning than the previous one, that was one crazy morning! I'm with you, I like to have a sleep in day in the middle of the week if I am getting up crazy early like that. I don't know how Julie does it every day!

Janie Oh isn't that frustrating going out searching for clam shells and there are so few of them when you are used to seeing a ton?! I'm glad to hear that you were able to find some that you can use though. I think it is so fantastic that you found this place, it sounds like just the perfect fit for you. I did cringe a little when you said the exception is named Pamela!!! ;) I love your attitude though, you are giving her the benefit of the doubt which is really wonderful. How sweet of your to make her earrings and a pendant. She may not be used to such a kind soul and just may not know how to react, so hopefully your kindness and generosity will help to warm her up.

Yesterday I was so busy at work that I forgot to post, I realized it late last night and then was just too tired. I did do Hiit 40/20 and stability ball abs yesterday morning and To the Max this morning. I have noticed several times during my workouts lately (including both yesterday and today) that I am getting much more worn out than usual and questioning if I am going to be able to finish the workout. :confused: I'm not really sure what is going on there, I'm thinking I may not be eating enough protein. Any other thoughts? Has this ever happened to any of you? I wouldn't be as concerned if it had only been once, but this is about the 4th time now in a couple of weeks :confused: I slept fine last night so don't think it's a lack of sleep issue..... I'd appreciate any ideas. Hope everyone had a great day!

Janie Too bad you didn't find as many shells as you wanted but it is still nice to get out in the fresh air. Sometimes it take a while to get to know someone, she may be shy and it will take a while before she becomes comfortable with you. Or it might be that the two of you may not mesh together at all. I would start by saying hi to her when you see her and then see if the more of a conversation comes out of it.

Pam I think we get more stressed when we are doing a presentation for people we know because we want to make more of an impression as we think they will judge us harsher than people we don't know. I am the same way, the last interview I had I knew both of the interviewers and I was really nervous. They both mentioned it to me after I had got the job that they had never seen me so nervous. Yep Tuesday was not a good day I was so happy to be able to wash my hair the next day and blow dry it. I was tempted to phone in and crawl back into bed but I had two meetings that day so I had to go in. I started feeling worn out and not sure if I could finish my workouts quite a while ago. Now I am having problems even getting out of bed even after 7 to 8 hours of sleep. My doctor told me that it was just the stage of life I was in (menopause) but now it is really annoying me. It could be your diet, I think I need to look at mine because I need to see my doctor tomorrow about my kidneys. I may need to go to a kidney friendly diet and I hope that helps with the fatigue as that is a symptom of kidney disease. I would take a look at what you are eating and see if you are short in protein or something else. If that doesn't help I would go see your doctor and see if something else is causing it. I don't know if this helps or not.

So as I was telling Pam I have been dealing with fatigue and I could not get out of bed to workout this morning. I am so fustrated right now. I hope my doctor has something to tell me tomorrow on what I can do to get my energy levels back. I am doing an obstacle course race on Saturday so I hope that I am not feeling too wiped out to do it as it is too late to back out of it.

This morning I did a spin video, not Cathe. Ok, I’m gonna sound like a broken record here but all this rain is making me sad. The amount of rain we are getting is just ridiculous. The fields are full of rivers and lakes when they should be full of corn and soybeans. Some areas here have gotten over 7 inches of rain since last Saturday and we are supposed to get 3 more inches by Sunday morning. Ok, rant over.

Janie I’m glad you are having a good time at the art center. Some people are not social people. I will admit that while I am talkative here, I am quite an introvert and prefer to keep to myself. This lady may just be an introvert who has a hard time opening up or maybe she was having a bad day.

Pam Great job on 40/20 and SB abs and TTM! I’m glad your presentation went well. Now that is over with and you don’t have to think about it anymore. Hmm! I am not sure what is going on with your energy levels. I have found that by switching my diet to mostly fruits, veggies, and some beans, nuts, and seeds that I have more energy than when I was trying eat a diet high in protein. Carbs are what give you energy not protein so it could be you need more high quality carbs. Whatever it is, I hope you can get the energy level you are used to back.

Cheryl I am sorry about your fatigue and energy levels. That is frustrating. I hope the doctor can help you out as well. Maybe taking the end of the week off from workouts is a good thing with the obstacle race coming up Saturday. I know I am a little younger than you ladies but changing my diet has really been the best thing for me energy wise. I had eating a weight lifting diet that was about equal protein to carbs (maybe even a little higher protein) and I just had huge energy issues. I would get through my workouts but it was a struggle. Since upping my carb intake, lowering my protein intake, and upping my healthy fat intake, I haven’t noticed a struggle energy wise. Not sure if that will work for everyone, but wanted to give my experience.

Julie Good work on your spin video. I feel for you with all the rain. We put up with that quite a bit here and yes it can make you feel sad. Sorry no advise on how to get through it. I need to look at my diet too. I don't eat bad but I know it can be improved. I remember when I was in my 30's I had energy to burn and even up until I turned 47 then it started to go downhill. I need to take a good look at what I am eating this weekend and see how I can improve it.

So I went to the doctor today and she wants to send me for an ultrasound on my kidneys. She said that my readings aren't normal for someone my age and wants to check things out further. If there is nothing found with that then I will be going to a kidney specialist. Oh the joys of getting older :rolleyes:. Tomorrow is the Spartan race at Mt. Seymour. There is still snow at the top of the mountain so that should be fun. I will let you know how it goes.

Pam, I hope the clam shell idea takes off too. LOL Poor thing! In no way was this intended for you to cringe. OMG! I love you girl! To bad the other Pam and I won't be seeing each other very often. Because I'd like to get to know her. The next group meeting is this Thurs. Should have been the last one Tues. but so far there has been two more meetings and the one coming up on Thurs. LOL. I'm glad to be around other people besides Joey and me. And getting to know people with the same interest. Now if they would only exercise I'd have a perfect world. LOL Great job on Hiit 40/20 and stability ball abs. Then To The Max the next day. Not enough protein, not getting enough sleep, stressed out, coming down with something all can make you more tired. Do you have a low grade fever? Hope you find out soon. I need more energy too, I think.

Cheryl, I agree with you about maybe it takes time for her to get to know someone. I will take your advice on how to get to know her. I got some more fresh air today looking for shells. Wonderful outside. Please tell us what the doc says about getting your energy back. I think I need some of that too. Good luck in your obstacle course race tomorrow.

Cheryl I think you are right about getting more stressed with people we know.it seems like it should be the opposite,but I guess we want them to respect us. Wow, your fatigue do note sound good at all, I hope that the Doctor can figure something out. I am able to get up and get going with my workouts with no problem,but partway through I just seem to be running out of juice. I have been able to continue and finish so far, but it bothers me. It annoys me when Doctors just seem to ignore you and write it off as aging. I am not a person who runs to the doctor for every little thing, so when I do go I expect them to take me seriously. I had a Doctor like that and I switched Doctors. I hope that your obstacle course race goes well today, I can't wait to hear about it!

Sorry you are having so much rain, gang would be really depressing. It can't be good at all for the farmers, I hope things improve soon!
Now that my first presentation is over I have to learn everyone else's too so that I can teach she whole class. The first one is in two weeks in Austin and I have to spend the next two weeks learning everything else. The good thing though is that there will be 2 instructors for the classes for awhile so that will help. Maybe I will take your advice on the diet, I really don't pay a lot of attention to my diet in general, other than trying not too eat too much junk. I am too stubborn to quit, or even just pause and take a rest when I probably should, but I can close to pausing my DVD and sitting Odin for a little while. Of course, I didn't do that....


Cheryl when do you go for your ultrasound? I sure hope it is as simple as a change in diet! I hope that the Spartan race goes well today!

Yesterday morning I did burn set bis and tris and core number 1. I pretty much know the warmup to that one by heart now so I think it's time for something new. Then I worked until 1:00 and drove to the beach. It was a nice drive, 3 hours and moved right along. It looks like it's going to be a beautiful weekend.
