Julie I'm so glad to hear that your mom's surgery went well. Wow, it was a lot faster that than said it would be, that is amazing. I know it's excruciating just sitting there waiting for news during something like that, so I'm happy that you didn't have to wait as long. I'm hoping for a quick recovery for her. what a great daughter you are going to help her cook and clean while she recovers! great job on Bis/Tris and rear dlets! I hope your weather wasn't too bad, there sure have been some qwful storms this winter! Come on SPRING! Thanks for the wishes on the week going by fast. I have already been thinking about what workouts I can do in my hotel room. Most of the hotels in Vegas has beautiful gyms, but they charge outrageous fees to use them so I don't see that happening :(:mad: I may be doing a lot of KPC for the next week!

Penguin Great job on Supercuts, that is a really fun one! I think it's a good mix of hard and fun. Bummer about not losing any weight, but it is nice to not have gained any either. I weigh myself every day and I am stunned by how much it can fluctuate from day to day. I hope you enjoyed your cookies! :D My favorite are oatmeal chocolate chip, yum!
It is funny how working out gives you so much more energy, isn't it? It can be very hard to remember that though when you are feeling tired and having to talk yourself into doing a workout :rolleyes: I have to do mine as soon as i get up or I rarely get it done. If I give myself time to talk myself out of it or get involved in something else, then it doesn't happen!

Cheryl Yea, I know a lot of people who love Vegas and go all of the time. Those are the people who like to gamble and that is not me at all. The good thing about this conference though is that I'll get to see a lot of people that I haven't seen in a long time. That part will be good, but the work days will be really long.
Great job on your TRX workout, I really want to try one of those one of these days! Hope you are able to get your workout in today.

Janie Great job on SuperCuts! I still need to check out the ab thing you were talking about from that disc. Is it one of the bonuses? Congratulations on on doing the whole thing too! How exciting to see your progress like that! You should be very proud of yourself! I have new DOMS today on top of my DOMS from yesterday :confused::rolleyes: so am moving a little slower today. Oh yea, I'm always reminding myself during those last few really tough exercises in a set of those being the ones that give you the most results. Sometimes that is hard to remember though ;)

This morning I did Crossfire with core. I had been thinking it had been awhile since I had done it, but as soon as I got into it I realized that I just did it last week! I was dripping sweat by the end of the firewalker tabata. Man, that always kills me. Now my entire body is talking to me :rolleyes: Have a great day ladies!

So yesterday we got the biggest, wettest, heaviest snowflakes I have ever seen. It was really pretty coming down and this morning see it on the trees. The drive wasn’t really bad either and because the snow is so heavy and wet that takes blowing across the road out of the equation. Anyway, this morning I did Tabatacise. I only did the first 4 rounds and took extra rest between each tabata round. Just can’t do it straight but at least I am doing it I guess. Thanks for all the thoughts on my mom’s speedy recovery.

Penguin Great job on SC! That one is a favorite of mine in the XTrain series. I don’t think you are missing much by skipping that pu/su combo. Oops, you are right, the last couple sentences were meant to be in my response to Pam. That’s what I get for being in a hurry. I hope your hubby’s knee heals soon. That sounds like no fun but at least he is being good about icing it. I am terrible with that. I get so cold all the time and the thought of putting ice on me just makes me colder.

Cheryl Great job on your TRX the other day! Sounds like your body was telling you to rest yesterday. I can’t believe that we got our first winter storm at the end of February. I guess I can’t complain because that is better than at the beginning of November but still. We are so close to Spring and Mother Nature dumps a load of snow on us. I know the farmers will be thrilled because the winter really has been pretty dry and with last summer’s drought, their fields are gonna be soaking up this stuff fast.

Janie Great job on SuperCuts!!! I love this one too. Probably my favorite out of the XTrain series. I think it is great that you did the moves on your terms and got through the whole workout. That feels so great to be able to see the end. I wanted to finish out the last tabata this morning but just didn’t feel I could push myself to do it after looking at what was included in it. The fifth tabata is also the one Cathe listed as the hardest. Maybe next time.

Pam Great job on CrossFire + core! I bet that was a toughy with the DOMS you had. This morning I thought of the Firewalker tabata from CrossFire and the first tabata from Tabatacise. You could easily put a Firewalker band on during that tabata to make it harder. Of course, I didn’t! Oh boy KPC all week long. Would All Out Hiit and Tabatacise travel well? I know you wouldn’t have a weight for some of the AOLIH moves nor a step for Tabatacise but you could do the rest of it.

Janie Good job on Supercuts and being able to do the whole workout. It is one of my favs. Don't worry that you couldn't keep up with the crew you did what you could and that is what counts.

Pam One of my staff absolutely loves Vegas and she doesn't gamble either. They go there with their fancy dresses, bikinis and bling and sit by the pool, go shopping or to the clubs. I swear she has the bouncers at the different hotels on speed dial on her cell phone. Whenever she goes she contacts them for passes to the pool parties and the different clubs. It will be nice for you to see people that you haven't seen for a long time. Everyone tells me that there is more to do in Vegas than gamble (since I have never been there I just take their work for it). I think you would like the TRX. It is a different type of workout using your body weight instead of dumbbells or barbells. Good job on Crossfire.

Julie I have been watching the news and all the snow that you guys are getting back East. Toronto got hit too with the really messy snow. If it snows here we get what you just got. It isn't a whole lot of fun. Fingers crossed for you that you won't get anymore winter weather. Good job on Tabatacise. That is a hard workout so don't worry about taking extra time between the rounds, it will take a while to get up to what Cathe and crew can do.

Today was Step Moves I like that one. I felt like switching things up a bit.

This morning I did Cycle Max Scrambled style. I am thinking of starting a new rotation. I made it 60 out of the 90 days for the LIS/XTrain rotation but I am ready to move on. I am struggling on what to do though because there are just too many to choose from. I want to do them all but I don’t have the time or energy to do 2 or 3 workouts a day!! I definitely want to do STS again but just Mesos 2 & 3 but maybe in an undulating fashion. Oh boy, this is becoming overwhelming.

Cheryl Great job on Step Moves! I haven’t done a step workout in forever. I think I better work on doing one so I don’t forget how to do it. I am hoping this is the last of the winter weather too. I overheard someone say something about snow over the weekend but I haven’t looked. Sometimes ignorance can be bliss.

Pam, The ab thing I was talking about is in the middle of the SuperCut itself. Chapter 19 or very close to it. The one after the sit outs and really good as well. You'll see. Love this stuff! Congrats on your lovely DOM's for the second day. Great job on this mornings Crossfire with core. Love the drip sweating. Good for you.

Julie, Great job on this mornings Tabatacise 4 rounds. Good job. The big snowy wet flakes stuck on trees sound so lovely. How is your Mom doing? I'm not as good with the tabata's as you are. They are tough and you did a remarkable job on them.

Cheryl, Great job on Step Moves. Love switching up a bit too.

Julie, Great job on CM scrambled style. I feel like moving on from these XTrain rotations as well. Not a bad thing at all. Do what you want in moderation and things will work out the way you want. I think anyways! LOL

This morning I did my own leg workout. It was actually set up like Meso 2 legs in 3 sets of trisets. I got the idea from an Oxygen article on glute and hamstring supersets and added a quad focused exercise to each of their superset to make a triset. It was fast and fun. I might start incorporating that more often. I also added 100 triceps extensions. I was walking up the stairs to work this morning and really feeling my legs so I may be in total toilet failure tomorrow. We’ll see.

Janie No worries on not doing anything. Sometimes it is better to be kind to your body and mind and just relax. Can’t wait to see the new portrait. My mom is home now and able to get around slowly. I foresee a slow going recovery but slow & steady wins the race, right? I am definitely switching up starting Sunday. I may incorporate some XTrain workouts in but it is going to be a hodge podge mixture.

Tonight was fooling around while watching TV on the spinning bike. Rode about 45 min. Sweaty as all get out. Whew!

Julie, Very good on doing your own leg workout. Sounds like hard work and well worth the effort. Good for you! Also for the added 100 triceps extensions. Hoping for your total toilet failure tomorrow. LOL

I think slow and steady does win the race for you Mom.

Tomorrow is March and want this month to really count and make a difference in my attitude. Will strive for that anyways. LOL

Today is a rest day for me. I got up early and cleaned my house. Now I am getting ready to head to my mom's to clean her house, cook some meals for her, and then run errands. I've got some DOMS today from my leg day yesterday but not so sore that I can't do things. Just sore enough that I whimper when squatting down to clean or pick things up off the floor.

Janie Great job on spinning while watching tv. That's an excellent way to pass the time while getting your workout in. Here's hoping March brings you what you are looking for. Listen to your heart and follow where it takes you. You can't go wrong that way.

I started to post yesterday afternoon, then Hubby came home to pack for a suprise trip to Des Moines, chaos ensued.

Its snowing lightly here! just flurries but its a novelty around here. I saw that both KCM and Cathe have preorders out! Ouch. I can skip KCM's but I saw two of Cathe's that I like but I'll have to wait.
 
Julie Good job on cycle max scrambled style. It is hard to figure out a new rotation to do they are all so good. I need to do the same thing. I find that when I haven't done a workout in a long time it doesn't take long before I am doing the moves like I had just done it the week before. I hope you didn't get snow this weekend. We had torrential rain here, so bad you didn't want to go out the door.

Janie Some days you just need to relax, you don't need a reason.

I had a bad week with the workouts. I didn't have the energy to workout Thursday or Friday but today I did Cross Fire. That is one I haven't done in a while and it left me a sweaty mess afterwards. After that I did a bit of cleaning.

Did 30/30 tonight. This was hard for some reason (must have needed it). Still one of my most favorites.

Julie, Great job on cleanmax today. Cleaning your Mom's house and making meals is a really sweet thing for a daughter to do. You take such good care of her. Congrats on your DOM's today. Thank you for the motivation. It worked. I'm so into March. LOL:D

Penquin, Did you have a nice time in Des Moines? I bet the snow flurries are beautiful. I ordered the whole package. I'm interested in all of them. Can't wait!

Hi from Vegas. Things are very slow here today so getting a chance to post.

Julie I'm glad that your snow didn't cause major traffic headaches. It sure can be pretty, but I would rather that it just stay away! Great job on the first 4 rounds of tabatacise! That one is definitely a toughie, espeically with those step blasts for 'recovery'! .
Oh you are so funny, there is no way I'm putting a firewaker band if Cathe doesn't tell me that I have to! :p No, it won't be KPC all week long, but I did start with it since I haven't done it in awhile. I brought AOLIH, travel fit, tabatacise and CCC since I can do those without equipment. I also brought TTM and Crossfire because I can do that tabata premixes. I'm thinking as the week wears on I'm going to be less motivated to get up to workout though.

Cheryl Well there is no lounging but the pool for me this week, I wish! Wow, your staff member is really into the Vegas scene isn't she? It's just really not my thing at all. Especially with all of the smoking everywhere. There is more to do here than gamble, but everything costs about twice as much here as it does everywhere else. Plus it is just so crowded!

I pretty much stopped doing it because of travel the last couple of weeks. It's just too repetitive. I can't do 2 workouts a day either.

Janie Hmmm, I can't think of the core part but I will look it up with I think of it. So it's part of the regular Supercuts workout? The only core I can remember from that one are the situps with the pushups at the end. Looking forward to your new portrait!

Penguin Oh no, surprise trips are no good! I hope he won't be gone too long! The snow is a real novelty for us too. Whenever it snows people stand in the halls at work watching it! Too funny! I am planning to preorder Cathe's new series, just have to figure out when.

Thursday morning I did the full Body Max 2 since I had some extra time. I just love that workout. The weight part just flies by. I can never do all of the side planks after I do the weights though. Oh well, I hung on as long as I could! Friday morning I did KPC in my room and then did the abs from Turbo Barre since I didn't have a stability ball or dumbbells. Yesterday I did Travel Fit. That's the first time I have done that one and it was fun. This morning I did CCC (!). That was the first time in a long time doing it and it was just as hard as always! We have an earlier start tomorrow so I don't know if I'll get a workout in or not, but maybe a quick one. I also bright 40/20 since it doesn't require equipment. We'll see! I hope everyone is having a great weekend! I haven't been able to keep up with what day it is since getting here because I've been working every day :confused: Come on Friday!

UPDATE: Did the Wedding Video tonight. Sure is easier than the workouts nowadays. LOL However it was longer and sweated more because of it.

Pam Yep she is a Vegas gal but she is also only in her early 30s so that is why she is into the pool and clubs. Funny how you say everything costs twice as much as anywhere else. For us things in Vegas is half the price or more for us up here. Good job on BM2, KPC, Travel Fit and CCC. It is great when you can get a workout done in your room. I hope the week flys by for you.

Today was yoga and then out to my parent's house to check up on it. After that we got some running around done. Today is so nice it feels like Spring compared to yesterday where it was raining so hard you didn't want to go outside.

Yesterday I did Power Hour. I was intrigued by Cathe’s upcoming workout that mixes Power Hour with Super Cuts. I don’t have any idea what is up her sleeve but it will be interesting for sure. I wish I could say that the rest of my day was spent as lazy day Sunday usual but I had to go to DH’s sister’s baby shower. This morning I did MMA Boxing. I was going to do the heavy bag bonus too but skipped it. I just wasn’t feeling up to it today energy wise.

Penguin Well what a nice surprise to have a trip to Des Moines. :rolleyes: I’m assuming his work doesn’t know how to plan in advance or it was just an emergency thing. I hope he doesn’t have to stay too long. I’m not sure what type of weather Des Moines is supposed to get but they are about the same as us sometimes so hopefully he can get out of there before any snow hits.

Cheryl Great job on Crossfire! I guess you were saving yourself on Thursday and Friday for CF! We haven’t gotten any more snow yet. We may get 2-4 inches tonight though. I think Mother Nature is confused. Doesn’t she know that Spring is less than 3 weeks away! Sounds like maybe your getting Spring a little early over there. Great job on yoga!

Janie Great job on 30/30! That used to be a favorite but since it is the one I was doing when I broke my foot, I’m a little leery of putting it back in my rotation. Gotta get over that fear. I’m glad you’re feeling March being better. I wonder if the winter blahs had anything to do with your energy and motivation? I know it does mine. I so wish I was a bear and could hibernate all winter. Great job on the Wedding Video! Another great picture of your nephew.

Pam Great job on BM2 before you left and for keeping up with your workouts while in Vegas with KPC + TB abs, TF, and CCC oh my! I did Travel Fit for the first time when I went to Dallas last June. It was fun and something that you really could do at home as part of a low impact rotation even. I’m wishing for Friday right along with you.

Due to an overbooked flight, Hubby didn 't make it home until 11pm last night. Work was kind enough to give him today off. Humph!

Its warm and sunny so we took April to the park, Hubby's outside trying to fix his car which broke last week, the part came Friday right before he had to leave.
 
Did Low Impact Circuit in it's entirety of 75 min. I love this workout. Was beet red when done. LOL

Julie, I didn't realize 30/30 is the one you broke your foot on. I don't blame you for being leery. Do it anyways it's good for you! LOL It could have been anyone of them. Listen though, to your instincts. This year I am a true believer in Winter Blahs. Today was such a lovely day and Rolly and I took a quick walk. Felt so happy. Great job on yesterday's PH. Hope you enjoyed the baby shower. Also great job on MMA Boxing. Good you are listening to your body and omitted the Heavy Bag Bonus.

This morning I did Muscle Endurance. I think I like ME so much better than Power Hour. The squats in PH were never ending plus every leg section has leg presses which are one of my favorites! This morning it was snowing big, wet flakes again. We are supposed to get 3-5 inches but I can’t complain because North of here is supposed to get 6-12!!!

Penguin What a bummer on the flight situation for your hubby. It was nice that he got the next day off though. I bet April was so happy to be going to the park on such a beautiful day for you guys. I hope hubby got his car fixed.

Janie Great job on original style LIC!!! I like that workout too. That series is one of the few that I actually pay attention to the music on. I’ve heard some people don’t like the remake of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun that is used but I love it. It gets me motivated. You’re right in that I need to just do 30/30 again and get over it. I do have my next rotation planned out that I will be starting in a few weeks and it is in there so we will see what happens when that day comes up.

I did Althletic Training today. This is the workout where Cathe makes the comment about feeling like a penguin while wearing the firewalkers band. The comment always gets cheers from me!

Hubby got the car fixed. We never made it to the grocery store and several other errands so we'll have to do them tonight.
 
Today was Supersets. Wow! I modified by going slower, but did everything they did. Whew!

Julie, Great job on ME. I have to agree the squats in PH are endless. Seems that this kind of snow in your area at this time of year is unusual. Stay safe and warm. I really concentrate on my exercises with as perfect form as possible. I hardly notice the music. I guess I tune it out.

Penquin, Great job on AT today. I'm going to have to go to this workout just to hear Cathe's comment on penquin. LOL so funny. Yea for hubby fixing the car. Try to enjoy your shopping and errands tonight.
