Penguin Nice that you could enjoy being outside today. Your hubby bought a trainer plane......does that mean he is going to be learning how to fly?

Today I did yoga and stretching at home instead of going to Lululemon. We had to get out to my parents early to check on it and then I went with my Aunt's and cousins to another cousins fiance's bridal shower. It was a lot of fun and there were a ton of people there. They are getting married at the end of April.

Julie Great job on HS on Friday. I have never done that whole workout, only one of the Timesaver premixes. I think I need to give the whole thing a try! I hate those weeks when you can't get any work done because you spend all of your time in meetings. Hopefully you were able to get a lot done on Friday.

Cheryl I think the weekend helped me a lot with getting caught up on sleep and back to east coast time. It was so nice to just sleep until I woke up instead of setting an alarm. That stinks that you still woke up at 4:30 on Friday, but you're right, at least you were able to stay in bed :) Great job on LIC! I hope the weekend helped you get back on track with the time change too. How nice that you got so much done on Friday to free up your weekend for fun! I hope you got some in. :D

Penguin You day sitting on the backyard swing sounds just heavenly1 what a great place to hang out for a few hours! Oh no, so sorry to hear about your fall, I sure hope that your ankle is feeling better.

Janie Great job on Gym Style Back, shoulders and biceps! You are exactly right about 30/30, short, tough and efficient. That is hard to beat!
I am STILL feeling DOMS today from Fridays workout so I guess it did the trick :D

Penguin Oh wow, your hubby had quite the long day on Saturday, huh? I hope he enjoyed the meeting and you enjoyed your day of knitting, ready, swing sitting and weeding. It all sounds pretty good to me except for the weeding. :rolleyes: I think you were smart to give your ankle a break, you don't want to take any chances! We had a beautiful day Saturday too, but yesterday and today are cooler :confused: I am ready for the warm weather to stay!

Cheryl Oh how nice that you slept in until 7, I bet that felt great! Great job on SC and the su/pu combo! I did that one yesterday.

Saturday I took as my rest day since Carl had a track meet and we went to watch him run. So we had a lazy morning and then went to the meet. In the afternoon I went and did some shopping while DH played golf and then we went out for dinner for a friends birthday. Yesterday I did Supercuts+core #1. NOW I know what you were talking about with those crazy sit out things (or whatever she calls them in that video)! I had to watch that move a couple of times when I first did that video to figure out what the heck they were doing. Those really do get the heart pumping too. I had forgotten all about those (maybe I had purposely blocked them from my memory? :rolleyes::confused:) The rest of the day yesterday I spent cooking and doing laundry and now here it is Monday again already! I hope everyone has a great day, spring officially starts this week! :D

Saturday was a day for cleaning my house, cleaning and cooking at my mom’s, and running errands. No workout. DH wanted to watch the UFC fight with my BIL so my sister came over. They stayed until midnight. Way past my bedtime. I was able to get up the next morning though and do Pure Strength Legs and Abs and add on 100 hip thrusts. This morning I can feel my legs got quite the workout but I am still passing the toilet test. I did the Circuit Blast from CrossFire this morning.

Cheryl Great job on LIC plus getting your housework and errands done! Wow that sounds fantastic sleeping until 7! I bet it was because you were relaxed with knowing you got all your cleaning and errands done. Great job on Supercuts! That is a very tough combo. I start out strong and by the 3rd or 4th round I am really slowing done. Hope you enjoyed your lazing around day! Great job on yoga and stretching. A late April wedding sounds like a beautiful time to get married.

Penguin Oh I am so sorry about your ankle. It’s good that you are giving it rest time. Well I hope April still had fun at the park. Sounds like you had beautiful weather if you could sit out on the swing and enjoy some relaxation.

Janie Great job on GS BSB! Good job on working on your eating. I have found that when I don’t try to go all or nothing with eating good, I do a better job. So if I focus on just making small changes to my eating habits a little at a time, I do so much better than if I vow to eat only healthy all the time. I don’t know if that makes sense or helps or not. Oh I hope everything goes well with your daughter’s surgery.

Pam Your weekend looked packed but seems like you worked in some fun there. I like those sit outs but have to slow down a little as the set finishes just to maintain my balance. I think what you have been missing on Hardstrikes is the conditioning drills. They are mostly upper body/core but adds a nice touch to the workout. I know what you mean about the weekend flying by so that before you know it is Monday again. I cannot wait until end of May when we get a 3 day weekend.

It rained last night and this morning but finally stopped. Poor April was outside hiding in her doghouse through some of it this morning. I let her outside then the sky opened up.

My ankle is much better so I did premix 6-10 of Cathe's Imax 3, about 40min.

The plane is a radio controlled plane, to learn how to fly them {so when it crashes its still flyable?}. He left it at the house of the guy who drove, and now they guy wants it, so he's 'offering a deal that Hubby can't refuse!" We'll see how that goes. :p I think the plane wouldn't fit in Hubby's car so he'll have to go back with the truck.

Julie Well it sounds like you had quite the big weekend of cleaning and cooking. How is your mom doing? I hope she is recovering well. It really helps to have that to look forward to!

Penguin We had a nasty cold rainy day yesterday. Today is supposed to be beautiful though so hopefully at some point I'll get outside to enjoy it! Poor April being stuck out there! I'm glad that your ankle is feeling better, great job on your Imax 3 premix! An ok, I understand about the plane now,
do you think DH will take his friend up on his offer? That is funny! Oh, I ordered the new Cathe DVDs last week too! :D

I realized that I never told you what workout I did yesterday. Yesterday was the original Imax and today was High Step Challenge. I thought about you Julie because this is where she says we don't want anything to jiggle unless it's jiggling off. That always makes me laugh! I started doing Cathes June 2010 rotation for a change of pace. I'm pretty sure I've done this one before, but I like it. It has an Imax and a Hiit workout each week. Happy Tuesday everybody!

Yesterday morning the DOMS from PS Legs wasn’t so bad but by the afternoon I could hardly walk right anymore. I guess they were really delayed. I was glad this morning was PS Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps to give my legs some rest time. I also added on Rear Delt work from XTrain. Hopefully I can try to get some of the blood flowing in them and DOMS flushed out today.

Penguin Oh poor April getting caught in the rain. Good thing she had a doghouse to give her some shelter. Great job on Imax 3 premix! I am so glad your ankle is better. That’s funny about the plane and the guy making an offer you hubby can’t refuse. LOL! Did you order the whole discount bundle so you could get the free greatest hits compilation? I’m interested to see what she does for that one.

Pam Great job on Imax (original style!) and HSC! I like that saying of Cathe’s too (obviously from my signature line). Only thing is I wish it were true that you could jiggle off the jiggly parts. My mom is doing pretty well, thank you for asking. She is able to get around better each week and even went grocery shopping last Friday. Oh I would love to take some long weekends. I might on Easter weekend. Not to do anything fun but maybe do some spring cleaning since there is never enough time on the weekend to do that.

Well I found out today that I got a job that I had interviewed for. I am so relieved because if I didn't get it my wages would have gone down by thousands of dollars at the beginning of April. I have been really stressed and I think this is part of the reason I have been so tired and haven't slept well. So I did do a bit of a weight workout on Monday night I was way too tired to get up early to do it and today it just wasn't happening. I am hoping that I will be able to sleep well tonight because I won't be worrying about money.

Julie Oh Boy, that was SDOMS (SERIOUSLY Delayed Onset!) I hope they are doing better today! Great job on PS Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps and read delts! Ewwww...taking vacation time for spring cleaning - that just doesn't seem right! It really feels good to get that done though.

I like those sit outs too, but they really get my heart rate up! I have to walk around a little when I'm done. Great job on your weight work on Monday night, I hope you got a great sleep last night!

This morning for me was Power max, an oldie but a goodie! It starts out a little slow and repetitive, but I really like the last 2 sections a lot. Especially the repeaters where you go all the way around the step and then shoot over it. They are so much fun. It's really interesting to see how much to workouts have changed over the years too. Once again this week seems to be dragging by, I kept thinking it was Thursday and it is only Wednesday. :confused: It's the first day of spring, but we are supposed to have a low of 31 tonight! This weather has been so wacky! Anyway, enough whining from me! Have a great day everyone!

So this morning I could not drag myself out of bed. I wasn’t necessarily tired and needing sleep. I just wanted to lay there in the warmth of my bed. I finally got up about 45 minutes after the alarm went off and did Stretch Max band routine since that is all I had time for. I also did some foam rolling because PS Legs really did my quads in, right above my knees. I think it was those sit-n-stands that did it. I haven’t done them in forever.

Cheryl CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! That is such a big weight off your shoulders. I was hoping something good would happen for you. I am hoping you got wonderful sleep as well with the stress gone.

Pam Great job on Power Max! I haven’t done any of the old step workouts in so long. I think I am little leery of my step ever since I broke my foot. I’ve got to get over that. Oh boy, that is not good thinking it is later in the week than it is. That really makes the week long. Here’s hoping Friday comes fast and the warm weather of Spring comes faster!

Thumper, Haven't heard any more about The Deal. So I"m not sure what is going on there. I need to ask.

Julie, I ordered everything but the Cycle workout. No bike. I still have Cycle Max in the wrapping from that preorder. I kept thinking I"d try it on the treadmill but never have.

Pam, it looks beautiful outside, the sun is shining but its chilly and the wind is blowing which makes it even colder. No swing sitting today.
 
Pam Thanks Pam. It is a hugh relief to know I have the job. Good work on Power Max. I don't think I have that one. It is interesting to see how much the workouts have changed. The week is dragging for me too, I am really looking forward to the weekend.

Julie There are days when you just can't do it. At least you could fit in stretch max band routine. Those sit-n-stands are hard. Thaks Julie yes it is a big weight off of my shoulders.

Penguin Thanks about the job. Too bad it is too cold to get outside. Maybe tomorrow you will be able to sit on the swing.

Well I didn't sleep as well as I had hoped but it was better than before. I did manage to get up early and did the Tabata premix 3 which was the first three rounds + core 1.

Julie Sometimes it is just better to stay in that warm bed. The last two weeks I've been very tempted to stay in bed pretty much every morning. Good for you for still getting in I stretch max routine and foam rolling! Oh man, those sit and stands are killers!!! I did the hover squats in HSC this week for the first time in a long time and had forgotten how evil those are too! I don't blame you for being leery of your step. I'm that way with my BOSU now. I think I have only used it twice since I sprained my ankle. I really need to start working it into my routine. The good news was that yesterday seemed to go by really quickly so now it really IS Thursday. I'm ready for a weekend that isn't filled up with plans. I have Girls Night Out tonight and a cooking class tomorrow night, but no plans after that. :D I really do hope that Spring weather comes soon. As soon as it became officially spring our temperature dropped :confused: We are often water skiing by now, but no way this year!

Penguin Sorry it wasn't warm enough for the swing yesterday. That wind really does get you doesn't it? This morning it didn't seem too bad outside and then the wind starting blowing and it cut right through my jacket :( Come on Spring!!!

Cheryl Sorry you didn't get a great sleep, but I'm glad that it was better at least. It sounds like you had a fair amount of energy if you were able to do 3 rounds of tabata and core! Great job!

This morning was Muscle Max for me. Another one that I haven't done in awhile. I thought that the static lunges were never going to end! I've been adding hamstring stretches at the end of all of my workouts, although I'm not sure if it is helping them or not. I have my first PT appointment next week so we'll see what they have me do. My DH keeps warning me that it is going to hurt :confused: I hope not! Have a great day!

Got back yesterday. Tried to do a little catch up and time got ahead of me. Monique is doing well, and my grandson Cody is amazing. When I left they seemed healthy and happy. Will update later as what workout I did today.

This morning I did Pure Strength Back, Biceps, and Abs! I really like the t-bar rows but I think that is the only workout Cathe does them in. Today has been super busy at work so I don’t have much time to chat but hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Penguin I’m not sure how the cycle videos would work with a treadmill. I’ve heard of people doing it but I am just not creative enough to visualize how they do it.

Cheryl Great job on 3 Tabatas + core 1! It might take a while for you to get that good sleeping pattern back. Yes, those sit-n-stands are torture. There was only 10 in PS and Cathe’s legs were visibly shaking after the 5th one!

Pam Great job on MM! Hopefully the stretches you have been adding will help. I have heard PT hurts too but have never gone through it myself. I’ve also heard that even though it hurts it helps. So I guess that is something. Guess we both need to get the courage up to get back on our step/BOSU. That sounds like a good way to end the work week/start the weekend with a few fun things and then no plans after that.

This morning it was Lower Body Trisets. After work we had to take Tango to the vet. His left eye is red all the time. This is the third time he has been in for it. This time he got a cortisone shot so I hope it gets better this time. The vet thinks that he has an allergy so we also picked up some eye drops to use. Now we have to figure out what he is allergic to.

Butters gets pink eye a lot and when he does he is constantly trying to rub his eye on something. I have drops from the vet that work wonders clearing it up luckily. I hope Tango is doing better soon, I can't imagine trying to figure out what he;s allergic to!

This morning for me was 40/20. Man, it was hard! My legs were on fire! Those 60 second breaks are the best though, they come when you really need them. They sure do fly by though! Happy Happy Friday ladies, have a great weekend!

This morning I did CTX Leaner Legs! It had sit-n-stands. I wonder if I will be able to sit or stand tomorrow!

Cheryl Great job on LBT! Oh poor Tango. Allergies in pets are no fun. We are trying to figure out what Ozzie is allergic to right now. Oh boy, giving eye drops to a cat sounds like a treat.

Janie Great job on Yoga Relax! Oh I love that one too. It is actually the only yoga I can say I love but it always makes me feel so relaxed and stretched out.

Pam Great job on 40/20! I almost always have calf DOMS after that one. Must be all the jumping onto the higher step. I think Cathe’s rest timer goes fast and the work timer goes slow. You are right the stretches shouldn’t be hurting anything. I did make it through the day and now I am catching up on yesterday today. But at least it is finally Friday!!!!

Janie Good job on Yoga Relax. I have no idea what he is allergic to. We have tried eliminating some things but no luck.

Pam I was sleeping better until last night. I set my alarm to get up early but I was so tired I went back to sleep. His eye bothers him sometimes, I will find him rubbing it. We have drops that so far seem to be working. At least they are over the counter so we don't need a prescription for it. Good job on 40/20 that is one that I haven't done is a very long time. I remember loving those 60 second breaks.

Julie Good work on Leaner(Meaner) Legs. Ummm are you able to sit or stand??? I also remember that one at the end on the last set of calf raises where they forget to count the reps. Actually Tango is quite a good patient. It isn't too hard to give him the drops.

Well as I told Pam I was going to workout this morning but I didn't get a good nights sleep and there was no way that I was getting out of bed. I reset my alarm and fell into a deep sleep again. It was brutal when the alarm went off again. At least it was Friday and I had a lot to do so the day went by really fast.
