Happy St. Patrick's Day! They say everyone is Irish on St. Patty's day
Tonight I am going to try making a variation of the Greek Yogurt Broccoli Soup that was featured in Cathe's Newsletter. I've been wanting to make it anyway but since it'll be green I figured it's the perfect time to make it.
Speaking of, we didn't make it to the parade this morning. It was snowing and actually I wasn't up for it anyway... I'm feeling a little better now but last night and this morning I didn't feel very well (stomach ache and headache). The headache part is gone so at least there's that
Yesterday I took a rest day and this morning I did all 3 of the Total Body Stretch segments (13 minutes each). I did Ball #1 and Ball #2, and then decided to do the Basic one. They all felt great but I think I especially liked the Basic one because it has the Pigeon pose which has got to be one of the best stretches ever
Stacie,
Congratulations on your new bike! It looks fantastic, and what an awesome price! I'm so excited for you
Hope you enjoyed the parade and had a great time at the hockey game! Sounds like a super-fun day!
TmJ,
Definitely happy to hear you get a weekend off
Nice job with Intensity! That one has always been one of my go-to workouts; I just love it. The step portion is quick and it just goes by fast yet it's long enough that I really feel great when it's over.
Good luck with CrossFire! I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of it. That is the one workout that has ever made me feel like I was going to die - but only the first time or two.
I'm going to look into the books you mentioned - thanks! I'm sure I've heard of the Bernadette book before because I remember seeing the name somewhere (in a magazine I think) and wondering how a girl I used to know almost 30 years ago (Bernadette) is doing. I can't say I read a whole bunch but I think part of it is because I get stuck on what to try next; my library is very lacking and it's kind of sad, really. Reading is great, though - takes the brain on a vacation!
Heartymax,
A cushioned barbell?! I didn't know there was such a thing but that is exactly perfect
So you and Toni both like Vol#2 better than Vol#1 - I think I'll add that one to my wish list since Vol#1 is the only one I have.
Enjoy your volunteering at the school!
I wanted to ask, are you watching the Bible series on the History channel? We've watched a couple episodes and I really enjoy them. By the way, my pastor for the church that we don't go to is friends with Joel Osteen, and Joel is going to do the dedication for our new church building! I have my tickets already; they are free but you can imagine that seating is limited so we all had to RSVP.
Tash,
I wrote down Chris Freytag's Yoga because I know you've mentioned her before. I'm sure you've looked into downloads but aren't finding any? That just really blows that you get stuck with all those duty fees
It's just not right!
How is your DOMS doing?! I've got to try PLB! My shin splints are better - rest and stretching - so I should be good to go in another day or so
I know a few gay people and they aren't flamboyant about it, but I have seen some who are so I can just imagine the colors you're seen
Province Town in Massachusetts is a very colorful town - it's great, too; lots of shops and bars and restaurants and things to do in a nice, gay community right next to the beach. It's fun to go there; everyone seems outgoing and friendly!
Toni,
Hope you had a great weekend
Talk to you all later!
