Push It

Good morning all!

Crazy weekend for me! I did get in a good workout on Saturday (4DS Kickbox w/ 20 min on the recumbent bike). Nothing yesterday because of church, cooking, and a Dexter marathon (because HBO on demand was free this weekend ). Today I'm gearing up to do Intensity (step + HiiT).

M made the A team!!! We were so excited on Saturday! It's really a *huge* deal for him. He'll learn so much next year; he's got great coaches. The head coach is a former NHL player (current firefighter) and is pretty easy on the eyes. ;)

Natasha: Hope you had a fun weekend with your family! Sounds busy! We did Niagara Falls/Toronto a few years ago for our summer vacation. We stayed on the Canadian side; we really liked it but was super expensive/pretty touristy (although that's what we expected).

Jennifer: Congrats on the new kindle. Hope you enjoy it! I got one for Christmas last year. I like it but tend to only use it when I travel. I just loaded it up with a bunch from the library for my trip this week (Cutting for Stone, The Night Circus, The Litigators, The Outliers and a Ted Dekker). Thanks for asking about the chest stuff. Dr couldn't find anything "major" (heart, lungs, etc). It's calmed down a bit so I'm feeling better about it. Interestingly, blood work showed I'm severely deficient in VitD so I'm on a 50,000 IU/week supplement for the next month. Hopefully this can tackle some of the fatigue I've been feeling.

Stacie: So strange about your neighbor and step. I ditto the suggestion to try it without any risers. I do remember taking a friend to step class a few times and she just couldn't do it but it was more a coordination thing than an endurance thing.

Toni: So you totally understand where I'm coming from with these crazy competitive teams?! It's ridiculous right?

Heartymax: Hope you're feeling better!

Have a great day ladies!

Hope everyone had a great Easter! We arrived in Georgia on Sunday. Both are from here so visits give us a chance to see family. My boys absolutely love being with their cousins. My mom and I had dinner at her sister's house and I had so much fun laughing with my cousins.

I didn't bring any equipment or Workouts. I woke up this morning and decided to be as creative as possible. I searched you tube on my IPhone and did a 15 minute Cathe Ab Circuits workout. Then I found a full JM 6 week 6 pack workout. I used a waterbottle for the light dumb bell. Not bad for a let me see what I can do today workout. After having a rest last week, I know my body has to get some type of movement. I am al determined to eat relatively healthy this week. I found 30 day shred full workout on you tube also so I think this will get me through the vacation week.

I will get caught up on personals soon.

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a good Easter weekend. Yesterday we went to my sister's house and Tyler had a blast playing with the kids. Spring break is over and it's back to school for him today! Today is also the start of the new teachers...keep your fingers crossed that they are a good fit together!

As for my neighbor and step...she has never done a step workout with risers. She's already at just the platform level. I don't know if the choreography bothers her or what it is. I guess we'll just keep working on it!

By the way, I tried CCK's Oatmeal Bakes to Go and I thought they were tasty. Tyler tried some last night and said they were good and this morning he was complaining about them. Sigh. I guess I will make a batch of breakfast cookies tonight and hope those go over better tomorrow.

Last Wednesday I stumbled across a Bob Harper DVD set at Target for just $15.00. The reviews I read on VF looked pretty good on those workouts. It looks like they are short too which is what I am looking for right now. I am still trying to make time for a morning workout but my alarm clock on my phone is not working right for some reason. The alarms go off but they don't make any noise. I need to look into why that's happening.

Jennifer
How was Craig's trip? I bet you are both happy he is back!

Congrats on getting the Hot Flash workouts! I saw on the OD that it looks like you like them quite a bit.

Natasha
How was your trip to the in-laws and lunch at your aunt's?

HeartyMax
Great job on still getting those workouts in even if you don't have the equipment. If you can find JM's Burn Fat Boost Metabolism on YouTube, that workout is a good travel one because it doesn't use any weights.

TMJ
That's terrific about the news from the doctor! Low vitamin D levels can cause a lot of exhaustion. I hope the extra supplements help you feel better.

Congrats to M for making the team!!!! Good gracious...former NHL player AND firefighter AND kids coach? Is he single? ;)

Toni
How how is been not having the kids around?

Have a great day everyone!

Hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend :)

Yesterday was MM UB premix + 1 Tabata from Tabatacised. I'm trying to ease my way back into some high impact plyo without over doing it :) Today was 4DS Kickboxing + Core Max Balanced core premix. I wanted to do some core work that didn't use my UB, so no HC today. I really like this mixing and matching of workouts. You guys have me hooked on this now :)

Stacie
Having no kids is fabulous!! It's nice to have a break. I love my kids but good lord can they be tiring :)

TMJ
So glad your son made the team he wanted :) It's nice when their hard work pays off!!

Tasha
Things at home are what they are :) My husband and his two kids(and the baby) are moving to an apt this coming weekend. It's not just a problem with the step daughter. She is a problem and I could probably deal with that if my husband and I were on the same page. However, we are on complete opposite pages about how to deal with this. He seems to think he has very few options while I think he has quite a few, but he doesn't want to go that route. We are going to go do some family counseling between he and I first and then bring the kids in. If he and I can't get on the same page, no sense bringing the kids in. So that is where we are right now. Certainly not ideal. And the funny thing is that if you had asked me even 6 weeks ago if this would have been in my future I would have told you that you were crazy. Yet here I sit. Life is funny that way.

HeartyMax
So glad you are enjoying your time with family. It's always nice to reconnect when you haven't seen folks in a while!!

Hi everyone.
Craig's coming home Wednesday so I still have a couple more days of taking care of 3 kids by myself:D Actually I brought work home with me so I could leave early and didn't have to leave them inside all day for SO long.

For Easter I watched The Passion of Christ (Netflix) - wow, I'd never watched it before but I am glad that I was alone when I watched it. Talk about sobbing!

There is a great recipe on TeamBeachBody.com called Snak Bar-O-Matic; I made them yesterday and they turned out awesome! They are easy and fairly inexpensive to make - only 3 ingredients and you choose which ones. There's a formula and a list of what can be used for each part of the equation. Also, I made the Protein blueberry muffins (Spark.com - things to do with Protein Powder) on Saturday and they were pretty good - they definitely are low in sugar so I had one with PB&J to make it a bit better :) Craig and his family liked them, though; I sent most of them them with him to Ohio. Gotta feed my man some healthy food while he's on the road:)

I did Burnsets this morning, and my abs and thighs are a little sore from the Hotflash Core 1&2 workouts on Sunday. I'm feeling a Ride coming on for Tuesday morning:)

Toni,
I am sorry to hear that things are trying right now. Your workouts sound great, though:D I'm sure that helps to keep your spirits up. I agree - Tasha got us all hooked on all the mixing/matching and it's pretty darn cool:cool:

Stacie,
That's kind of funny about Tyler and the oatmeal bakes:confused: I'm glad you liked them, though!

I wonder if the step aerobics actually is harder because there is no faking. Not that she is faking on purpose. I mean, with supercuts and other cardio workouts it's possible that she is not actually working as hard as you think she is or maybe just not as long as the step workout. Good luck - I know you're beyond ready to move on and bless your heart that you're sticking with her. I really hope you are able to find some spinning or shorter workouts that you can do on your own.

Nice score with the Bob Harper DVD; I hope you enjoy it! BTW, thanks - yes, the Hotflash workouts are a nice change of pace.

OH - before I forget; from what I saw in an article it's chest flys :)

Tash,
That's so cool that you're hooked on the Dog Whisperer!

Way to go - pushing through the planks that you love so much. You cracked me up when you said you were a whiny little you know what:D LOL!

Craig and I ended up not going to the Ripped class but that was my call. I told him I'd go if he was looking forward to it (he wasn't really). It was SUCH a beautiful day for a change that I just couldn't see us going to a gym. We ended up on the patio bbqing steaks instead. He is being a trooper, though, and told me he would go to a class. Maybe this Friday, we'll see. Did I tell you he's planning to do a Tough Mudder in September? He is so not in shape for it so I'm just sort of prodding him. You're right, in all my group ex classes that I've ever been to the male population has been like 2% max! It's kind of strange, too - one would think they guys would want to hang out with the girls;)

How was your Easter trip?

TmJ,
Congrats to M on the A team! So happy for you both:)

Sounds like a nice workout the other day - Kickbox 4DS and the bike. I'm glad you're breaking free from Low Max a bit:D

It's a relief that nothing is seriously wrong but I can see how it's almost discouraging that it can't be fixed if no one knows what to fix. I hope the VitD helps! Ya know, chest pain can also be caused by gas. Maybe some digestion issues? Sorry, that might be TOO personal:D

Wow, you sure did load up on books! I do like print better but the newness of the Kindle is pretty cool. Except trying to read a 2-column PDF:mad: Do you happen to know what would cause my kindle to have the wrong time, and in addition not be able to find my time zone in the settings? The time was suddenly off by a 1/2 hour! Then I tried to fix it and there is no manual setting of the time. Weird!

Heartymax,
Glad you had such a nice time in Georgia! The do have the BEST peaches ever:)

Very creative workouts; how fun to change things up a bit! Enjoy your vacation week:D

I best get to the work I brought home - have a great rest of the day!

Hi fit & fab ladies :)

Really excited to tell you guys I'm getting Body Beast! I was looking at clips on youtube and proceeded to "show" Mark ;) (btw, I've been eying that program for a long time). He was interested in what he saw, and thought he could apply some of the training concepts at the gym. I love that the w/o's are only 30-40min! The trainer, Sagi, is super :eek:. I think as soon as I receive it, I will adhere to the rotation posted. This will allow me to throw in 1-2 Cathe cardio (although minimal cardio/hiit is recommended). I know my results depends on eating "clean", so I will definitely try my hardest. I don't know if it will hold a candle to STS or XT, but I'm willing to give it a try! Another exciting piece of news -- Mark's friend is giving him an adjustable bench and weight plates! He is moving and does not have enough space to store the equipment, so it's ALL MINE! OHHH HAPPPPYYYY DAYYYY!

Sunday's w/o was Tabatacise (a premix made in my WO Blender - 30min) and yesterday's w/o was S&H Bi's & Tri's.

Heartymax
Glad you had a great Easter in Georgia :).

TMJ
Congrats on your DS making the A team!
Niagara Falls the the biggest tourist "trap" imaginable. I have been a dozen or more times, and every time I say "this is just too expensive! NEVER again!" lol :p. Not to mention the food tastes like garbage .
Love Dexter, but IMO last season was not good at all .

Toni
Oh man, I'm so sorry to hear what's going on :(. I agree that you and your DH should be a united front, especially when raising children (I would imagine even more so with a blended marriage). I hope counseling proves helpful. {{{hugs}}}

Stacie
Which w/o's does the Bob Harper set have? OH my, his w/o always used to slay me! He really knows how to push...and push...and push some more .
I hope the new teacher is a good fit for Tyler! I will keep fingers and toes crossed.

Jennifer
I watched Passion Of The Christ a long time ago. If I recall, I really liked it, and also shed a few tears.
Sounds like you had a nice time with your babies :). I have a new found respect for dog owners now. It is definitely a TON of work and dedication!
Thanks for the tip on the Snak Bar-O-Matic! I'm going to check them out today :p.
What is a Tough Mudder? Sounds tough . I'm sure with your support and guidance, Craig is gonna do awesome!

Gotta jet! Have a kick-butt day everyone :D

Stacie---thanks for the Jillian BFBM recommendation. Bet Tyler is excited about the sub.

TMJ---congrats to your son. Nothing like watching your child accomplish something they really want. Proud mommy moment!! It let's kids know that hard work can pay off.

Toni--- blended families are not easy. The good news is you and your husband are willing to go to counseling. That's the first step to healing.

Jennifer--I have never seen that movie after all these years.

Tasha--- what a great surprise gift you are getting. Enjoy the weight bench.

This morning was Jillian's BFBM workout. I must admit that this one is pretty good. JM wasn't walking around too much annoying me with all her unnecessary comments. Much better and tougher than Shred. Good 50 minute workout.

Keep the you tube full workout recommendations coming. I can preview them during all this time I'm just sitting around:).

Good morning ladies! I realized I forgot to put in all the workouts I had done in yesterdays post! Thursday night was Buts and Guts (minus the core section), Fri was Slide N Glide cardio portion + XT core #1. Saturday was a rest day. Sunday was Hard Strikes cardio section plus core #1 and last night was the standing portion of Legs and Glutes. My neighbor was feeling chatty which is why last night's workout was so short :(.

Last night I tried out the Garbanzo bean cupcakes that was posted in the Diet and Nutrition section. I modified the recipe to use 4oz of unsweetened applesauce in place of 1/4 cup of sugar. I also decreased the cocoa powder by about 1/2c. I was able to slip a couple past Tyler but he knew something was different about them. I am telling you...it is near impossible to get anything past that kid's taste buds! He's cute though. He will eat something and then say..."what do you do to this?" And I'll say "Nothing". And he'll say "Yes you did....it taste different." That's when I know I'm busted!

Toni
I'm so sorry about the problems you and DH are having right now. I hope that counseling will work to get you both back on the same page. On the upside, it's nice that you can have some times to yourself to de-stress a bit...especially with everything else going on. Please let us know if you need anything even if it's a sympathetic ear or a place to vent!

Jennifer
You might be onto something with the step workout problems. I do know that sometimes she doesn't go really low on lunges and so far. I don't really push her on it because she is still just starting and right now the main goal is to keep her up and moving. I might just be feeling selfish because I miss some of the other workouts. I wouldn't be able to do them anyway though at her house because the area where I workout is so small. I have to even do leg abductions at an angle (leaning into the step rather than standing straight up) because there simply isn't any room. I just need to get organized so I get stopping staying up so late so I can get up early to get my workouts in as well.

Thanks for the "fly" feedback! ;)

I will have to look up the Snak Bar-O-Matic recipe! I hope it takes egg whites. I found a rogue carton of them behind some other items in the fridge and it expires soon.

Natasha
BODY BEAST!?!?! Congrats!!!! You will have to let me know how that is! I keep checking ebay for it but it's still selling at a premium! Sagi is gorgeous. I would do those workouts just to look at him!

Congrats on the bench! I was at Sears a while back and they had a bench with a barbell and 30 lbs of weight one clearance for $30 or $40. I am still kicking myself for not grabbing that deal then.

The Bob Harper DVD has the following workouts: Total Trainer Plus, Ultimate Cardio Body, Cardio Conditioning and Pure Burn Super Strength. Any experience with any of those?

HeartyMax
Glad to hear you liked BFBM! Maybe you could try the Deck of Card workout? You could just use an actual deck of cards or you can download the app to your phone.

Tyler was happy to go to school today for the first time in a very long while. I think he likes the new sub. Let's hope it stays this way!

Have a great day everyone!

Hello everyone :) Today was GS Legs. That is the first time that I have done that workout in it's entirety. Man was a complete leg workout!! My legs were so shaky after that. I definately need to do that one for a full rotation.

I'm am super duper excited. I sold my elliptical!! Put it on Craigslist yesterday, and it's gone today(money in my pocket!!). So guess who is getting a spin bike....this girl right here

So now my problem is that the bike I like is $800. I'm telling you I have very expensive tastes. I'm going to have to look at more and see if I really NEED to spend that much. I'm pretty picky and I don't want anything that is squeaky or will feel 'cheap'. If that's gonna be what I buy, then I might as well not spend any money cause I won't use it. This is the one I'm looking at:

Amazon.com: Sole Fitness SB700 Exercise Bike: Sports & Outdoors

Thanks everyone for the support with my home situation. I'm hoping for the best :)

Stacie
I was just thinking that HardStrikes is the only XT DVD that I haven't done yet. I'm going to see if I can fit that in next week!!

HeartyMax
You have been very creative this week with finding workouts!! I don't really like JM. I'll have to look at the one where you say she doesn't irritate you cause so far she irritates me in everything.

Tasha
Let us know what you think of Body Beast!!! Very excited for you.

Jennifer
Those bars sound interesting. Three ingredients sounds right up my alley!!

Toni--- I'm not a fan of JM either but she is serving the purpose this week. My body probably doesn't mind the change either. I have a Sole elliptical and I like it. Got it from Amazon a year ago. The spin bike looks good and amazon always have plenty of reviews. There was a website that people recommended on the forum. I can't remember the guys name but I almost got one but then decided on the elliptical.

Hello, and what beautiful evening - I just saw 7 deer grazing in the field behind my house. And 2 Canadian geese. Do they (the geese) sound like turkeys, does anyone know? I ask because I swear I heard the gobbles of a turkey but I only saw geese (and deer). We do have turkey around sometimes but I only rarely see them.

Tash,
That's funny about the food at Niagra Falls:confused:

Congratulations on the awesome bench and plates! Woo hoo! And also on the Body Beast, of course. I've heard of it but don't really know what it's about - I'll have to check it out! It's cool that Mark is interested in it as well.

I wonder if Mark would be interested in a Tough Mudder - it's a muddy and wet and insanely difficult obstacle course; stamina and strength. There's even some monkey bars to cross but they have strands that hang - if you touch a strand then you get shocked! It's pretty extreme but it's not a timed course and it's not as hard as American Ninja Warrior. It's also not the same thing a s Mud Run which are also becoming more popular.

Regarding the snack bars: an additional item that could be added is protein powder... I have no idea what "2 scoops of Shakeology" is but I used 2 regular scoops of vanilla protein powder. So, okay, that's 4 ingredients:rolleyes: But - no baking!

Stacie,
I know that some people do just take longer to move to the next level in their fitness programs so perhaps that's what it is, but I also know that - personally - riding the spin bike is much easier for me to slack a bit on the intensity than if I'm doing a step workout. Same goes with all workouts, really; there is always a way to cheat - but some workouts make it much harder to cheat; and perhaps that is what's going on with her. I don't think you're being selfish at ALL. You have 2 full time jobs and you're ready to get back to some of the workouts that you enjoy. It's great that you're helping her and I know she would hate to think that she's slowing you down so much. Maybe do 2 or 3 days with her and then do 2 or 3 days on your own.

Kids say the cutest things, don't they?!

The snack bars don't get baked - refrigerated only - so no egg whites; but the Lemon bars use egg whites - or you could make some nice egg-white omlets:D

Heartymax,
I'm glad you're finding some new workouts to do. It sort of kick-starts the excitement and motivation of working out:) I have 2 workouts by Jillian and actually she entertains me for the most part. The workouts themselves, though, I haven't done in a while; I really need to do her Yoga Meltdown again.

Toni,
Congrats on selling your elliptical! And geesh was that was fast:D Happy bike shopping - I'm very excited for you!

I like my Stamina bike (below); unfortunately it's not on sale anymore however it's still less expensive than your choice. I wonder if there's a local store where you could check out a few up close and personal?

Amazon.com: Stamina CPSIndoor Cycle (Black, Yellow): Sports & Outdoors

I'm sure you can't go wrong with the Star Trac or the Spinning brand bike, either, though I don't know how much they are.

Keep us posted!

I'm gonna hit the couch and fall sleep soon - have an awesome evening!

I did it....I ordered the bike :) I decided to get the one I wanted(in the link above). I just got a new credit card, which is giving me 0% interest until next June. It also gives cash back. I'm going to attempt to earn enough cash back to pay another $100 towards the bike. That will make my total out of pocket costs $300. That makes me feel much better about the purchase. Now I need spin DVDs. I just sent support an email to see if I can upgrade my pre-order to include the new spin DVD and I will of course get the two from Cathe. After that I'm going to research some of the cheaper download options I've been reading about. So excited for a kick-butt NO-IMPACT workout

Congrats on the purchase Toni!!

I did JM Cardio Kickboxing this morning. It was over and I didn't feel that I'd had a good workout so I went straight into Shred level 3. JM has some good plank work.

My eating has not been bad at all so I'm hoping not to gain any weight this week.

Hello ladies :)

Today's w/o was a 3 mile Leslie Walk. That's it, that's all :).

Stacie
Bella is the same way when it comes to the "healthier" version of desserts. She likes healthy food in it's natural state, but as soon as I try to eliminate flour, butter, oil, ect. from cookies and cakes, she can tell the difference . Yesterday I made CCK chocolate chip cookies and as soon as she tasted one, she literally gave me this look like I was trying to poison her . I thought they were pretty tasty :p.
I have all those BH w/o's you mentioned except for the first one. They are TOUGH . You'll see ;).

Toni
Congrats on the bike!

Heartymax
Check out Chris Freytag on youtube. She's awesome .

Jennifer
Yes, Canadian Geese sound like turkey's . BTW, try not to feed them at this time of year. They can get very aggressive with food and practically attack you! Once they weather get's nicer and they acquire more food, then they calm down.
I tried to find those snack things from Beach Body, but for some reason I'm having a hard time finding them. I'll try again!
FYI- if you ever decide to go to the Canadian side of Niagara, be warned. It's super expensive! And ya, the food is really costly and SUCKS! I don't mind paying money for food that is good, but I feel like I really get ripped off there . The only good thing IMO is the Maid Of The Mist (where you go near the falls).
BTW, Shakeology is Beach Body's own brand of protein powder.

Have a good day everyone!

Good afternoon ladies! I was bad and skipped working out last night. I'm kinda bummed out about it. My neighbor cancelled so I had an opportunity to do something REALLY fun (I was even thinking Rhythmic Step sound good) but I spent too much time trying to find Tyler's homework. I gave up and finally went to bed close to 1 am. I still have no idea where it went and also realized this morning that one of my favorite cook books is missing as well!!! I think I might have gremlins hiding somewhere in my apartment. ;)

Since I couldn't find the homework packet, I sucked it up and went to Tyler's classroom today to ask the teacher for another one. I was really afraid to do that because if anything slipped through the cracks with the original teacher she would later on tell Tyler that I was covering for him and that he needed to be more responsible. I have always been honest with her about things that I slipped up on vs something he missed but apparently she didn't believe me. I really hated that sometimes I would drop the ball (missing a homework sheet or forgetting that there's wasn't school on Friday so the homework needed to be turned in a day earlier and etc) but he would take the heat for it. Well, the new teacher was so nice about it! She gave me a big smile and said "I have an extra copy right here. It's no problem at all." What a relief! Tyler seems to really like her too so far. It's so nice to see him excited about school again.

Here is next month's rotation which we will start on Sunday. It's pretty much Cathe's March 2013 one with a few modifications.

Toni
Congrats on the new bike! I have been eyeballing the workouts on this site...they are reasonably priced and look pretty good!

DVDs And Videos

By the way, for some reason, they are way more expensive on Amazon.com and other sites.

Jennifer
I have honestly been thinking about having my neighbor workout on her own a couple days a week. However, I'm not sure if she would do it -- she even admits that (of course like I have room to talk -- I didn't workout yesterday! ;) ). I feel bad for her too because her kids aren't super supportive either.

It's ironic that you mentioned the Lemon Bars...that's exactly what I was thinking about making! You know, I have been meaning to mention this for some time now but kept forgetting...I was really surprised that when you suggested making them in the OD to the person who was looking for healthy snacks while in Disneyland that person wouldn't even consider them. While I realize that Crystal light has aspartame, there are other lemon flavored drink mix she could have used instead. I guess I find it weird when people ask for suggestions but then aren't really open to them.

Natasha
Too funny about Bella! Tyler does the same thing with the face. He has come up with this system for trying new things and it's actually pretty funny. He starts by taking it sniffing it all over in really quick sniffs -- just like a dog would do! If it passes the smell test, he moves onto the lick test. He will stick out his tongue just enough to get the smallest taste possible. If it passes the lick test, then he takes a small bite. Finally it all goes well (which often it doesn't), he'll take a regular size bite. He does this everywhere -- even in restaurants!

By the way, since you do a lot of baking / cooking as well, what is your stance on giving Bella food made with Stevia? I have been shielding Tyler for it but it really does increase the calories and lowers the health benefits of some of these dishes. Of course I sub in fruit pulp where possible but still...

Btw, I found Jennifer's recipe here. It looks similar to some of the ones for Larabars.
Team Beachbody - Newsletters. They might not have been able to call them that due to licensing issues.

Yesterday Tyler and I made CCK's vanilla donuts. I had found a donut maker on clearance at Target. They were super tasty!

Heartymax
I wasn't too surprised when you said the JM's Cardio Kickbox wasn't that great. I have read that from a couple of people...maybe even Natasha. Maybe you could do one of the Butt Bible workouts tomorrow?

TMJ
Hi there! Hope all is well with you!!!

Have a great day everyone!

Hello everyone!! Today was HC V2 minus any leg work. I felt like I had had quite enough with GS Legs yesterday  I also wanted a bit of cardio, so I did just a tad(maybe 15 minutes) of 4DS Low Intensity Step. What a totally fun workout. My legs were toast from yesterday so I didn't have much energy to put into it, but I still wanted to do the moves. They were just so fresh and fun. Totally forgot how much I truly enjoy step workouts!!

Ok, so I went to buy Ride and Cycle Max and well I just had to get a couple more  I could not help but use the save30 code this month, which saved me $46!! And free shipping since my order was over the limit. That's basically two free DVDs. Ummmm, who can say no to that??? So I got:

Ride
Cycle Max
High Reps
Butts and Gutts
Circuit Blast
Athletic Step
Yoga Relax
Lower Body Blast

I'm almost ashamed to say it, but I am pretty sure I have just about all of Cathe's collection except some of the beginner stuff and the compilation DVDs, which I don't care for :eek::eek: I am totally not buy anything for the rest of the year. I'm a workout hoarder!! I did go through my collection this week and I can honestly say that there is very little that I haven't done at all yet. And I will be rectifying that with my upcoming rotations. I'm planning on putting in every DVD that I haven't done so I can get familiar with all I have :D I think I will do Hard Strikes tomorrow. It's the only thing from XT that I haven't done, which I fine incredibly odd

Oh and I'm never going to pass up a pre-sale again. I bought LIS and Cardio Shock Series one by one....would have saved a ton just buying the bundle. Oh well, live and learn

Oh and my Spin Bike shipped today, which was way faster than I had planned. I could be spinning in just over a week :D

Stacie
Nice rotation!! And I'm so glad to hear the new teacher is easier to work with. That really does make such a huge difference for both you and Tyler!!

Tasha
Please tell me how you walk to a video? Every time I see you did that workout I get confused

HeartyMax
You should be fine with weight. And any weight you do gain, I'm sure you will loose quickly :) Enjoy your vacation...you deserve it!!

Jennifer
Thanks for the recommendations for bikes. One of the reasons I went with the one I did is that the handle bars adjust front/back and up/down. I have never even been to a spin class before and I really wanted to make sure that the bike was adjustable for my body. I'm expecting to really have to work up to this type of workout(I don't have the best muscle endurance) and I don't want the way the bike feels to be a problem. Plus I really need this to work. There are times when I really want to get in a high intensity workout but the impact just totally turns me off. I'm really looking at spinning as a joint friendly kick butt option for me.

Hello!!

Sorry for the rambling post today

Good afternoon ladies! Last night was a tough 45 minutes on the bike. I was doing some pretty tough intervals that included very high resistance that even required pedaling while standing! It was great! I actually kinda like NOT doing a spin DVD and just having a TV show on. I rarely watch TV any more so it's a nice change of pace. :) I'm happy with my bike. I don't regret getting it at all.

Tonight I think I am going to try CCK's chocolate cake made with cauliflower. I'll report back tomorrow to see if it any good and if I was able to pass the cauliflower past Tyler.

Toni
Congrats on the bike AND the new DVDs! Yes Cathe workouts are definitely addicting! Thank goodness for ebay or Tyler and I would have been living off of cup of noodles.;)

Have a great day everyone!

Hello everyone :)

Today I headed out to the park w/Bella. We were gone for a solid 2hrs -- playing, walking, enjoying the afternoon. Ahhh it felt wonderful to be outside again. So I consider that my w/o of the day :D.

Toni
Walking indoor with Leslie vids are actually a great way to get your step/miles in. The secret is in the pace. You can hit speeds of 4-5mph! There are also jog intervals, which allow you to hit your miles faster. I am a huge advocate of simply walking for health :).
Great selection of w/o's you chose . YOU MUST do High Reps immediately .

Stacie
Great looking rotation .
As far as cooking w/Stevia, I don't actually do it very often. Not for any particular reason, except that it can be too darn costly! I buy a small package of Xylitol, but I'm very conservative with it. Oh, I forgot to mention, you should bake w/coconut sugar! You can buy it in bulk! IMO, it's the best tasting alternative to white sugar.
Glad Tyler and his new teacher are getting along! That's wonderful :).
You and Toni are making me jealous with your new spin bike tales ;). I'm actually happy you guys have new fitness goodies :). It makes exercise so much more enjoyable.

Have a good evening :)

Hi fantastic forum friends!

So, my workouts since Burnsets on Monday have been Xtrain Barre with a Ride premix. Yesterday I did a Hotflash core workout, then I did JM's Yoga Meltdown, and then I did AOLIH (yes, it was an awesome morning!). I realize I should have reversed the last two but oh well. This morning I way over-slept so I guess today was a rest day.

Toni,
Congratulations on your new bike! Sounds like you made a very smart purchase:cool: I enjoyed your Addict post:D

I will admit that I also have just about every single one of Cathe's DVDs. There is one for sure that I don't have (basic Step) but I think I have all the rest, even some of the earlier ones on VHS. Variety is great! My husband teases me that I have a girl-crush (I do not but I think she's awesome!)

Tash,
Cool - thanks for letting me know about the geese! It's funny that they sound like turkeys! Thanks for the tip about the Falls:mad:

I will post the Snack Bar-O-Matic in the Recipes forum. Oh - I just saw that Stacie provided the link. BTW, I hear the Shakeology is super expensive (even if it is loaded with vitamins) but frankly I take a multi-vitamin so I'm perfectly happy with my Whey Isolate:)

Stacie,
I am SO HAPPY to hear about Tyler's new teacher - and also that he's excited about school again:D

True, there definitely are other options to Chrystal Light; in fact I did post again and mention the many other options. I hope she found what she was looking for because apparently it wasn't the Lemon bars:D

I understand about your neighbor. There really does come a time, though, where she is going to have to count on herself and at the same time I know you have to do what you feel you need to. Your rotation looks awesome!

Awesome - so glad you're enjoying your bike and got such a good workout with it. I'm so glad I have my bike, too - such an awesome workout! I can't believe I just wrote Awesome 3 times:eek:

I'm late for dinner - later taters

Going to catch a movie with my cousins today. We are headed back home tommorrow so I'm not looking forward to that 13 hour drive even though I am ready to go home.

I needed something more upbeat than JM. Oh my did I get it when I found a full workout of Turbo Fire 45. I didn't do to bad. Wow is it fast paced. I think I'm going to have to do this again when I get home. I'm tempted to add this to my collection.
