Strength in Numbers

This morning I did Cycle Max scrambled premix and added on the triceps extensions. So happy it is Friday. My week has been stressful and I think that may be why I wasn’t sleeping well so hopefully I can rest up this weekend.

Janie Great job on Supercuts! Good for you for listening to your body and not doing the bicep work. I’m sure you will get there with core work. It is tough but I modify to get me through or stop early and take an extra rest here and there.

Penguin What a treat to be able to go to Bible study instead of watching the kiddies. Ooh! I love Chili’s. I haven’t been there in forever though. I used to get calf cramps at night and then I started taking a magnesium supplement before bed. That seemed to help. I haven’t tried stopping taking it to see if the cramps come back. Have a wonderful weekend with your DH!

Pam Great job on subbing in TTM for a more enjoyable workout! Yea!!! Those 100 reps got your triceps good then I see. That is a relief that you can work out the knee problems without surgery. I wonder if you will get massages to loosen those hamstrings up or what the PT will entail. Hope it all goes well and gets the job done fast.

Have a great day!

Julie Great job on Cycle max scrambled and the tricep extensions! I definitely need to do that tricep challenge more often, mine are still really feeling it! I'm glad your stressful week is over and I hope you get to relax and enjoy your weekend! Yes, I was so happy to find out physical therapy is all I need. My first appt isn't until the end if March though, I think I will try to see if they can give me something sooner.

This morning was Supercuts and core 1. I actually kept up with Cathe and crew on the su/pu combo. I'm guessing I wasn't going as low as they were on push ups though! Yesterday it was 65 here and right now it is snowing, how crazy!! Have a great Saturday ladies!

Pam

Last night I couldn't get on Cathe's server.
I did XTrain standing legs.
Here is the latest portrait of my nephew (Rusty) and his fiance (Amber). It's called "Young Love".

Penquin, Sounds like you enjoyed your Bible study class since Thanksgiving. It's always nice to be with family for lunch and a friend visiting. Those calf cramps are really sore the next day. Try and use a foam roller on it. Be sure to get your stretches in too. It may help with cramps. Enjoy your hubby being home.

Pam, Great job on TTM. Yep, very sweaty! I'm glad you found out what is wrong with your knee. Wondering if a foam roller will help in that area. I bet it would. Look on line to see how to roll the hamstring area.

Julie, My goal is to be able to do those core workouts in XTrain Supercuts. LOL Great job on Cycle Max scrambled prem and the added triceps extensions.

Pam, Great job on this morning's Supercuts and core 1. You are incredible for being able to do the core. Wow. The weather changes you are having must be rare. Doesn't seem right.

Take care ladies,

Janie

Pam Good job on all 5 sections of tabatacise.

Julie How annoying that you had trouble sleeping, but you did great to get up and do Burn Sets CBS and 100 Scarecrows.

Penguin Your hubby does travel a lot for his job and it all seems like it is last minute never planned in advance. Way to go on your 35 minutes on the treadmill.

Janie Way to go on Burn Set Chest and Triceps and core #1.

Pam Good job on Burn Sets Bis and Tris, core #2 and the 100 lying tricep extensions. I haven't done any of the 100 rep challenges yet. So adorable of your DH to line up all of your beanie babies. I can see why you thought you had an audience for your workout.

Julie Glad that you finally had a good nights sleep and how nice of your DH to let you and Maggie have the bed all to yourselves. Good job with Yoga Relax.

Janie Good work on Supercuts the ab work at the end is something isn't it. Take care of your arm you don't want to injure it any more than it already is.

Penguin Ouch calf cramps really do hurt. Make sure you try to stretch it out. Treadmill work can be really boring watching TV or a movie does help.

Pam Good job on To the Max. Glad that your knee issues are treatable. Hamstrings are tight for a lot of people probably stretching them out will help with your knee issues too.

Julie Good work on the scrambled premix for Cycle Max and the added triceps extensions. Hopefully you can de-stress this weekend. It is not fun to be stressed about work.

Pam Good work on Supercuts and core #1. Good for you in keeping up with the su/pu combo that is really tough. Crazy weather for you hopefully it will warm up again for you.

Janie Great picture of your nephew and his fiance. Good work on XTrain standing legs.

Well I have been gone for a while again. Wednesday I woke up all stuffed up (I think it was from the air conditioning at our team building workshop). So I didn't feel up to working out and then we did our grocery shopping after work so by the time we got home it was too late to be able to post. Thursday I did Supercuts I decided not to post as they were going to be moving the server over and I didn't want to lose my post. Friday I did a BOSU workout and I tried to post but I couldn't get onto the site. Friday was also a very long commute home as there was a police incident on the tracks which held us up almost two hours . Saturday I did the XTrain Leg workout premix #6 that had the barre and stability ball and floor work. After that I was going to do the housework but made the mistake of taking out the garbage and then was outside for close to 1 1/2 hours talking to the neighbours. So after that we had a bunch of running around to do so no housework got done. Today was yoga and then went out to my parents house to check up on it. Whew now I am catching up with all of the posts that I missed.

I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Everytime I've tried to get on CN for the past few days I've gotten an 'error:file not found' message. I finally thought to google CN to see if it was the link and apparently it was. Nice to be back. Weird!

Hubby and I had to get me a new phone, because the old one was dying. So I ended up with a smart phone based on I can change the size of the print which I couldn't do in other phones. I'm not thrilled about it, too much stuff I have to learn to use and too much stuff I'll never use, but it was $1 and only a few extra $$ a month for a new data plan. Now Hubby wants one of the new phones based on playing with mine! but he qualifies for the $1 upgrade also. :D

We went to my parents tonight to celebrate his Bday, which was nice we had salad, lasagna, and GiGi's cupcakes.

More tomorrow I have to go start laundry so he'll have something to wear to work.

Janie Great job on XTrain standing legs and another cool piece of art! Was it fun doing a couple? Have they seen it? I bet they love it! I did look up some hamstring stretches online that I did this morning. These didn't use the foam roller though, I will have to check on that.

Cheryl Yes, apparently the knee issue is due to the tight hamstrings. Since they are so tight I am putting too much stress on the knees. I can't even imagine ever being able to stretch like Cathe and the crew do, but hopefully I will make some progress with my flexibility.
Great job on Supercuts on Thursday and your BOSU workout on Friday. I saw your posts on FB about being stuck in traffic. I thought it was funny when someone saw the second one and thought you were moving to a new house! It is so terrible being stuck in traffic like that and having no idea what is going on! Great job on the XTrain leg workout on Saturday too! Don't worry about the housework, it will still be there when you have time for it! Great job on yoga Sunday too!

Penguin Apparently the server upgrade didn't go as smoothly as they hoped, but now the new server is up and running so hopefully things will be better. I know what you mean about all the new stuff on the phone, but once you get used to it I bet you will like it. I was determined that I didn't need a smartphone, but I use it all the time now. It's funny that your DH wants one now too! :D

Yesterday was a rest day and it felt like all I did was eat. We drove to Chapel Hill to meet Eric for lunch and it was almost 3:00 by the time we ate lunch. I still wasn't hungry for dinner, but we finally ate dinner around 8:30 just because it seemed like we should  I spent most of the weekend working because I have so much work to get done, and we are going to Florida on Wednesday until Sunday. We are going to spend 2 night sin Key West and 2 nights in South Beach, so I'm looking forward to that. I hope everyone has a great day!

Pam

Saturday I did Tabatacise, all 5 but I did take a little longer break between each tabata. That was the first time I have done high impact since I broke my foot in November. It survived and more importantly so did I!!! Sunday I did Meso 2, disc 20 + 100 hip thrusts + rear delts. Then I planned for a lazy day Sunday but my stomach had other plans for me. I must have eaten something that did not agree with me. Anyway, this morning I was still feeling yucky and had a headache so I didn’t work out. Should be ready to go tomorrow though.

Pam Great job on SC + Core 1! Whenever Cathe goes supersonic speed with pushups, I cannot understand how she can still get the depth and I am doing halfsies and barely keeping up. Oh well. Congrats on keeping up with them even if it wasn’t full depth. Wow I can’t believe you have to wait until the end of March. Maybe doing some stretches on your own will help. I personally love the beginning segment of Stretch Max 3 with the band for stretching my hamstrings. I hope you get all your work done so you can enjoy your vacay!

Janie Great job on XTrain standing legs! What a lovely couple. They seem very happy and in love. I think your name for the picture is perfect. I have faith you will get there on the core. I think core 2 is easier than core 1. I end up modifying so much in core 1 but I don’t have to modify much in core 2.

Cheryl Great job on SC, your BOSU workout, X Train Legs, and yoga! I hope your done with the team building workshop so you can get back to being unstuffy. Oh my, a 2 hour delay on your commute home! I would have been so stressed by the time I got home. I bet you had more fun talking to your neighbor than doing the housework.

Penguin I think CN was having a lot of problems with getting the new server switched in on Thursday and Friday. That’s great that you have a phone that you can change the font size on. DH and I have smart phones but we don’t use everything on it.

Have a great day!

Penguin I had the same issues trying to get onto Cathe's site. It had to do with them changing over to a new server so it took several days for me to get back on. I love my smartphone. It just takes a while to get used to it and then you will wonder how you ever got by without one.

Pam We weren't really stuck in traffic it was our train to couldn't continue on so we were stuck on the tracks. I found out today that it was a suicide that had us waiting. Someone I was told jumped in front of a freight train so that held up all of the train traffic for quite a while. It was funny that someone thought we were moving. Well you enjoyed your rest day with all of the food. You need to do that every once in a while. So nice that you can go to Florida and get some heat and sun.

Julie Good job on tabatacise and that your foot held up and on meso 2 disc #20 + 100 hip thrusts + rear delts. I know what you mean about having stomach problems. Mine is really hurting right now. I think I should go in to see about getting allergy tests done for food, it seems like my stomach problems happen more often now. It was more annoying than stressful being stuck for a couple of hours at least it doesn't happen too often. As I mentioned to Pam it was a suicide that held us up.

Today I did All Out Hiit + Core 1. I only had done this one once before but I really liked it.

Have a great day everyone.

Cheryl

Julie Great job on all 5 tabatacise rounds!!! That is great that you were able to do them all and your foot was ok. Great job on Sundays Meso 2, disc 20 + 100 hip thrusts + rear delts. Sorry to hear you had an upset stomach :( I hope it is feeling better today.I did look up some hamstring stretches to do on the internet and did them yesterday. I will try to remember to do them again later today too.

Cheryl I guess it is a little better (?) being on a train instead of in traffic, at least if you have something to do. Still very frustrating not knowing what it going on or how long it will be! Oh wow, someone jumped in front of a train, what a way to go! Great job on AOHiit and core 1. I like that one too!

This morning I did Intensity since it will be my last workout for a few days. Boy. that one just never gets any easier does it?! have a great day ladies, not sure if I will get to post while I'm gone, so if not, have a great weekend too!

Pam

This morning I did TBT Upper Body! Whoo, that first half with all the pushups and plank type moves is killer. I think our weather here (much like some of yours) is bipolar this year. Yesterday we had a high of 57. This morning I went to open my garage door and it was frozen shut because overnight our temperature dropped like 40 degrees and the wind started gusting up to 30 mph. More of that today! 30 days to the first official day of Spring!!!

Cheryl Great job on AOLIH + Core 1! I like this one too. Especially because there really isn’t much repeating which is always a dread factor for me. I wondered if it was a suicide. I’ve heard of that happening before. Tragic. I am pretty certain I know what did me in on Sunday so now I just need to avoid that food again. Going to an allergists might help identify your stomach problems. You could have a wheat or dairy sensitivity that is causing the problems.

Pam Great job on Intensity! What a way to go out before your vacation! My stomach issues only seemed to last around 24 hours so that was good. Enjoy Florida and all that beautiful weather and sunshine!

Have a great day!

Yesterday was CrossFire Plus XTrain Bonus Abs Two. Modified of course. I'll post today's workout later.
We got some bad news. Joey's brother has had a stroke a couple of years ago and left him not being able to communicate very well. He went in for therapy, but remains hard for him to talk. On top of that he later found out he has cancer. He was treated with chemo and radiation, but it now has matasticide to his brain and has tumors there. He's expected to live only a few more weeks. He lives in Michigan so we are preparing to drive there in a couple of weeks or so. Just wanted you all to know that if you don't hear from me for a few days or so during that time, then that's why. Prayers for him to pass comfortably would be appreciated.

Cheryl, Great job on AOH and Core1.

Pam, Great job on Intensity. This one is a challenge for sure. We'll be waiting for your safe return from vacationing in FL.

Julie, Great job on TBT Upper Body. Another challenging workout. Love word bipolar in regards to weather. LOL Spring is just around the corner.

Take care ladies,

Janie

Pam Intensity is a good workout if you aren't going to do one for a while. Enjoy your trip to Florida post if you can.

Julie Good job on TBT UB. Yeah 30 more days until Spring however today felt like Spring here. I know I have a wheat sensitivity but I am fine with dairy. It seems a lot of food doesn't agree with me anymore.

Janie Good job on Crossfire + XTrain core #2. Sorry to hear about Joey's brother. My thoughts are with you and Joey at this time.

My stomach still hurt this morning so I didn't get a workout in and it lasted most of the day. I will try again for tomorrow morning. Did you see that Cathe is filming another series  and we can give her our ideas for a greatest hits volume 1. There is so much I wouldn't know where to begin.

Have a great day everyone.

Cheryl

The smart phone is actually easier to use than I thought, I do have a problem with the touch screen and since I don't have depth perception I 'miss' a lot, but I guess that will improve with practice. I'll use other features like the mp3 player and camera. I had mentioned to my parents that I'd like a new camera for my Bday in April but the phone filled that niche!

Lazy morning. Since my schedule changed last week, I’ve changed most of my chores from Tuesday to Monday. So now Tuesday is like a bonus day. I’ve decided to make this my ‘random’ chore day, where I do things that aren’t really part of the schedule but still need to be done. Like straighten/cleaned out the linen closet. Doesn’t that sound like fun? But it needed to be done so I'm just glad its over. I used my HS as a footstool to get to the top shelf, then as a chair for the bottom shelves, so I guess its fitness related.:p Up and done, up and done.

I only come to the Check in section so I missed the server annoucement.

Tonight was 30/30. Love this Hiit workout. Thank you for the warm thoughts for Joey's brother Walt.

My stomach still hurt this morning so I didn't get a workout in and it lasted most of the day. I will try again for tomorrow morning. Did you see that Cathe is filming another series  and we can give her our ideas for a greatest hits volume 1. There is so much I wouldn't know where to begin.

Cheryl, Hope you feel better soon. I already gave a couple of ideas. I can't wait for her new workouts.

Penquin, Glad to see technology people are using. Mixing and changing things up are good. Even if they are not exercises. Hey you are on to a new workout. Hmmmm LOL

Take care ladies,

Janie

This morning I did Cardio Leg Blast for the first time. It was fun and one I see doing again with no dread. Definitely a sweat/calorie burn fest. I can't believe Cathe is filming again. She is like the energizer bunny! I can't even fathom to guess what she is doing because I can't think of what else I need/want. But I am sure she will come up with something great and of course, I will be preordering to save money.

Janie Great job on 30/30! I’m very sorry to hear about Joey’s brother. Do be careful on your drive. I’m not sure when you are leaving but Thursday night into Friday morning there is supposed to be a big snow storm coming through the Midwest.

Cheryl Bummer on the stomach issue still. I do hope you are feeling better soon. It is funny how our bodies change over time. I have noticed that as I have gotten better about eating healthier on a regular basis, my body does not play nice with junkier foods like it used to. I saw that Cathe was filming again and was like “WHAT!” I can’t believe she is filming already. I wonder if it will be a large set or just a few DVDs. I like the idea of the greatest hits but I’m with you, too many options to choose from.

Penguin Great job on your cleanmax workout with the linen closet! It is hard to do those extra chores that need to be done but you dread doing. So nice when they are done though. Glad to see you like your smart phone. Pretty soon you will be wondering how you lived without one before.

Have a great day!

This morning I fell out of bed reaching for a slipper, the good news is I didn't hurt myself or land on the dog, then I dropped a roast I was trying to get ready for the crock pot {I cleaned it off} then cut myself {not badly}, and had the burner on the stove up too high and burned the bottom of my pan! But the house smells wonderful and we will have a good meal tonight.

the Bible study that my Mom and I have been attending for many years is dissolving next year due to those who are in charge are all leaving. We are a little stunned today. Mom and I felt that God was leading us in another direction next year but this was unexpected.

Did AOLIH prem6. Not bad.

Julie, Great job on CLB. I need to do that one again for the sweatfest. LOL I'm always in need of variety from Cathe and she never fails to give it to us. LOL Waiting to preorder. We won't be going until near the end. I'm guessing about 2 weeks or so. He will be so missed, such a nice guy, never married and was content to making family happy.

Penquin, I haven't fallen from bed in years. Sure glad you are OK. You are having a terrible no good very bad day! Yep, you are needed elsewhere in the near future.

Take care,

Janie

Penguin Smart phones are wonderful inventions I wonder how I ever got by without mine. So nice to have a day where you can get other chores done. I wish I had one of those.

Janie I like 30/30 too good job on it.

Julie Isn't Cardio Leg Blast as good sweat fest!!! Good work on it. It will be interesting to see what Cathe comes up with this time. I do eat pretty healthy but things still seem to bother me. I can't eat junk food either now which is good but sometimes it would be nice to not worry about what you are eating.

Penguin Glad that you didn't hurt yourself falling out of bed. I remember I did that once as a kid and ended up with a black eye. I hit the edge of a dresser when I fell out .

Janie Good job on AOLIH premix #6. Is that the one that also has the core work in it?

Today I did Burn Sets Chest, Back and Shoulders. That was the first time for that one and I did like it. It went by really fast. Yesterday it felt like Spring here today it felt like Winter again. I can hardly wait for warmer weather.

Have a great day.

Cheryl

This morning was SuperCuts + Core 2 + 100 triceps extensions. I really like SC. I think it is my favorite out of the cardio based XTrains and probably my favorite metabolic type workout from Cathe. I have no dread factor for this one not even the situp/pushup combo (which I slow down considerably).

Penguin Oh boy sounds like your day didn’t go well yesterday. I hope today is better for you. That’s sad that the Bible study is dissolving. But as you said, it could be God leading you in a different direction. He does work in mysterious ways and sometimes you have to wait awhile to figure out what his plan is for you.

Janie Great job on AOLIH premix 6! Yes I learned my lesson on the 4-pack with Lower Body Blast that preordering is better. I didn’t preorder with that 4-pack and then ended up buying each workout anyway and paying more in the end. I’m glad you are making the trek out there to see Joey’s brother before he passes. It hurts but also is nice to be able to say goodbye.

Cheryl Great job on BS CBS! I really like the burn sets concept Cathe came up but I also really like the other upper body workouts that move in a circuit. I wish she would do more total body circuits like Push/Pull or Supersets. Those workouts always seem so time efficient and I love alternating among body parts rather than working one to exhaustion. Oh wouldn’t that be the best to not have to worry about what you eat. Especially when eating out.

Have a great day!

Julie Good job on Supercuts + core 2 + 100 triceps extensions. I really like SC too and love that type of working out. I like the total body circuits too but sometimes Push/Pull or Supersets does seem a bit easy compared to her other workouts.

I didn't sleep well last night at all so I was going to workout when I got home but it is only 6:30 here and I am already wanting to go to bed . Try again tomorrow morning, I think it will take a bit to get me back onto morning workouts again.
