Good Morning
Yesterday was my rest day I needed it my legs are still fried! Today is 4DS KIck box and upper body/ CM #2.
Hope everyone has a great Sunday!
Randi

Good Morning.

I am about to workout. I need some long cardio to make up for what I ate last night!! I will be cooking all day after that. We are taking food to my friends that lost one of their twins at birth. The are finally back from the hospital with their other twin and hare having long hours taking care of him. I can't wait to finally meet their little boy tonight. He is still weak and fragile. He wasn't even suppose to be born yet according to the due date. But, he is gaining some weight (I think he is almost 6 pounds now) and getting stronger.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Good Morning PYGFOers!

I have been MIA for the last few days. We were without power for 3 days after the storm here early Thurs. morning. The worst part for me (besides not being able to do my Cathe workouts!) was that I couldn't dry my hair. Had to go to a friend's house in another neighborhood to dry my hair.

We have electricity now and today I did 4ds BC and then DM drills. Has anyone done that combo before?:p

Hi Heather and Randi! Have a great Sunday!

Hi Lara! You are such a sweet friend to take dinner.

Hi to all other PYGFOers! I will have to go back and catch up.

Gin:)

Just got done working out. THe 4ds kickbox plus upperbody was 103 min plus i did cm#2. Didn't think i was going to finish I did now my arms are shaking and feel like jello!!

Hello!

I just got back from delivering dinner. I got to meet my friend's baby. He is so adorable!! I got to hold him (I was nervous--he is still so little) and so did DH. I think that is the first time I have ever seen DH hold a baby. I guess he had better get used to it!! My mom was so nice to help me get everything ready for them. We took them some pork chops and rice with tomatoes and bell peppers (plus a lot of sides and dessert). It was one of my favorites dishes growing up. My sister and I have not eaten meat for about 10 years now, so my mom doesn't get to make it anymore. DH was SO happy. We made him a few pork chops in a separate pan.

Heather...Hello. I hope you enjoyed your cardio today!

Gin...I was wondering where you were! Sorry you lost power. What a hassle to go to a friend's house to dry your hair. I have not done that combination before. Sounds evil}( }(

Randi...Great workout today!! I have only done the entire upper body of 4DS once. My arms were completely fried!!

I am so excited!! I finally will find out gender tomorrow. It is fun to guess in a way, but I am ready to know so I can start planning a little better.

Have a good Monday!

PYGFO Sisters:

The weekends fly by way too fast! I am not ready to return to work yet. I think I need a vacation! A week with nothing to do sounds like heaven to me.

I enjoyed Kari Anderson’s Push hi-lo this morning. I skipped the step combinations even though I enjoy her step workouts too. I love her soothing stretches. I have Angles, Lines, and Curves in my collection but have only previewed it.

I finished my grocery shopping and fixed a grilled chicken sandwich with honey mustard on toasted millet bread this afternoon. It was good, but I am still not a big meat eater. It is definitely not something I would want to eat every week. My digital food scale died today, and I am not interested in spending $30.00 to replace it. I am free of all scales. The only thing I use it for is meat, but I know what a portion size looks like now.

After eating more animal protein this weekend, I am not feeling as energetic as I did last week. My meals and snacks are packed for tomorrow, and I am looking forward to a plant-based day.

Chris posted more blog pictures today. The one called “Don’t Make Mom Angry!” has been e-mailed to me multiple times. Yikes! This workout looks intense. I am looking forward to the happy and fun lower body workouts. Everyone is smiling in those blog pictures! Cathe’s red top is super cute, but I will need to put my game face on for chest, shoulders, and triceps in the same workout. Eek!

I bounced on my rebounder tonight instead of driving to the club.

I am not sure what my morning workout will be. I am thinking about a Legs and Glutes premix, but I will see what is calling my name and how much energy I have.

Randi, I love 4-Day Split Kickbox cardio! I am glad you enjoyed your Saturday rest day.

Gin, welcome back! The storms knocked my power and computer out at night, and I missed a few days of checking in last week too. Thankfully, I had power during the day.

Lara, I am so excited for you! Shopping for baby clothes and decorating the nursery will be so much fun when you know if you are having a girl or a boy. You do not eat any meat? Wow! I eat chicken every now and then and steak or a hamburger once or twice a year. Other than that, a plant-based way of eating gives me the most energy. I have not had any pork for 7½ years. What do you eat for protein? Tofu is out for me due to a soy allergy.

Blessings,
Heather B.

Happy Monday PYGFOers. I'm starting Cathe's 4DS rotation this week. I did HIS last night and had the best workout I've had since my injury last Thanksgiving. I think my knee is finally well and the shingles are almost gone.

Gin, three days without power! Yikes! Good thing you had a friend's house to go to.

Lara, I'm sorry for your friends loss. LOL at your DH holding a baby for the first time. Especially a teeny tiny one!

Hi Heather. I'm glad the weekend went fast, since I was working. I had to work two back to back to make up for one I traded. I'm glad to say I have the next two off.

Hi Randi, Laura, Vickie, Liann, Tess and anyone else I missed. I'll try to be more regular here. Maybe that will help me stick to the rotation!

Good Morning PYGFOers!

Today I ran and then did PLB. That floorwork...OUCH!x(
I had to throw out just about everything in my fridge yesterday after our 3 day power outage and of course, I had just been to the store the day before!

Randi--How do your arms feel today?

Lara--Will you share the gender of your baby with us?:)

Heather--I don't eat much meat either. I do have milk, cheese, nuts, eggs, protein power and PB!:9

Robin--You sound great today. So glad that you are on the mend and able to step once again!:)

Have a great day!
Gin:)

Good Morning Ladies,

I just got back from our spring break vacation yesterday. We had a great time with too much fun and sun plus too much eating and drinking. I swear, sometimes I had absolutely no control over myself.

Yesterday was my DS 18th birthday. Where has the time gone?? I feel he is still my little boy. It's hard for me to believe he will be graduation high school in 6 weeks as well. Time definitely does fly!

I haven;t had a chance to catch up on all the posts from last week. I will try to do that today or tomorrow.

I feel like I need a killer kick butt workout. I did manage to workout twice while on vacation. I can;t decide if I should do a killer cardio to try and detox, heavy weights or a circuit to get back into the swing of things.
I'll let you know what I decide.

Hello to everyone and have a great day!

Carolyn

Hi everyone! This morning I did Kimberly Spreen's kickbox bootcamp and then back work. I am doing my own thing for the weight work except for legs. I usually need a workout to help me get through a leg routine. Eating has been tidy. Not 100% clean but definitely above average. I'm back to where I was before the holidays so that's good. This year I am not succumbing to the holiday pig-fest. It's just not worth it after all this hard work.

Robin - I am so glad you are feeling better. Are your shingles better now?

Lara - I am so excited that you find out today. I hope you'll share!!

Gin - Uggh, I know what that feels like to be without power. When we lived in Fl. we went through all those back to back hurricanes. We counted up the total # days we were without power for all those storms and it was a whole month in one year. That's part of the reason we moved.

Carolyn - I'm glad you are back and had a good time! I say go for a circuit.

Randi - sounds like your workouts are going great!

Heather - thanks for putting a smile on my face. I always enjoy reading your posts.

Hello to everyone else and have a great day!

The Roadtrips have been announced!!!! They are having two this year. I'm definitely going to try to go, but which one to go to??? What are you gals thinking?

I'm totally shaking over here... I am going to try for the July Road Trip. School starts in August and since I keep teacher's kids, August would be tough for me. But , If I don't make the cut for July I will try for August.

Carolyn

What Michelle said! :7 :7 :7

I will probably try to register for the July RT first and if I don't get in, try for the August trip. The first registration is on the day of my ds's and his fiance's rehearsal dinner (out of town). Could be a crazy day!:p
Doing the Happy Dance in TX!

Gin:)

Tess - I think I am going to have to aim for the August trip as well. We typically take our vacation that last week of July and it looks like that is what we will be doing again this year.

PYGFO Sisters:

This was a happy Monday. I enjoyed the Kick, Punch, & Crunch cardio conditioning premix this morning. I saved Legs and Glutes for tonight. I received my Ironwear ankle weights today. They are adjustable from ½ pound to 5 pounds each and can be worn as thigh weights or linked together for a weighted belt. They are soft and very comfortable, and the royal blue matches my weighted kickboxing gloves. This is very comfortable to wear as a belt with 5 pounds securely on each hip.

I was planning to play with Legs and Glutes during my lunch hour to test my new toy, but I saw Cathe’s Road Trip e-mail and got excited and distracted. I am hoping to secure a spot for the July Road Trip as this will likely be my last opportunity to attend in the near future. I see big life changes on the horizon.

Last year was my first Road Trip. It was an amazing experience that touched me in my feelings. I have battled deep insecurities about my weight and size since early childhood, and I was so amazed by the unconditional love and acceptance in that place. I would love to enjoy the Road Trip experience again, and I am hoping God blesses me with a do-over this year. Blessing my body with restful sleep and good nutrition is my game plan if I get in this year. I did not sleep more than 4 hours a night for a month prior to the 2007 Road Trip for reasons too personal to share publically, and I was wiped out by the end of Cathe’s Saturday morning kickboxing class. I was tired and emotional last year and believe this time would be a whole new experience for me. I was also nervous and anxious about my weight and size. I stepped out in faith and faced my fears and insecurities. I am the same size this year (and a bit heavier), but I am more comfortable in my skin. I have made peace with my body and would not give my weight a second thought. I no longer define myself by my weight (after a lifetime of eating disorders). That glorious healing process started in Jersey last summer during the 2007 Road Trip. I am still overweight, but I am not what I weigh. Fitness is about freedom, not a size! I am all about eating for the glory of God, exercising as an act of worship, and living a clean and healthy lifestyle. It will be a challenge to secure one of the spots, but I am planning to give it a whirl.

I warmed up tonight and enjoyed the Legs and Glutes ankle weight premix. I love my new ankle weights. They are so much nicer than my old ones that are leaking sand. Of course, I adjusted them down to 2½ pounds to start. I have tried on countless ankle weights in recent weeks. This is the first pair I like. The weights can be added to the Ironwear vests too if I purchase one eventually. My fitness savings account is down to $400.00 after the STS preorder, and I need to hopefully save that for the Road Trip.

I went to the club tonight and wrapped up the day with 30 minutes on a recumbent bike. Is it bad that I watched the Food Network while I peddled? :9 LOL! :7

Wow! There was a party in the PYGFO thread while I was at work! :7 Nothing like a Cathe Road Trip e-mail to add new life to a check-in! ;-)

Robin, I hope you enjoy Cathe’s November rotation as much as I did! I made consistent strength gains and needed smaller jeans after a few weeks!

Tess, I am so glad I made you smile. Your avatar makes me smile. I love Pookie! :* I wish we could have one big Road Trip so everyone could be together again.

Liann, I read the announcement during my lunch hour. Glory! The pajama party sounds like fun. I hope the STS guys are invited! ;-)

Michelle, welcome back! I have missed you!

Carolyn and Gin, I am aiming for July too so I can have a shot at August if I do not get in. July would be my preference, but I will miss Tess and others. :-(

Blessings,
Heather B.

Hello!!

It's a GIRL!!!! The doctor said she had a beautiful brain and spinal cord and the heart valves and chambers were well defined. Sounds good to me!! She is right on target in weight even though I have only gained 2 pounds. I am 21 weeks now. A little over half-way there!! Now, I am ready to meet her!! She looks really cute on the ultrasound. She kicked for us and yawned twice. We are so excited!! I am ready to shop now!! I told DH to prepare b/c we are going to be broke after all of the shopping we have to do!

Oh my, a RT. The only thing I am disappointed about right now is that I won't be able to go. I doubt they would let an 8+ month pregnant lady in. I told DH that I was definitely going to make the RT next year (if they have one). He just rolls his eyes.

Heather... I have not eaten any meat for about 10 years now. I eat a lot of whole grains, PB, beans, yogurt, protein shakes, protein pancakes, veggie burgers, etc. I really don't eat anything white (simple sugars) unless it is a treat (cookies, ice cream, etc). I do eat tofu and drink soy milk, but not very often. I also eat seafood (mostly fish and shrimp). I love fruit and vegetables!! I feel better when that is the bulk of my diet.

Robin...YAY for the good workout!! I love HIS. I hope your knee continues to keep getting better and stronger!

Gin...sorry about having to toss your food! I keep saying I am going to do PLB, and then I remember the DOMS from the last time and steer clear! I really want to do that one while I still can!

Carolyn...So glad you had a good trip. I hope you enjoyed your killer workout today. What did you decide to do?

Tess...I hope you will give me some of your willpower around the holidays! I am never good!!

Hello to Liann and Michelle!! I wish I were joining you all at the RT!

I just can't stand it that I won't be able to go this year and see everyone now that we know each other better. I hope you all will still remember me if I get to go in 2 years :p
I know, I will be very busy preparing for the arrival of my daughter. I can't wait!! I think our lives are about to change tremendously! Is it weird that I am carrying my ultrasound pictures around with me everywhere I go? I just can't stop looking at them!

Have a great Tuesday!!

PYGFO Sisters:

I forgot to mention in my last post that I am hoping we can continue this check-in. I am sure there will be new Road Trip check-ins, but not all of us are going this year. I want to keep our 2007 PYGFO group together.

Lara, I am so excited! :) I was hoping for a girl! :) Baby boys are precious too, but there are so many cute clothes for little girls! :) We need to have a PYGFO shower for you! :)

Tess, we need to hold each other accountable during the holidays this year. I cannot celebrate like I did in my 20s without paying the price. Thankfully, I am finally mastering moderation and learning how to enjoy treats without sliding down a slippery slope and seeing the extra calories stuck to my butt! ;-) Hopefully, I will keep this in mind during the holidays.

Blessings,
Heather B.
