PYGFO April 13-19, 2008

Happy Tuesday RT friends.

Lara!!!! Yay for the little girl. I'm so excited for you. The ultrasound must have been so exciting. I can't believe you are half way there already.

Gin, I wondered about your frig and if you have a freezer full of food. When I was a kid, we had water in our basement as a result of Agnes, the hurricane that devestated the state. Our power was off and I remember shining a flashlight down the basement stairs and seeing a pizza float by. Our freezer had started to float and tipped over in the flood.

Heather, I think the idea of a PYGFO shower is great!

I don't expect to be on either RT this year. There just isn't any extra money in the budget. Maybe next year...

Today calls for yoga or stretch, so I'll be doing Yoga for Happiness when I get home from work. Have a good one ladies.

Today will be another cardio day for me. I need to detox from all the bad eating I enjoyed while on vacation. I think I'll try Low Max.

My DH was not to pleased at my excitement over the announcement of the Road Trip. He says we just got back from one vacation and here I am planning another. I'll have to work on him.

Lara - Congratulation on your baby girl!! They are the sweetest things (once they get their own way, LOL!!!)

Heather - Hope you enjoyed Legs & Glutes. That one always give me DOMS. What brand of ankle weights did you get? I'm looking for a new pair.

Hello to everyone else.

Carolyn

Good morning ladies!

First off - CONGRATS Lara!!!! Any girl names yet? ;)

Last night was MuscleMax for me. For some reason I really struggled through the entire workout. I kept getting nauseous and by about 1/2 way through I just totally crashed - no energy, nothing... I was SO mad at myself. I couldn't understand why I was having such a hard time. I wasn't pushing myself that hard and none of the exercises were anything I hadn't done a 100 times before. I pushed myself through the workout and then just chalked it up to an off night. I feel fine this morning and thankfully I have some muscle soreness. I don't feel like my workouts are effective unless I'm sore the next day. ;)

I talked to DH about the Road trip and thankfully he is totally supportive of me going again. He knows how much fun I had last time and that you alls are "normal". ;) I plan to try for the August one - fingers crossed. I hope I make it. That will really give me some motivation to clean up my eating and up my endurance. Right now, I consider myself a big wuss when it comes to endurance. I take too many breaks.

Carolyn - Keep working on him. My DH wasn't too psyched about it either last year, but after seeing the pictures and finding out that all my internet friends were totally normal, he was ok with it. He understands that I need a "girl" trip every once in a while. I have 0 girlfriends who lives close to me, so this is it for me!

Hi everyone! This morning was a 30 minute treadmill run followed by shoulders. I talked to DH about the road trip yesterday and he didn't say no, but he didn't say yes. I went to the dentist yesterday and it turns out that I need two crowns (about $600) and the dr. also recommended some veneers for two teeth (about $1300). So, I guess it wasn't really smart of me to bring up the road trip on the same day I mentioned $2k in dental work - LOL. I think I'll let it lie for awhile and bring it up again in a week or two. I'm also wondering if I really should go since we are trying to pay off some debt and I usually do get whatever I want. Maybe it's time to make some sacrifices. I did get to go last year and there are sure to be more trips in the future right? Guess I'm just spoiled. Something I need to ponder.

Lara - I am soooo excited about your news! Little girls are so sweet! I bet she will be beautiful (like her mama). Congratulations. :)

Heather - you're on for the accountability this year. I pretty much ate whatever I wanted this year and it really stuck. I can't keep sabotaging all my efforts every year.

Carolyn - I understand completely. I am so thankful that we have our little Atlanta group so we can get quality girl time occasionally. Did you see that we are doing a hike up Kennesaw Mtn. on 4/27? I hope you can go.

Liann - I am glad your hubby was supportive and understanding. Oh and on muscle max, I'm sure it was just an off night. That happens sometimes. I think our bodies are smarter than we are and know when we need a break.

Hello to everyone else and hope you have a great day!!

Hi ladies:)
Yeah another RT but I can't go:( Last year's was a b-day gift from my parents. Still trying to pay off my own debts. But if I could save up Cathe is worth every penny to go see!!!:) Any of you going to try to make it?
My workouts have been great! I can't stop being sore, but I know i've worked hard! Yesterday was 4DS Bootcamp lower body circuit plus calves and 4DS kb abs. Tonight is double cardio.
My mom kind of upset me when she said that Cathe looks better in her hardcore series then she does in her STS series. Any idea why she would say that? My guess is she is to muscular. But she is kind of old school Cathe looks better than ever to me:) But the hard core series she looked incrediable also!
Lara I'm so glad your having a girl! She is going to be so much fun!
Talk to you girls soon:)
Randi

Hi Ladies!

Today was PUB and SM#1. Those bicep curls in PUB are killer. They just go on FOREVER! Glad to put that one away for a while!

Heather--I always love to read your posts. We do need to try to keep our thread going! I'll be doing one of the KPC premixes tomorrow.

Lara--It's a Girl!! I am so happy for you! I have boys (obviously big now) and they are wonderful, but I just love the little girls I have had in my classes through the years!:) So sweet.

Robin--Okay...I was LOL thinking about the frozen pizza floating by in your basement! I threw out just about everything and of course, I had just been to the store the day before!

Tess and Randi--I hear you on the $ of the RT. Our ds is getting married next weekend...rehearsal dinner, honeymoon, etc.$$$ We'll see. I would really like to go on the RT.

Hi Carolyn , Liann and all others!
Gin:)

Hello.

Thank you everyone!! We are so excited! DH and I would have been happy either way, but I think we were both secretly hoping for a girl. I am so close to my mom and sister, so I guess I am hoping it can be that way with my daughter too:) DH and I went and bought her first "girl" outfit today. It is really cute!! I think DH and I are going to need 2nd jobs to pay for all of this!!
I did KPC today. With all of my cardio marathons lately, it felt pretty easy tonight. I wanted to do more, but we had to watch American Idol. I hope to get up early and get on the TM before work tomorrow. It will be a long day with work. When I get off at 7, I have to go meet my sister's friends to finish planning her shower and party.

Heather...That is so sweet of you to say! I know, I can't wait to stock up her closet with clothes!! Yes, I agree. We need to keep our check-in going. I wish we could all go on the RT again this year.

Robin...The ultrasound was really exciting (once I got the good report). I am hoping for next year's RT also. I hope you enjoyed yoga.

Carolyn...I love LoMax! Yes, girls are sweet when they get their way:) I am sure she will have several grandparents that will let her have her way all the time!!

Liann...Thanks. We have thrown some ideas out there, but nothing serious yet. It seems like such a hard decision. We want to name her after someone in the family, but also want an original name. Who knows what we will end up with. I am open to suggestions:)

Tess...Thank you!! I hope you get to go on the RT! I know what you mean about getting your way most of the time though. I really hope there is another one (or 2) next year!!

Randi...Your guess sounds right to me. My mom doesn't like a lot of muscle either. I personally love it though! I just wish I was as dedicated as Cathe and crew to get that way!!

Gin...WOW, your DS's wedding is already next weekend?? Where does the time go? Are you all set for the wedding?

I think it is time for bed now. I always love night time because that is when I feel her kick the most:)

Good Morning its 4:40 a.m. I'm getting ready to do double cardio from 4ds. Yesterday I did 4ds back and chest. I don't know whether this is a compliment or not, the girl at the tanning salon asked me if i bodybuild. I said no, and she said you are very sculpted and there is women that actually compete that come into the salon
Lara Great workout yesterday. Do you find it harder to workout the more time passes because your pregnant?
Heather how have you been? I definatly want to keep in touch with all of us 07 RTers.
Gin I hope you get to go on the RT:) Congrats to your son!
Tess WOW that's alot of money! How frustrating}( Yes I will definatly plan on going on RTs in the future. I know it's not happening this year:(
Liann I hate when I have those days were I don't feel like i'm goin to make it to the end of my workout! Also sometimes when i feel like that I end up gettin sickx( I hope you make the RT! I would love for someone to go and tell me all about it!
Robin I hope your are feeling completly better! Yoga sounds nice right now but have to do cardio today.
Caroly great job with LoMax, Are your legs sore this morning?
Take it easy ladies
Randi

PYGFO Sisters:

Yippee! I am so happy with The Biggest Loser finale results this year and a female winner after all these years. Ali looks amazing. Kelly looks great too. She is closer to my age and body type and gives me a better picture of what I will look like someday. I was pulling for her as the underdog, but I am thrilled that Ali won. She beat Roger too! When I saw him and heard that America voted for him, I thought it was all over for the girls. The finalists only had 6 weeks at home to prepare for this (as opposed to 3 months in past seasons). Ali lost another 13 pounds in those 6 weeks. She kept her word to Jillian and did not go below 120 pounds. Kelly lost over 100 pounds too. Jillian definitely gets results. She trains winners every season. The only year one of Bob’s team members won was when Jillian took a year off and Kim entered the picture. I am curious about Jillian’s 30-Day Shred. The format is similar to Cathe’s Boot Camp (which is perfect for my attention span), and the video clip at Collage looks good.

I fell asleep after the show last night, so this is my check-in for yesterday. My morning workout was the Low Impact Circuit upper body circuit premix. The first step combination and the bonus combination are my favorites. I love the V-steps, shuffles, scoops, ponies, and stomps. I am not sure why this upper body work is so challenging for me. I lift much heavier weights during the 4-Day Split. I need to start working on endurance before STS arrives!

I bounced on my rebounder last night instead of driving to the club. I was tired for some reason.

I am praying about the Road Trip. Before I make a non-refundable payment, I want to be sure about this. Last year, I would have been disappointed if Cathe did not have a Road Trip because I had been waiting for 2 years to attend one. This year, I would have been fine if she announced that she is too busy with STS to plan one. I got excited when I received her e-mail. It sounds like fun, and I want to go. I have a group of friends from the 2007 Road Trip that I e-mail on a regular basis. We wanted to plan a reunion cruise around New Year’s Eve, but that was too expensive for some of us. I am hoping that all of us are able to secure a spot for the same Road Trip because our reunion is one of the main reasons I want to return again this year. I learned yesterday that one of my friends may not be able to attend. So I have been praying and pondering. I was more than willing to go alone last year because I wanted to meet Cathe and crew and experience Cathe’s live classes for the first time. There were a lot of Ya Yas I wanted to meet last year too. I had some of these same hesitations last year when I read about people who were not able to attend. I am sure I will have a good time even if I do not know a soul. I would like to attend another Road Trip, and I believe I will have other plans next year. There does not seem to be as much chatter and excitement about the Road Trip this year, so it will be interesting to see who goes.

Robin, I am sure it was not funny at the time, but I laughed out load when I pictured a pizza floating in your basement!

Carolyn, I hope you are able to attend a Road Trip this year. I would love to see you again.

Liann, you obviously did not tell your husband about the nuts like me. I am far from normal. LOL!

Tess, I am sorry about your bad dental news. I hope you are able to attend a Road Trip.

Randi, I respectfully disagree with your mother. In my opinion, Cathe looks tired and sad in some of the Hardcore Series workouts (especially the Gym Style upper body workouts). She looks much healthier and happier in most of the STS blog pictures (not counting “Don’t Make Mom Angry!”). I am basing this more on her face than her body. She is always in amazing shape. As for me, I love the size and shape of Cathe’s arms and shoulders. I have no desire to get that lean and cut, but I would be thrilled to have her muscles with a bit more fat on top. A softer look “fits” me better, and I just plain like to eat. LOL!

Gin, I hope we attend the same Road Trip this year. I would love to see you again.

It is time for my workout. A Kick, Punch, & Crunch premix sounds good. See y’all later.

Blessings,
Heather B.

“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31 NIV).

Heather,
Good point on Cathe's facial expressions she seemed more "hardcore"in her hardcore series which it does make me work harder though. But you're right she looks absolutly fantastic and is so much more energetic and glowing with happiness!!

Good morning
Just finished 4DS shoulders, bis and tri's. Was going to take more recent pics but my web cam is showing my pics fuzzy, don't have a clue what's wrong with it x(
where is everyone?
off to work boooooooooo:(
Randi

Hi everyone. Hi Randi. I think our checkin goes in spurts. Some days are real active and some periods are quiet. Well, I have decided not to go on the road trip this year. I am so thankful that I had the chance to go last year and I hope to be able to go again in a few years, but this year just isn't good timing for me. I think DH is happy with my decision. He would have been OK either way, but it does feel good to make a sacrifice for the greater good. I hope everyone who goes has a great time and I can't wait to see pictures and video clips!!

This morning's workout was butts and guts standing leg and ab premix. Those low plane lunges get me every time. Ouchie!!

The eating has been going good. I was reading Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle and Tom Venuto is really big on writing down your goals and journalling progress, so I started a blog dedicated to eating clean. I am posting my recipes and menus there, and interesting info I pick up along the way. Feel free to stop by! Link is in my sig. Take care everyone and have a great day.

Hi ladies! Wish I could say the eating has been good, but it has actually been awful! I really need to work on not letting myself actually get "hungry". Once I do, all self-restraint is gone. I did get in a 45 minute run on the TM last night (a little over 3 miles). It felt great at the time, but now my left ankle is giving me some trouble. Not sure what the problem is, but it is sore around the outside of the ankle and right underneath the foot. I'll give it a few more days before my next run and see how it goes. I have blisters that have to heal anyways! ;)

Not sure what is on tap tonight - probably some upper body work. Hope you are all having a good Friday-eve!!!

Hello.

I missed checking in yesterday. My computer is acting up and I have to use DH's (which he is on all the time). My workouts have slowed down this week. I have been super busy. We are about to leave to go see our good friends at the hospital. She delivered a girl last night by c section. I can't wait to see her! I am sure it will make me want my daughter right now! I will BBL for personals.

Good Morning Ladies!

Sorry that I have not had time to post since Tuesday. Since then I have....Wed.--run and KPC, Thurs.--HSC and Fri.--yoga. Tomorrow is PH.
I have an interview this aft for a job that I really would like. Hope the interview goes well.

Have a great day all! I will have to post personals later.
One week until RT#1 sign up. I sure wish we could all go!!:-(
Gin:)

Randi

Hello.

I am trying to muster up enough energy to do a long workout this afternoon. I really need to! DH took me to Coldstone Creamery after visiting our friends last night. Needless to say, I ate a really BIG serving in a waffle bowl. That stuff is so good! Why did we have to have one of those stores open up right as I am craving ice cream all the timex(
Have a great Friday. Hopefully, I will check back in later with a workout!

Hi.

I am just checking in with my workout. I did Cardio Fusion and GS BSB. I have neglected my weights this past week and my arms definitely felt it!
I will be getting up at 4 to go voluteer and then Race for the Cure! It will be an exhausting, but fun day. I hope I can work a nap in sometime in the afternoon. We'll see.

Randi...I thought my workouts would be harder to do at this point, but I actually feel really good doing them. I have added back in some of the jumps I didn't do previously. I am sure when I get bigger and it is harder to breathe, I will have to cut back.

Have a great Saturday!

Good Morning Ladies,

I have been a slacker posting here this week. I seems like this time of year I have so much going on. Graduation and Prom are on the top of my mind and I am feeling a little overwhelmed. Both are new for me to deal with.

Anyway, my workouts have been pretty consistent but my eating has sucked. I am going to do a circiut today, either BM2, LIC, or DM. What doesn't kill me will only make me stronger, right???

I didn't think I would be able to make the road trip this year due to many other financial obligations, but last night DH said he didn't care if I went and we would figure it out. I just hope he doesn't change his mind by Friday noon.

Tess - I read that you may not be going. It seem like a lot of folks from last year won't be going. Do you know if Vicki is planning to make it? I read your OD post about her boys and their band. That's very exciting. Tell her hello when you talk to her.

Heather and Gin - I hope we make it in on the same trip. July - right?

Hi to Liann, Lara, Laura, Randi, Michelle and Robin and anyone else I may have missed. Have a great weekend:)
