Push It

Happy mid-week.
I'm going to the Ripped class tonight.
This morning instead of working out I threw together a crock-pot chili. It will be waiting for me when I get home:)

I'm a bit sore from PUB and my inner thighs are a bit sore from the floor work of B&G. Yay!

Tash,
You ain't kidding - that IS a lot of pushups! Way to go; just doing them and not giving
up is amazing! I really love the concept of 4DS, and I know it works great! As for me, I dunno, one of these days I may give it another go - after Xtrain comes out we'll see how much I want to change things around.

Strength & HiiT workouts can be very effective. It makes sense. Even Pauline says that developing the muscle will force the cellulite away (so to speak), as well as cardio and nutrition. Overall I know we just want to be strong and healthy, but looking fit is really part of what we want to look like. By the way, she has a Butt Bible 2 but it's a PDF format and isn't going to do anymore DVDs... it's hard to do a "print workout" alone, but maybe some Songza will help get me going with that :) If I had skype or anything like that I would try to find a workout buddy to do it with me!

Anyway, I watched the video, and wow - a free program is awesome!
I hope many people take advantage of it.

I agree, I'm not too interested in getting results if the results are based on a lifestyle that I can't maintain. I'm already the one that people roll their eyes at because I don't eat my french fries! LOL! I don't even crave them so I definitely don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. I feel I already eat as clean and healthy as I can and I have no desire to change my diet.

Toni, sorry your kids are sick; I hope they feel better soon and Jasmine can cheer tomorrow.

Have an awesome day!

Good afternoon everyone! Yes, I am alive! It has been sheer chaos since we got back and there has been no time to breathe. Work has been a complete mess and there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to get everything done. The dog has been sick too which you would think wouldn't be a big deal but he keeps make messes in the apartment and I have to keep cleaning and steaming the carpets every time I go home and wake up in the morning. There has been no time for workouts -- hopefully tonight I can get one in. I feel like the only thing I have really accomplished is getting two care packages mailed out. I haven't even been able to return two DVDs to the library and they are already incurring late fees!

Toni
Sorry to hear about the kids! Hopefully DD will be better by the competition.

STS does take commitment. The workouts generally take a bit longer than the planned time because of all the equipment changes. Most take about 70-90 minutes for me even though the case says only 60 minutes. I simply cannot do the changes as quickly as Cathe and her crew can.

Tasha
Fantastic job on the pushups! I am very envious! They still challenge me to this day.

By the way, lots of people in the fitness realm are saying shorter HiiTs with strength training is the way to go to loose fat. I don't know though what the long term effect of this will be because HiiTs tend to put a strain on the body IMO. I wonder if in 5-10 years the advice will change again. It's the one of the many reasons why I chose to cross train. I am not fully convinced that only doing HiiTs for cardio is really best for the long term. I worry about joint issues and such as people get older.

Jennifer
The Rushfit blog had an entire article about foam rollers and how good they are for you! I thought of you when I got the email. I briefly scanned it since I haven't had the time to read it all the way through but they are definitely toting them as good recovery tools. Here's a link to it:
Fact Sheet: Foam Rollers for Therapy | GSP Rushfit

On an old topic, personally, I think it's kinda weak when trainers have DVDs for people but they don't do the workouts they are selling to other people! It seems like false advertising IMO. You see this incredibly toned instructor so you buy their DVD but the reality is no how many times you do it, you will never look like them. Just my opinion though...

HeartyMax
I agree with you that Meso #2 is better than #1. I am finding that I don't like High Rep workouts that much.

Sigh...back to work! Bye for now!

Hi everyone :)

I did a real goodie yesterday . I would recommend this little mix & match if you want an excellent cardio LB workout .
Crossfire Circuit Blast (premix) + 4DS Legs (premix). Total time 65min. So the CF Circuit Blast has lots of plyo and leg work. It was only 30min but man was I huffing and puffing. 4DS is heavy leg work, although there are some leg lifts with an ankle weight and a short outer thigh band section. Both of these workouts I have are on DVD, so I did have to change disc after CF, but I needed the time anyway to bring my HR down.

Toni
I'm sorry about the kids home sick :(. I hope they get better soon.
I agree with you regarding the cardio. I will not neglect them altogether. Some of my fav step workouts are steady-state :). I will however try split routines w/hiit just to see how my body reacts. I feel balance is the way to go with exercise and nutrition.

Stacie
I'm sorry about the chaos going on at work and your dog being sick :(. I hope things continue to get better this week.
Regarding the push-ups, I did most of them on my toes. Nothing special as far as I'm concerned. But thank you for the compliment :).
You are right, the fitness industry and what they deem "good" "bad" "better" is always changing, just like certain foods. I hope Cathe's Low Impact Hiit is one I will enjoy so I can alternate between high/low impact. I also hope it's not plank overload .

Jennifer
Tis' the season for Crock Pots :p. I hope your chili and Ripped class turned out well :).
I don't think I could ever do a workout at home if there was not a video to go along with it -- unless I was at the gym. Just following a written format would not motivate me.
The program has some great recipes! I posted one here on the forum, it's a high protein, low carb, cinnamon roll! I am going to make them this week and see how they turn out!
I feel you on the rolling eye's thing. People already think I eat too clean, but I don't even think it's that clean. The one thing I am a stickler for is veggies. If I run out, I feel my meal is not complete, and so I get a bit antsy to buy more. You will often hear me say "I need my veggies! I ran out of veggies!" like it's some emergency .

Gotta jet! Have a good day.

Hi!
This morning I did the step portion of Intensity, and then I did 3 different exercises (3 sets of 15 reps) for glutes. Next time I do that I will need to have my laptop with me so I can get some awesome music from Songza.

Tash,
Emergency Veggies! That's awesome:D Even if we are just a little healthful in our eating habits we are considered health nuts to people who don't think at all about what they put into their mouths. Oh well, glad it's not me:)

Great tip on the workout - sounds awesome! That will be on my menu this weekend:) I appreciate that you noted the length of time; that is always helpful!

I've been looking a bit at Songza, they have a TON of categories - how awesome! Thank you SO much for passing that along:cool: It will make my PDF workout better:)

Stacie,
Glad you're back safe! So sorry about the dog, and I can relate. Whisper had the canine flu once and making terrible messes on the floor several times a day.

I agree with you, too, that instructors who make DVDs really should do their own workouts.

Thank you for the foam roller info - the black ones are the best, they are the most dense. I need one of those; wish I could trade my regular one for it!

Gotta roll.
Have an awesome night!

Today's workout was Drill Max cardio premix. It's been pretty chilly lately. Looking forward to the weekend!! No plans, but it has been a tiring week.

Happy Friday :)

Yesterday's w/o was very shoulder focused: TTM Core & UB + Tabata S&G + 4DS Shoulder's. Total time a sweaty 40min with warm-up. The TTM segment with the Tabata really worked my shoulder's in such a short period. By the time I got to 4DS, they were already fried!

Today DH is home, so I was able to do my workout at a luxurious time, 11:00am [ahhhh]. I did Step, Jump & Pump (step cardio only) + Intensity low impact hiit portion + 4DS bi's & tri's. The whole workout came in at about 60min.

I'm actually enjoying the split weight training with 1-2 muscle groups these days. I think my body, since it's very hard for me to build muscle overall, responds better to this type of training. I have discovered that total-body weight work is less effective for my body type. I need to really focus on UB and LB separately to see optimal results.

Jennifer
Glad you are enjoying Songza! I know, that website is THE BOMB!
Along with my eating habits, I have been criticized for the longest time because I chose to walk everywhere . People used to ask me all the time why I would walk here or there. I used to live beside one mother (before we moved) who had two kids (same age as Bella) and when she would see me walking to the store, she would ask why I did that. Or if I chose to walk to a further park. I would feel slightly embarrassed. Meanwhile this woman could have afforded to lose a few pounds (if you get my drift). She would also offer me cookies, and I didn't want to look like a prude, so I would take a few. She would then offer me more, and I would decline. I mean, how many cookies am I supposed to eat? She used to say "oh come on! You don't need to lose weight!". But it was not about losing weight, it was about not inhaling 10 cookies in a row! Most people I've met have this mentality, and so I find it difficult to relate to them :(.

Ok, well you ladies have a wonderful day!

Hi everyone :)

Yesterday's w/o was Plyo Legs W2 + STS extended stretch. I really had to go to my "happy place" during the 180 turning squats w/weight . I'm getting uber excited for Xtrain, as Cardio Leg Blast will be of similar concept to Plyo Legs.

Today I will be visiting my aunts house. My grandmother lives with her and I have not seen her in a few months :(. She is approaching her 80th b-day next year. Except for the few ailments she has, I consider her pretty healthy. She has a great appetite on her 4'11, 105lbs frame too. She eats a lot of healthy food, but she is also a fan of dessert :p. Everyday she has some sort of cookie, cake, ice cream, whatever she feels like having. During the holidays you will often see her indulging in a lot of decadent goodies. She does not have diabetes, high BP, nothing! I think that's where I get my sweet tooth from .

Have a good day :)

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I had chili-dog and chips and a soda on Saturday while I watched the football game. It was sooooo good. I feel like a kid when I eat that.:D

This mornings workout was Meso 2 back and biceps followed by planks. The weather is supposed to be in the high 60s this afternoon!

Tasha---I know exactly what you mean by people not understanding that we don't exercise to loose weight. Well---some people do---but exercise is good for the heart and helps to manage stress. Exercise is not always about loosing weight. Just because I don't want a donut in the office in the morning or all the baked cookies doesn't mean I am on a diet either. AARGGHHH.. I have had many experiences like that.

Happy Monday.
Friday I skipped but Saturday I did Lower Body Blast - my buns are still feeling it today!

Sunday I did UB Trisets and was SO pumped afterwards that I almost went for a jog (um, I'm not normally a jogger)!

I played with one of the dogs instead (Dawn)... she's the only one who likes to play catch and fetch; the other two just lounge or beg to go for walks. Dawn also gets excited for walks - she starts hopping up and down like she's on springs; it's SO darn cute! Craig and I did take them for a short walk yesterday even though Whisper and Aurora seem to have some sort of muscle strain going on... Whisper in his back leg/hip and Aurora in her front shoulder. Don't know what's going on with them but they should be feeling better soon. We'll take them to the vet if it carries on much longer.

Anyway, I digress. I'm going to do some cardio today but I'm not sure what. Since I took today off work I'm not in a real big hurry to get going with that... I'll watch another episode of Breaking Bad (S4 E6) and then hop to it.

Tash,
Yay! Glad you're able to get back to your regular workout time! What a difference it makes:)

180 squats with weights?! That scares me:eek: But other than that I've heard how much several of you love Plyo Legs so that makes me even more excited for XTrain:D I'm hoping it's just another couple weeks until they start shipping, and since I know you get the downloads you will get your order before I get mine - you'll have to let me know which one you do first, if you can decide! LOL! Any thoughts? I'm thinking Hard Strike for me.

I hope you had a very nice visit with your aunt and grandmother, it's good to hear grandma is so healthy:) Craig's mom will be 81 in April/2013 and she is sharp as a tack. She walks fairly regularly and overall I think she is healthy.

So, I do like how you're focusing on a couple muscle groups at a time. Someone else has mentioned how 4DS gave her good results, too (Susan, I think!). I think that's something I'll need to get used to because I really enjoy my fairly long cardio in the morning, but I also love my weights and longer sessions but less frequent might be a nice change. As for lower body, like you I do need to dedicate a couple workouts a week to that. I also like tacking on a few sets after cardio for a 3rd-ish session/week.

Quick story. I've mentioned that Craig's friend's wives seem to be jealous or something... We were all at a birthday party Friday night and the food was all fried. I was eating, of course, even though I was disappointed in the selection; one of the girls kept trying to tell me I needed to eat MORE:rolleyes: Also, I never like to flaunt that I'm in pretty good shape - ever, seriously, especially to them since they have issues already - but this time I was just so sick of people trying to make me feel bad about my lifestyle that I just really enjoyed walking around in my new jeans which really flattered my figure. I saw them watching me and I felt like "there - in your faces, chicks."

I best get - take care, ladies - have an awesome day!

Good morning everyone! Things are finally starting to slow down a bit for Tyler and me! Thank goodness! Last night I actually worked out with my neighbor. We did a program that was on Comcast's On Demand. It was ok -- not a sweat fest like a Cathe but it was still good. It was a beginner program and it was actually harder than I thought it would be. Tonight I want to introduce her to some weight programs. I am debating which one would be best...maybe a TBT premix, a High Reps premix, or a 4DS premix. It definitely can't be too long or too over the top. She isn't fond of DOMS at all so if she gets really sore I think she will get turned off on exercise which is the LAST thing I want to happen. Sunday, I also built two more care packages that I need to mail off today. Hooray! The dog is also back to normal which is awesome since that means his accidents have stopped.

Natasha
How was your visit with your family? That's awesome that your grandma is in such good health! My grandma was like that too until her sight failed and then she went down hill from there. I am glad that your grandma is so strong and healthy. Enjoy your time with her while you can!

Jennifer
It does seem like some women get extremely jealous of other women. I have no idea where it all comes from. I think you handled it wonderfully!

HeartyMax
Your comment about why people exercise reminded me of today's Cathe article about being fit and fat. No many people realize that exercise is amazing for you even if the scale doesn't budge at all or if your don't have the body of a super model. For some of us, exercise isn't just a fad to loose 5 lbs, it's a lifestyle.

Toni
I hope your family is feeling better!

Have a fantastic day everyone!

Hi everyone :)

So it's TTOTM for me. I'm tired, my energy is 0, and my LB DOMS is pretty bad from Plyo Legs. I attempted to do Imax1, but the forces were working against me -- I quit after about 15min. Tonight when I put Bella to bed, I may do a 2 mile Leslie walk + 30min Yoga Relax.

Stacie
Glad things have slowed down for you and Tyler :). My life last year was very hectic, stressful, and exhausting :(. There is always a nice calm after the storm though :).
How great of you to w/o with your neighbor! THAT IS AWESOME .

Jennifer
Heck ya, you strut your sexy stuff! Honestly, I don't get jealousy between females. I think the reason why I've never really been that way is because I've always had mainly guys as friends, I used to hang out a lot with my guy cousin's, and I generally like men better so I gravitate towards them :D. I think jealousy usually stems from insecurity anyway . When you said "in your face chicks" I think you wanted to use another word that started with a B right? ;).
I hope everything is ok with your doggies :(. I love that you have a home full of fur babies :).
I really want to try the Low Impact Hiit first. Perhaps Hard Strikes. But Cardio Leg Blast is up there too. Hmmm, what a hard decision!

Heartymax
I love food that brings me back to my childhood. For me, that would probably be Oreo's dunked in milk . We won't discuss how that used to be a frequent bedtime snack of mine .
We are getting fabulous weather here too!

Toni
Hope things are going well :).

Have a good night all ;)

Good morning,
I did a pushup count the other day - 16 consecutive! I think that's my personal best:) It was during Trisets, and although I did finish all the reps in the sets I did drop to my knees at some point.

Monday I did 4DS Higher Intensity Step two times. I was having a hard time with the 3rd combo so I kept stopping and rewinding. When I finally got it mostly down I decided to do the thing all over again.. I think entirely the time was under an hour since I didn't do both warm ups or cool downs; only one of each.

This morning I did Circuit Blast. I LOVE that one. The band work isn't too bad; since my shoulder is better it's working me properly and doesn't bother my neck. What a relief!

I wanted to reduce some of the impact:
Instead of the tuck jumps I did squat digs and I kept going - I didn't take the breaks during the tuck jump sets. I did do the air jacks and the frog hops... wanted to keep the workout as real as possible.

One other exercise change:
Instead of "jump over the step/turn/drop down for a pushup/jump up (repeat)" I did hip thrusts with a 30lb barbell. I wanted additional glute work instead of more pushups. I'm ready to up my weight to 35lbs so I don't have to spend so much time doing a ton of reps.

I followed CB with some floor work from GS Legs. It was about a 60min w/o.

Tash,
I forgot about the Low Impact HiiT! It will be a tough decision:D Your walk and Yoga sounds like a great workout while keeping things low stress on the body, not to mention relaxing:)

I agree - it is so much easier to get along with men. And yes, I did want to use the B word instead of Chicks;) Personally, if there's something about myself that I want to change then I work to change it -- I don't get jealous of others and be rude to them to make them feel bad. That just means I'm a nice person:) It took me a long time to realize that the problem wasn't me - it is them. It took me a long time to learn that because I can't relate to it and didn't understand it.

I have to spend 2 days and 2 nights with these same women starting this Friday through Sunday.
One of the couples have a Time Share and we are going out of town with them. I'm going to have a good time no matter what; I'm going Christmas shopping at one of the outlet malls, and we're going to see a beautiful and huge Christmas lights display. Plus I'll be with Craig and at least one other girl and her boyfriend which we're good friends with:) Thank God the dogs are doing better otherwise I'd be uncomfortable leaving them with our dog sitter.

Aurora's shoulder is better - she started acting more like herself yesterday. That was a relief!
Whisper went to the vet yesterday. There's nothing broken (which we figured) and nothing is out of alignment (but I thought surely his hip was); there's no inflammation that the vet can feel. He did say that his toe isn't bending properly, which he thinks is from arthritis, and that is what he thinks is making Whisper turn his foot/leg/hip awkwardly. We have him on Glucosamine, and we have some pain pills for him if he really needs it.
Thanks for asking:)

Stacie,
Do you have turbo barre? That has a nice upper body high rep session that won't give her DOMS; depending on her strength she could even use soup cans. Plus, the moves are not complex and it's not very long. In fact you might even still have time for a short walk.
Or like you said, a High Reps Premix sounds like it would be a good choice:)

I'm so glad that you're helping your neighbor - sounds like she really needs you right now. Plus, nice job on 2 more care packages! You are so generous and thoughtful:cool:

Thank God your dog is feeling better, too, and man - those accidents are gross and hard to clean!

Hi Heartymax and Toni
Take care everyone and have a great day!

Good morning ladies! Last night the neighbor and I did High Step Circuit. She did pretty good on that one -- I was pretty proud of her. The lunges did bother her a bit but we just did the upper body work without the lunges. We substituted one of the moves with bicep curls...I don't even know how many we did. I also got her to do 10 table top pushups which was fantastic! I need to try to find time in the mornings to get a little more advanced workouts in for myself. I will be soooo happy when XTrain comes out. Tonight we do another Cardio session...not sure what yet. I thought maybe KPC but there is very little space in her living room.

Natasha
So sorry about TTTM...why can't the men have that? They get off easy on everything!!!! If we have to suffer TTTM, why can't they have the babies then?

Things are nowhere near calm yet -- just better than they were! I hope adding the Math Kumon (which starts this week) doesn't really through things out of whack.

Jennifer
I was thinking the B word too about those women. You are so nice though that I didn't think you were thinking that! Screw them though -- don't let them ruin your weekend away!

Glad to hear your dogs are doing better as well. They are almost like children aren't they? (Except in my case usually better behaved...lol...just kidding).

Thanks for the tip on TB. I have only done that workout once because for some reason the barre work KILLED my knees. I might have been doing something wrong though because I didn't find it that hard. That's definitely something to look into for our workout tomorrow. Thank you so much!

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Jennifer---your personal best in push ups is pretty good!!

Stacie---nice of you to try to motivate your neighbor to workout.

Today's workout 40 minutes on elliptical. I am tired for some reason.

Good morning ladies :)

No workout for me yesterday. I needed the rest :). Today's w/o will be M2 Back & Bi's. I also need to get out and walk sometime today. Yesterday seemed like a total write-off for me :(.

Stacie
That's great you are taking the time to w/o with your neighbor and motivate her. KPC is a great cardio w/o that does not require very much room. The MMA's are good for an intermediate w/o too. Do you have those?

Heartymax
I've been tired too. TTOTM and I think colder weather with less sunshine is making me feel blah.

Jennifer
Congrats on the 16 push-ups! That's an awesome # :).
That 4DS 3rd combo is SO frustrating! I did it last week and was thinking of rewinding too, but I already did Intensity beforehand, so I was like "nah! Screw it!". That does not detour me from doing the w/o though because I still find it so much fun.
I like CIrcuit Blast too. It was my 4th Cathe download :D.
So you did the hip thrusts w/the barbell? How do you like it???
I am thinking of doing GSL floor work on Sunday w/some hiit. Hopefully my legs don't collapse .
I'm happy your fur babies are feeling better :). I was thinking about the future, and if I actually want to get a dog. I get so attached to my pets that I can't imagine getting a breed that lives only 10yrs :(. It would break my heart.

Have a good day ladies

Good morning everyone! Last night while Tyler was at Kumon I rushed off to the library to check out some beginner DVDs. I came out with 10 of them including Cathe's Basic step. We wound up doing a Richard Simmons dance one. I have to say though that if it were just me working out I don't think I would do that one. There is almost no cueing and I didn't even break a sweat. I was fun though but not as fun as a good step DVD. My neighbor did have to take two breaks so it was definitely a good selection for her. I really need to find a way to get my own workouts in as well since I am feeling like a caged animal. She tried to blow me off for tonight saying she had a book club meeting but I told her that she would probably be back long before we work out. We'll see what happens. I checked out Gilad's Total Body Sculpt DVD and I think will be good for her on our weight training days. I plan to almost double the weights he uses in that one to get my workout in too.

I have some good news! My dad has offered to buy me boxing gloves as my Christmas present! Hooray! Those will come in handy with the new bag!

Natasha
I only have the MMA Boxing DVD. Are they good? I read some not so good reviews of MMA Fusion. It looks interesting to me though. Some people don't like the entire Shock Cardio set. I am not sure why. I kinda like that they are shorter DVDs. The only one that I look at in fear is the HiiT one.

Don't be sad about taking a day off...it sounds like you needed one! You are so dedicated I wouldn't even stress about one day!

HeartyMax
I hope you aren't coming down with something! The crude has been going around here in Colorado. I know I usually feel super tired before I realize I have caught something.

Well, ladies, I might not check in tomorrow because our team here at work is volunteering at the Food Bank all day. Just in case, have a wonderful day today and tomorrow!

Hey everyone! I'm finally back to myself again. My kids infected me with their flu germs...hehe. I haven't worked out in at least a week I think. I felt good enough to workout today, but I simply did not have the energy for it because I haven't eaten much the past few days. Working on getting my calories up to normal levels so my energy is normal as well. Going to do at least 30 minutes of something tomorrow. Most likely kickboxing.

Hopefully tomorrow I will actually have a workout to report :)

Hello,
I skipped today to get to work early. I thought I'd at least be able to make it to the Ripped class but my dental apt went on too long...

Apparently Crest Complete uses a different kind of fluoride and has a tendency to create some sort of staining on the teeth (dark brown - yuck). I thought I was simply getting more coffee stains because of age or something, but nope - an hour of scraping and cleaning. All because of my mouthwash! At least it all came off.

Stick with ACT - that's the word from my dentist's office. By the way, Listerine is too drying because of the alcohol and that's not good, either (according to my dentist's office).

Stacie,
About your knees bothering you during Turbo Barre. I would guess that you are using your knee joint more than you're using your hamstrings, glutes, and lower back. Try to focus on using the stabilizing muscles to take the pressure off your knees.
Make sure you are tilting your pelvis and really getting those muscles - not just bending the knee.

Squats can bother my knees with all the extra weight from the barbell but if I focus more on those stabilizing muscles and avoid using my knees that always helps.

It's so awesome that you're able to workout with your neighbor and develop that friend/workout buddy relationship:)
I hope you can make the time for yourself in the morning to get your workout done so you'll feel so much better, or continue your workout at home after working out with her.

Yay for your boxing gloves, by the way! I wonder if your neighbor would enjoy going a round or two on your bag; you guys could do a circuit style workout.

As for me, all I can say is that even nice people have their moments and breaking points:D I'm convinced that kindness and letting things go really make people think it's a weakness. That's the story of my life - just trying to not make things a big deal... but ya know, sometimes people go too far and by then I am DONE with it. Hear me roar! LOL!

Tasha,
Good for you for taking a rest day:)

Floor work after a HiiT - let me know how it goes! I'm not sure the 40/20 one would be the best choice for preceding a floor workout, though. The other two seem easier on the legs - they don't have the running mans or butt kicks over the step. Either way, one never knows until it's tried!

I love the barbell thrusts! It is hard to see exactly what I'm doing but I can feel what I'm doing, that's for sure. I've tried doing it with my shoulders on the bench and I find getting into position very challenging. For me the easiest way to get into position is on the stability ball.

It is always hard losing a pet:( The way I see it is that there are so many animals who need a good home, and if I can give it to them and give them a chance to know love and happiness then that makes me happy. Sometimes they live until 14 and sometimes they don't make it that long. When they go we mourn, and then rescue another one. There's just too many and no one can save them all. But personally my life would be pretty empty without my dogs and when the time comes to say goodbye I know I'll get another one:rolleyes: We have a wall of fame in our hallway; all the ones who've passed on have their pictures in frames on the hallway wall - because of the memories I have of them I always smile when I see their pictures:) And of course I miss them still but by then it doesn't hurt so much. I had to wait 2 months before I could add Duchess's picture to the wall; but I have the other animals to love.

Heartymax, thanks! I'm still going for 20 PUs one of these days;)
I hope you get some rest; 'tis the season to be tired, that's for sure.

Goodnight everyone, take care!

Good morning everyone :)

I had a really rough sleep last night. I stayed up late watching the last 2 episodes of Parenthood S3 on Netflix. I was crying my eye's out . That show always get's me bad. Then I had a hard time falling asleep . I woke up at 4am to hear my cat crying like a baby . She would not stop and so I had to see what was going on -- she wanted water and food . Come 5:40am and I heard the train blowing it's horn, AND the garbage truck sounding his reverse alarm. So there was "toot-toot-beep-beep" for 30min straight! I was like "seriously? Is this some kind of sick joke?". 4hrs of sleep at the most for me :(.

Yesterday's w/o was M1 Back & Tri's. I also did a 2 mile Leslie walk + 25min Yoga Max in the evening. I bought a yoga block, and it really helped with some of the poses where my hands need to be placed on the ground while in a standing position. I'm hoping my flexibility improves.

Congrats on the boxing gloves! I am SUPER SUPER jealous :D. You have to let me know how Hard Strikes fares with all the equipment .
I like the MMA's! They are both intermediate and good when you don't feel like getting slayed. I can see why people don't like them though -- they don't have Cathe's usual kick-butt factor. Yes, many people were disappointed with Shock Cardio. I personally would never give it up!

You are absolutely right about the pets :). No matter how long they have on earth, if we provide a loving and happy home for them, it's all worth it.
I will make a note about Crest Complete! That's pretty weird .
Good call on the stability ball! I think I will do that too, thanks ;).
Ha, ha, I've never attempted a hiit before/after floor work . Perhaps I'll do 30/30 as there is no way in hell I could do 40/20!

Toni
Sorry you got sick :(. Glad you are feeling better and able to workout again :).

Have a good one ladies!
