PYGFO Sisters:

Welcome to April! :) By request, I am starting a weekly check-in for us. Hopefully, this will inspire everyone to check-in more often! ;-) Let’s have a blast this month and kick a few pounds of fat to the curb! :7

It is time to flip your Cathe calendar too! Cathe fit tip for this month is to bless your body with sleep. On that note, nighty night and sweet dreams. :* See y’all tomorrow night.

Blessings,

Good Morning,

I totally missed the March checkin..By the time I saw it the month was almost over. I am going to have to go back and read all of the updates for March so I know what has been going on with everyone.

I already changed my Cathe calendar. I love the purple outfits in Core MAx.

Heather - I think I did read somewhere that you were having some issues with food allergies. I hope that has all been resolved.

Randi - Your rotation looks great! Have fun with it.

I have been a slacker the past few weeks. I was following the BFL plan since 1/1 and was doing great. I had lost 9 pounds and a few inches. Not sure what triggered it, but about 3 weeks ago I started to fall of the wagon. I hit me head so hard I practically go a concussion!!!LOL. I found all the weight I lost. I do feel it is stress related though.

Anyway, I am back on track for this week.Today is 4DS kickbox. Everytime I do this workout, it reminds me of the roadtrip.

Next week is spring break and I am taking the kids to Naples, FL for a long needed vacation. The problem for me is that we are going with neighbors and it will be hard for me to workout while they are there. I hope and pray that at least I will be able to eat somewhat clean that week.

Hello to everyone I missed last month. I will check in later after I read all the posts.

Carolyn

Good Afternoon PYGFOers!

This month I am doing Cathe's June 07 rotation. Today was PLB and SM#3. Tomorrow I will run and do 4ds KB and abs.
Wonder when an announcement will be made about the next RT. Wonder when STS filming will be complete. Exciting!

Heather--Thank you for starting the thread and making it one week at a time. I became somewhat overwhelmed with March's PYGFO thread.:p

Carolyn--I'm sorry about the BFL "fall off". I started that also and didn't stick with it long enough!x( I do well with the exercise , but the eating right is so tough for me sometimes. Enjoy Spring Break to FL. How old are your kids?

Randi--Your rotation looks good.

Hi to Lara, Laura, Robin, Tess, Michelle, Vicki and all other PYGFOers.

Gin:)

Hello everyone!

I got in a good workout today. I did IMAX Extreme. It felt really good!! I was HORRIBLE with my eating tonight!! I went to a dinner hosted by drug reps and a doctor that gives botox to our kiddos. It was at one of the nicest restaurants in our area with all you could eat food (and wine, but none for me right now). I literally felt like I had to be rolled out of the restaurant!! I work all day tomorrow and have a hair appointment at 7 tomorrow night. I am going to HAVE to get up early and get on the TM!!

Heather...Thanks for reminding me to flip my calendar. Last month I didn't do it until the 15th. Not sure why.

Randi...I will have to keep my eye out for her CD. Your workouts look good for this month. I have never been good about planning out my workouts that far in advance!

Carolyn...Nice to see you again. Sorry about your stress and setback. I love 4DS KB! I also think of the RT when I do that one and BC. Have fun in Florida!! I can't wait until June. We usually go later in the summer, but we are going earlier this year since the baby is due late summer.

Gin...I can't wait until they announce filming is done. I just love getting new workouts!! I haven't done PLB in forever. I want to do it soon before it becomes too difficult for me. I remember it made me very sore the last time.

I am off to do paperwork and catch up on Idol and the Bachelor.

PYGFO Sisters:

Happy April! This was a glorious day! I woke up with a bit of a food hangover but thankfully did not puff up overnight after my splurge meal. I was tired this morning and opened my Bible for a burst of inspiration and encouragement. After compromising with my eating for 3 days, I was hoping and praying that I would not start sliding down a slippery slope again like I have done in the past. God led me to read Ezekiel 37 this morning, and I was greatly encouraged. God will restore me like those dry bones, and He will save me from my sinful backsliding. He is my Deliverer! This was another breakthrough day for me.

I flipped my Cathe calendar and recorded my weight and measurements. My weight is holding steady at 220 pounds for a loss of 10 pounds in March. Yippee! I successfully made it through my first restaurant meal of the year without losing any ground (or gaining any weight). My measurements are all smaller too.

I started a double cardio challenge this morning. It is my goal to enjoy a cardio workout twice a day for the next 40 days. My friend Rebecca is joining me for this journey. I am walking in freedom and listening to my body instead of following a planned rotation. As soon as I decided to have fun for 40 days, I felt lighter and freer. I was craving the Higher Intensity Step cardio premix, and I enjoyed every step this morning and smiled the whole time. I love, love, love this workout! The music and fun moves energized me.

I drank plenty of spring water with lemon this morning to cleanse my system after my restaurant meal last night. I have finally discovered the key to enjoying treats in moderation without falling off the wagon and sliding down a slippery slope. One day of sparkly clean eating is all it takes to detox my body and get me back on track. Moderation is the key and not allowing one splurge meal to turn into days of mindless indulgences.

This was a peaceful and productive day at work. I maintained my focus and got a lot accomplished. After work, I went to the club and jogged in the pool for 30 minutes. The salt water was warm and soothing, and I am expecting to sleep like a baby tonight.

I discovered a new kind of bread tonight. Cathe introduced me to spelt bread last month. Yummy. I went to the health food section of Drug Emporium on the way home tonight, and they were out of Food for Life spelt bread. I experimented with millet bread. Yummy! It is chewier than spelt bread and not as hearty or nutty but just as good. The pink lemonade Emergen-C gave me a burst of energy too. It’s all good!

My meals and snacks are packed for tomorrow. It is time to bless my body with a restful night of sleep so I can enjoy my morning cardio blast.

Randi, I love Body Max 2!

Carolyn, welcome back! I love the purple outfits in Core Max, and 4-Day Split Kickbox reminds me of the Road Trip too. All 4-Day Split cardio premixes do! Thankfully, my consultation with a clinical nutritionist helped me recover from my food allergy crisis and get back on track. Thank you for asking.

Gin, it is good to see you again too! We will be in touch soon.

Lara, I am glad you enjoyed IMAX Extreme! Great workout!

Nighty night and sweet dreams!

Blessings,
Heather B.

Good Morning
It's 4:15 getting ready to do 4ds chest shoulders and tri's.
Heather sounds like you had a great day yesterday! Congrats on losing 10 lbs!!!! That is awesome!
Lara great job on Imax Extreme!! Are you up this early too, since you have a lot to do today? Honestly I don't like days like that because I feel rushed it stresses me outx( That's why I get up so early to workout even though I don't have to be at work till 10am.
Carolyn How are you ? do you have a pic of yourself I don't remember you on the road trip:( I wan't very social on the RT, was pretty shy.
Gin June 07 looks like an awesome rotation! Aren't they done filming! LOL JK:) Wasn't Ab Circuit there last video?
Have to get siked up b/4 I workout}(

Goodmorning PYGFO-pals. Sorry to be such a poor poster. I was with Gin in being overwhelmed with a month long thread. Heather, I think a weekly check in is much better.

Heather, way to go on the 10 pound drop last month. Keep up the good work. I'd like to lose about 7 pounds by June. We are going hiking in Yellowstone Natl Park with my sister and her DH for a week. I ordered some hiking pants which should arrive today and I'm almost certain they will be tight.

Lara, how is your pregnancy going? Well, I hope.

Carolyn, enjoy your vacation. I hope you can find a way to keep up with your workouts.

Hi Randi. I admire you gals who can get up early and workout. I intended to do a Cardio Coach workout this morning, since I have a lot going on after work, but, alas, I slept in.

Gin, are you going to the next road trip? I'm afraid if there is one this year, I'll have to pass. With a week in the Virgin Islands, and a week in Yellowstone, I'm short on vacation time and money. I'm selfishly hoping there won't be one until next year.

Hi to Tess, Vicki, Laura and any other PYGFOers I missed. I hope to be a better PYGFO-poster.

Randi,

I'll have to dig out a picture but not sure how to post it.I believe you sat at our table for dinner on the road trip. Gin was also at our table along with Melissa, Erin, Brooke, Patty (curly short hair) and I think your mom came in toward the end.
I don't know if you remember, but you and I kept wearing the same shirts that we got at Walmart. I had a yellow and blue one and yours was white. Does this ring any bells??

Carolyn

Gin,

My boys are 17, (turns 18 on 4/13) 15 and my DD is 9. My oldest is going with a friend and his parents to a place in FL called Sebastian Inlet. It is near Cocoa Beach. I know he will be fine going off by himself but I still worry. He is very responsible and so is his friend and the parents.

I am driving 9 hours with the other 2 kids and then my DH flies down Wednesday night. I desperately need a break from all the little ones that I babysit for.

Carolyn

Hi everyone! I am sitting here sick for the 3rd time in only a few months. I keep taking zicam so hopefully this will end soon. I can't believe I'm sick again. I stayed home yesterday and am home today just watching sex and the city dvd's. I haven't even showered yet. Blah... I really had some good momentum going on my workouts too but I guess this will just be a forced rest period. I really hope I feel better tomorrow so I can go to work.

Carolyn and Robin - great to see you both!!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Hi ladies! Just checking in really quick from work. I am experiencing some major armpit DOMS today. My DH finally installed my pull up bar and I have been doing chin-ups every other day on it. I can't believe all the core and arm/chest muscles it uses! It's a good pain though. I really needed to hit the area around my upper arm before tank top season starts. I found out that I cannot do pull ups though. It's not as much a matter of strength as it is anatomy. I have a messed up right shoulder joint. It's is VERY loose and pops out without much force. Any above the head weight moves have to be done with my elbows in not out. I tried one pull up and actually felt the shoulder start to dislocate. Phewey... I can do the cheat ones on my chest press bar though, so I'll see if after doing those for a while, my shoulder becomes strong enough for a real one.

I plan a nice long run on my treadmill tonight and then some lower body (gag) work. I hate lower body work... ;) Hope you all are doing good!!! Must get back to work now. :'(

Good Afternoon Ladies!

Today was 3 mile run and 4ds KB and abs.

Lara--IMAX extreme? That sounds brutal! Is that from the Terminator? I keep looking for that one on ebay. I watch Am. Idol also.

Carloyn--It didn't register with me who you were until you mentioned that we sat at the same table on Sat night!! You were to my right and I remember talking to you about your kids and GA, etc. Sandy was also at our table to my left. I don't see her post very often. Do you babysit as a job?

Heather--Happy 10 lbs gone! WTG! You sound so happy. I love your attitude! May 17th may be a problem for me. My ds will be home on that weekend only. Let me know what else works for you.

Randi--I have been keeping track of the filming and I think Cathe has 4 more segments to film.

Robin--I would love to go on the next RT IF I can get in! How were the Virgin Islands? I have never been there. Beautiful? How is your knee?

Tess--Get well soon! Sending healing vibes your way!

Liann--Armpit DOMS?? That's a first for me! WTG on the chin ups! Enjoy your lower body work!;-)

Gin:)

PYGFO Sisters:

Mercy! Pit Bull (who is my Texas Cathe!) kicked my butt tonight! I had to rest and recover for a few hours before posting because I was too tired to type! My goal for this month is to bless my body with more sleep every night. I went to sleep at 11:00 p.m. last night. I am sleeping a little later this week and doing shorter morning workouts until my body adjusts to an earlier bedtime. I had fun with the 4-Day Split Kickbox cardio. I love the music and the energy of this workout, and it fills me with warm fuzzies and fond memories of the Road Trip. This is one of my happy workouts. It is so much fun and makes me feel so good inside!

I had abundant energy again today and decided to go to the club after work and give the legendary cardio boot camp class a whirl. Oh my word! That woman can wear me out with nothing but a band! She has reformatted the class again, and it was actually fun! We did a lot of leg presses, squats, and lunges holding light weights or plates. I was praising God that I slept through my leg workout Monday morning. This was definitely a Butts and Guts on fire workout! We ran sprints, and I felt like I was pushing my body through quicksand. This class definitely wiped me out. We did a few fun hi-lo moves with the band too. Then we put the loops around our shoes, kept our legs wide so the band stayed tight, and did airborne firewalkers! Oh my! That is the best way I know to describe them. After seeing my Road Trip “Put Your Game Face On!” tee shirt, Pit Bull told me to jump higher and get more air under my feet because she knew I could. She is my Jillian! She really knows just how and when to push me. We also ran and did football drills with the band looped around our feet. My legs and glutes were on fire! We wrapped up the class with fun stability ball abs. I was so relieved to finally get those bands off my feet and get down on the mat!

I am so glad I went to the club tonight instead of the free night at the gym for our Biggest Loser class. We have another month of Wednesday night classes at church. My water aerobics teacher is moving in a few weeks too. I may return to cardio boot camp once a week in May. My knees are not crying yet, so I will see how they feel in the morning. The impact was not over the top, and this was a much more balanced class than the last one I attempted. I need to eat a granola bar or something with more carbs for energy before I go again. The strawberries and fresh mozzarella I enjoyed this afternoon did not sustain me. There are no words to describe how run over by a steamroller I felt after class tonight. I toasted some millet bread and refueled with it because I was too tired to cook dinner.

Randi, the 10 pounds in March was food allergy bloat. It is time to blast off fat this month!

Robin, welcome back! I prefer the weekly check-in too, but I switched to a monthly format in March because we were so inactive. Of course, I was only checking in once a week before Easter.

Carolyn, hugs to you.

Tess, I hope you feel better soon.

Liann, I am looking forward to Cathe’s new pull-up tower. Vertical pull-ups are out my league, but I can see myself doing the intermediate version Brenda is demonstrating.

Gin, we can pick a new date next month. I am sure you are busy with wedding plans this month!

It is time to call it a day. Hugs and sweet dreams to all my check-in friends. Nighty night.

Blessings,
Heather B.

Hello.

I just got back from my hair appointment.  It has been a long day!  My kiddos weren't on their best behavior today.  AND, neither has DH for that matterx( I got up this morning and did iTread Set 1 60 minutes before work.  I haven't done an iTrain in awhile.  I figure I should start downloading some more of them.  I just realized that they are charging me 9.99 every month, and I don't know why.  I know I signed up for something about a year ago, but I don't recall there being a monthly charge!

Heather...You do sound like you are doing well!  I also recently discovered spelt bread.  I really like it.  I also make my dog a piece of toast with it every once in awhile.  I try to give her brown rice, sweet potatoes, beans, etc for dinner.  I don't like her just eating dry food all of the time.  She really likes it, too!

Randi...You have me beat!!  The earliest I get up is around 5:45 for a workout!  I wasn't up that early this morning though.  Luckily, I didn't have to be at work until 945.  That rarely happens, so I took advantage and got up at 645 to workout.  I know what you mean about feeling rushed in the morning.  I try to allow extra time so I can get things together, eat a good breakfast, and pack my lunch.

Robin...Hello!  I have been wondering about you!  It sounds like you have some great trips coming up.  I am also selfishly hoping there isn't a RT since I am sure I won't be able to go.  I will go again though!!  My pregnancy is going really well.  I feel like I have been so lucky so far (except for the month of the flu).  I will find out the gender on the 14th.  I will be 21 weeks at that point--more than halfway through!!

Carolyn...It sounds like I missed out by not sitting with all you posters at dinner on the RT!!

Tess...So sorry you are sick again!  I hope you feel better soon!!  I bet you will pick back up where you left off with your workouts!

Liann...I am jealous of your pull-up bar!  I have wanted one for so long!  I think I will invest in one after the baby.  I am not sure I could pull my own weight up plus the baby's!!  I just love having DOMS from a new exercise!!

Gin...Yes, it is on the Terminator.  I really like that DVD.  I think the IMAX one is around 70-75 minutes and the other 2 are 60-65 minutes.  I like mixing up the workouts.  I think that is why I like HCE, CF, and the Terminator so much!  Do you have any AI favorites?

I need to do paperwork, but I think I just want to sit on the couch and do nothing for an hour before I go to bed!  Have a great day!  It is closer to the weekend!!

Good morning:)
Today is 4DS legs and S&H legs, abs. I am so nautious and bloated i wish I would just start!
Hope everyone has a great day
RAndi

Hi gals! I did S&H Legs and Shoulders last night. I really need to build my shoulders up more and that workout will definitely do it! I'm feeling very tight this morning and know the real DOMS will follow as the afternoon progresses!

Lara - The pull-up bar is a lot of fun. I'm only good for a few chin-ups and even then, I can't do them one after another. I've started working on negatives, so I basically stand on a high step and start off in the up position, lowering myself very slowly. I'm hoping this will help me build up some strength to actually do sets of them.

Heather - Glad you had fun at the cardio boot camp! :) I get warm fuzzies too when I hear anything that reminds me of the Road Trip.

Gin - The "armpit" DOMS are the best! You must get some! ;) Only a few exercises do this to me. Whatever I did, it's sore all the way around the actual armpit. Just where I need to tighten for tank top season. I think the chin-ups really do the trick.

I am like many of you and am selfishly hoping their isn't a RT this year. I know if there is I am REALLY going to want to go, but I just can't afford it after my little TM purchase. I really need to get my summer vacation planned to and my DH isn't going to wait forever to get the tickets to WA. I really do not think they are going to have one at this point though. It's already April and most people will have their summer plans scheduled already. We'll see though...

Tonight I am just going to do a nice Cardio Coach workout on my TM. Then tomorrow I will finish up the S&H series with some back/chest/core work.

Hope you alls are enjoying your Friday-eve! :)

p.s. Randi - I hope it just starts already for you too! I hate the waiting and feeling like crap! That was me last week.

Hi Ladies,

Today I had my tennis match and we kicked some serious butt!!It always feels so good to win. That was my workout for today. I will be doing some cleanmax this afternoon to get ready for vacation.

Gin - Yes, I babysit as my job. This is my 6th year doing it. The moms are teachers at the elementary school. It all started b y accident when my DS was in 4th grade. I was room mom for his class and the teacher was pregnant and looking for a long term sub for the class and also a sitter. She brought the subject up a few times and I thought about it and decided what the heck. My DD is in preschool and this would give me something to do and some extra $$. Well, 6 years and 9 children later, with one on the way in Oct, this is what I do.
Three of the four moms job share so I don't have more that 5 kids on any given day. I only have one that comes every day. Right now they range from 1 to 5 yrs old. The oldest goes to kindergarden in the fall, only to be replaced by the new one in Oct. I tell you, my job is very secure. I actually have a waiting list.

Most of my friends think I'm insane. The best part is that I only work during the school calendar and get to be here for my own kids during summers and christmas break and other school holidays.

Also, the babies are on MY schedule. I get to workout with Cathe every morning at 10:00:D

Carolyn

PYGFO Sisters:

I woke up feeling like I had been run over by a steamroller, but my knees were not sore at all. That is very good news! After my quiet time, I enjoyed the Kick, Punch, & Crunch cardio conditioning premix. These short and intense premixes are just right this week.

I rested after work and bounced on my rebounder instead of driving to the club tonight. I am hoping to get in the pool for 30 minutes after work tomorrow.

Yippee! I am looking forward to my Friday morning cardio party. I may enjoy Rhythmic Step again. I will see what is calling my name in the morning.

I am pondering the possibility of taking an extended break from the pursuit of weight and size goals. I am loving my workouts and want to keep enjoying them. I just need a mental vacation from thinking about my weight if that makes sense.

Lara, I hope your kids and husband were on their best behavior today.

Randi, I hope you start soon.

Liann, I love your beautiful avatar.

Carolyn, I love babies! How fun that they are on your schedule so you can enjoy Cathe every morning!

Blessings,
Heather B.
